They had a stand at the Torrance Farmers Market on Saturday and I thought the food was pretty good. Each pupusas was $4 and I got to eat the shrimp with vegetable and loroco and cheese pupusas. Texture of the pupusas was good and overall I really enjoyed it.

Pupusas Delmy is a farmer's market staple all around the LA neighborhood. If I'm not mistaken, this is the same pupuseria that would pop-up at Coachella. Of course, when at Coachella, things always taste extra good! Despite not having a Coachella for the past two years, I luckily was able to try them out again at the Monrovia Farmer's market. I got there super late, so was only able to have the bean and cheese pupusas. They were already sold out of most. The pupusas are made to order and are fresh when you get them. Don't forget to get the curtido and hot sauce on top.

This review is based on their tent at the CSUDH Farmers Market. I make it a point in my life to go every Tuesday to their booth. I order their two pupusa combo, it comes with the two pupusas plátano frito for $12. Their aguas frescas are AMAZING and cost $6. The service is fast, friendly, and the food is made to order FRESH. Curtido is my favorite I've tried by far. Can't go to school on a Tuesday without hitting up their stand.

Living in the area, I'm surprised that it's taken so long for me to try this pupusa stand, let alone see the Farmer's Market in which it's at. Prices are steep for one ($4), but it's at the Farmer's Market, so it's expected. I've only ever gotten the jalapeno and cheese pupusa, but I really enjoyed it. The jalapenos are subtle, but pack a powerful punch. Also like the toppings and sauce that come with it. I hope to go back and try more of the menu. Here's hoping to that!

The servers were friendly and kind. I really(!) wanted to like these pupusas but I could not. -Shrimp: some subtle bleach/soap flavor permeated of -Chicken: could still taste the soap but less, served hot -Beans: served lukewarm temperature and I just didn't want to have anymore Playa Vista pupusa vendor trumps this any day and there is no soap or bleach flavor present.

This place has a vegan pupusa on the menu! http://su.pr/31RCIn http://su.pr/25rLJB I think they change up the veggies that fill up the stuffed maize tortilla because one time it had carrots, potato, onions, and beans. Another time it had zucchini, corn, peas, and rice. The serving is a moderate size and it comes with a pickled slaw and salsa. Pretty good for $4. It seems that they don't have these pre-made because the two times I've ordered the vegan pupusa, they informed me that it would take about 7 minutes to make. Perhaps they don't have too many vegan customers. But I'm pretty set on getting one each time I visit the Torrance Farmer's Market.

The dough was fantastic: fluffy, chewy, and perfectly textured with that slight crisp on the outside. The toppings tasted incredibly fresh and balanced instead of overloaded or greasy like a lot of places tend to do. I ordered the Bánh Xèo pizza, which was such a creative twist on the classic Vietnamese dish, and it completely worked. The flavors were unique, bold, and surprisingly addictive. I ended up gobbling down the whole pizza before I even realized it because it was that good. I'll be honest -- the pizza is a little pricey for the size. But after eating it, I totally understood why. I'd much rather pay for a thoughtfully made pizza with quality ingredients than a cheaper mass-produced chain pizza that tastes forgettable five minutes later. What makes this place even better is the setting. You'd expect to find pizza like this at a trendy sit-down restaurant, not casually available at a local farmers market. Being able to grab something this fresh, artisanal, and delicious while walking around the market makes the whole experience feel special and approachable at the same time. Definitely one of the best food surprises I've had at a farmers market in a long time.
