I've been coming to purple yoga since late December 2024! I was really just trying to just do a free intro class to join some friends and I ended up liking the after feeling so much I started getting the unlimited pass so I can go as much as I can whenever I was free. There was a time I was going 4-5 times a week before work. I love that they have clean restrooms and showers. Restrooms in the ladies room at least has body lotion, pads, tampons, QTips, hairdryers and plastic bags for your dirty clothes if you want. The showers have body wash shampoo and conditioner that smells so good. Any time of the day I go I see someone cleaning in there. After each class an Instructor cleans the floors before the next class starts. They have hair ties in the front you can have if you forgot one! They even sell clothes! Have yoga matts yoga blocks and towels to rent I believe. They make it very convenient to go with hours all throughout the day and even have classes for $15 for people who just want to drop in. They even had a referral contest and I ended up winning second place ! They offer retreats and sound baths as well and host events even for families. They have this location one in Long Beach and Huntington Beach ! I've only gone to this location because it's closer.

I have been a loyal member at purple yoga since 2018. This place has been there for me through the years and I could not be more grateful to all the instructors and amazing community this place has been to me. I love both locations (Long Beach & Fullerton) and the instructors are the best in all of LA/OC especially Danny, Alex, and Bella. Shoutout to all the front desk staff who are always so helpful and put a smile on my face. It's a blessing to have this studio in our area and I have grown so much in my practice since the beginning days when I couldn't touch my toes :) thank you Purple fam!!!

Can I wear Yoga socks? I really don't want to go barefoot

Hi Franco, Yes. Yoga socks should offer good traction but regular sock won't work well. Please let…

Do you require to wear a mask?

Only if you chose to. Before rejoining for the year I had a wonderful conversation with Rose and her explaining the air filtration. As a teacher, I feel comfortable and confident about my safety and if you choose to wear one during class you may.❤️

I'm new to Yoga, do you offer yoga for beginners?

Hi I have gone through purple yoga before and I am wondering what the name is of the mat that you guys have in store for rent/purchase?

They are Manduka mats

We have mats for rent ($3) and for sale. Thanks…

I have no flexibility whatsoever, will the intro sessions be beneficial?

Yes, because yoga is not about flexibility but is about the mind + body connection and flexibility is not a pre-requisite. Over time you might grow to be more flexible as you develop your practice :)

Does purple yoga offer any "workout" classes that use weights while incorporating yoga?

We do, but only Tuesday 12:15pm. Steel Mace is the name of the class, and it’s more of a functional…

Just took an intro Pilates class here this morning with Aaliyah and loved it! If you're new to…read morereformer Pilates or want a class that's more focused on form and stretch, this is for you. They do fill up the entire class so the instructor isn't demonstrating how to do the moves, but she does walk around and correct form/help you transition. I appreciated this class was so much more focused on making sure you nail the basics because too many trendy studios try to "push" students do harder moves than their core is ready for. I already weight lift so I like Pilates to help me recover and practice good form (especially because I'm prone to not engage my core enough when I lift!). I'm sure their non beginner class is more challenging, but this was a perfect, restorative Saturday morning work out. I also liked the intro course because there were students from all age groups and no pretentious vibe that I've had at other studios where students judge if you're in aesthetic clothes or not (people ranged from cute fits to comfy gym clothes so you can totally do both here). Looking forward to coming back whenever I need a good recovery stretch and to perfect my core strength!

I like their Reformer classes that uses the machines like Pilates. It is difficult if you haven't…read moredone Pilates but the instructor tells how the correct form. It really engages the whole body and working one muscle group. For Reformer: bring grip socks or else you'll have to buy it from the studio. I also took a yoga class. You can grab 2 yoga mats to make it more cushioned. The class itself was ok, I'm new to yoga so some of the exercises were hard esp holding the position with your abs. For Yoga: don't need to bring anything . They provide yoga mats What kept bothering me was the amount of ants on the ground near where I was. It was super bothersome. I couldn't even concentrate on the class. Even though I killed some ants, there were still more crawling on my mat and around my area. I told the instructor who said she'll let the owner know. I hope the owner cleans the studio. Parking is around the building and free parking. The location of the entrance of the building is on the street side so you'll have to walk to the street side to enter the place.

Cara's studio is perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike. The boutique setting allows…read moreher to give you a more personalized experience. I've tried bigger chain yoga studios and large classes. I never knew if I was doing anything correct or making progress. Cara gives instant feedback and encouragement throughout her classes and workshops. What I love most about her classes is how she challenges you, but doesn't push you (if that makes sense?) She will challenge you to try new things and connect with your body, but doesn't judge or make you feel bad if your mind/body isn't ready. My other favorite aspect of Cara's classes is the strength she helps you build. There is always a purpose to her flows. This has helped me improve on poses/movements I formally thought impossible. Cara offers regular class, workshops, private trainings, outdoor yoga (summer time) and occasionally partners with local business for fun yoga outings. You should definitely check her out, she is super easy to talk to, and is caring and compassionate towards all who enter her space :)

I am so glad I found Cara Fraser and her great little studio. I do yoga all over but one thing you…read moredon't really get from the big classes is individual attention or a break down of particular poses so I was happy when I found her intimate studio with personal attention. She offers affordable workshops that focus on pose series (we are on arm balancing) and building blocks (hello, do you know how often I wondered if I was actually doing a pose correctly?). Well, she breaks them down to their basics and walks you through them so you feel more confident in doing them. Cara has a casual, relaxed and welcoming vibe. She doesn't take things too seriously and had a great sense of humor. She really knows her stuff and I am learning so much. Check out her workshops, you won't be sorry.
