Grateful for Thomas and his crew. My water like from the city to my house was leaking somewhere (14 year old home that was bought new). Could not have happened at a worse time (right around Christmas). Thomas and crew recommended we replace the line vs tearing up our driveway to diagnose the leak (would have been just as costly but I would have ended up with a repair vs a new line). His crew worked diligently through Christmas Eve and on one of the days they were working until close to midnight (they started early in the morning). The repiping included boring underneath my driveway to get to the house. They had to open a small patch of concrete on the driveway, had to open a hole in my drywall inside the garage, and they had to pull back my artificial turf on both sides. When they were done with the project. They put everything back to the way they were (reinstalled turf, fixed concrete, drywall repaired). I am so grateful for their dedication and not working insane hours to get our repipe project completed. Huge regret not looking at negative reviews and instead had just looked at the numbers and overall average ratings to make a decision to use this company. I have three toilets in the house where the two screw/bolts attaching them to the floor are rusted, one of them the screw even broke off from the rusting. No other issues that I noticed. Plumber came and replaced the screws on three toilets and put caulking around the rims of the toilet. The price $832.72. I was ok with that price. However, when he remove one of the toilet he brought up some issues about a flange needed to get the sewage pipe leveled with the floor. I googled it and these flanges ranges between $5-$30 at Home Depot. He estimated to fix this issue I would pay him $569 for option one and more than 2k for option two which they will cut through dry wall. Why would option two even be considered when option one is already out of this world? I rejected further work because they say it was up to me and didn't suggest it was absolutely necessary. I paid the $823.72. Done. And so I thought. Many hours after the job was done and invoice and further estimate was sent I went to observe the rest of the toilets and notice on a different toilet the cap didn't cover the screw so I reached out to have them fix it; it seems an easy thing to fix. The cap was glued tight I couldn't shift it to cover the hole myself. That's when they dropped another bombshell. They said that Nick also gave me an estimate of further work needed to be done for this toilet as well! And it's more than 3k! $3276.18 to be exact! How do they even come up with these numbers to bolt in a toilet? If I've gotten a brand new toilet it wouldn't even be this much and the fact that this new estimate was only sent out to me AFTER I reached out to have them fix the cosmetic part of the job is very concerning regarding their honesty towards what actually needed to be done. While Nick was here he had not mention one thing that needed further work regarding this toilet in question. I have no more trust for them. Do yourself a favor and ask for more quotes elsewhere before going with this company. In retrospect $800 to replace screws on three toilets and caulking it up is way more than fair. They have the audacity to further requesting another 5k plus to work on the two toilets? Why am I paying more than $800 to fix three toilets just to find out that's not enough money to get the job done done? Why thousands of dollars more was not the estimate right off the bat? This company is anything but honest and straightforward. read more

Parzival Plumbing advertises free estimates, and they collect a credit card up front just in case no one is available during the scheduled time. Totally understandable. But what they don't make clear upfront is the $208.12 "diagnostic charge" they hit you with after arriving to "diagnose" the issue--before even providing an estimate. Only half of this fee is credited toward the work they do, so you're essentially paying just to find out how much you'll pay. The good ole' bait-and-switch. Their technician Mike was good. He was polite, professional and seemed knowledgeable (which is why I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1). But here's the kicker: Four days later, the issue I hired them to fix remains unresolved. I understood there were no guarantees, but when we called back, they're insisting on charging another "diagnostic charge" to revisit the very problem they already "diagnosed." Instead of figuring out how to make the situation right, Alma seems more interested in being right. Their back-office billing practices are terrible. If this kind of experience is your idea of great service, by all means, give them a call. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration. read more

I am not one to normally do reviews. However the folks at Parzival were so wonderful I needed to! My water heater died on a Saturday. Calling around to different plumbers I got no answers, answering services that were not helpful and then I called Parzival Plumbing. Right away Alma answered, an actual person who was so nice and helpful! She scheduled a time for that day and sent Thomas and Shane out, at no cost! They were both knowledgeable and super helpful. They were great and gave me estimates everywhere from a small fix to replacing the unit with a tankless system. I decide to just replace a part on my 25 year older water heater. They did the work and then let me know that I could apply the cost to a new system if I decide to upgrade in the next 6 months. That made it and easy decision. I had a small issue after install and Shane came back that day to make it right, no complaints! After considering some things, we decided to upgrade to a new tankless water system. They talked me through the process made sure the model was good for the SoCal Gas rebate and was able to get it installed a couple of days later. Mike did a great job and walked me through every decision and gave me lots of knowledge on how to maintain the new system. My previous plumber has moved out of state, but I am happy to say I found a new plumber, Parzival! They earned my business with their great customer service. Price Gouging Alert... I'm so disappointed to leave this review. Yesterday my wife and 2 small kids noticed our water heater was out. We began calling local plumbers and Parzival came highly rated so we had them come over. I'm disappointed because my whole experience was pleasant - they came fast, the guys who arrived were professional and respectful. Everything was great until I saw their quote (and the more I slept on it the more upset I became). They wanted $4,500 to replace a water heater. Read that again - it isn't a typo. I immediately let them know I didn't appreciate this. I happen to formerly be in the construction business and understand how the time and materials work on a job like this. Disclaimer: our water heater is upstairs, and is inside of a closet. This makes it harder than a standard garage water heater replacement. To make sure I wasn't crazy or out of touch, this morning I got on the phone and called 3 more plumbers (I fully and transparently explained that they would have to walk up some stairs and work in a tight space). The highest bid I got was $1800 for all parts and labor. All licensed and all legit companies. I reached out to Parzival Plumbing on September 21st 2024 to schedule an appointment to give estimate for few plumbing repairs. They gave me an appointment date of 10/1 11:30 - 1:30 time slot. On the day of the appointment, I got a text that plumber got stuck for rest of the day and I need to reschedule to Thursday October 3 between 12 - 2 pm. I took the day off to be at home and at 12:18 pm (in the given time slot), I got another text that plumber is stuck and I need to reschedule for another 2 weeks. I am Wet disappointed with this company's lack of professionalism and disrespect to customer's time. Well, it's time for another review for Parzival Plumbing. Sorry it's late. About 4-5 weeks ago, our triplex in Costa Mesa didn't have hot water in the morning for the tenants. One call to Parzival was all it took. By 1PM, (very punctual), I had our Technician, "Nick" out to survey the problem. It took a bit of time, but he was able to make an exact diagnosis. We needed a "Water Heater Flow Sensor," replaced. (Who knew such a thing existed?). Once Nick figured out the problem, he needed to pick up that certain part. Fortunately there was a supply house in a nearby city, and Nick went in "hot pursuit" of that item for us. He returned quickly, was able to make the "fix" and we have had hot water eversince. We have been using Parzival Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs for years. They are so reliable, they've never let me down. They are not only reliable But very professional. Recently I had a leak in my water heater. I texted them in the morning before 8:00am and they had a technician there by 11:30am on a Saturday! That's amazing service. Benny the technician did a thorough inspection of the water heater and determined that unfortunately we had to replace the unit. I wasn't really shocked since the unit was over 10 years old and had never been maintained. He found the best deal for us and was able to go back to the shop to get supplies and the new unit and finish the install by 3:15pm the same day. Thank goodness for Parzival Plumbing and thank goodness for Benny. I'm not sure if they're the least expensive but the my are top quality and worth every penny. I needed something done at my house that this particular company didn't do so when I called the owner he went out of his way to talk about this specific type of service and what I should look out for and who he recommends in the area that does it better than others. The guy I spoke with was awesome, he literally went out of his way to make sure I knew the pros and the cons of this type of job and I got a feeling that the person on the other end of the phone must really truly did care about his clients.
