This set is fresh I just had to go get them fixed because Mimi had done my first set but where terribly wrong some where longer then others some the majority where bumpy . I usually go to Emma because I love her work she's the only reason why I give this place a 1 star but she was busy . So I trusted Mimi to do my set . Never again ! I contacted Mimi and let her know that my set was terribly wrong so I came in and got them fixed by Emma on Friday and by Saturday both nails fell off . I contacted the owner Mimi and her only response was (they can fix them but I would get charged) .... This was in a period of less then 4 days first and second set . I've been a customer for years and I will not be returning . I'm very disappointed of how Mimi has no experience in customer service or anything in that matter . I realized that she only has 2 workers working with her at some point it was just her and Emma working. Her business has gone down so much . You rarely see anyone getting their nails done and it makes more sense to me why she has lost so much business. Customer service & satisfaction is very important in any business. I do not recommend this place . Save your money and time . I'm sure this place won't last long because of how terrible it's been. I give this place a year of business before they close this place .
I got the regular pedicure with callus removal- it costed $26. It came with a sugar scrub and a hot stone massage. The salon chairs also have a massage function :) very happy!
Never again. No costumers was in but still rushed. I told 3 times slow down you are hurting me . Didnt listen . She cut my finger. Messed up my shape. Edges. And left all cuticle....this photos is right after the complete manicure. Does this look complete ? Terrible

I took my daughters here today to get their nails done and I'm not going to complain. They did a fairly good job but the price was more than what I expected. The place is clean which is good and the place is basically what the name is. The whole place is purple which is my 16 yr old daughter's favorite color. I gave a four star because when we walked in the owner was working on a customer and it sounded like she was getting frustrated with her because there was a misunderstanding and a language barrier and she told us it was going to 10-15 minutes for someone to work on my girls but we ended up waiting for 30 minutes. Other than that it was a good experience.
I was really skeptical about coming here because the advertisements outside looked too good to be true. I thought something that price probably wouldn't have good quality. Until one day I saw a colleague with amazing eyelashes and that's when it all changed. She raved about this place and I was shocked because it was the one I always passed by on my way to work. I've had mink lashes done a couple of times from different people and places and they were ok no complaints except for the fact that it cost an arm and a leg. I figured my friend tried Purple Sea Spa and had a great experience so why not? It isn't going to hurt because the prices were so cheap. Long story short, great service and results. Mimi did both my sister-in-law and my lashes today and it was professional, comfortable and the results were amazing. I have extremely SHORT, SPARSE, PRACTICALLY NONEXISTENT natural lashes (Asian curse) and she was able to blend the lashes in with my real ones and it looks so good and so full and natural. I originally came in set on getting the $35 dollar 3 in 1 extension ones but decided on getting the mink for $75 which is STILL a bargain. They are super soft I can barely feel them on and she did such a great job and didn't try to pressure me in spending more than I originally planned she showed my options and the differences between them all and let me choose whatever I felt was best for myself. I highly recommend Mimi! Tell your friends, your sister, your mama, and your boyfriends mamas mama. Tell them all!

They offer water which is nice... but was offered an open one.. on top of my last and final experience here, I just got a basic pedi with ONE broken nail to fix and they kept me there for 2.5 hours because they kept hopping around like headless chickens. Please don't waste your money here.
I'm warning you now, this place is terrible. The first time I came here I guess I got lucky, but this time I am beyond frustrated with the service here. I really had to get my nails done and my usual spot was all full so I thought coming here would be a good idea since the first time went over fairly well unfortunately I was wrong. I come in they seat me immediately and start to get to work. Problem 1: the woman doing my nails didn't know how to take off powder acrylic properly. She started by trying to peel it off mangling one of my nails in the process and I had to tell her to use the little saw tool and I really shouldn't have to tell someone how to do their job. Problem 2: she completely misshaped one of my nails and I had to tell her multiple time to fix it until it was decent. Problem 3: she didn't paint all the way down to my cuticle on a couple nails which was just an annoyance. I got them done yesterday and the pictures I'm posting are from less than 24 hours after getting them done they look like crap and I'm passed the point of irritation. I call them and they tell me to come in, right as I walk in I tell them why I'm here so the owner asks to see my nails then proceeds to argue that it's the color that was used and not that it's a bad job. Honestly, I would be a little less agitated if they could at least own their mistakes and apologize but no instead she wants to sit there and argue in front of other customers in the store. After a couple of minutes of her talking at me I cut her off and asked "are you going to fix them" and she said yes so I sat and waited there until they grew the balls to sit me down and fix the mess they made.

Damn the fact that they are so close to my house! I was in a pinch and I t is the only reason I returned. The technician went in to clean around the nail bed and cuticles, it hurt the entire time. I even asked her to stop. Not even 24 hrs later here I am in Vegas with what is most likely an infection on my big toe. I've attached photos of both feet for comparison. How am I going to wear heels?
Nice services offered. My two daughters, my granddaughter and I came in and saw the large "CASH ONLY" sign, so we let the gal who greeted us know that we would be back after we got cash. When we got back, i then noticed they had a bank card machine. I asked if they accepted bank cards, I was then told, "Yes, Visa". My question/comment then was, "why do you have a sign that says cash only? " That was a bit frustrating because it would've saved us a trip around the neighborhood looking for an ATM. Otherwise, nice nail/salon establishment and I would definitely come back. A large variety of pedicure (and other) services are offered and the inside of the building is surprisingly nice.
Came here on a rainy afternoon after a quick search on yelp. I was a bit skeptical because it was tucked away in alum rock. The building has few paved parking spaces and the rest is on a dirt road. The building a purple (hence the name). As I open the door there is a lady with a single table up front which I'm assuming she's the manager or owner. The rest of the tables are behind her in a row. There are about ten stations. All technicians were busy and very talented. You can tell which ones were good because they had people waiting for them. My. Nail technician was oanh. I asked for Chrome acrylic nails with coffin shape. I was charged $35 which is a great price for acrylic, shaping , sparkles,and chrome. It's been 6 weeks and my nails are still intact!

Dishonest/ shady/ deceptive. I was expecting to pay $23 for a manicure which is the price listed on a huge sign at the entrance. When I went to pay, the lady said, $35! I told her that the sign says $23 and her response was, "we haven't used that price in a long time." Well then, CHANGE THE PRICE ON THE WALL! Be honest upfront about the price. I feel like I was robbed. How do I know that she didn't just make up a different price on the spot because she thinks I can afford it? This is an updated review. Came here to fix my nails because a different salon left them so thick and ugly. Anyways, i booked my appointment with Cathy again. And she did an unbelievably amazing job. She pays attention to the details and takes pride in her nail work. Such a great nail technician! The rest of the employees at purple sea nails are just as talented! Purple sea nail spa is very relaxing and a quiet spot if you're looking to treat yourself for a spa day. If you want to Support small businesses during covid...this is a perfect spot to support! I called for a manicure told I was gonna wait 10min ...had to wait about a hour.I asked for a gel manicure and they are already peeling ...not even a week with having them. THE SIGHN SAYS 23$ but upfront it's 35$ a manicure. read more

It's not everyday you see a purple building, so I had to yelp and see what services were offered here. I was surprised by the 5 star reviews and hate to be the one to break the perfect streak. But when my polish selection only includes Perfect Match choices (where is the OPI and Essie?!) and my nails chip after just two days, that's not good quality. Regular polish for me always lasts at least five days. Maybe the gel and artificial services are better since that's majority of their pictures on here? =( I will say that the pedicure was one of the best I've ever had. The massage chairs are a lot nicer than some Willow Glen and Palo Alto salons I have been to. Includes two cup holders and different chargers for your cell phone! The deluxe pedicure is a nice treat that I would come back for. Do not be fooled by the location- there is plenty of parking on the side of the building and more spaces in the back. read more

Came in for the first time & left with satisfaction! That usually never happens lol. I made an appointment with Mimi (owner) but didn't get to see her till 30 mins later because she was with another client. I didn't mind waiting because it was still early in the day and I was in no rush to get anywhere. Mimi was so sweet and welcoming. She did my coffin nails perfectly. She gave me the length and shape I wanted. I am very picky when it comes to my nails. If there are bubbles or even a tiny bit of lint or something, it bothers me A LOT. Usually I would go home & file my nails again because they're uneven or slanted, but for the first time ever, I didn't have to do that! Very impressed(: I finally found my go to person & I don't mind waiting on her because she gives me the perfect nails. My boyfriend didn't know they were fake till I told him! Even though I get fake nails, I want them to look natural instead of really long and obvious. read more

They really take care of you here and take their time doing your nails. The guy that did my nails definitely paid attention to detail as I saw him wipe off the polish on three of my nails and redo them. That's really good customer service if you ask me!! They are all very sweet and kind and do very good work. Though I didn't know they charge $3 extra to take off your previous gel nails. So really it's $23 for gel manicure. They have a deal right now for $18 pedicures and "$20" gel manicure. Pretty sweet deal! Probably the best gel manicure I've gotten. I'm pretty rough with my hands sometimes and I am very low maintenance so it is nice to see everything still in tact after several days. Will definitely be coming back!! read more

Today, I decided to get my nails done before I went to work. The doors were open a couple of minutes before 9:30. As I wondered in, I didn't really know what to expect since it was my first time there, but the gentleman, Bao Nguyen, who was settling in asked me what I needed today. I told him I wanted a gel manicure and he said it was no problem. (Gel manicure has a special for $20 right now. The regular price is $25. Bao didn't tell me until afterwards but it didn't really bother me). Although it took him about 20-30 minutes to finish my manicure, he did wonders! I didn't expect him to care so much about my dry fingers haha but he managed to cut off all my dead tough skin. I was, and still is, surprised he did so great bc my fingers are incredibly dry and peeling. Also, I appreciate that he was detail oriented. He kept comparing me nails with the others, making sure they were all similar. He even changed the nail polish brand 3 times bc it wasn't coming out smoothly. So, I can definitely say I was impressed today with Bao. He knows what he's doing. I'm used to getting my gel manicures done in Mountain View. There aren't any bubbles, cracks, unevenness, etc. I have to admit, he didn't file down my nails to make them even, but I told him I wanted to keep my nails long. Also, for some fingers, it isn't as clean and sharp by the cuticles like it should be but that was because I was in a hurry to get to work. My experience ended with Bao giving me a mini arm-massage which felt pretty nice bc he incorporated a heated rock & oil/lotion! Overall, I say give them place a chance. I got my nails done for $30 ($20-gel mani + $1-transaction fee, + $9 tip). I stayed for about 45-50 minutes. I am very impressed and would recommend him to anyone. read more

10/10 do not recommend. I went in for a pedicure( I really only needed a color change ) the shape I went in with was fine, if anything a little filing is all I really needed. I'm not sure what her name was, but she cut the sides of my nails to give me a complete different shape. The nails she cut look too small for my toes. They're not even straight & it is clearly noticeable so I honestly don't think she cares about doing a good job. She cut my big toe so bad when she was pulling off the piece of nail that she was cutting from the side, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Total waste of 40$ read more

I came to Purple Sea nail salon several times. Every nail technicians here are good and nice. I usu get pedicure and shellac manicure. They are very good at customer service. They have never said no or made me feel like I was asking too much for designs. I always love my nails after. My nails always last over 3 weeks without chipping. The shop is clean, phone charging stations, comfortable chairs. Friendly staff, everyone is so nice, they offer drinks, make you feel valued The price is very decent and affordable. read more

This place is great! I'm so glad I checked YELP! to find a pedicure placed close to home. Yen worked on me and she was very conscientious and gentle. My Deluxe Pedi included hot stone massage, hot wax, mud treatment, and hot towels. It was fabulous! The outside is not inviting, but the inside is clean, bright, and happy. p.s. This place is an absolute JOKE, I would give zero if it let me. Not only did the "nail tech" nip one of my fingers (forgivable), but she also couldn't do what I asked for! So I settled on a easier set of nails, which She also epicly messed up, horrificly ugly. Told them I wasent happy, and to give up and just go over with a dark colour to get it over with. So I end up with a basic set I SETTLED for, and guess What? 2 days later it chipped. Also I had to pay full price for the epic saga of screw up that was getting them done. Also my friends gel nails ended up THICK as hell. We both hate the work. What a rip off. Don't waste you're time ladies! read more

There are no words to express how terribe this place is. If anybody would mention going here i would immediately tell them to not go. Not only was our trip there the most uncomfortable experience, but also the worst. By far this is my worst experience at a nail salon. The women who worked on my mother and I were terrible. Rude, and the worst quality work. Asked for square nails and got slanted nails. Did not listen to my requests at all or from my mother. Ripped us off by not giving the claimed services, served other people who came in after us.. And the absolute worst part. Is the unsanitary conditions. Dont be fooled by the plastic wraps for the pedis, their instruments are NOT cleaned. Likely because of how busy they get, but either way not a valuable excuse, they didnt have time to clean them. Because about a week or two later, i got an INFECTION. The side of my nail, the cuticle, has been swollen, red, throbbing and sensitive. And just today as we speak, white/green liquid came out. So please, if you are considering coming to this place, remember that this place is NOT sanitary and that my FIRST TIME here i got an infection. I dont want beef with anybody, just know im pissed for the service, quality, and sanitary of this place. Key word. Unsanitary. read more

I decided to get my nails done pretty last minute and they were really accommodating though I did not make an appointment. Some places are extremely rude about last minute bookings, so I was happy to not have been "Pretty Woman"-d out of there. I got my gel manicure done by a super sweet lady named Jenny. She was really nice, and did a phenomenal job. Sometimes gel manicures can end up a little blobby if the manicurist doesn't pay attention to how much gel they've already put on my little nails but she honestly paid really close attention to detail and I couldn't be happier. The facilities were squeaky clean and all new. I am definitely coming back. read more

I'm a little upset with the service but I am happy with my nails. First, I called to see how much they charge to take off acrylics and nothing else ($7). I felt iffy because that's a bit expensive BUT they are ridiculously close to my house so I went for it. I had Michelle as my nail technician. She was sweet and attentive. My pinky's acrylic nail was a bit of a hassle and my nail bed ended up being a little torn. I asked for an overlay for that pinky which was misunderstood as a overlay for all of the nails and an acrylic for my pinky. Once we cleared that misunderstanding, we just left the acrylic on my pinky and moved on without the overlay(s). What really threw me off is that they still charged taking off my acrylic nails even when I got my nails done. Usually, I don't have to pay the price to take off the nails if I end up getting a mani but I guess things are done differently here. The gel mani ($20) + one acrylic nail ($3) + taking off my set ($7) = $30 total, plus $1 transaction fee and $3 tip, so $34. Overall, Michelle did an amazing job on my nail, my cuticles are super clean, and every side of my nail is covered evenly. Also, they have a BOMB ass color selection. From nudes, to sparkles, to pastels, etc. I will be back! read more

I love this place! I always get my nails done by CATHY she is so sweet and always listens to what I ask, MiMi is also someone who does very good nails. Once I find someone I like I will not go to anyone else, therefore I don't know how the other manicurist are. But Mimi & Cathy never disappoint. I have had my lashes done here, which I will say they didn't work out for me and were not my favorite but MiMi had no problem taking them off for me with no charge, some people can catch an attitude or just give you looks but she had no problem doing it. Also my friend had to go back to fix something on hers the next day and Michele did hers they had no problem fixing her situation either. BTW MICHELE IS SUPER SWEET TOO! On the other hand ANOTHER friend got her lashes done there by MiMi and absolutely loved them! They lasted awhile too. (1by1 $75 -- 3by1 $35) *The Pedicures are great *My mom got a Facial and LOVED IT *Im always so relaxed there *I always receive great customer service when I am there. read more
