Came in today with two friends for lunch. Walked in with masks on and was shocked to see that NO ONE had on a mask. When I see severs without masks, I am concerned!! We chose to sit outside due to no masks. The menus were the type used before Covid-no wipe down before we received them. Condiments on the table also prior to Covid wipe downs. I was very unhappy with the sanitization standards. To get a refill on tea and water, the waitress took our glass and came back with them rather than bringing a fresh glass. I really liked this place. I had the Steakhouse burger and fries and my wife had the fish and chips. My wife ate all of her food which is a major sign of how good it was. I did too which is not unusual but I also enjoyed immensely. It was truly a steak burger - very good quality meat and cooked perfectly. It was a $12.00 burger but I didn't mind paying a little more when I found out how good it was. The fries were seasoned to perfection. I would definitely come back. You can sit outside but I enjoyed the AC inside and the view of the lake and seaplanes. The waiter was very friendly and efficient and we were served quickly. 2nd time - my wife and I ate outside. Great service, tables well spaced and great food. And we were under a large tent which blocked the harsh sunlight but allowed lots of breeze and a great view of the lake. read more

This interesting place has pretty good food, good service and a great environment. I really liked the fish and chips and would recommend them for a try. I think what makes this place unique is the planes taking off and landing on the water. Gives kind of an interesting thing to check out while your eating. Busy place so waited 30 minutes to be seated, but the meals (coconut shrimp order and hamburger order) were both very good. If you sit outside don't sit by the very noisy bar! The outstanding feature of this restaurant was the wait staff. We had a wonderful lunch here. The weather was dreary but our service and food was awesome! Sandra was a top notch server. One of the best we have had in Florida. She was cheerful and attentive! My husband and I both had tacos. They were delicious. He ordered the mahi ones but got 1 mahi and 1 shrimp which was an option. She then brought him another mahi. Really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Although, I do not recommend the cheesecake, very poor quality frozen item that begins to ooze and melt. We were there during a boat race in the lake nearby. The staff was really great with our dog. Our only complaint is that when busy, local uptight snobs feel it's ok to push their way through, bypassing the host stand and snagging tables outside where they like. This prolonging the other guest's time. During very busy operations like the time we visited, we could see how difficult it is for staff to manage these local jerks that bring a bad name to the rest of us. read more

Food was good. Service was slow when I was with a large group (12) on two occasions. Once My granddaughter didn't get what she ordered, and another time they forgot her completely. The setting is wonderful...lakefront outside dining and occasionally you see a plane land on the lake as there is a docking area for planes (thus the name) Lots of palm trees. read more

Waited for over the estimated 30 minutes to be seated and wait another length amount of time without even a 5th chair for our party of five or someone getting us a drink order. We had a toddler with us that was very patient but this place has horrible service. The hostesses took forever to even greet us at the door. I've worked in the restaurant service industry. My hubby and I had a pretty good experience here. We had pretty good service. We just noticed a lot of tension between the servers and staff. No need for managers to yell at servers. The manager's should do their job too. The restaurant business is a team effort. And servers should have better attitudes if they want better tips. Our server was great though. Went to Puddle Jumpers on St. Patrick's Day. I had organized a group of 14 from my Bocce league to get together to celebrate our season and St. Paddy's Day. We had reservations for noon but we we're running late because the water was VERY choppy ( we took a pontoon boat from Leesburg). We called about 45 minutes before our reservation and told Puddle Jumpers we'd be about an hour late. They were very kind on the phone and wished us well and that we'd have seats when we got there. When we arrived it was packed; yet they greyus with a smile and accommodated us immediately. Our waitress, Alexis was very sweet and patient with our large group. The food was excellent (although I was disappointed that there wasn't any corned beef and cabbage). I'd recommend Puddle Jumpers; ask for the chili and the fish tacos! First time at Puddle Jumpers and was extremely disappointed. Our host didn't listen to what she asked me. She never greeted us either. I said four people and we would like to be seated inside. She grab 3 menus and tried to seat us outside. Our server is the reason why I gave it a two stars. Because I could see she genuinely cared. The kitchen on the other hand is horrible. I asked for no cheese on my sliders and when it came out it had cheese. Instead of making me some new sliders they scraped the cheese off the sliders turned it upside down and had the runner bring it back to me. By the way do not drink their water it taste horrible. The cinnamon pretzels I was skeptic of at first just because I'm not the sort of person that loves savory and sweet at once but they were pretty good. We come here almost every Tuesday after 5pm for dinner - they have a 99 cent BURGER night - it comes with lettuce tomato onion pickle and a bun for 99 cents! You can add cheese or other toppings for a small cost. Tonight my burger was cooked wrong BUT the manager came right over to me to apologize and told me it would be out in just a few minutes and it literally came out cooked perfect maybe 1 minute later - the manager was so friendly and professional! My husband had the Mahi mahi tacos on Saturday night and LOVED them! My son always gets the fish and chips kids meal. Also - you MUST try the sweet potato tots! We were just here T this restaurant and a group of unruly children and I say that very loosely and their parents came in drinking and being obnoxious and loud disrupting the whole restaurant when we said something to the management we were asked to leave the establishment allowing this group of wild Indians and their unruly parents to run over the management of the restaurant this is uncalled for I will be messaging the owner of this establishment as soon as I can it's a real shame that parents allow their children to act the way they did tonight everybody who is eating their dinner before they even showed up had a terrible time I think the owner needs to sit down with their staff and talk about what happened and I hope one of the parents reads this message and understand how shameful they allow their children's to act. Then we ordered our food which took another 35 minutes. Overall they took forever when they weren't even crowded and just plain rude. Plus the food was mediocre as best and not worth the price! My husband and I were so looking forward to going back to this restaurant the coconut shrimp is awesome and the servers are usually on point. After weeks of trying to get a day off we made it back last Tuesday at 4:00 looking forward to a few cold beers and shrimp with a great view of the water. Sat down right away only two other tables so it was not busy at all. Our server came over gave us our menu and said she would be right back. She came back out and brought drinks to the table right next to us. Ignored us and went back inside. Then she came out to the other table. And again she never even asked for our drink order. Well after 15 min of this we got up and left as we were already out in the parking lot . And she yells BYE HAVE A GOOD ONE!! Seriously?
