I attended a friend's daughter's 5th birthday party on a Saturday late morning. Parking was spacious and the building was easy to locate. Check in was quick if you complete a waiver beforehand. The front desk employee was very kind & welcoming. There are two timed rooms with various inflatable obstacle courses. I like how the whole room is private & the kids move from one room to the next altogether. The play area accommodates a good range of age groups including toddlers. After the two rooms, they led us into the party room and the birthday kid gets to sit in a huge inflatable chair. The staff immediately started serving the food. The pizza was pretty decent and I applaud the employee for keeping the drink pitchers well stocked especially how thirsty all the kids were from jumping. I think they had forgotten the chicken for the adults but it came out fairly quickly afterwards. There were venue themed party favor bags passed out at the end, which was full of fun goodies that all kids were super excited about. The bathroom had dim lighting & looked little older but seemed clean overall. The party was booked for 2 hrs, which was plenty of fun & eating time for the kids. Pump it Up! I attended my little cousin's 5 yr birthday here yesterday. The location was very easy to find, the parking was a breeze and the facility was very clean and well maintained. There are, I believe 2 rooms with 2 bouncy houses in them where kids can run bounce and play and they have hand sanitizer everywhere. The bday party is super easy for parents, the employees do all the heavy lifting. They hype up the kids, guide them from room to room, lead singing happy birthday to the bday kid and serve the food to all the children. They leave the food out buffet style in the back of the room for the adults to serve themselves. They also take pics of all the kiddos while they're playing and then a montage of all the pics is shown on the screen in the pizza party room while they're eating. The kids loved seeing themselves in all the photos. It was so cute to watch them look at all the pics. More importantly, they absolutely loved the bouncy houses which seemed perfect for pre school to elementary aged children. Great job Pump It Up staff! Flashing lights and bouncy things everywhere, dirt and mold in the corners of rooms and on the walls, and don't even get me started on the bathrooms... When I'm not ready for Barbi so to speak, I have to "pump it up" for her, and I do. We had the nephew's birthday party here a while back, not my choice but I helped pay as usual, and honestly I have nothing bad to say. Everybody had fun and they were accommodating even though there was a couple of extra people in the party, everybody seemed pretty friendly on the day. More importantly it was just a good party environment and they know what they're doing and we fully support them. In fact the only reason why I don't give five stars is because I was surprised to see a lot of the responses on the business page. Obviously like most other Yelp users I don't really read negative reviews because I assume they're from rival businesses or just people who had a bad day. But when I see the very aggressive and argumentative responses from the owners and representatives of the business then it's a bad look. Overly defensive, unneccessary, much much better to say nothing at all. They should just delete all of those and either not respond, or say sorry you didn't have a good time and we hope to do better next time and leave it at that. The way they respond to their negative criticism is a really really bad look for any business. Like "it's never our fault, it's your fault", and that's no way to talk to a paying customer no matter how angry and Karen/Kevin that very annoying customer might be. It's hurting business a lot more than bad reviews do. I tell businesses this all the time. They never listen. Five stars if they tone down the responses and adopt some chill. Great experience for booking and executing my 7 year olds party. You can book a spot online which is really convenient. The person in charge called me and verified the details. At the time, I had booked a party for 18 guests, but has little RSVPs so she was able to downgrade me to a 12 person party. She told me you can downgrade before day of but not during. Party was run very smoothly. They have 2 rooms and they bring the kids in about 30 min each room which keeps things fresh. Make sure you tell people to wear socks, or they have socks for sale there too for about $3. I love that they have bouncy areas and toys for kids under 3 too, if they aren't interested in jumping with big kids. The staff sets up the pizza and plates for you in the party room. You can bring your own cakes cupcakes drinks (anything that doesn't require ice or heating) and they will setup for you. Staff will serve and organize happy birthday song. Overall, all the staff were so nice and caring. We had some extra folks join for the last 30 minutes and they only charged me for 13. Great experience, affordable since the pizza is included. The party food room was not set up on time. We were being pushed out of the glow room because the next party needed to come in, but had nowhere to go because the party/food room wasn't ready. We ordered 11 pizzas and were told the staff could handle it, but had over half the pizzas come out the last 20 min of the party. So I have 6 total pizzas no one touched (and no it wasn't because we over ordered, it's because the food wasn't ready and people already began to leave). The party room was sticky and the air conditioning wasn't working. When I told this to the man at the front desk, he just said "we had three call outs this morning". It's fine to be efficient and book parties back to back, but then you need a very efficient process in turning over the space. Celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday at Pump It Up! They schedule works seamless and is so cool that the kids get to play by themselves as a party. Each room to play in is so fun for the kids and gets them tired enough and ready for their pizza party. Having our personal party helper made for such a wonderful time and experience!! My only gripe is that I wish I had known that the amount of party guests/kids depends on the timeslot for the party. I paid for 12 but when I confirmed that only 8 had confirmed, they said I would have needed to change my party time. That didn't make sense though since invitation had already gone out and it would have been confusing to make a time shift. I paid for more than what I needed but, overall the party itself was awesome for my 3 year old. I literally didn't have to set up, break down or clean up a thing!! Sugarland location was disgustingly dirty! If I could give it zero stars I would. I'm sure the owner will come on here and try and negate all the things I have to say as he's done in other reviews or more so try and say the "venue was not for me". This is his way of not taking accountability for such a grotesque establishment. I was embarrassed to have had my daughter's birthday celebrated here. The floors are dirty and the bathroom was so gross I was afraid to let my daughter use the restroom. Also, the owner sets up the process so that not one minute goes unpaid. The site states a clean environment but that's not true. He allows for not one second of time between parties in the jumping rooms so there is no time to even try to spray disinfectant at the very least. He "shooed" myself and my mother like animals while the kids were putting on their shoes to go to the next area. As this was being done he turned the lights off for the next party who were already walking in. The people who do the glow in the dark don't get to see just how dirty it is. The owner puts on a facade that he is kind but he truly does not care. His favorite thing to say apparently is "we've had over 10,000 great reviews...", well those must have been just based on kids having fun and not how well people are treated and the cleanliness. Also, some kids had to literally be saved from the inflatable because it was not fully inflated causing a very dangerous situation with the potential to cause severe harm! Did he care when I noted this...? Nope, he said apparently it wasn't the venue for me. Mind you, I paid and tipped and was sure to bring all this to his attention well after so not allow him to insinuate that I wanted a refund. Also the staff were not helpful. My "host", maybe said two words and I had to serve my own food and cake to my guests. They also did not place my cake figurines into our cart to which they stated everything was in there and I didn't notice until I was home and it was too late. The review is more to allow others to know what to expect. I had never been before. It's a hefty price and everyone works hard to be able to plan something like this for their children and it's sad to be let down and feel robbed due to false promises and advertisement. I noted another post in which the person had the same experience and the owner proceeded to tell her she was making the review out of pure hate. This is not hate. I personally reached out in hopes that maybe he would be more receptive and take accountability but he did not. I have the gross pictures of the restroom and videos of the next party already in our area as we were moving on to the next! It did not allow me to post The video in the bathroom which shows me wiping with toilet paper and you can visibly see how much grime comes off! I don't think they have cleaned that bathroom in months! There was what appeared to be mold in areas! Some of it was something a quick cleaning could fix but you could tell it had not been done in quite some time. I was an early party so they can't say it was due to kids. There is so much more but honestly I've already wasted too much time with this. I just wanted to warn parents who care about how clean a place is and how they are treated. Note to owner, don't bother responding. Nothing you can say now will suffice. You could have at least tried to apologize and recognize that there was room for improvement and you did not. Place was decent. Went to a friend's son's birthday party. The room with the bouncy houses was clean, fun in the dark with dark lights, a little hard to see anything when you walk into the dark but kids seemed to manage to have as much fun as if the lights were on. The room for the food was a decent size to fit the children and the adults as well as the party favors, cake and gifts. There's a huge inflated throne the birthday child can sit in which is fun. Staff was ok as far as helpfulness, seemed like they were most active when they were trying to get us out at the end. The manager even came in and announced he wanted to be able to send his staff home... not very professional. A very good place to throw a child's birthday party as we did in mid August for our three year old and at a good price too! It was overall well organized and very fun. I recommend the room with a window view. I also thought the pizza was good. The vegetable tray we had they didn't make, it was Taylor Farms. I'm not sure about the fruit tray, but both were good either way. There were some things that could use improvement though like how one employee can talk to a child better about a rule which was not actually a posted or given rule ahead of time such as how he bounced, considering best time to call and letting call back happen if parent gets too busy during the call when finalizing party options, and lost and found services. Had issues with losing a couple items that supposedly could not have been left behind as we were told when they were indeed and found shortly afterwards. I would call this mega bounce house a lot of fun and safe for kids. My daughter went to a friend's birthday party here and the overall experience was pretty organized and well managed. The preschoolers including my daughter (all age 3-4) seemed to have a great time. Pricing looks reasonable as compared to other kids fun place/ party venues in the nearby areas. I was happy with everything here except for this young lady on the staff who was extremely rude to the kids. With a straight face, she did NOT smile AT ALL while I was in the party room with her for 45 minutes; seriously, she had zero expression in the face. While the kids were sanitizing their hands before entering the party room, I literally saw that she pushed one kid really hard just because the kid was not moving fast enough. While serving foods, she acted like she had heard nothing when the kids were requesting fruit punch drink and chocolate ice cream. Her attitude was absolutely horrible and she obviously hated her job! I tell you what, girl....if you don't like what you are doing, just freaking go home and don't ruin the kids' happiness! I was told I could use a banner for my grand daughters party, then they called and said no, so I called today and spoke to the ownEd TERRY, he was EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! Wouldn't let me finish, he went off on me and told me that he would gladly cancel my party and FIRE whoever told me I could, he then kept rambling on about how hard it was and that they were closed for six months..... So im going to start off with how wonderful everyone is. I spoke this gentleman over the phone a few times switching things for my daughters 4th bday. Due to my financial situation i had to make sure i paid for what i could in children attending. The man I spoke to was so nice to me and I cried on the phone witnh him for how understabding he was. During the party there was a gentleman and a lady hosting my daughters bday. He was so polite and nice. The girl was too. I wish i got their names. We booked my son's birthday at this location. We called weeks before and asked if we could bring a cake, food and chips for the adults. We were told that would be okay prior to out arrival. I walked in with Cane's chicken fingers unaware that it was deemed "OUSTIDE" food. Instead of coming up to me politely, explaining the company policy to me, the jerk-off owner (older man with white hair and glasses) yells at me across the room and says OUTSIDE FOOD IS NOT ALLOWED! This was right in front of my friends and family. I'm also a business owner many times over and know that you should never treat or speak to anyone like this. We then made it into the party room and only had one person to serve drinks and food to our guests. We ordered the ultimate package and received half the staff. Two helpers are usually there in the party area to help (I've seen this at other parties at this specific location). On top of that we found a huge roach on one of the tables in the party room. The owner gave me a back handed apology, up charged me $75.00 for the outside food, and said he couldn't help that he was short staffed and that they sprayed for bugs weeks ago. I know exactly why he is short staffed. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere because we as parents deserve better when paying that kind of money for a birthday party. I would strongly suggest you choose Pump it up Katy, Monkey Joes, Urban Air, Jumping World or another venue for your next celebration. I had my daughter's 5th birthday party here today and it was fantastic. Not only did the kids enjoy having two different arenas to play in (very different experiences since we chose the black light option for the second room) but there were numerous things to do in each room. The gentleman helping us with the party was very kind and great with the kids. He noticed two of the younger guests (baby brother and his friend) were a little scared in the dark so he asked if i wanted the safety lights on. Once he turned them on it helped immensely since the almost 2 year olds weren't a fan of the dark and black lights. The lights didn't detract from the experience much and I'm really glad he offered. The owner, Rebecca, was helping with the party as we moved to the room for the pizza and cake. She was very nice and brought me in to make sure it was set up to my liking. I'm easy to please but it was a nice gesture. My daughter was shy when they were chanting her name to come inside and once she realized it she had them stop. I ultimately had to carry her in for her grand Birthday entrance but such is life lol. They wouldn't let me help clean even though I'm very hands on and it was a very easy, stress free party experience. I highly recommend for kids 3-6 years old. If they are much older they might get bored but we have been at both 4 and 5 years old and they had a blast. My almost two year old was a little young but he is extremely adventurous and did well with a little help from the staff and his grandpa. Great value going during the week and the kids had pizza, ice cream, goodie bags, and a balloon. I brought a cake and they even had candles in the event I didn't have one. Surprised at some of the other experiences with this location. I've been to other Pump it Up locations and really hated them (the central Houston one has the worst service). I've also been to a few other inflatables places, and I have to say this Pump it Up location exceeds them all. I come here a couple times a month for Open Jump on the weekdays (really affordable with the punchcard), and my kids love it. I can kind of relax on the side, and I often even get my laptop out to get work done. The staff is always really nice and great with kids. It's pretty empty most weekdays with just a few kids, so usually a staff member usually will go play and interact with the kids. I've been to many birthday parties here as well (I can think of 4-5 off the top of my head), and they always do a good job. I have never used them for one of our own parties, but as a guest, the parties were always well done and fun for kids. (See my review for the other Pump it Up location for comparison). I've never had a bad experience with anyone at the front desk. I usually see a man who I assumed was the manager or owner, and he always makes a bit of small talk and is very sweet to the kids. read more

My niece had her birthday party here. My sister and brother-in-law didn't have much to complain about, they had a good experience. Their biggest complaint that wasn't a big deal to them was that the employee was cutting the cake slices too large and not everyone got some. Most of us did not like their pizza. They make it there and it's not good pizza. One of the four tables broke and they couldn't fix it so several people had to stand. If they allowed outside food it would have been 5 stars. I felt it was pretty organized. The kids had a great time. It didn't feel chaotic at all. One person said both rooms were too small and it was too crowded. That's crazy because these rooms aren't small, they had to have had a huge crowd that is over their limit. We had 16 kids and probably 25-30 adults and we had a ton of room. It was way more than enough space. And we could find our kids easily. If I could give this a place a 0 star rating I would, anything above that is too generous. I had the worst experience and want to prevent you from wasting your money and time here. The play area is filthy, they have parties back to back without any sanitation and half ass cleaning in the party room. Not only that but the parties are rushed due to their poor time management. I asked the manager twice prior to booking how much time I'd have to set up and I was guaranteed at least 20 minutes however that was not the case. My PAID event planner waited outside the entire party and wasn't invited in the room until 10 minutes before the kids were supposed to come in and rushed them inside instead of rushing the party out that was over their allotted time. There was no grand entrance, no music and the pictures I paid to have them take were dark, blurry, horrible action shots and a complete waste of money. Over spring break, we attended open jump at this facility. The place itself is very clean, and fun for the kiddos to play. It has fun inflatables, and from the minute we walked in we were greeted with a smile by the girl at the front and the employees who were working were extremely nice. So as an adult, we appreciate those things. It seemed like the environment was great. I was not disappointed at all at first. But this is where it goes from 10 to 1. As we were leaving, we experienced an older man, who happens to be the owner, be very rude and disrespectful to ALL of the employees. He was so disrespectful to the girl at the front, the employees in the arenas, and other employees there that day. The way he talked to his employees is NOT okay at all. The reason why I am posting this now is because my friend attended a party there this past weekend and was talking to all of our friends about how nasty the owner got with the employees. It's understandable to get mad, but to be rude, disrespectful, and abusive is not okay at all. These two instances has made this place, for us, be some place that we don't want to go back to. You can clearly see that the owner is not a respectful person, and I know I'm not the first one to experience this. There's another review about him being disrespectful to a costumer last year. Very disappointed. Several incidences makes me feel this place makes up rules and just want to take your money and doesn't care about repeat business. 1. For a birthday party, I initially asked about bring outside food, staff said not allowed as they have their own kitchen. Later when I talked to the manager/owner it was said yes, but you pay for $75 fee. In other locations I previously hosted they didn't ask you for a fee and in other party places where they ask for cleanup fee it was $50. Here they really jack up the prices. 2. During the party, in one of the party rooms, one inflatable they had the children line up and go jump one at a time which created a long line and as a result. Lot of children all piled up into anther inflatable with slides and are sliding on top of each other and getting hurt. When this was brought up to the manager/owner to allow 2 or 3 kids to go with some spacing instead of waiting for 1 kid to finish the entire jump sequence of 4/5 mounts I was told "No this is the rule and we will not change even if you don't ever come back." He said it was a safety issue, which is ironic as the children were getting hurt on the other inflatables due to this. If they were serious about enforcing safety rules, they should have the same standards for open jumps whenever I go, I see more than 5 kids on their at a time with no one guarding. It's just hypocritical. After spending $1000, I was told it's ok if you don't come back. Yes I think I better take my money elsewhere next time. 3. Other location give you 2 free open jumps after party, but not here. 4. Facilities are not kept up. There are a couple of small cars, which are all missing steering wheel or doors. 5. One time I was here for an open jump, the AC was dripping water near the entrance of one of the inflatables. I brought this to the attention of the staff. Instead of trying to put a bucket or fix the leak. They just went and shut off the the inflatable. So no more play but no mention of refund or reduction for this bad experience. In general I have enjoyed open jumps and hosting parties at other pump it up location. But as the owner suggested I am not coming back to this one as I am not a appreciated customer. read more
