This was my very first time here, and I'm glad I did! The service here is beyond exceptional! The gentleman that helped me with my order took the time to go over some of the menu items with me and he is so nice! I would just go back for the service! The place itself, was not very big, but they kept it tidy and nice that there are a couple of TVs in there to keep you entertained while waiting for your food. Loved the fridge filled with desserts and all the candies they had available to purchase as well. As for the food, I ordered a family size Barria pizza that came with a good amount of the Barria soup! This was pretty good and stuffed with lots of meat (steak). It did make the Barria a little oily, but it was still yummy. Also, for the pollo asado, this was nicely seasoned and laid over rice. I would definitely recommend you trying Pupusas Locas. I will be back to try something different on their menu, like the cheese or bean pupusas.

Very authentic food and the most welcoming staff! Would definitely recommend this spot.

Located right next-door to Kohl's in Covington

This place was highly recommended to me since I love great Mexican food. They're located in Covington directly adjacent to the Kohl's store. Lots of parking and seating inside for about 40 people. The lobby was spotless. Very well laid out. Wait time was minimal once I placed my order and it was well worth it. I had the Birria tacos and they were incredible. The meat was soft and tender, and the consommé for dipping was perfect. They give you a little extra onion, cilantro, and some pickled vegetables if you want to add them. I looked at the menu while I was waiting and it was very extensive. They have something for everyone. I very highly recommend this for anybody that wants to get an authentic Mexican fix.

Absolutely great local place! We got a little bit of everything off their extensive menu and everything we got was extremely flavorful and delicious. Great staff as well, I believe the woman working there the night we went was the owner and she even went out of her way to make me a fresh agua fresca!

We came in because we haven't tried this place yet. We came at lunch time around 1130am on a Friday. The place had a couple customers but mostly people were coming in to pick up to-go orders. The menu is pretty big. The employee said #38 and #12 pupusas are most popular. I ordered the lunch special of Fish Tacos because the price was right and 1 pupusa. My husband ordered wings and a pupusa. We were told 10-15min wait for food. Sadly we waited over 30minutes for our order to come to our table. Maybe they were short staffed and the employee was really kind. But he needs to be honest about the wait time because I did see other customers there, that came in after us, that were clearly on their lunch break. First off you should know I hate ranch dressing. Like really really really hate it. When the fish tacos came they were covered in a sauce that looked and smelled a lot like ranch. And sure enough tasted like it too. I was so disappointed because I just never fathomed that fish tacos would have ranch on them. Thank gosh my husband traded me entrees so I had the wings instead. They were alright, a bit over cooked and small 5/10. My pupusa was great and bigger than I thought it would be. Bigger than my hand. It was a fair price at $5.95 each. It definitely was something you needed to eat with a knife and fork though. It was too soggy to pick up and eat like a hand held taco. I so wanted it to be finger food too! The crunchy slaw on top was excellent. I should have just ordered one or 2 pupusas and nothing else. One really could be satisfying for a lunch entree. 7/10 I'm not sure we will be back due to the wait time but if we do, we will call ahead.

    #4 chicken platter

This place was so good for lunch I brought the family back the next day for dinner. We had the #4 chicken plate with a chicken and pork papusa and a #38 tacos birria and split a pozole soup. Very warm and friendly staff. The counter is full of candy and treats to buy for the kiddos. Great clean seating and big screens had a futbol game on. We are definitely coming back to work through the entire menu.

There's plenty of parking, which is convenient, but unfortunately the food was not to our liking. We ordered quite a bit hoping to find something we enjoyed, but it wasn't what we'd consider traditional Mexican food. Overall, the food just didn't meet our expectations. Service was friendly.

Very homey sort of place, which funnily enough smelled deliciously of Cold Stone, because they're located next door to each other. My husband got the pups gigante, which was good but the flavors kind of got lost in each other because it comes filled with EVERYTHING. My revueltas were good, traditional. It was a bit spendy, but honestly, food in WA is super pricey so this place was no exception. Owners were very nice. I'd recommend.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything I've eaten here is good! Some of my favorites are birria tacos and pupusas. I used to eat pupusas all the time when I lived on the East Coast. This is the first pupusa place I've seen in WA but it's the best pupusa I've had.

This is the best burrito in all of Tacoma/Lakewood!!! I tell everyone to try them. People don't know what they are missing, because they are just getting pupusas. Who would think they would have great burritos. So, these are not like any other burritos, because they are not Mexican. They use their delicious black beans, their white rice with a few little veg, sour cream, onions, cilantro, you can get really good chile sauce if you want it spicy. The sauce is so good. No cheese... can you believe it? Cheese is not even needed. You can get chicken or carne asada, or like we got, no meat and they will add avocado slices. I really wanted no meat, and platano frito added. This is what we used to get, and it's great. They should add a no meat option to the menu, and also the platano option. Everyone that loves unique delicious burritos, come check this place out. The guy that took my order was friendly, and even made our burrito half no cilantro. Thanks! They get busy.

They have a section for napkins, utensils and to go boxes too. If you go to the left, that is the bakery as well as small store of different goodies. They had all types of pastries, cakes, and snacks that you can choose from. The prices seem fair. You can order cakes 2 days before hand but they also had plenty of ready to go cakes available when we came that day. They had big and small cakes in all different flavors. However, they specialize in different versions of their tres leches cakes, including their popular mango one. Before I tell you about the cake we got, I have to mention one of their coconut cream filled puff pastries I got there. It was easily one of the best freakin thing I had in Seattle. I don't even remember what it was called but it was a large sugar coated flaky puff pastry sandwich that had the best coconut house made whip cream inside. It was insanely good and you need to get it if they have it. Delicious! As for our cake, we went with a small 6 inch Piña Colada tres leche cake ($50). We were a little disappointed the guy behind the counter didn't speak English so it made it difficult to tell him what we wanted. We honestly would have ordered much more items if we were able to communicate. It was also a little disappointing that during our short smooth drive back to our hotel that two of the decorative cherries on the cake had fallen off. Not a big deal since I popped them back on but I didn't feel like that was something I had to do. Everyone we shared the cake with enjoyed it. It was very moist and definitely on the sweet side. It was two layers and the pineapple flavor wasn't overwhelming. The small cake was perfect to share with about 10 people. I did think the cake pricing is a little high but not too bad. Besides their full bakery they are also have a full dining menu and places to sit in the restaurant. They offer all sorts of Salvadoran foods. But like I mentioned communicating in English was difficult with the man there so we didn't order. Although I want to try their empanadas. Parking here was also easy since they have their own lot.

Cocktails have been forgotten, which we have had to remind them on as well. To our server's credit, she apologized many times and said the restaurant just got super busy at once.
