This is my second time coming here. The first time I got a reservation but I tried out the get there early and wait in line method and was so happy they were able to seat us! We got there at 4:40 on a Saturday and they open at 5. I'd say that's a good sweet spot although there was already a decent line when we got there so I'm sure it just depends! Such a simple dish but I could eat a VAT of that Roti app once a week for the rest of my life and be better for it LOL. It's seriously so good I crave it constantly. I tried out the lemongrass meatballs this time. They were SO GOOD. Normally I need a thick sauce with a meatball idk it's just who I am. These needed absolutely nothing. They were the perfect texture and I loved the crispy shallots. I've actually never had Khao Soi and man I have been missing out! The meat was seriously so tender I could not get over it. There's not much to say other than I loved this place. The wait in line to get in had me really hoping the food would live up to the hype, but it honestly exceeded my expectations. If West Elm and a bonsai garden decided to do a restaurant collab, it's Pusadee's Garden. The interior was really simple yet elegant. We didn't see much of the inside because we chose the option to enjoy our meal outside in the garden. Fortunately, we were able to snag a 5:30 PM reservation a couple Fridays ago. My friend set up notification alerts on Resy and a different party canceled their reservation the day before. This restaurant is very popular. KHAO YUM - 24 This is a 17 ingredient salad with tamarind dressing. I'm not usually a salad person, but this one was incredibly delicious and refreshing. Lots of crispy textures from the various vegetables, some juicy, tart and bitter pieces of grapefruit, and the crispy rice was the perfect fried carb on top. A bit pricy, but a great app to share for the whole table. CRISPY SHRIMP - 32 We were each able to get two pieces of shrimp among the four of us. The shrimp was batter and fried with a sweet garlicky glaze. While it was crispy and juicy, I thought it was a bit too saucy. It wasn't my favorite, but one of my friends really enjoyed the shrimp -- sauce and all. KHAO SOI - 48 The red and yellow curry was flavorful, and the egg noodles were perfectly soft with a bit of chew. The wagyu beef cheek was tender, but there wasn't much in it. Overall, I thought this was a bit too overpriced for what it was. MASSAMAN CURRY - 48 Incredibly phenomenal The massaman curry was incredibly rich with its sweet and savory flavor. Each order came with a whole lamb shank. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful -- it fell off the bone with ease. I highly recommend this entree for its delicious curry and lamb. Overall, pricy food with a elegant aesthetic. It's also more of fusion Thai food than it is authentic. We liked the salad and the curry the best. The satay was a little strange served on crostini. That one was not our favorite. We LOVED our first visit to Pusadee's for our anniversary dinner. I booked about a month out and was able to get a 9 pm reservation. The vibes were lovely. It is elegant and relaxed at the same time. The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The cocktails were delicious and they had a fabulous selection of craft beer-local and not local. The food was fabulous. Beautiful restaurant, the garden in late September was stunning. My son and I went and had some good food. I wouldn't call it great but it was respectable. It was a bit overpriced. I had the halibut and it was very fresh but lacked a lot of flavor. I was disappointed by it and would have enjoyed it more if it had more seasoning. My son and I ordered apps which was very pricey . One of the best meals I've had this year!! Our first time at Pusadee's and definitely won't be the last. We started with drinks, something cozy and new person, same old mistakes. Both delicious. The 17 ingredient salad is highly recommended and we could tell why. So refreshing and flavorful. It was fun finding all of the 17 ingredients. For our entrees I got the crispy shrimp and my boyfriend got the khao soi. Both left us craving more the whole drive home. Staff were so pleasant and happy to answer any questions. Beautiful restaurant, indoor and outdoor. I think next time we visit, we will have a later reservation outside to enjoy the greenery. Make a reservation at least a month in advance!! Once again this mainstay of Greater Pittsburgh dining proved its worth. The food and service are so good. No wonder reservation times are gobbled up as soon as they appear online. SECRET: Sign on at 7:00:00 exactly 30 days before the day you want to go. Pick your time but don't be tardy. I'm told that bar seating is often available for walkups. Table seating as well some days. My guess is that is especially true when the weather is good. After all they would have to have extra table seating for those scheduled to dine in the unprotected garden. We ate out in the garden as is our preference. Went with the Khao Yum and Crispy Shrimp and would order again. No complaints at all. This is a superb dinning venue even for a group of six. Another stellar meal and experience at one of our favorite restaurants! We had the New Person Same Old Mistakes to drink, and they were delicious! For appetizers, we had the spicy eggplant, tuna/salmon sashimi and pork meatballs. All were incredible ! For dinner, I had the prawn/scallop special and my husband got the halibut. The prawn/scallop special was on the menu for Valentine's Day, and it was so popular, they're adding it to the menu. Lucky for me! For dessert we ordered the coconut ice cream with sweet potatoes. I've been to Pusadee's Garden several times over the years & my take aways are the following- For the caliber and quality of the food, the price is excellent. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance varies throughout the restaurant - dark and moody on one side, very chic at the bar, and a bit lighter and homey on the other side. Not to mention the garden, which if you're lucky enough to get a seat out there - take It. As for the food the Roti & the 17 ingredient salad are absolute must-haves. The beef tenderloin is fantastic. The panaag curry originally comes with shrimp, which are delicious, however, I've recently been getting the panaag curry with tempura vegetables and find the combo to be worth repeating. As for the Khao soi beef and noodles - another good options but I much preferred it back when it was made with short rib. Second time dining at Pusadee's Garden. Stopped in yesterday for a late dinner. This time, I switched things up and ordered different items than last visit. Started the night off with the highly recommended roti with yellow curry, chicken, and sweet potato. This was great. Roti was soft, warm, and chewy. The yellow curry with chicken and sweet potato had some great flavor. Sort of a sweet and savory combo going on which i highly enjoyed. Next, I tried the mushroom laab. This was great as well. A variety of different mushrooms mixed with tomato and shallot. I believe there were some fried shallot in there as well which added some nice crispy textures. All of this was tossed in that classic funky fish sauce/lime combo which was very tasty. Ton of different flavors going on in this dish which I love. Lastly, for my entree, I opted for the pumpkin curry. This was loaded with a ton of perfectly cooked veggies. Broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, eggplant, and of course the thai pumpkin. I liked how the brussel sprouts and the cauliflower were both seared before being added to the curry. Overall, great dish. That said, I still feel myself partial to the khao soi. I also tried a bite of their panang curry. I'm not sure what their secret is, but that shrimp is some of the greatest I've ever had. Might need to order this for myself next time. Overall, 10/10 as always. This restaurant is great. Service is top notch. Despite how much water I drink, my tiny glass was never empty. Vibes are great. Food is the best. What else can I say. Worth the wait for reservations, absolutely amazing meal! The ambiance, decor, and building are impressive as soon as you walk in. We started with a variety of apps - the eggplant dip, sashimi, tuna laab, and the pork belly. The eggplant dip was billed as spicy but I'd say the sauce on the sashimi was more spicy. Nevertheless all four were light and flavorful. Of the three of us we couldn't decide on a favorite among them, they were all wonderful. The mains were the halibut, the crispy shrimp, and the beef cheek. The crispy shrimp was in a delightful sweet tamarind sauce. The mild halibut had a nice punch from the chili sauce and the mushrooms and greens beans on the side were a perfect accompaniment. The beef cheek was yummy and spicy with very tender beef. The spiced creme brulee was exceptional but the sticky rice custard edged it out for favorite dessert. Pro tip - reservations drop daily for a month in advance at 7:00 am and can be gone within minutes, so it's worth setting an alarm if you want a specific day. read more

Pusadee's Garden was one of the best eating experiences I have ever had in Pittsburgh. I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. It is very difficult to get a reservation, but after going, you understand why. From the moment you walk you feel like you are at a nice restaurant on vacation somewhere. The high ceilings in the bar area were a really cool setup. Everything just feels new and clean inside. I wish we would have been here in the summertime because the outdoor eating area looked amazing. We started with the roti, yellow curry, sweet potato, shredded chicken. This was the perfect winter appetizer. Super flavorful and comforting. And the pita or whatever the bread the served with it was the perfect fit for the dish. Next, we had the 17 ingredient mixed salad, which came with a tamarind dressing. This was a refreshing salad after our first appetizer and another must try on the menu. I am not sure how they came up with a salad where all of the flavors work so perfectly together, but this was an incredible salad. The toasted coconut with each bite was my favorite part. For my meal I went with the khao soi beef cheek, which included egg noodles, pickled mustard greens, red and yellow curry. Every part of this dish was perfect. The beef was so tender it almost fell apart. The curry and noodles had the perfect amount of sweet and spice to the flavor. It would be hard for me to order anything different when I go back. They also have a lot of really unique drink options to try. My wife had the "New Person, Same Old Mistakes", which was a really good tequilla based drink. They don't offer heat lamps but we dressed in layers so it was fine. Our waiter was absolutely phenomenal - patient and helpful with a smile. We loved everything we had - from exquisite craft cocktails and carafe of wine on tap to their infamous 17 ingredient salad, grilled shrimp, short rib entree, fried shrimp, giant squid, morning glory with mushrooms, and custard over sweet rice. The inside was so pretty and gave such a cute modern garden aesthetic. Low key looked like if aritzia had a restaurant. Service was ok. All of the food was really tender and soaked in the juices from the sauce. Great food and wonderful ambiance. This place is so popular that reservations are booked up over a month in advance even on weekdays. However you CAN get in. They take walk-ins all the time. We show up 15-20 minutes before they open and always get a table. Our favorite appetizers include the stir fried morning glory with lions mane and oyster mushrooms and the mushroom last. The staff are knowledgeable and will ask the chef if we have obsecure questions (my husband is from a spice family and I am an avid mushroom hunter so yes we do have obscure questions.) Great entrees include the panang curry with lime leaves and galangal as well as the pumpkin curry. There is a beautiful enclosed garden. In nice weather, you can eat in the garden area. If weather is nice and the outside area is available, extra non reservation seats open up. read more

I have been getting my hair done next to this restaurant for four years now and I have been meaning to get a reservation, but it takes so long and I just never stuck with it. Finally, I was determined and I booked out probably 2 1/2 months in advance.... And ended up going in the dead of winter. I know that I would've enjoyed my experience much more if we could've sat in the garden, that's probably an excellent vibe. I'm a spicy marg lover so I tried-new person same old mistakes-it didn't really strike me as spicy but more so smoky and I wanted spicy. We did the khao yum-it was unique, I think I would really have loved this. If it was hot out it seems like it would be very refreshing and light and more ideal for the spring and summer and like I said we went in the dead of winter. I did the beef tenderloin as my main and it was good, it wasn't too spicy, had a nice flavor, but I don't know that I would order it again.
