Responses to my emails and messages were slow, and I had to follow up multiple times just to get updates. After waiting, I was finally informed that the installation would not take place until nearly 5 month later, something that was never disclosed during the quoting process. Had I been told upfront that the lead time was several months, I would have considered other companies. The lack of timely communication and transparency wasted my time and made planning my project unnecessarily difficult. I wanted to share my experience to help others. On 6/2/2025 I purchased 3 glass french doors and 1 glass single door of the Milgard brand. Owen Sokso was the representative I worked with at Puget Sound Window and Door. I picked out the doors I wanted and Owen came to my house and took measurements for the size of doors I needed. He then provided me a document containing the model, color, dimensions of the doors to be ordered. I signed this document and paid a total of $15,911.56 upfront in cash. The document required my signature for each door being ordered, noting the accuracy of the door being ordered. Well when the doors arrived I had one door that was 4 inches too short, the others were fine. Well shame on me for not double checking Owen's measurements; I am 74 years old and at my age I trusted the professional to take accurate measurements. My eyes are not the greatest anymore, and this is what this gentleman does for a living. Later when I spoke with Owen to see how we could correct the issue. He said that I would have to order another door and that he would give me a 20% discount. These doors aren't cheap! They would not exchange the door to make it right, and would not give me a refund for the too short door. They already had my money at this point and advised that I had signed the document for the order of the too short door. So as a warning to others when doing business with this company, make sure you do your own measuring after you receive the order document (don't trust these professionals to get it right). Second, consider paying with a credit card instead of cash, at least you have a bit of insurance knowing you can dispute a charge. And finally, just know that this is how I was treated when an accident happened, that began with their mistake. People can do better... Here's me with my quality too short door. Do not get taken advantage of by this company. They charge over inflated prices to install doors. 2 milgard door at the price of @ 6000.00 dollars will cost you @ 10000.00 dollars to install. So I purchased them through arrow lumber and found a decent contractor to install them for 100.00 dollars per hour. Which took 12 hours. So you do the math. He did a wonderful job and I tipped him an extra 500.00 just because he didn't take advantage of me and was just a person making a living not ripping off older people. And two other well known companies were around the same outrageous prices. read more

This morning, Monday, I received an email from Owen, informing me that the order was submitted to Marvin, a production date had been determined, and the date for my installation had been set. February 12th I found them on Google maps and checking out their website seen their installers are actual employees and not contractors. This means something to me so even though they were not the best price I decided to go with them. They wanted me to take measurements and I did that while on the phone with them and giving a description as they are kinda fancy. February 14th They got back to me and stated the total to replace it was going to be $986. They then requested 50% upfront so I paid over the phone $538.85. I asked if I could get an invoice so we had something in writing and was told they would send one. I did receive and automated email when they ran my credit card but no invoice. The next step was to schedule their people to look at the window and do final measurement. February 17th I was put on the schedule to have them come out and double check the measurements before they order the replacement. Two men showed up and it was then determined that there was a film on it and the coating that would go on the replacement may not match the other so after consideration we decided to replace both to make sure they match. We were told they would be in touch shortly after they figure out the price to now replace both. February 20th I got a call stating they found someone to make it and the updated price of $1850 plus tax. (It was confusing that how did they know what they were going to charge us on Feb 14th but today they just "found someone who could make it". But anyways we were then told that when it comes in they would be in touch. Again I asked if I could get an invoice or something in writing. I did not receive anything. February 27th. I got a call stating they will get them in and expect a call on March 13th to schedule an install. March 16th (not 13th) got a call. They are in and had an opening tomorrow the 17th at 7AM and would like to install. We agreed and I'm pretty sure I asked again for an invoice on this call but cannot say 100%. March 17th Got a call as the installers did not have our full address? I verified our address. Installers showed up and were courteous. It took them 1.5 hours to remove the old glass and install the new. My only issue with them was, and maybe its an industry thing, they didn't clean with windows... So when they removed all the packing stuff each of these large new windows and a square that was clean because of the film they removed but then dirty all around the edges. Then my wife said there was cardboard or something stuck to the outside. I went out and after 20 minutes with small picks got a 1"X1" clay/or some other materiel dug out of behind the weatherstripping. It was a pain in the you know what because I didn't want to damage it. Jump to March 31st. The two men that came out on Feb 17th knocked on our door at 2PM and and envelope and stated "we have a balance you forgot to", I then interrupted him and stated, that would be the first time we ever got anything in writing from you. I then explained everything above and they checked out the windows and I showed them where I had to remove that stuff. They left telling me to call in to pay the balance and I told them no problem. I then noticed that there was a missed call on our home phone at 9:20AM today stating the outstanding balance. So I called the office back and payed the balance $1483.20 over the phone. I explained to her that we have never received an Invoice and she stated the installers were to have left one. After hearing that it then explains why they didn't have an address, they didn't have the invoice as it's printed nice and large on there. Kind of a different experience we had. Their where at least 2 other companies that had caught my eye, but after reviewing the products they offered Provia and Milgard we decided to have the work done by Rick and their exceptional crew Not to bore with you a long post, all said and done...job was estimated fairly, Completed on Time, every critical path was explained to me and communicated as well, Clean up was A+, quality of product was exceptional, Installation knowledge was great as well. Would I use them again. I ordered a mirror and 1/2" shower panel from one of the owners, Rick. He pawned the order off to one of his salespeople (Troy) who was very incompetent. It seemed like it was his first time placing an order. He never asked me for the trim color, so when the order was placed, it was placed with chrome. At first I didn't know there was an option, but when it came and the trim was chrome and all the other trim in my bathroom is Matte black, it didn't match. I called the owner again and asked for the correct color. The owner actually told me I was a pain in his ass and that it cost him $80 to get the correct color for a product that I didn't even order...which is wrong as I have documentation proving otherwise. Long story short...I will never work with him again or his company. If you work with them, you are a fool. You will pay enormously marked-up prices with the worst customer service ever. I am a general contractor and will spread this around to everyone I come in contact with. read more

After 4 years living in a house with fogged windows, I decided to fix the issue. I called 4 companies to come out and give me an estimate and these guys were by far the best. No excessive sales pitch, just good advice and a reasonable price. All communication and contract signing was very timely, and from first contact to installation was less than a month. I replaced 16 sections of glass on 10 windows and they all look great! They were respectful of my house and cleaned up before they left. This company may be fine to work with assuming nothing goes wrong. But if it something does go wrong, they will not take ownership for their products. They knowingly installed a defective window in my home and the owner Rick told me in an email, "The product workmanship is a Milgard issue. We have performed our obligation and I expect full payment promptly." Spoke to the company on the day of installation when the problem came to my attention and they said they'd contact Milgard for me and request service. Agreed to pay the majority of the balance even though I was skeptical they'd be motivated to fix the window if I paid the balance in full. I paid ~90% of what was owed leaving $250 due. Waited nearly two weeks, heard nothing. Holly had forgotten to place a service request. When I alerted her she didn't understand why I was upset and challenged me that the window did work and simply wouldn't latch. I asked her to call her installers and confirm the defect herself if she didn't believe me. She said the installers were too busy, that she would come out and see for herself. If the window doesn't latch that is still a problem as well. After they finally scheduled service Milgard to come out, it was adjusted but then jammed again the next day. I called Holly and she said that aluminum windows are difficult to open and close - meaning the problem is me. My window is still not fully functional but the owner contacted me to demand payment for the remaining $250 on my account. I figured they would want to make sure the window was fixed before chasing me down for the balance, but clearly they don't hold themselves accountable in any way. It has been an enormous inconvenience to schedule multiple additional visits from service technicians and they company could care less for the inconvenience they've caused by 1) installing a defective product and 2) neglecting to request service for the defective product. They firmly stand by the policy that once the window is in, it is not their problem. Lastly, they did not deliver or install the screens on the installation day. I had to buy additional parts and have someone else install them. Holly was supposed to deliver them one day, didn't show up, then came a different day at a different time. The newly printed contract presented to me in the office was twice more than the one e-mailed to me earlier by Holly. I made the mistake of trusting them and signed it and wrote the check. After finding this later, their response was that I signed the order. read more

After a bumpy start, which was similar to the experiences of other reviewers (calls not returned in a timely manner), I was very pleased with the service and results from Puget Sound Window. I replaced two Milgard windows with privacy glass. The price was lower than a bid from another company, Intermountain Glass, and came without the judgmental attitude of the estimator. Mike Matz, who gave the PS Window bid and was involved in the installation, gave us good advice. He came with samples, and knowledge of how much the glass would obscure, and what it would look like from the outside. My only suggestion for the company would be to address the process phone calls are responded to. (This is not about the woman who answered the phone. My call was handed off to a sales person who got involved with a walk-in customer, left me hanging on hold and then forgot to call me back.) A little more follow through would go a long ways. read more

This has been the single worst experience I've had working with a servicer, I would caution any potential client to look carefully for other options. There are so many good window and door installers, don't risk working with Puget Sound Window & Door. In short, they provided a quote for window installation, and were paid in full up front (big mistake!). They then didn't show up for months, and came back asking for more money above their initial quote. They were told there was a full quote and were paid in full, and needed to do the service or provide a refund. They waited several more months, and finally came out to do the work. After 6 months, I find out they put a construction lien on my house claiming they are owed more money. Rick and his team use threats and bullying to suck as much money out of their clients as possible. They don't honor their quotes for service, and take months and months to do work once they are paid. Look around on Yelp, there are so many other quality providers, don't waste your time with PSG&W. And if you go with them, protect yourself. read more

I never had to replace windows before so I had a lot of research to do before making a decision on which company to use. It was very confusing until I met Leslie from Puget Sound Window and Door. She explained the process, what to expect from beginning to end, the product, made recommendations that made sense for our situation vs. just trying to make the most money possible and it all matched up with our experience once we started. For me, I needed to be able to trust someone would be watching over the project and making sure it went smoothly and as it was described to me. Leslie did all that and more (even made cookies for us and the crew...nice touch!) Leslie was the reason we went with PSW&D. They were competitive in price and said they would match any other quote which also made me feel comfortable in choosing them. We had one window w/ significant water damage. We were not looking forward to knowing how bad it was and how much extra that might cost. Turned out, they did the work and only charged us an extra $85 and that was communicated up front to make sure we were ok w/ that extra cost. We were thrilled that it was only $85. I truly believe other companies would have charged us closer to $300 for the work but Guy (the construction leader) was professional...a craftsman...and all around good guy (no pun intended). Guy and his crew were polite, courteous, great quality work, no surprises, and finished on time (with all items wrapped up perfectly). I've already given their names to a GC i met recently who was excited to have a referral of a window installation company (Puget Sound Window and Door), sales person (Leslie) , and construction leader (Guy)/crew that were highly recommended by a totally unbiased 3rd party and will most likely use them in the future himself. So if you're like us...never done this before...save some time...call Leslie at PSW&D and you'll see exactly what I mean. I chose PSW&D because of Leslie and I would recommend them to anyone because of Leslie and Guy! Thank you for making the process so easy for us newbies. Had 5 large picture windows and frames replaced. One window was bad when installed. Installers did very nice work on one window... but hacked up and even broke siding on other 4 windows. Also, left gaps in caulking around new windows. Project manager came to review problems. New window was ordered but not yet replaced. Project Manager told me he would talk to owner about installation damage. (He assured me before signing up for the windows, there would be nothing beyond painting the new installed primed trim.) I have heard nothing from the company for weeks now. I must now hire a contractor to come and replace/repair siding before any painting can be done. read more

We called Milgard for a reference regarding getting a new sliding patio door. Milgard suggested PSW&D. We received a quote over the phone from PSW&D, and then a representative came out to take measurements to price door / labor. Two days later we were contacted by another employee, who independently gave us the same quote as we had received by phone. We thought "great", agreed to the terms, gave our credit card for the deposit and thought all was well. Three hours later we received a call that the price was being bumped from $1050.00 to $1550.00!! Exceptionally poor explanation and customer service. We wasted a week on this company and now have to start over. We wouldn't look at the whole thing with as negatively if ONE employee had quoted us the price. But when two employees (including a salesman) provide the same information and it gets changed at the 11th hour, it looks more like price gouging than an error. read more
