We've had several birthday parties at Pump It Up, but last night's was the topper. The whole process was EASY - from booking the party, picking the food, and making sure all details are covered before the day of the party. Taylor & Madison were the best team we've ever worked with at this location. They had great energy and patience throughout the party. We didn't have to lift a finger. We opened gifts in the party room and they even kept a list of who brought what. I would highly recommend this location for any party. The glow party was a huge hit, and the new inflatables (especially the "American Ninja Warrior" type in the glow room were a crowd favorite. I just had my sons 3 year old party here and let me tell you it was worth every penny! The two party helpers were awesome! I cannot recall their names but thank you both. I did not have to worry about anything! They do it all, set up, cut the cake, play with the kids, take pictures, and clean up! I will now come back to have my 8 year olds party here. We visit this Pump It Up fairly regularly for open jumps and just recently hosted my daughter's 5th birthday party there. The party went off without a hitch. Nicole and the Pump It Up staff were incredibly attentive and made sure each detail of the party was exactly as we wanted it. All the kids had an amazing time! I highly recommend Pump It Up San Jose as a party destination or even an outing to get out some wiggles! They recently added two new inflatables so if you haven't been there in a while, check it out! My daughter and her friends LOVED the new "Canyon Jump" with hot lava! The adults even had a great time on it! Side note- The staff did an amazing job having all kids sanitize their hands before going into the play area and upon leaving it. We had such a great time! I planned my son's 5th birthday party here and I honestly don't even think the photos and reviews do it justice. I was expecting fun and that the kids would be pretty well entertained... But I wasn't expecting the personal attention. I felt like I threw the party, but was still able to ENJOY it... Which I never would have done at home. I don't know why it sticks out so much... But they even cut the cake! They bag up the presents and any extra cake or pizza you might have... You get a cart and they even offer to help you out if you need it. It was just such a good experience! The slides were huge and all of the kids had so much fun! Most of the time having a party involves some amount of stress that the kids are going to potentially break something or mess something up, especially with five year olds. Came here for a kids bday party. I gotta say it was pretty well organized. They let you bounce and play for about 30 or 45 minutes before they move you over to the next room where there are more and different bouncers and activites. You're there for about 30 minutes until they take you to the cake and pizza room. Pizza was blah.They do give you enough time to eat ,sing happy birthday and distribute cake/cupcakes before its time to part ways. We had our daughter's 5th birthday here and it was a blast for all the kids! We had Brad and Nicole helping us out and they literally took care of everything. They made it so easy by taking pictures, serving the food, and keeping us on schedule and having fun. We got the Ultimate package which included food, drinks, goodie bags, and balloons for 25 kids. We found that the pizza provided was more than enough too. The goodie bags are actually pretty great and save you from having to go buy a ton of stuff. We also added on the balloon machine which I would say is a must; the kids love it! Overall the value you get is fantastic here, and the staff is awesome. Recently at Pump it Up, I checked in my two favorite boys a six and four year old while their mommy recovered from illness. The time schedules were perfect and the place was spotless. The play area is supervised and parents were there helping out. The boys climbed, slid, and jumped their way around Pump It Up and were so happy! They didn't want to leave. I'm writing this review based on being a guest for a birthday party here. My son had his 6th birthday at the Pump It Up on Mead Ave in Sunnyvale and compared to this one, the one in Sunnyvale is a lot better. For one, the employees who lead the party were not that enthusiastic, one of them was ok. The other employee looked like she hated her job. We were welcomed with a friendly greet once we stepped inside. And upon serving the food, they were ok, but my friend's who were throwing the party didn't even know if they were the ones who were supposed to pass out the favors. They did an ok job of communicating with her on letting her know what to do. The photos taken during the play time in 2 rooms that was displayed as a slideshow during the time we were eating were not that great, a majority of them were blurry. Also, this location only has 2 rooms and is smaller than the one in Sunnyvale. I also did notice one of the jumpers weren't at the right inflation point because when you go down the slide, you'd go to the side and not straight down. That same jumper also was looking like it was tearing slowly tearing apart and needed to be replaced. Overall, I don't think I would ever host a birthday party at this location due to the employees. I mean, you were at a children's play place and host parties, where is your energy and enthusiasm? read more

Beware parents of your children going here. All staff is unqualified to handle a emergency situation. I was at a party where a child fliped off of a slide & had serious head injury. I am cerified CPR over 20 years. However the unqualified staff had no clue of procedure or policy for emergency situations.In the chaos, my uncle called 911. As a fact the staff took 20 mins before calling 911. It is apparent no knowledge or training for emergency sistuations is needed for Managers or staff. This is wrong. Everyone at the party was traumatized. But there was no upper management to respond to this serious issue, especially when told by the manager the owner is on vacation. read more

We come regularly a few times a week for open jump hours, which is a lot of fun and tires my girls out sufficiently for dinner and bedtime! We just had our oldest daughter's fifth birthday party there, and we were all blown away by the level of service that is provided! The two young women that worked our party were helpful, fun, and accommodating of nearly every need we may have experienced. The pizza, which you are forced to buy if you want pizza at your party, is actually decent enough although ridiculously expensive. You bring your own cake or whatever sweet you like and they cut & serve it to your guests. The people working these parties really put a lot of effort in and deserve to be tipped well, so remember to bring cash or write in something extra for them at the end! We dropped the ball on goody bags and unfortunately didn't realize until just before we left that they can even provide the goody bags for an added cost! Manager Brenda at this branch and her manager Swati (unbelievable to me, is the owner) are terrible. Deceitful and unprofessional. They tried overcharging us for our head count. Insistent they were right and they do a head count during the event. We deputed and even had the evidence to prove how many kids were present. We have a photo of the number of children present from a group photo they themselves take. But even with the proof they both handled themselves completely unprofessional and with attitude for questioning them. The owner Swati actually just hung up on me at the end of our call instead of apologizing for the error and doing the right thing for proper customer service. We certainly will not ever be giving them our business again and I will of course let everyone know what I feel about this facility. read more

It was okay. Had my nieces party here. Honestly, it's not worth how much I paid. My party coordinator had too much sass, and looked like she didn't want to be there. I paid till 6pm and they tried kicking me out at 5:50. I was told I could order more pizza if I felt it wasn't enough and once I saw the SMALL pizzas I wanted to order one more, but she said she couldn't do that. The eye rolling from the party coordinators was also pretty annoying. Then wanting a 10% tip which is 40 dollars is pretty annoying too. I would have paid it if she kept the happy face on the whole day, but she didn't. Faking until you make it or until you get your tip at least. If I could I give this place negative stars I would. My daughter went to a party here last year - she flipped out of a jumping apparatus - the one where kids climb up a pyramid and LANDED ON HER HEAD. She had a hairline fracture in her skull and a very bad concussion. She flipped over 5 ft in the air. There is no enclosure on this apparatus and they should not have been jumping in it. The worst part is that I called and asked to see the video from the security cameras. I had to call numerous times to get a response. After 2 weeks. I received a phone call from the owner saying that he did not have the video because it was erased. WHAT?! Not acceptable. At that point, my daughter missed a week of school but THANKFULLY on the mend. She still has a huge bump on her forehead from this incident. Reading old reviews I see that it has happened before. Why they don't remove this particular jumping apparatus is beyond me. It is clearly unsafe. I talked to the owner and told him that the staff was not supervising and he listened and was apologetic. I will give him that. He offered me a free birthday party for my daughter and I was like - um NO THANK YOU. We would NEVER go back there. So bring your kids and let them jump at your own risk. read more

Just threw my son's 5th bday here today and it was great. Clean, and organized. The kids had a great time. Parents wore masks and kids did not. The host had them all wash their hands in the bathroom before entering eating room. I had my daughters birthday here in Nov during covid and same thing. Clean and everyone was safe.
