I hired Pure Movers to handle 3-mile move for a 4 bed/3 bath house into storage. - Pre-move: Customer service (based in LA) was cordial and super responsive. I did a virtual estimate via Zoom that went off without a hitch. I made sure to go over what items they would/wouldn't move, site-specific challenges, and if there was anything I could provide for the crew. Even after I reserved my moving date, I had several delays in getting keys to my new place and ended up having to store all my stuff in storage units temporarily, yet rescheduling was no hassle. I was given a new estimate right away. - Day of: The moving crew, led by foreman Mark, were all friendly and generally hustled to thoroughly wrap and efficiently stack everything. I mean it was like Tetris in there. They were a little rough on the hardwood floors and left a few dents/scratches as they wrangled the heavy furniture, but my floors are notoriously soft (no shoes, no pets allowed). I should have mentioned. They took about an hour for lunch, but per the estimate the breaks are deducted from the billable time. I'd consider using them again. read more

I was looking for movers in short notice, and I happened to find Pure Moving Company on Yelp. I read great reviews about them and decided to request a quote. A representative responded within 24 hours which was very convenient because I was in a time crunch. He gave me a quote which was very reasonable, and so I went ahead and scheduled a day for them to help me move. On moving day, we needed to move one bedroom in a flat and on the 2nd floor. Jeff and Jim showed up promptly, and they even called me 15 minutes prior to their arrival. Knowing San Francisco, parking was very limited, but they were very understanding. Jeff was gracious enough to go over the costs once more to make sure we were on the same page. The moving process was smooth sailing, and they were very fast. This is truly an honest and hard working company. I got a great deal from them and they were very responsive with every email and phone call. The day of our move, the 26ft truck and 3 guys came to move us out of our house and into our new one all within 5 hours. It did help expedite the process by boxing up our own things and breaking down all of our furniture. However, the movers are happy to do it for you if you'd like. We figured it'd save money and time to do it ourselves. Igor and his team were very courteous and professional. They never stopped to take a break. They always kept us in the loop about what they were doing. They wrapped all of our items with blankets, shrink wrap, and lots of tape to ensure nothing was damaged. Even when there was a slight accident that occurred, they took full responsibly and compensated us for it. We were still very happy with their service in the end. Upon arrival to our new house they put everything where it needed to be and cleaned up all the packaging. It was an easy and efficient move. Updated Review: Frank reached out to me individually to chat about the moving experience i had. I appreciated that he listened to my experience and accepted accountability for his team. He said that the team should have done a proper estimate of the space to ensure we would have gotten the right sized truck. In addition, our team of movers were apparently on a large move the day before and we should have gotten a team that was a little more refreshed. Either way, he took accountability for the shortcomings and offered his sincere apologies. I could tell that Frank's passion was ensuring that his customers felt heard and happy with their experience. Based on what I heard, my negative experience was not the norm. Other positive Yelp reviews seem to support this and I'm glad this is the case. Frank said that I could reach out to him directly for my next move and he will hand select the movers for me. Literally made moving easy. This is the best moving experience I've ever had. Constantine was super nice and very efficient. His helpers at both locations were also great, Vlad and a younger man. I did a long distance move, they were able to quote me a flat fee, were super responsive via email. And answered every question I had. Constantine and vlad were able to move my three seater couch from my 2nd floor to my first floor, by hoisting it over railings and carefully lowering it down. I have used Pure for all of my moves since 2013. In 2021, three going on four pandemic moves this week. I can't rave about Pure enough. Customer satisfaction is a company ethic through and through. The movers are thoughtful and considerate and maintain a friendly happy demeanor throughout, which is not easy. My most recent foreman offered *me* an icy bottle of water! On the rare occasion something goes amiss, a manager reaches out immediately and follows through to make it right. Nick and Frank are like family and they treat clients like family... uh, better than family! Moving usually means: grumpy smelly movers indifferently throwing around your fragile things, taking too long breaks, price double the estimate, and management you cannot contact and if you could, they don't care anyway. Greg and his team were overall pretty good. They showed up on time and handled all our items with care but we did notice some things after the fact that is making me change my previous 5 star review to 3 (more like 3.5) stars. (When wrapping up for the day, the team lead asked me to leave a review for them right then, as they were having a competition among teams internally) After leaving that review, we went back to the apartment they moved us from and noticed a pretty big scratch on the hardwood floor in our bedroom which I assume is from them moving the dresser, they completely forgot to pack up several items in the kitchen, many of the boxes they did pack for us were just labeled "stuff" (lol), we have a chunk taken out of the paint in our stairwell, and our bed was put together crooked. It was almost 11 hours from start to finish and they didn't complain at all, but were certainly not hustling to get the job done super quickly. They did take about 90 mins worth of breaks so actual moving time was closer to 9.5 hours. We were moving a one bedroom apartment with one flight of stairs into a new place with one flight of stairs and had maybe a handful of heavy pieces of furniture. All in all, our experience with them was fine and we'd possibly use them again, but hopefully we won't be moving anytime soon anyway! I will add that the customer service team who helped me schedule the move was great! We had to reschedule once due to COVID stuff and they were very accommodating. 5 stars for them! I cannot say enough about what a positive experience this was. I have moved five times in the last eight years, and this was by far, the smoothest move that I have had. From the easy estimate process, which included a zoom meeting with one of the team and we went around the house and showed them everything that would be moved and which things I would move on my own. This company offers you an estimate that will not go above the quoted price. Everything is clear and they are very transparent about that the estimate includes.... NO SURPRISE CHARGES! This is not something you get very often. In addition, they told me that about half of the people that use their service end up with a final price under the estimate, even if by a little. This was the case for me. It could not have been more helpful, given that the day after the move, I found out I needed new tires. The money I saved on the move covered half the cost of the tires. The team sent for movers and they were very pleasant and very helpful. I felt comfortable with all of them in the house as a single woman. Compared to my last move where the two movers smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and made me incredibly uncomfortable. We had to schedule a move in middle of a pandemic. It was not an easy decision to make but we had to do it because the pandemic stretched over 9 months now and it seemed never ending. Video quote was simple via face time and I received a written quote with numbers and terms via email within the hour. Scheduling the move was very simple via a weblink the quote email. On the day of the move, Paul and team showed up on time. They took safety precautions to limit Covid exposure. I still have not recovered from my experience with this company, over a year ago. They did not send enough helpers, despite an accurate description (from me) of what needed to be moved. I also warned them that due to condo regulations, my move had to be completed by 4 pm. For some reason, instead of simply moving my furniture, the 2 person team disassembled all of it and wrapped it in layers of plastic, which was bizarre and took hours. My move consequently stretched over 2 days (a 1 bedroom, 1000 sq foot condo took TWO DAYS to move). There was minor damage to several pieces of furniture. We needed a company to help us move from Fremont to San Jose. It didn't take much searching to find Pure Moving Company and all of its excellent reviews, so I filled out the request form. I heard back within an hour via email. Tad was so helpful and gave me a breakdown of pricing, timing, etc. We ended up hiring 5 guys and a truck, and I got TV insurance for one TV. I scheduled the move for the following Saturday (perfect timing for us). The day before our move, I secured a storage unit close to the house (for some of our extra furniture that wouldn't fit in our new, smaller home). I emailed Tad and asked what the fee would be to add an extra "stop" so that the movers could help us move things into our storage unit as well. Within 10 minutes I got a reply - no extra charge! It was all included within the hourly rate. On moving day, Ali and his team of four guys showed up promptly. We did a walkthrough of the house and I told him what items were going to storage and which ones would come to the house. He was friendly and easy to work with. The guys did a great job, and had plenty of wardrobe boxes and extra boxes to pack up some things I had overlooked. They were efficient, and we were on the road after just 3.5 hours. They did a great job moving everything in to the new home, and took excellent care of our things. Then I met them at our storage unit and they unloaded the remaining items in there. The whole thing took about 6.5 hours, and honestly, it was the best money I could've spent. Moving sucks, but Ali and his team made it less terrible. I absolutely will use this company again if we move locally. We have friends who are relocating to Campbell and I've already told them to use Pure Moving Company. It was a great experience.
