The dark roast coffee beans there is my favorite anywhere. The packaging for the two pound bag is very modern and effective. Grinding the beans in the morning and sipping that first mug of brewed coffee is the only way to start the day. Great service from the folks at the counter. read more

Awesome little place! I am so glad I got to try pura vida today. The two customers there were regulars and it was nice to see the ladies working remembered things about them and asking questions. They were polite to me as well! I ordered an almond milk butterscotch latte. It was really good! I love butterscotch but don't think I've had it in a latte. Flavorful without being overly sweet and you can still taste the espresso without it being too much. The cart is cute too. Definitely recommend. read more

YUMMM! It's been awhile since I've stopped by but did today after running errands. The new expanded space looks amazing! So much more room and very inviting to hang out and enjoy your coffee. We picked up a Lobo and Nitro Coffee along with the new breakfast burrito. Dang, that burrito is so delicious! It's always nice to chat with the owners as they are whipping up our delicious coffees. Walked into a semi busy coffee shop with two people ahead of me expecting to wait a few minutes. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a small pour over coffee, which then proceeded to take 30 minutes to prepare, all while 6 other customers who came in after me had their coffees prepared and served while they sat and waited for their food. When I finally received my food and drink, to my dismay the sandwich had a microwaved egg and patty, and the croissant it was on was cold and hard. Coffee is ok but it's difficult to ruin a black cup of coffee. read more

The best iced Cold Brew I've had in the East Valley, including Scottsdale. A caramel drizzle, with caramel cold foam (not too sweet - she nailed it). How many coffee shops have I been to? 40 plus. The foam melted in and it's very smooth and it's a coffee drink - not a kid's drink! Cute small shop with friendly owners and a nice cool fan. This review is long overdue. During the pandemic the Pura Vida Grinds catering truck named Marley rolled into my neighborhood. It was much needed at a time of lock downs. Owner Lobo was really friendly and hooked me up with a nice coffee and muffin. I loved the coffee SO much I drank most of it on my walk home. That was it. I was hooked and also happy to support a family owned small business. My husband and I were thrilled when things opened up and we could visit the shop in East Mesa. It's special there. A couple years later we have lifelong friends, come for the coffee, and stay for the warm hospitality and laughs. FYI I gave up a lifelong habit of adding cream to my coffee because it is THAT good! When I need a cold drink I love the Lobo (very popular and named after the owner) but can always count on Angela to make me something creative when I'm in the mood for a soda based drink . My husband loves the hot mocha and sandwich cookies that come from Costa Rica. They have nice breads and coffee cake along with delicious coconut buns. Come out and support local! I tried the Lobo which I definitely recommend. The ambiance was super cool as everything is from Costa Rica. They sell authentic items from Costa Rica like awesome wood masks and tons of sloth items. I usually stick to more basic coffee drinks but this was a nice treat on a hot day! I chose oat milk in my iced Lobos but kept the whip. It was fun to look at and tasted great! This is a coffee shop that my friend and I frequent. I love the friendliness of the staff, and the coffee is wonderful. It is very clean, turtle pictures on the wall, which reminds me of Hawaii, where I'm from. We usually get a decaf almond milk latte and we like to sit inside to catch up.
