No matter how busy they get, they accommodate everyone well and with good attitudes. Thank you! The steak is cooked perfect every time, but I can never get enough of that garlic butter! I always ask for extra on the side YUM! & add an order of their blackened shrimp too! You won't be disappointed! We also really enjoy the pitadillas, it's so cheesy and delicious!! They are quesadillas made with pita instead of tortilla, you have to try them! But we always start out with the crispy shrimp appetizer, the shrimp are JUMBO!! I've been here multiple times. They have outdoor seating with a beautiful lake view and an outdoor bar. Inside there's also a bar and dining room. Service is great and you get a 10% Yelp discount WOOT. I had shrimp tacos and broccoli and it was good. The water is not good so get something else to drink. read more

I have been to Puddle Jumpers several times on their trivia nights and more recently went there for lunch with my wife and a few friends. It occurs to me I have mostly only had appetizers there. This last time my wife and I shared wings. You get them plain with the sauce that gives them the flavor, such as garlic Parmesan for us. They were good. I also ordered a bowl of chili, which was also quite good with beef and chicken. And onion rings, which were okay but not great. They were brought stacked onto a metal airplane that is hard to describe. It was a fun presentation and I wish I had taken a picture. My wife got Pita Dallas, which she liked but which didn't do much for me, plus we accepted an order of fries they brought to our table by mistake. It became a very expensive lunch, but we brought some home and made another meal out of it. Our friends all seemed to like what they ordered, such as the macho nachos, pork rinds and a fish dish I can't remember the name of right now. Parking can be a problem there, so you might want to check for on street parking nearby before venturing into the packed parking lot. read more

Pretty lakeside location. We arrived early so we could get a table for six. The lake provided entertainment from boating and seaplanes I ordered the nachos. The restaurant does not have any salsa. That made it pretty dry. I ordered a drink from the bar. I never got it but was not charged for one, so it's all good. We arrived at the time for evening seating. The hostess did not show up until another ten minutes. No one else there was authorized to seat patrons. While we were there waiting, something happened at the door and a lady fell striking her head. I like Puddle Jumpers a lot. The food is great, the service is good, the location is wonderful. It's a trifecta! My last visit there was a wait of about 40 minutes for a table - we asked if we could order at the bar, which of course we could, and went and grabbed a seat right away. Despite how crazy busy they were at that moment, the service was still excellent and I never felt like we weren't being taken care of. The bar staff were great and attentive. The food did take just a tad longer to come out than I would have expected - but they were busy and doing their best so that was easy to overlook. When you're sitting at a lakeside bar, with wonderful weather, sipping a cocktail anyway, what difference does a few extra minutes make? None. No complaints and worth the wait. The food was excellent! I had the Mahi - it came with chips and coleslaw. All of it was very good. The coleslaw especially. It was not overly sweet and no overly soupy. At first she was pretty good about checking and refilling drinks but once the food got there she basically disappeared. This is not a place to go if you only have an hour or less for lunch. After meeting some nice folks at the amazing Buster Tubbs, they suggested Puddle Jumpers. My cocktail which was a local version of a Long Island Ice Tea was light and not to sweet that still packed a punch, made by the wonderful Lindsey I could not help but to have a 2nd. Well an incredible burger for my wife cooked to the perfect temp. We found the town of Tavares accidentally but once there we decided to grab dinner. Puddle Jumpers looks like a typical hole in the wall beach bar located on a lake. We loved it. RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATION: We had a very enjoyable tasty lunch Saturday at Puddle Jumpers in Tavares. The restaurant was full but we were still able to get a table right away. We chose to sit outside since the view right on the water is so nice. Our waitress came over immediately. She was nice and very efficient. I opted for mahi mahi fish tacos which were excellent. Messy, but the fish was well cooked and the sauce and filling extremely fresh. The accompanying onion rings were delicious. My husband had a steak burger which he said was also really good as were the sweet potato tater tots. Make no mistake, this is mainly pub food but it's a cut above the usual fare. Afterwards, we walked by the water to work off some of those calories and got to see a plane taxi in on the lake. There are several restaurants in this area that look promising, as well as a few shops. We'll definitely be back. read more

Called ahead was told no reservations upon arrival we saw a table set up for a party of 30 which clearly reservations were taken. We were originally seated at a high top which wasn't going to accommodate our party of 10 nor my wife who is 8 months pregnant. We requested to be moved and it was such a hassle between all staff along with being given sarcastic comments. Staff was not accommodating and is not accommodating for large parties.
