Great bar Banter from Hailey et Al. Good music, excellent happy hour special. As always I sat at the bar, and received Best Service. Food, especially the Green Chili Fries, were heavenly and during Happy hour -$3 off the normally outrageous price!

Good spot, in the heart of Dillion. The burgers are massive, wings are solid and nice beer selection.

    Burnt steak sub

My husband and I decided to do takeout from pugs. We are locals-live here. I got a steak sub with beer cheese & salad. Salad is ok, but the steak sub is so overcooked it's actually burnt. Husband said they weren't busy so there's no excuse. The beer cheese has the consistency of water. Horrible! I work at a restaurant and I can't imagine my place sending food out like this. Will not eat at pugs again. Had the same thing last time too. Thought I'd give it another chance and I got burned again.

We have been coming to Keystone for over 20 years and Pug Ryan's has always been a staple. Today, very disappointing. Very very rundown there were 2 to 4 patrons in the restaurant. Normally the outside is flooding with people and dogs. The grass was dead. The wood deck was chipped. The lady at the entrance did not smile or welcome us, gave us a nasty look, did not say hi, or, have a good day or anything. I will never go back.

    Meatball sub. $20.

Mind you this is not a full review of coming in and enjoying dinner. I simply picked up a meatball sub to go and brought it back to my hotel room to eat. The sandwich pictured looks far better than it actually was. Meatballs were overcooked, and the flavor bland. For a $20 price tag your better off heading to the Subway sandwich shop for much higher quality at half the price. This place seems more like a local watering hole then catering to the tourist. Like I said, this was an in and out kind of experience. Should have gone to Scrappy's next door to my hotel.

    Pug Ryan's Dunkel beer!

If memory serves I was at Pug Ryans many years ago but getting an updated experience of their beer I felt was necessary. For Pug Ryans Steve and I both had their version of the Dunkel beer. Not a bad dark lager at all. Flavorful and fun to drink my first impression also says that this is a very popular beer with customers!

Cool vibe! Parking was easy, friendly hostess. We got the Sheppard's Pie and it was perfect for a cool day.

We used to love Pug Ryan's, but feel like the quality has drastically gone down the last 10 years. But the staff is always super nice!!

If I could separately rate the food, I would give it a 0. It is objectively atrocious and had our server (Will) not been so sweet, I would have sent the food back. The food came out within 3 minutes of our order, so we knew it was microwaved. The garlic noodles were bitter and had an offer flavor and we barely ate them. The chicken plate was the smallest piece of dry, overcooked chicken breast, wayyyy too much rice, 2 sad and dry rings of pineapple (honestly, out of the can would have been way better), and an undressed slaw. it was $23 and even at $15, it would still have been overpriced. The spam musubi was decent but honestly, I can't imagine how you could mess it up. We may come back for the drinks but we absolutely will not order any food.

And yes, some of them are literally on fire, which feels appropriate given the name. Also, I don't know who was in charge of the decor, but they clearly weren't afraid to commit to a theme. I'll just say there are some very noticeable decorative choices throughout the space that gave our table plenty to laugh about. If you're looking for a standard cocktail bar, this isn't it. Both my girlfriend and I asked him multiple times to stop, but he continued anyway. After it became clear that he wasn't going to respect our boundaries, I raised my voice (not yelling, just firm) and asked that he stop serving us and that another bartender take over due to his aggressive and inappropriate sexual behavior. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, he immediately told both of us to leave the bar. This was an incredibly uncomfortable situation to deal with, especially on New Year's Eve, and it left us feeling embarrassed and disrespected. The first thing my girlfriend said to me the next morning was how uncomfortable that bartender had made her feel, which says a lot. I truly wish we had never gone to this bar. No one should feel pressured, sexualized, or thrown out for speaking up when their boundaries are repeatedly ignored.

Uh, yes please! They have their own parking lot. We were welcomed in and seated as we had our reservations. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. The bar is located inside the pirate ship! We all came dressed in our tropical attire. The drink menu is fun and our server, Chase was the best! He gave us great recommendations and made the evening fun. We ordered the Pu Pu Platter for the table to share and then my husband and I split an order of the crab cakes. The platter had feta wontons, chicken wings (I'll come back to those), fried calamari, Spam musubi, red curry cheese tots, edamame, mac salad and seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was a new taste for me. I liked the dressing and overall it was tasty. The mac salad was traditional island mac. Good stuff. Edamame is not normally my fav, but this was seasoned well. Red curry cheese tots, yum!! The Spam musubi had a dipping sauce and together that was a tasty snack. The fried calamari, was crispy outside, not greasy and tender inside. Well done! The feta wontons were a fun combo of crispy wonton, cucumber and a creamy feta spread. Now, the chicken wings. They are not on the menu as something you can order on its own. I wish they were, as we would have ordered more! They come with a gochujang-teriyaki glaze topped with sesame seeds and scallion. Absolutely the best thing on the platter! Our crab cakes were made from Pacific Rock crab and accompanied by fresh avocado on a bed of smoked tomato pureé garnished with mango salsa. A perfect bite. I do need to talk about the drinks. My husband had a Zombie, Flor de Caña 4 year Oro rum, Planteray OFTD rum, cinnamon syrup, grapefruit, fassionola, lime and a dash of Leopold Brothers absinthe. He loved it! I asked Chase for a recommendation and he said his fav was the Three Dots and a Dash. I went with that. This drink had Dry Land Distillers aged cane rum, Planteray original dark rum, falernum, allspice dram, honey syrup, fresh lime, orange and Angostura bitters. I sipped and savored that for the evening. What a fun experience. I will definitely be coming back.

There was no chili, no pork, nothing -- just basic mac and cheese that tasted like it came straight out of a box. My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing.
