Last week, I called Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care and made an appointment for today to have the carpet cleaned and deodorized. Phil and Jerry left about an hour ago. Those two are miracle workers! What a difference. First, they treated the carpet with something that removes pet odors, then they steamed the filth away. Now the carpet looks and smells like I never had bad tenants! If you live in Central New Jersey and need your carpets cleaned, call Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care and request Phil and Jerry. They're simply nice guys that are professional, friendly, and most importantly, they do a good job. Unlike certain other carpet cleaning businesses, (I'm talking to you, Stanley Steamer) these guys don't pester you to buy add-on services that you don't need. The job is done at a reasonable price and it takes less than an hour if you have a small 600 sq ft apartment like mine. I don't know where this company's "home base" is, but I'm assuming it's in Monmouth or Middlesex County. If anyone can provide more information about location, hours, and/or website, be my guest. He is very considerate of your home and surroundings. He put his booties on over his shoes. The solution that he uses does not smell. After he finished the first room he puts down his fans that quickly dry the carpet. My carpets were basically dry when he was finished. He also put plastic squares under the legs of the furniture so not to ruin the carpet. I was so impressed by him. I will highly recommend him. Next I'm having him clean my tile floors.

I ended up here and now my rug looks like new. That's not the best part though. The owner was very responsive. He called me a few days after I dropped it off and asked if he could keep the rug a few more days because he wanted to wash it again to get the best result. I agreed and when I picked it up it was like getting a brand new rug. The cost was reasonable and the result was exceptional. This company is a keeper. Highly recommended.

Two hours later, they still hadn't finished and claimed they needed more money. They left two inches of water still sitting in the basement - they also left $200 richer. I don't know how they are at cleaning carpets... but they don't do water removal. They ripped off my mother, who is now in her 70s, and in 2009 was in her 60s. They took advantage of her.

Their estimate was unrealistic and deceptively low in order to get my business. My house was left dirty and unfinished. Even the rooms that were supposedly finished were not fully cleaned, and all the "mopped floors" in every room were still dirty! I ended up spending hours at my house afterwards cleaning what they were paid almost five hundred dollars to do! This company does not stand behind their work, even though on their website they have a Satisfaction Guarantee clause. When I complained about the dirty rooms, the manager never called me back to resolve the problem and they blocked me from calling their office. I recommend going with a reputable cleaning company.
