I have been getting my hair done next to this restaurant for four years now and I have been meaning to get a reservation, but it takes so long and I just never stuck with it. Finally, I was determined and I booked out probably 2 1/2 months in advance.... And ended up going in the dead of winter. I know that I would've enjoyed my experience much more if we could've sat in the garden, that's probably an excellent vibe. I'm a spicy marg lover so I tried-new person same old mistakes-it didn't really strike me as spicy but more so smoky and I wanted spicy. We did the khao yum-it was unique, I think I would really have loved this. If it was hot out it seems like it would be very refreshing and light and more ideal for the spring and summer and like I said we went in the dead of winter. I did the beef tenderloin as my main and it was good, it wasn't too spicy, had a nice flavor, but I don't know that I would order it again. An absolute must visit. I was lucky to get in without a reservation being a solo traveler and was sat at the bar. First of all the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous with a center atrium area. Every server/host that I encountered was welcoming and friendly. I ended up getting the Khao Soi with beef cheek and it was insanely tasty. The meat was fall apart tender and the spices were spot on. The bartender and I chatted for most of the meal about other restaurants I needed to try in the area while I was visiting on business. This place is a culinary and hospitality delight. The ambiance here is a 10/10! The inside seating was very modern but cozy with beautiful plants everywhere. The outdoor garden/patio looks like a really cool space, and we would love to come enjoy this when it's warm! Also, all the indoor seating looks to be in little booth alcoves, or at least have cozy chairs. The service was great, we never had to wait for water or refills, our waiter was checking in diligently! As for the food, I really enjoyed some dishes, and would maybe pass on some others. We started with the 17 ingredient salad- happy we tried it because of all of the interesting flavors but might not get again. We also got lemongrass meatballs which I believe were $20 and came with two small meatballs. The flavors were delicious, but what you get for the price was a little disappointing. We absolutely loved the sweet potato roti! It was creamy and sweet and spiced perfectly, with really yummy roti to dip. Lastly we ordered the crispy shrimp, which came with rice. Great destination. The food is somewhat of a hip/modern take on Thai cuisine, with classic Thai dishes presented with somewhat of a twist. The space and service is very up-scale. It's essentially a special occasion or date night type destination. That all makes for a great experience, but you also need to be prepared to make reservations well in advance. As an additional note, they do a decent job making vegetarian options available. The ambiance and service are great. The restaurant is quite large and the garden seating has warm lighting and lots of greenery. The appetizers were my favorite part of the meal. The giant squid was so tender and didn't have any of the usual tough chewiness that you get with squid. The green sauce paired perfectly with the meat. The 17 ingredient salad is tossed table side and has so many textures and flavors which makes for a rlly refreshing and yummy salad. I especially liked the crispy rice on top. The khao soi's beef cheek is cooked so that it just melts in your mouth. The actual curry in the khao soi could have been a bit more flavorful but the meat is really the star of the show. I woke up early a month ago and was able to snag dinner reservations at Pusadee'sfor yesterday! Our server was patient and lovely and ambiance is fantastic. The drinks we got were beautifully balanced and delightful - peep that adorable elephant glass. The food is phenomenal and the sauces on these dishes were so flavorful and well done.  My favorites were the salad, the beef cheek, lamb shank, the One Steep at a Time drink, and Bubbz in the Clubz. I generally don't repeat dishes but I've had pretty much all of these before and had to have them again. A group of girlfriends and I were lucky enough to score a Thursday night dinner at Pusadee's Garden, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We started off with the pork belly, pork tenderloin, and 17-ingredient salad. The pork belly melted in our mouths, the pork tenderloin was served on perfectly crispy baguette slices, and the salad had a complex but delicious blend of savory flavors. For our entrées, we split the crispy shrimp, the beef cheek, the jungle curry, and the lamb shank. Every single piece of meat brought to our table was so tender that it was falling apart! The jungle curry sauce was perfect for those at the table who didn't have a high spice tolerance, and I will be dreaming of the creamy, slightly sweet sauce in which the lamb was served in the days to come. We ordered one of each of the desserts on the menu, and I don't know if I can pick a favorite! The ice cream was the perfect level of sweetness and had great texture, but the sweet sticky rice dessert was delicious as well. All of our food was brought out in a timely manner, and we never waited for a refill on our water. Their staff are all attentive and friendly. Pusadee's is definitely more of a 'special occasion' place to get dinner, but I am already looking for my next "special occasion" so I have a reason to go. read more

I've been fortunate to dine at many of the "best" restaurants in Pittsburgh, but this one has gotta be in my top three! Between all the dishes we ate, I think nearly every flavor on the palate was consumer... fresh, savory, creamy, spicy and sweet and more. Every bite seemed to be perfectly curated to be the best bite... and you wanted more! There wasn't one thing we tried that didn't have some level of *wow* factor. A favorite was the Massaman Curry, the 17 ingredient and the pork belly. I've "eaten" that curry and lamb in my head every few days since I've been there! The server was excellent - walked us through each menu item as it was our first visit. And last, but not least, they have created the most perfect and relaxed dining atmosphere. Came here as a walk in. Just know that if you're friends with the hostess you will get sat right away as a walk in and passed over. Grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting. Watched them add other people to list. Her friend walked in, conveniently they had a table for three available. I went to look and it was a booth that could have sat 4. There was a group of 4 waiting for a table. They were there for a bit. The drinks were subpar. I'm sorry you just don't conveniently have a table for 3 available for your walk in friends. I had been here before and it was lovely so when I had a colleague coming from abroad, I thought I'd bring a group of 8 other faculty for dinner. I went online to make a reservation and apparently you couldn't make a reservation for 6 or more but they encouraged walking in. The 8 of us arrived and 1)they said they'd have to split us up into 2 groups of 4 at separate tables in separate rooms! I declined. 2)they got us.a booth for 6 and refused to serve us until 2 colleagues left! The wait staff literally STALLED serving us UNTIL we were reduced to 6! The pumpkin curry must be good, because I went back here this fall and got it again. It really is a lovely bowl full of vegetable goodness (cauliflower, brussels sprouts, basil, mushrooms, and of course pumpkin); I added some chicken on top to make it a blow-out meal. Kudos that the chicken add-on was thighs; dark meat has so much flavor. I will probably come back every fall for my Pusadee's pumpkin curry. My wife started off with the 'Give it a Chai' cocktail. She thought it was excellent; chai flavor with some lemon/ginger zip. She then got a dish with beef cheek, egg noodle, and some yellow curry. Went here with my girlfriend for an anniversary dinner a few months back. We were not able to snag reservations (they fill up in 2 seconds essentially), but we actually managed to get seated on a Saturday evening around 8pm or so (after waiting for 20 minutes). The food here is amazing to put it mildly, definitely lives up to the hype. The restaurant feels very airy and upscale also, has very tasteful decor. Definitely a great spot for special occasions. I got the pork belly hin Lay (4.5/5) and split the khao yum (4.5/5) and spicy tom yum soup (4/5)! They mix the khao yum at the table for you after listing off the 17 ingredients, and it is definitely a unique item with a good flavor! The pork belly had more meat in it than I thought it would, and it is well seasoned! The tom yum soup was good but a little expensive for what it was. The service was great (4/5)! Our waters never went empty for more than two minutes, and our server was nice! The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated and fancy (5/5), and the garden looked incredible! We have eaten here twice since moving to Pittsburgh, once in the garden, which I would highly recommend if you have the option. Everyone always says they can never get a reservation, but we have always just showed up right around their opening time of 5 and are able to get in. They are always very kind to us, even though we bring our toddler with us. It doesn't seem like they want children here (high chairs aren't even offered). However, we have never felt unwelcome by bringing our daughter with us, she enjoys the food along with us! While we weren't able to get a table outside (if you have a chance to, the garden ambiance is amazing), we got a nice cozy table right next to a floor to ceiling window next to the garden, so it still felt like we were outside. I really like the vibes here. The vibes here are beautiful- middle garden (only open when warm) and the warm but low lighting with the aesthetic. Quiet dinner place which I really like makes for a more date vibe. Me and Angelina just held hands and yapped a lot LOL. The morning glory/bok choy dish was actually good- I usually avoid vegetables like the plague but this made was yummy and I actually ate it. The pork belly was so so tender and flavorful as well.
