We hosted a birthday party here. The inflatables are quite fun, and the food was actually not bad (though overpriced). However, I'm disappointed in their scheduling and execution. We checked in 10 minutes early for our party scheduled to start at 5:10pm. Around the start time, I realized there were no employees up front anymore. I started to look for someone but nobody was anywhere to be found in public areas. We finally got someone to help us and line up the kids to go in at 5:16pm. Still, at exactly 5:45pm, they started pushing us to move on to the next room. Chatting with the employees, they explained you get 35 minutes in the first room and then move on to a second room for another 35 minutes. I complained that we started 6 minutes late here, so I hope they would provide us extra time in the next room to make up for it. Nonetheless, at 6:15pm, they announced playtime was over, and we had to move on to the food portion. We got under 60 minutes of playtime out of the promised 70 minutes. I get that they need to keep their parties moving along, but if they're going to advertise 70 minutes of playtime, they need to add buffer time between parties to accommodate that. Or state on their site that you don't actually get that much playtime. Also, the guy assisting our party said that they are suppose to take pictures and send a slideshow, but his phone battery was dead? That seems an absurd excuse. The website also says the birthday team helps "entertain kids", but nobody did any such thing. At a few other similar parties I've been to, they break up free play with some employee-led games. Some assist/play with the kids, climbing up play structures and stuff. Our guy pretty much just stood around the whole time. I think they ended up giving us a free balloon bouquet for our complaint about the time issue. In the end, my kid had fun, and that's what matters most, but the experience still left a bit of a sour taste. read more

We hosted our child's birthday party here a week ago. She and her friends had a really good time on the play structures. The two rooms were spacious and clean. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around, jump, slide, climb, and have fun! Afterward, food was served in a private room. The staff attendants, Sam and Sira, were on top of it all and made sure things ran smoothly. My only quibble is the amount of time that was allocated between playing and eating. We had ordered the deluxe package, so our 2-hour party time was evenly split between the two. I think the kids would've enjoyed an extra 15-20 minutes of play time at the expense of the time spent eating. All in all, a well-run facility that offers a fun, engaging time for elementary age kids. read more

We went there last Sunday for my daughter's birthday with many kids. The place looks brand new and the playing area is much bigger comparing to the rest of the other sites in the Bay Area. This was an incredible experience! The ease of booking, the clear policies/procedures, communication from staff prior, the availability to answer questions prior... all of it was awesome. Day of party, it's clear that all staff are working together and they make it appear seamless (I imagine behind the scenes is intricate but everyone is organized!). The staff were friendly to everyone, helpful, we just felt like everything was taken care of so that we all (adults and kids) could enjoy the party. We wanted a celebration that was fun and where we the parents could also enjoy the festivities and this exceeded our expectations. You can bring in food if you have the 9am start time (perfect for our crew of 4+ year olds) and I was super grateful for the set up of everything in the party room by the staff. Again, the staff that helped us was so kind and attentive. They kept things moving, made sure we had what we wanted/needed, and kept a fun and relaxed vibe that made the experience so much fun. As the mom of the birthday girl I felt like I was really able to be present and enjoy because everything was taken care of for us. My only regret was not thanking each person by name before leaving. Five stars for the friendly, professional staff who are kind to my kids and keep the facility clean and functioning. Minus three stars for Pump It Up's failure to adapt with the times. My daughter had a great birthday party here (receipts!). I was looking forward to booking a birthday party for my son next month. But when I found out my child's classmate's family lost their party deposit when they had to reschedule due to COVID exposure (no diagnosis, just an abundance of caution), I was disgusted. Pump It Up should have allowed this family to carry their balance forward to a rescheduled party. Shameful. I will not be booking my son's party with them after all. Buyer beware, and check your contract-- if you can't quarantine your child and their guests before the big birthday, maybe book somewhere with a more updated and flexible policy. And if you *are* attending a party there...? Be aware that Pump It Up has an elbow on the neck of the party planner, to either go forward with their event (no matter what) or lose a chunk of their child's birthday party budget. It's a tough climate for venues losing events due to covid, I get that. But this isn't a winery or a restaurant, it's a few staff members and some bouncy houses. Pump It Up's deposit policy is reprehensible and unethical. It's going to continue to lose them customers I'm sure. read more

We came for Open Play 2 times and won't be coming back again. Inflatables are pretty outdated, they allow playing only in 1 room at a time (they open the second room in the middle of Open Play slot and deflate everything in 1st room), which seems quite a rip-off for $22 for 1 hour 10 mins of play... I know that in Silicon Valley everything is overpriced and all Pump It Up locations operate the same way, but still think it's unfair and rip-off, also considering that their facility is outdated. read more

Took my kid here for a two-hour open block format; $14. I guess this place mainly caters to private parties, birthdays, etc. So this was an opportunity to check it out and see if we'd one day host a bday here. It was a Monday, and so you can imagine my daughter wasn't particularly thrilled to be the only kid here. Nonetheless she tried each area at least once. I'm sure she'd have a blast if there were friends to run around with. Overall I gave this place a 4/5 star because I've been to a couple other similar establishments and this one was sort of basic to me. That being said still seems like a great time for kids 3+ years old. If you do have a crawler they had a modest play obstacle. read more

We've been to several birthday parties and finally hosted our own here. The rooms are super fun for the kids and I really like how we start in one room and then move to the second. This really keeps the kid's attention with new ideas. They have a broad range of jumping areas for kids of every age. Amazing to think the first time I brought my son here he clung to my leg, and today he climbs up and slides down the tallest slides with enthusiasm. During this COVID-19 environment I was really pleased with having a private room and all the cleaning precautions they took. I especially want to call out the crew today. There was a snafu with the cake. Not at all their fault, but they were very concerned and told me immediately about the problem. How they solved this situation showed me that they cared deeply about my daughter's birthday experience. The day was perfect and we will gladly book parties here in the future. read more

I had my son's 8th birthday party here on Sunday, July 25th, 2021. After years of doing all the work myself (errands to get the food, multiple runs for decor/cutlery/cake) and spending 2 hours to decorate, 2 hours for the party then the 1-2 hour clean up- I really didn't feel up to all that again. I sat down and calculated my budget historically for the parties, time and realized that I wasnt really saving myself that much money. The customer service was excellent! Theytake care of everything! The kids all had a blast and I got to actually enjoy the party and socialize rather than hosting, running games, preparing food. Participating was awesome. The food was pricey but on par with other birthday party locations. I chose not to do cake or cupcakes and felt that their cold stone cupcakes were way over-priced. I recommend this option if you are usually doing it on your own (with little help) from extended family and want an easy day where you can park enjoy the experience with your kids. It is expensive though...so be prepared because food adds up. read more

Events are 2 hour long. There are 2 bouncy house room, you spend 30 minutes in each room. The last hour you end up in the party room where pizza and cake is served. Staff take care of everything, from cutting the cake, serving the pizza, and clean up. Staff are professional and organize. Events is kept on a 2 hour schedule. So don't showup late or you might be having cake only. As far as the food, the pizza is just average, comparable to Little Cesar. The pizza crust is pre-made and pizza is made in house. No outside food, only what is provided in your package. I been here a couple times as a party guess and never organize an event here. It's always been well organized. They have different packages for your event. They make it very easy since they take care of everything for you! read more

We came here for a birthday party a few days ago and I really liked the idea of having the kids jump and then settle for pizza and cake and have your party done in 2 hours with no mess of cleaning up. However, after the 2 hours of being there I didn't even want to consider it for a future party.. They have back to back parties with kids from one jump room to the next WITH NO CLEANING in between. I saw how we were being taken to the 2nd jump room and people were entering the 1st jump room we were just in without it being sanitized or sprayed down with anything. That just shows how the company only cares about making money instead of taking some extra steps to clean while COVID is very much still here! They have an open bouncy house from 3:25-4:25pm on Mondays ($10/per person), not sure about the other times that they're open. There's about 7 bounce houses, 2 with really steep but ridiculously fun slides. Adults are allowed to go on them which is why I gave this place 4 stars. Friendly staff. The food here is ABYSMAL. They charge $33 per pizza and they are the absolute worst I have ever had. The bill comes to over $900 for the smallest party package, adding in the food purchase. They charge a hell lot of money if you want to get your own food. The pizzas were thick, doughy, undercooked. The pizza sauce was extremely sparse. Cheese was on there for name sake. Toppings were sprinkled like salt and pepper, sparingly and burnt. They were not even spread out properly, thick edges of the pizza were entirely barren and inedible. Unfortunately, according to their policy, we cannot reschedule, so we lost the entire money we put it. Pay attention to terms and conditions before paying. They dont highlight it anywhere else and I missed seeing it. However, the 2-stars is for the food. While they refused to refund any part of the amount we paid towards food "since they already bought ingredients", they said we can collect the food. We decided to get just the baked ziti. I am almost glad that the party got cancelled and our guests did not have to eat it. It was uncooked pasta with some half burnt tomato sauce on top. While the party area looked like fun and the kids would have enjoyed it, perhaps not the best place to host a birthday and serve food for guests. read more

We had our daughter's birthday here last weekend and we absolutely loved it. We were called a few times before the party to make sure everything was planned exactly how we wanted it. We showed up there and brought a few things, they set up the entire party room for us. We enjoyed an hour or so in both bounce house rooms. I love how big it was and how all the kids could really spread out. Everything, carpets, jumpy houses, restrooms, waiting area, etc, were all very clean. I loved how I could just show up, have a great time, and leave right after. No setting up or cleaning my house beforehand. They ran the party, served the food and drink, everything. We just celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Pump it Up. We've opted for the home birthday for the past few years but with a winter birthday we've had some fails especially due to weather! This is a great place for kids birthday parties and to take kids here just for fun. I've been to several birthday parties here and it's a lot of fun for all the kids. The kids start in one room and then they get chauffeured to other rooms. Each room has bounce houses or jump houses and they all have slides. After an hour or so they get to have their own kids party in a separate room where food is catered by this store. No joke, one time I was at a kid's birthday party at someone's house and the kids were dumping dirt on some poor woman's back porch while she frantically ran around trying to serve food and keep them entertained. After stopping a rogue child from sweeping the dirt into the house, I thought to myself, "There's no way in hell I will have a kid's party at my house." The stress was too much! Which is why Pump It Up was the perfect place to have my daughter's 6th birthday party! I admittedly reserved the party online sight unseen (potential parent fail), but the PIU staff was great about calling and communicating everything leading up to the big day so I felt prepared. The place is clean (no dirt piles!), well organized, and most importantly, FUN! Holly was our party leader and she was amazing!! The kids loved her, and she was so great to work with. She kept the kids entertained, the party flowing from room to room, and was an enormous help with the wrap up (singing, cake hand out, clean up, etc.). The facility is HUGE and has 15 feet tall ceilings in playrooms. It was very clean and colorful. I had the glow party package and the 2nd room was AMAZING. All the kids and adults enjoyed that so much. They have the highest grade filter system called Merv 13 that ensures fresh air circulation and you can feel it. It never felt scruffy in there it was cool and fresh the whole time. My kids and all the adults enjoyed the whole experience. They had so much fun they wanted to play more and did not want to leave. The staff doing everything for me made it less stressful on me and them taking pictures for me made it easier for myself to also enjoy my time there with my kids. I would actually give this place three and a half stars because it is really cool, especially when they have the second room open. I do not like that the big kids jump with the little kids and there's no one to stop them from being rowdy. My two-year-old kept getting knocked over and no one seemed to care that the older kids were climbing up the slide and on top of the inflatables, etc... I've been to this location twice. The first time I brought my daughter and my niece, and they had both rooms open with very few children there. It was a lot of fun, and my niece loved the climbing inflatable. The second time I went was just with my daughter, right when they opened, and there were about 15 kids there. They did not have the inflatables inflated when they let us all in the room, and they never opened the second room. I think that's kind of weird considering there are only three things in the main room. Anyway, my daughter still loves it because the inflatables are pretty extensive, with lots of obstacles and stuff to do. You can bring food and drinks, but only eat them in the party area. They have a vending machine in there with water, sports drinks, and I think sodas. There is also a drinking fountain. The super slides that they have are very steep and very fast. If you wear nylon type leggings or spandex, you might slide right off the bottom of the slide and hurt yourself. I hurt my ankle the first time. The second time I scratched my arm on velcro, I think, on the wall of the slide when I went down. read more

Our party time started at 2:15 pm but they were running behind schedule and we didn't start until 2:30 pm but I was fine with it since some of my family and friends were a little late so it gave them time. The front desk was so accommodating to us and I didn't have to worry about anything. Although the hosts that we got for the party could have been more energetic and loud for the kids to get hyped up but I guess since this place just opened they had to get used to this? I don't know but my daughter and her friends were so happy and had a blast and that's all that really matters. Oh also! This location is a bit smaller than the other locations but that didn't really bother me or my boyfriend. Recently my daughter had been invited by one of her friends at school to his birthday party and it was here also. It was still pretty much the same but the hosts that they had was way much more active and energetic so that's good! Oh and they don't allow you to open presents anymore which sucks! It was raw and cold. Also, the large looks like a medium? They charged $33 per pizza for the speciality pizzas but it was undercooked, not even cut properly , and cold. Frankly, it was embarrassing. If you are not going to allow us to bring in food, atleast make sure what you are offering is eatable. I called the facility four times to speak to a manager , even left Vm but no one picks up or returns calls. Also, kept having to ask for plates and napkins/cups. The drinks were on another table, pizzas on the other side of the room. Kids were not asked if they wanted a second serving. It was ridiculous. Absolutely five stars for this place. We had my son's 8th birthday party here. I've had and been to a dozen birthday parties at the various bouncy places around San Jose, but this one was better. From the start, a young lady (Jewel perhaps - it started with a J), found me and my wife and told us she'd be with us the rest of the party and then... and here's the unusual part... was with us the rest of the party. Like a boss. When we got some kids together and went into the first room, the kids immediately started playing around. Normally this is where we lose the employees. Nope. Not this time. They organized games, pumped up the kids and were awesome. Same with the second room, and they were awesome with the kids in the final room with the cake - being loud (in a good way) and energized for the kids and serving like pros. Very fun place to come with kids. My 2.5yr old son had a blast here. You have to check online or call ahead to see the opening for non birthday parties/special events. Today (saturday) was from 2:30-3:45 and they offered free ice cream sundae which we had to skip but entry was only $12 for kids. Adults r free! So $12 for 1 hr of fun was well worth it. The place isn't as big as expected and gets a bit crowded. My husband had as much fun as my son going down the slide. (Its not those 2 ft slides).. Not only did this place endure my many order updates, additions, and questions... but they also gave us two amazing hosts to make sure our party was as perfect as could be. Brynna & Maddie you guys rock! Seriously! Kids birthday parties can be super stressful... and here I come with my heard of 40 plus, melting cupcakes, and crazy goodie bag shenanigans. They were NOT intimidated LOL! We didn't care to much about decorations, but rather a relaxed party room and they let those balloons fly wild just as requested!
