I contacted Pure Water to ask for a bid for a water system. Hunter was great and made an appointment for me. Luke came out and tested our water and found out we have a high level of chlorine. We decided to get a system for our whole house. Luke explained that once we had the system, we would notice how soft our water would become and we would get rid of the chlorine in our drinking water. We have been buying bottled water for many years and are looking forward to getting rid of plastic. Nick arrived recently to install our system and had everything completed in 3 1/2 hours. We are now enjoying our pure water from washing clothes and dishes with less soap to taking a bath or shower with a feeling of softness when you dry off. I am new to well water and moved into a house that had been vacant for some time. The water was black. Pure water came out and told me the system I had was bad and for about $8000 they can fix it. Like an idiot I agreed since the old system was from them. That's should have been the clue. Their system failed. Looking up the components they charge 3x the retail price of the products. It also isn't working. I had to replace additional components and the icing on the cake? Their "professional installation" included installing a jungle gym of pipes to accommodate the filter, air cat and softener. There are more pipe mazes because they didn't want to move them. I think they had a special on elbow connectors. Oh and I got a free $7 bag of salt for leaving a good review. I take it back. read more

We had this system for a few years. There is always something that we have to replace. Either this or that there's always something dies. Then it costs $100 or $200++ for them just to come out and tell you that now you owe extra hundreds dollars for this replacement. So expect at least once to twice a year extra $200 $300+++++ you will have to pay. I'm not sure it's worth it. read more

Ray has been fantastic since day one. Easy to communicate with, very informative / educational and gave us all of the options for us to choose from. Never felt pressure at all. We've had our new system for a few months now and absolutely love it. I was overcharged, lied to, poisoned, had to replace my pipes, and then they lied to me again on service calls on maintenance, poisoned AGAIN with ethylbenzene, a "cleaner" that is toxic, and not reccomended on septic because it poisons soil and water table and plants. I was also lied to and told by the tech peroxide, which is NOT toxic, would harm tank membranes, which is ALSO not true. Then they tried to charge me another $1,800 to fix the problem of poisoning me for a year with acid and copper in my water from the arsenic tank which destroyed my hot water copper pipes. The tech told me it was a problem with older homes with copper pipes After, it destroyed my pipes and poisoned me and my animals with acid and copper. I confirmed it by going to other testing people, after being ignored for months, complaining to them I was seeing copper residue in my water, and noticing my goats didn't want even the filtered water from the r/o, they only wanted distilled water, because the arsenic filter had turned my naturally alkaline well water to acid, and was melting my copper pipes into the water. Rip off report: I was given a quote of 10k on the salesperson's tablet. No paperwork was given. My friend had refered me to them. He was supposed to get a 100 dollar referral fee from their promotion card. I was given a 10% off card. After they installed a water softener, r/o , arsenic and rock breaker filter, I was then billed $11,400, and told 10k was a parts only estimate, not a quote. The salesperson repeatedly lied, and staff called me a liar, and since I had no paperwork proof I was told they stood by their salesperson. I then submitted the 10% off card which they then claimed was "already built into their quote. Today, after getting ripped off overcharged, called a liar, poisoned with acid and copper. Lied to, poisoned again with ethylbenzene, (poisoned again) lied to again, attempting to upsell me again for poisoning me for a year and costing me plumber re-piping fees, they are coming to filter the acid that's been poisoning us that they overcharged me to do and called me a liar for. They are only coming to attempt a fix because I hired outside companies to investigate my water situation. Maybe they don't have low star reviews here because the clients they ripped off died before they could figure it out or write a review. If negative stars were an option Is choose them. Water filtration company or eugenicists is the real question. read more

I had a water softener with reverse osmosis system installed. The system seems to be functioning properly now, the parts seem to be of quality construction, and I am satisfied with the improvement in water quality at my house. However, given the amount of money I paid I would have expected the company to be a little more on point. It took Pure Water Systems three weeks and two technicians to complete the install that was scheduled to be a 4 hour process. In addition, I had to personally troubleshoot and correct the RO system not functioning this morning after the reservoir tank ran out, due to the booster pump being plumbed in backwards. Fairly minor issue and I get it, mistakes happen. I know I could have called them yet again and they would have sent someone out to correct the issue, but would have been without a fully functional system going into week four of what was supposed to be a four hour install. Now onward to the three week install. I don't recall the technicians names but both were decent, professional, upfront guys. The initial install seems to be done well, took him 8 hours to install and he forgot to cover up the crawl space access on the side of the house, but no worries, we all have off days. Upon wrapping up his install I noticed there was no booster pump installed for the RO system that the sales guy mentioned was necessary, so I asked the tech. He reviewed his work order and was upfront that he had no knowledge of it but would follow up with his superior. He contacted his boss, upon which seemed to also have no knowledge of it. I contacted the sales guy directly and he apologized for the mixup and would personally deliver it that day so the tech could install it. I receive a follow up phone call from the sales guy, that their shop did not have any booster pump power cords so he could not get the pump out to my house today but would make sure it was installed the following Friday. That next Friday rolls around, no contact from the company, no calls for scheduling, so I call the company office and they have no knowledge of the pump being put in that day. They are aware of the issue but the proper parts aren't available as of yet and was informed that the parts were on a 2-4 week backorder. Definitely a stretch from the initial timeline I was told that began the booster pump issue. Two weeks go by, the sales guy called and informed me that the part would be installed this Friday at 3pm. Friday at 3:30pm, no call, no show. Once again, I call the sales guy, he informs me the tech is still on another job but will let me know when he's on his way. The technician called about 4pm showed up about 20 minutes later and got the job done, as I mentioned before the pump was plumbed backwards and I had to correct the issue this morning but at least the its finally finished. My experience with Pure Water Systems is that they seem to have quality parts and knowledgeable people, however there is a clear breakdown in communication across their management, scheduling/install, and sales staff that created a lot of unnecessary headache for how much you can expect to pay for one of their systems. read more

They misrepresented cost, the filter membranes are "proprietary". It is costly to add salt and potassium, unhealthy because it puts constant salt into the water, probably benzynes in the filter membrane but they won't give that information, and if you ask too many questions they dump you as a client. In 2021 we had a whole house water system installed in our Verdi home by pure water systems. The sales representative Luke Riley misrepresented what the units would look like and the amount of space would be required in our mud room. By the time the installation team showed up it seemed too late to start over and we went ahead and had the systems installed. we have no complaints with the installers. We have had the system serviced annually by Pure. The first time we were told it was going to be about $200. the bill we were presented was about $600. This year we again scheduled service and were given a window of 10:00am to 2:00 pm. this appointment was confirmed with both text and email. At 3:30 we received a call from the technician saying he was on his way. We told him not to bother. because I had already called Water Unlimited. Water Unlimited installed and has serviced our under the sink reverse osmosis system and we have been very pleased. I will continue to use them for all my water needs. I first hired Pure Water Systems in early fall 2018 to install a whole house water filtration system including an ultraviolet system. I have had no issues with the system other than at certain points, the system would stop working because the filters become clogged - the filters doing their job, of course. My only complaint and it's not much of a complaint is that they are booked solid. I have learned to book appointments 6-12 months in advance. They are busy and congrats to them that they are successful :) Darn happy. read more
