I contacted multiple other plumbers and they all charged $35-150 just to visit and give an estimate (they "waived" this fee if you chose to hire them, which I think is their strategy). Rain City Plumbing was able to come out and take a look at my shower quickly, and they gave me very clear and transparent estimates for how much it might cost. The two gentlemen who came by were uniformed, neat, and very polite and patient when explaining things to me. They were respectful of my home, and took off their shoes without me asking (when they needed to go further into a carpeted area to look at the back of my wall). They also followed up with me later to offer me a discount on the cost of parts. When I told them I was waiting to hear back from some of the other plumbers I had contacted, they were understanding and they actually recommended that I shop around and get quotes. I really appreciate that they were very willing to educate me as a new home owner, instead of trying to take advantage of me. While I didn't hire Rain City Plumbing to work on my job in the end, it was purely because I got a more competitive rate elsewhere. I still would highly rate Rain City Plumbing because of the great customer service I received. Thank you!

Update on second call! This time Brian came out, if you remember from the first post they had to…read moredescaled our Rinnai tankless water heater. According to Brian and many others, it's the best on the market. So, after the descaling we had low water pressure and we were still getting intermittent hot water and our unit was flashing a code 63. Code 63 means the water flow is low and a few things could be wrong. The number one issue was after descaling the line needed to be cleared from the little catch baskets. They did their part but more gunk from the descaling needed to clear the pipes. So, Brian turned the water off and pulled the little catch baskets again but only one had stuff in it and may have been the problem. But what really was the problem was our shower heads. Brian and Eric recommended we pull the pressure plug from the shower head. While Brian was here he gave great advice on codes for our Rinnai and the quality of water in our area. Our water pressure was much better but we were still getting intermittent hot water. So, following Eric, Brian and YouTunes advice and we pulled the pressure plugs from the shower heard. Now the water flows like the Snoquaimie Falls, hold smokes! But you know what, the water stays hot with no issues!!! So, if you're having this problem pull the shower head first plus and that should fix the problem. The cost for this was $0.00!

They wanted PAYMENT IN ADVANCE) i WAS AUTOMATICALLY set up with something they called a "membership" costing $100 that in turn gave me a "discount" and would put me at the head of the line if immediate work was needed in the future. I was NOT asked if I wanted that option. They sent another company "H2O Away" to do the clean up of water damaged insulation, etc. ( another $5,000) . After that was done All Purpose proceeded to do the re plumb. It is supposed to be a package deal including all new fixtures, faucets, etc. I didn't get new faucets except in the laundry and outdoors and they did NOT put down new moisture barrier in the crawl space. It only took them five hours to do the job because they didn't do everything they should have and they admitted it! All in all I found them unethical and sloppy in their business practice.

I was assured by both father (Greg?) and son, Brandon, that they would send me the revised estimate. Three days passed and I heard nothing from them. I called them 3 more times over the course of a week and a half and each time was assured they would send me the revised estimate ASAP. Well, y never got it. They basically strung me along and wasted my time. How unprofessional and disrespectful! If they couldn't or didn't want to do the job, why didn't they just say so? I'm really disillusioned. I wanted to use a local company, but they really let me down.

Fortunately, 2 Sons Plumbing (who initially came out to fix the plumbing issue) recommended Premier Water Removal for getting things dried out. Joshua was able to come out immediately following the incident (on a Sunday morning, too!), and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient (I asked a LOT of questions) and thorough in his assessment of the work needing to be done. Shortly after we talked, a team was able to come out and get to work removing cabinets, sealing off the affected area and getting their machines set up. I don't know all the names of the individuals that came out to our house, but I do recall Byron, Kyle, Eric and AJ (I think). Every single person was very professional and friendly. The removal and setup went far more quickly and cleanly than I expected. There were a few follow up visits, but these were always quick and again, they were very open to answer any questions I had. I want to call out that the communication across the company was excellent. The coordination between the estimator, customer service and the cleaning team was frictionless and I was never left hanging wondering what the next steps were. They always showed up promptly in the window provided (and always lead with a heads up call 20 minutes before hand), and always immediately followed up with our next appoint (Heather, on our calls and through email was also always very friendly and helpful). I'm sorry if you're in a situation where you need a water removal company, but I would highly recommend using Premier as it has been a great experience throughout a not-so-great ordeal.

The original installer was no longer around and it turned out they had made some mistakes in the installation causing the breakage of a part due to water and dust in the coolant because there was no filter dry installed. It was not an easy thing to find because it looked just fine at first. I had 2 other companies over to try and fix it but they could not find what was wrong and more or less abandoned me. Then I found 2 sons and I am so glad I did. 2 SONS sent Steven over and he really knows heat pumps.
