The place was busy around 6pm, and friendly server quickly got menus for us, and within a few minutes, we had our drinks: a lovely $13 Maple Walnut Old Fashioned, fiery intense Makers Mark sweetened a little by maple syrup and focussed with walnut bitters. And a bright $13 Pom Pom Fizz, earthy gin with pomegranate juice, prosecco, and i think some lime juice. Both were well crafted , balanced, and refreshing. They started us with a sliced long narrow loaf of hot filone bread, with one of our Italian favorites, warm pinzimonio dipping oil: fresh aromatic olive oil with a pinch of mixed rich parmesan crumbles, zingy red-pepper flakes, and savory green herbs.
