I didn't intend to eat here; Mekong Delta around the corner is closed. And I know nothing about Peruvian food. Worse, I obviously showed up without a reservation at 6pm. While there was only one table filled, they were booked at 6:45. She graciously allowed me to sit on the promise I would be quick. I was lucky; don't try this yourself, make a reservation. So to help out, I only ordered an appetizer dope Ceviche Classico, made with Chilean Sea Bass. Fantastic! For $16 I received a good amount of fish, but I thought they skimped on the sweet potato. The flavors were perfectly balanced among the fish, red onions, dried corn, etc. So I went for dessert, too. Peruvian flan made from organic red quinoa with a pisco Italian (brandy syrup) and, a garnish of sliced strawberry, and a chocolate cappaccino wafer. Heaven. read more

I've been around Peruvian food for over 20 years and this is as good as it gets in the States. Best Peruvian food in the Baltimore area by far. Portions were perfect, chef was friendly, presentation was 5 star, service was very good. My only suggestion to improve the ambiance would be to play traditional Peruvian music instead of soft jazz. I had the chupe for an appetizer. Loved the flavor of the broth. Then had spaghetti huancaina for my entree. It was outstanding and creative, loved the flavor of the lomo juice that collected around the outside. The only thing I would change for next time is to have them add some ají amarillo to the huancaina sauce to add some heat. My wife had ají de gallina which was excellent as well. I had the opportunity to visit this small restaurant in space but high in quality this week and I was pleasantly surprised. Open Tuesday to Sunday for dinner and Friday to Sunday for lunch. Reservations are required since there are maximum 10 tables for two. The Ceviche and Yucca Fritters together with Lomo Saltado and the Spaghetti Huancaina were fantastic. Finally a delicious Quinoa Flan. No wines are offered yet one can take them and pay a symbolic amount for corkage. The service and the sympathy of owners Connie and chef Jose are impeccable. Grate food i describe it as an exquisite taste, I'm not from Peru but I like the food and this place has it. I ate the ceviche and loved it , I also tried the Lomo Saltado it was "on the money" and at the end we were complemented by the chef with a Flan and quinoa it was delicious. Before the quarantine, I came here and this restaurant is great. Personalized service and authentic cuisine from Peru. This is the spot if you want an intimate evening out. I had lomo saltado and chaufa de mariscos with my girlfriend, and both were excellent. There's nothing quite like it in Baltimore and it's a budget-friendly restaurant. This place was really a home run. Nice seating inside and wonderful decor. Pleasant ambiance. The staff were friendy and helpful when we were trying to order food we want to try. I love trying Peruvian restaurants in the MD area. This spot is a must... I haven't had a meal like this in years. The "causa rellena" and "tiradito" were amazing, and the "arroz con mariscos" was beyond compare (loved the "rocoto" sauce that came with the entree). Now I have actually been to Peru, tasted & eaten genuine peruvian food and I can say that this place is the best in the United States, at least in the Baltimore area lol. My date and I made reservations because I had heard how busy this place gets and true to form it was. Its a small intimate setting with only a few tables but still very big on flavor. This Peruvian restaurant is really as good as it gets! The food is amazing the service even better. It's affordable and delicious! My favorites are lomo saltado and anticuchos. Very good experience. Don't let the outside full you, the inside is charming and perfectly tiny. There are only about 18 seats. I have no idea how we snagged a table for 6 in that tiny little space about 3 hours before we arrived; we give Janet all the reservation power from here on out. read more
