Little kitchen, small dining area and back door with a patio table surrounded by beautiful redwoods! The pictures online do this cute little place no favors!!!! Would definitely stay here again (all while I haven't actually slept here yet ) we also walked down to Martha's Kitchen and not only was the food DELICIOUS the waitress was also so sweet and attentive! We might have just found the sweetest little place to land while we're here for a wedding. ****edit to add after sleeping there 2 nights, the main road is semi close so obviously you'll hear some car sounds. Mostly in the early morning. They do provide ear plugs I didn't use them and after the first night it didn't really bother me much. As do be expected with that main road there. The TMH team handled every detail with such calm professionalism that I was able to relax and truly enjoy the experience. From the very beginning, we were impressed. Our virtual tour with Rachel made us fall in love with the venue; Kevin and Karen worked with us to make our budget work, Joe gave us a wonderful tour when we returned after booking; and Ashleigh patiently answered all of my questions--no matter how late I sent them. The venue itself feels like something out of a storybook. Every one of our guests raved about the beautiful setting, the accommodations, the incredible staff, the ceremony site, and even the fact that there wasn't a restrictive noise ordinance. Everything exceeded our expectations. Not a day has gone by since our wedding that I haven't said, "I wish I could do it all over again." Choosing Twenty Mile House was one of the best decisions we made, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

The DJ dropped beats, The steak dropped us, One minute we're dancing, Next minute it's "WHO HAS THE TUMS???" The wedding cake was innocent, The salad was chill, But that steak came in swinging Like it had a personal beef with the whole grill. Seventy people. SEVENTY. Out of NINETY. That's not dinner. That's a coordinated event. Grandma was vibing, Uncle was dancing, Cousin was taking pictures, Then suddenly everyone's stomach started ADVANCING. The best man gave a speech: "May you two have a lifetime of happiness." The steak gave a speech: "May you have a lifetime of REGRET." Bro got married Bro got food poisoning Bro got both in the same day. The honeymoon destination? The bathroom. The wedding hashtag? #TilDeathDoUsFart The photographer captured every moment-- the first kiss, the first dance, the bouquet toss, and approximately 70 people questioning the structural integrity of their digestive systems. The steak was medium rare. The guests were medium AWARE. The bride threw the bouquet. Nobody caught it. Everyone was too busy trying to survive. 90 guests entered. 70 were defeated. 20 remained standing, looking around like survivors at the end of a Netflix apocalypse series. The steak wasn't a meal. It was a boss fight. And somehow, we all lost. Would attend again for the lore. Would NOT attend again hungry. 0/10 intestinal experience. RIP to the 70. Gone but not forgotten. Mostly forgotten because everyone is still traumatized by the steak. Bro I went to this wedding expecting romance, happiness, and maybe a little steak, but apparently the steak had other plans 70 OUT OF 90 PEOPLE got absolutely folded by that steak. The bride said "I do," the groom said "I do," and 30 minutes later the entire wedding party was saying "I need to go" . The DJ was playing music, the cake was getting cut, and meanwhile 70 people were fighting for their lives like it was a Fortnite endgame. That steak wasn't medium rare, it was medium dangerous. The best man gave a speech about everlasting love while half the guests were contemplating everlasting regret. Bro turned a wedding into a 70-player gastrointestinal tournament. 90 people walked in, 70 got eliminated, and the remaining 20 were looking at the steak like it was a federal investigation. The staff was amazing, from the venue tour to booking, helping with any and everything the day of and just all around amazing people that work there. They cooked breakfast for our whole crew both mornings and there was not one complaint from any of our guests. Lots of drink options which I love, they have coffee, orange juice, a huge variety of tea, milk, something for everybody. The day went on without one issue, I am very type A and their response time was amazing throughout the whole process and especially on day of! I can't recommend this place enough. We also went back and stayed the night on our one year anniversary and it was covered in snow, absolutely beautiful! We were sad that Faith, the manager, wasn't there as I feel like we really connected with her last year but Michele was there who was also very kind snd accommodating.

Lucky for us we hit the jack pot and definitely realized after driving by all the other resorts, cabins, and inns that we ended up in the best one. Of all the other places you could tell these cabins had the best views and though close to each other still felt secluded. You have a full view of the meadow and mountains, not just the highway or another property across the road; we even saw a bunch of deer including a big buck! The whole property is also well past a golf corse so you really are tucked away. They are very dog friendly with lots of poop bags and trash cans as well a bag of treats at check in, they even will walk your dog if asked! They have free breakfast and unlike a many places it's not buffet style, they seat you and serve it up just like a typical restaurant breakfast but I wouldn't have minded a bit more variety. We can't wait to come back and stay in another cabin next time, maybe deeper in fall or even after a bit of snow; you can tell this property is breath taking any time of year.

Walking into the house, my girlfriend and I were transported into what felt like snow white's wonderland cabin. The teacups on the ceiling, the wood slab table with pie plates, the velvet couches... there are cozy little details everywhere; the more we looked, the more we were amazed. We were greeted by Priya, the owner of Flume's End who is a one-woman show. Her energy was contagious and I immediately felt at home. She showed us to our room, the Empire Suite, which has a huge bed, a gorgeous bathroom, and its own outside patio balcony. This is an all inclusive experience. Priya likes to leave out cookies for guests as "midnight snacks," and there's hot cocoa and coffee available all day! I can't say enough about the breakfast, which had everything you could ask for. Can we talk about the little parfait cups?!? And the mini egg dishes? I was living in tea party heaven. You can't beat staying at Flume's End. It's a 5 minute walk into downtown, and the backyard is a fairy forest that you can wander around and enjoy day & night. We'll be back!

The property is listed as a B&B on several platforms, the website features breakfast imagery, and the booking form asks for dietary restrictions, so we reasonably assumed breakfast and access to common areas were part of the experience. Instead, Room 2 functions more like a small private room rental with limited access to the house. We were surprised to learn upon arrival that we did not have access to the main house common areas. For us, shared spaces are a major part of what makes staying in a bed and breakfast enjoyable. The room itself was also extremely small. With a queen bed and a twin bed in the room, there was essentially no space to move around comfortably and no seating area at all. For three guests, there was nowhere to sit except on the beds, and simply walking around the room was difficult due to the tight layout. Breakfast was also not served. Two muffins were left for us despite the reservation being for three guests, and despite the booking form asking for dietary restrictions. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years throughout California--both coastal and wine country--and the experiences we've loved have always included warm hospitality, welcoming hosts, shared spaces to relax in, and memorable breakfasts. The common thread in these stays is that guests are encouraged to enjoy the home itself, interact with hosts, and relax in shared spaces. That sense of hospitality and atmosphere is the reason we choose B&Bs. While the building at The Parsonage is historic, Room 2 itself felt very modern and generic rather than reflecting the character of a historic inn. To be fair, the owners later pointed out that the website includes a detailed description and a floor plan showing the limited access for Room 2. However, we found the wording easy to misinterpret when booking, particularly given the B&B categorization, breakfast imagery on the site, and the dietary restriction field in the booking form. At approximately $280 for the night (including a $50 fee for a third guest), the experience did not match what we personally expect from a bed-and-breakfast stay. This room may work fine for travelers who simply want a small private room and plan to spend most of their time out in town. However, for guests specifically seeking the hospitality, shared spaces, and atmosphere that typically define a bed-and-breakfast experience, Room 2 may not meet those expectations.
