I hosted my sons birthday party there almost 4 weeks ago. It started off okay but went down hill from there. Our party room staff was unhelpful and seemed like he did not know what he was suppose to do. We were also brought into the pizza room almost 30 minutes late after waiting in the lobby area for them to set up the room. Parents ended up serving pizza and moving the party along because staff was frequently missing. I was then overcharged for additional kids that we did not have. The most difficult part had been getting in touch with management to take care of the over charge. I have emailed several times and called and left message. The staff was very helpful and definitely help keep the party moving from helping move shoes the the other bounce house rooms, helping remove trash from the party room, and helping the party host. There are games people can pay for in the different bouncer rooms however many were out of order. The drink vending machines had limited selections. Pump it up does more than just birthday parties on their website they offer drop in play times at a reasonable price. Very unclean. Nothing appeared to be cleaned in quite some time. The floors looked disgusting and when we left my kids socks were black! Dust everywhere! When we went to use the restroom the toilet had mold growing inside it. They had posters stating they used Clorox but it's highly unlikely. This place is amazing, they cap the open play time to 20 or 25 kids, my children and their friends love coming here, the staff is mostly younger adults but all very attentive and in my opinion very respectful, lots of yes mam, thank you mam. Very impressive. We had my sons 5th birthday party there and you show up, they lend you a trolley, you place everything you brought and bring it in, they take it from there and decorate the room, set up the food and have an attendant in the room in case you need anything, I would 1,000% recommend this place to anyone. We love it and only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the bubble machine being Brocken and one of the toys in the first room not having any of the small balls for the kids to play, besides that, it was perfection for a kids place read more

The idea of this place is great- the execution, not so much. We had a birthday party here, which includes jump time in two different bounce arenas. The first one was fine, although they don't sanitize the surfaces between parties and the floors could use a shampoo. The second arena was so hot. There was a switch for fans on the wall, which fell into the wall when I tried to switch it on. The party room was also hot, and the fan didn't work in there either. Maintenance is clearly an afterthought. None of the vending machines worked in the arenas, nor did the restroom in the first arena. Everything was dilapidated and dirty. When we got to the party room, they had set it up with the decorations that we brought. This included plates, which somehow already had pizza sauce on them. When we went to leave, the party host said I could come up front to pay my bill, and when I did they threw away the entire rest of the cake and two entire untouched pizzas away, both of which we had asked to take with us. I'm very disappointed in our experience here and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Just had a party there today and it was the WORST experience ever. The entire experience from the beginning of planning and final execution. They give you the perception that it's going to be such a great "Grand" experience and it's such a PRIVATE" experience. You receive information from multiple team members and none of it is correct. You're start times are not your start time, then you're rushed through the process, like herding cattle/ I had the staff to personally call the manager to voice my complaint and once again, the same old rehearsed untruths. I informed them I was dissatisfied and this was unacceptable. The manager and "General" manager came to the place. The manager made a poor attempt to discuss the concerns. The General manager came and was rude, disrespectful, and accusative. Had we been the only ones at the event location "Today" complaining I'd chalk it up as our misunderstanding. But let me tell you there were 3 other people highly upset and dissatisfied, leaving paying a hefty bill for low grade amnesties and service from the leadership staff!! Never again and I pray no one waste their hard earned money at this establishment. The parking is small, and the business is kind of hard to find, but it's the last in the plaza. Once inside it's so kid friendly with picture opportunities and you can see the rooms they have for birthday celebrations. They have 2 big rooms filled with different style jumping courses. You go to one room for a bit, then move to the 2nd room for the 2nd half. By the end of this, your kid should definitely be exhausted!! We had a great time and will definitely go back!!! read more

Please trust your gut and do NOT book a party here. I'm a very laid-back person and had attended a wonderful party at Pump it up tampa before moving here. I assumed since they are a franchise that my experience would be similar but it was terrible. I shouldn't have ignored the early red flags: multiple phone calls and voicemails were left unanswered, as well as the many negative reviews regarding management and cleanliness. I thought booking the party here would take the pressure off myself and my husband to "run the party" but boy were we wrong. We arrived at our party early and could already tell the place was filthy. We weren't greeted or given any direction regarding where to wait for our guests. They played a safety video from 1985 that no one could hear, then directed us into the first play room. I never saw any staff members present but my husband says he spotted one in a corner on her phone for the entire 30 minutes. We then were corralled into the second room which was just as disgusting as the first. There was definitely no cleaning, the floor blocks that were originally blue were black from dirt. There was still zero interaction from the staff. We had some smaller toddlers in our party who found and tried to eat balloon fragments that were left all over the ground-- a big choking hazard. I assumed upon moving to the "party room" that someone would be responsible for serving the pizza, distributing the cake, and running the piñata but boy was I wrong. A teenage boy stood in the corner for almost the entirety of our party time. After realizing we wouldn't be receiving any direction or help my husband gave out the pizza and cake. We purchased the accompanied 2 liters of soda and they failed to inform us they were "out of cups" until the children were asking for soda, so no one could drink. A child vomited all over the floor toward the end of our party and the worker tried to wipe it up with his bare hands and some paper towels. At this point I was infuriated and went to the front desk where 4 workers stared at me and shrugged saying "he was cleaning it up". I went back to the room and turned on the lights so we could clean the vomit properly. It became clear that they keep the lights off so you can't see how disgusting the rooms are. I tried to address my concerns with the management on staff and owner, but was ultimately laughed at and dismissed. The owner returned my calls and laughed when I told her I thought I should receive a partial refund. She said their "system couldn't process refunds" which is obviously a lie. Please please please don't ignore the bad reviews- this place is a trap and cesspool. read more

A great place for kids! My kid loves coming here. From the moment kids arrive the place is transformed into a high energy atmosphere that kids love. Music bubbles and bounce houses and slides are in each room. Pump it up isn't cheap though. They do not let you bring in your own food or drink - you have to buy it as part of a package. A 2 hour birthday party will cost you north of $340 and you are hustled from room to room as other parties are waiting for the space you are vacating. I mean - it's a genius business that costs a lot. While the kids are playing they take pictures and sell them to the parents. Apart from the obvious avariciousness of the whole thing..... kids love it. I don't think it is really a good value for what you get BUT they are professional and if you have the dough, your kid will have a kickass birthday party. I am taking one star off a five star review because of the value component - otherwise it's a winner. read more

This place is great for the kids but the staff does not enforce any of the safety rules and several kids are here right now as we speak without socks...that grosses me out. When I said to a staff member, "so we dont enforce the NO SOCKS NO PLAY rule?" She just shrugged her shoulders at me. What is up with that? We will be sure to take showers when we leave. Parents dont supervise and staff doesnt help with ANYTHING!! Well after complaining about the socks issue to another staff, she said she would tell management and came back with the first lady who shrugged at me. We have been a patrons of pump it up for about 6 years and have never had a bad experience. We have attended numerous open bounce sessions and a few birthday parties, both of which have never disappointed. On our most recent visit, we attended a glow in the dark birthday party and it was a blast! The jump rooms were set up with black lights, music, and they gave the kiddos glow necklaces. It honestly left me thinking that they really should let adults have their birthday parties at pump it up. They have two rooms set up with multiple bouncys including slides, basketball hoops, an obstacle course, a jousting jumpy, a flying balloon room, and a dodgeball arena. The only downside I see to pump it up is that the entrance area is stocked with candy and junk toys that lures the children like ants to a picnic. Overall, if you are a mommy who needs a break and wants your kiddos to sleep like babies since they have jumped all of their energy out, I would definitely recommend loading up the kids and taking them to pump it up. The day I was supposed to have the party they charged my credit card $400 after I already paid a non refundable $100 reservation fee. When I called they tried to tell me that I canceled the party THE DAY BEFORE! I called and canceled a week before so obviously that is NOT TRUE! Every time I speak to someone they tell me that they will call me back but I never get a call back. Supposedly the owner said that there is no way to refund the money but they can give me a certificate for future use. No way to refund money to a credit card? Lol! Also no music was playing , atmosphere was completely uninviting and could tell they put minimal effort into opening today. This place is hit or miss... but it's not their fault... it's more hit or miss depending on how many crazy kids are there and how old they are... and of course whether the parents have taught their children courtesy. :o) The facility is VERY CLEAN. I was there just this past Friday afternoon. There were a whooping 4 other kids there. It was like we had rented the place out for ourselves. The entire time we were there the staff was diligently cleaning various areas of the place. And from the looks of the place, nothing is missed. I've attended birthday parties here and have mostly positive experiences with them. I think the "glow parties" (turn off the lights and everyone is wearing a glow necklace) are a little weird and should be done with great caution (just not age appropriate for some and could get dicey with older kids)... I noticed that they have expanded their food choices for parties (which is a good). My only caution for you is if you have younger children. Try to figure out when their "off" hours are. During peak hours, since it's all children up to 12 years old, the bigger kids are intermingled with the little ones. From my experience the bigger kids don't necessarily look out for the smaller ones. At least a few times my son has come slid down from the slide and the next child piles down immediately after instead of waiting for the younger kid to get out of the way (as they are supposed to). But like I said earlier, that's more of a parenting issue. I have just learned to follow my little ones around like a hovering parent whenever the older children are there. read more

How much does a 3+ hour nap cost? $8.95! This place is so much fun for the kids! Their facilities are clean and well maintained, and there is PLENTY to do. When I first heard about it, I thought it was going to be just a cheap blow-up bouncing room in a warehouse. It totally exceeded my expectations. They have several big rooms full of different kinds of inflatable activity spots, along with kiddie rides, Foosball, air hockey, and a bunch of other activities for when the kids grow bored with bouncing. My 2 y.o. and I went today at 9:15, and he spent 2+ hours running around laughing, screaming for joy, and bouncing all the way! When we left at 11:30, he was pooped! Barely got lunch into him before he settled in for a good long nap. Parents, if you have been wanting to get some work done in the afternoon, but can't guarantee a good long nap time, drop $8.95 in this joint, and enjoy the feeling of finally having time to get to all those things that you've been meaning to do! read more
