My go-to place to take my friends when they are visiting and want a taste of Broadway. The vibe is so moody and intimate. Feels like a speakeasy once you start walking underneath Broadway, away from the noise and chaos of the average honky tonk bar. The drinks are absolutely amazing. It is a tequila bar and the flavor profiles of the drinks are really great. I typically get a mocktail, but I had the opportunity to taste the Mango Stand and it was delightful. It was spicy on the rim but so yummy and sweet once you begin to sip. My drink of choice for the night was the Fresca Loca made with fresh fruit. Beautifully dressed and a nice beverage to enjoy while out with friends. We were able to get a table and a waitress allowed us to order without lining up at the bar. Great service!

Vibey, elite craft cocktails, in an underground speakeasy on Broadway, sure to whisk you away from the downtown scene for something a bit more elevated. I am admittedly NOT a downtown Broadway girlie and do my best to avoid it like the plague. The one way my friends know to entice me out? Promise we will meet up for drinks at Pushing Daisies. Located on Broadway, essentially underneath Assembly Food Hall, Pushing Daisies is a vibey, spacious, speakeasy ambiance. You can make reservations online or wait in line to get in (I never wait for longer than a few minutes.) On a recent Friday evening, we had to pay a $5 cover per person that went to charity, which was a first. The space is humongous but on a weekend night can really fill up and be quite loud, so warning if you're in a large group, you're unlikely to hear each other. I am usually able to snag a table if I arrive on the early side; the bar gets packed more quickly than the tables do and tables have faster service when it's particularly busy, in my opinion. The menu is tequila-forward ("Daisies" in the name being a translation of margarita + playing on the slang for being six feet under, since this is an underground spot.) These are truly craft cocktails to impress anyone and I love bringing out of towners here before they start a night going down Broadway. There are light food items (chips, queso, churros, tacos), but not enough to actually make a real meal. My favorite drinks are always plays on traditional drinks, but using tequila in place of the original spirit; the smoky, smooth old fashioned family Christmas cocktail is a great example of that! They also just do some really classic cocktails with their own subtle twist: a chocolatey El Carajillo they had last year was downright addictive. Overall this is a really fun spot to start or end your downtown evening (for the 21 and up crowd.) My one main gripe is the noise level, but it's easily rectified by coming on the early side. No easy parking in this area but if you're willing to pay a for convenience, the Assembly Garage is right next door to this spot.

Would you ever head to Broadway expecting to find an underground tequila craft cocktail bar that's pushing the boundaries of tequila cocktail menus? No. Of course you wouldn't. But they're doing it. Nestled below Broadway in a comfortable, dimly lit space--this bar has great drinks, friendly bartenders, and an outside the box mentality.

My friend wanted to come try the "matcha" drink here that they stop making after 10pm because of how popular and labor-intensive it is. We arrived around 8pm. There was no line at the entrance or at the bar, so we got served very quickly. The vibes are amazing and the DJ played some great nostalgic tunes! It would be fun to stay longer and pregame Broadway with a bigger group of friends, too. The highball cocktail itself reminded me of a tiki drink, which aren't my favorites usually. My friend said for some people this was their top drink ever, but I guess we have to agree to disagree with them. Not fans of the smoky scent! But overall still a lovely experience to start our night on Broadway. The bathrooms are individual stalls (great for privacy but still enough room if your girlfriends want to join you inside), and there is an attendant on site as well.

My husband and I stumbled into this place. We just ordered drinks. My husband ordered El Jardín (astral blanco tequila, ancho reyes verde, yellow bell pepper, cilantro, poblano chile) And I ordered the Margarita de Coco (rosaluna mezcal, blanco tequila, espelette pepper, noix de coconut, madagascar vanilla) Service was nice and not overbearing and ambiance is pretty but the music the DJ was playing doesn't fit the scene. Other than that we will come back to enjoy their drinks.

Dimly lit cocktail bar serving tequila drinks ranging from "citrusy and bright" to "vegetal and spicy". It's on Broadway, but a nice retreat from the craziness up on the street level. The DJ was playing a really nice mix and we loved our cocktail- Oaxacan High Five. Service was also great. It was a little busy, but we never felt ignored.

We have been wanting to try this speakeasy vibe cocktail bar. Every past attempt we have left given the long line sprawling the street, luckily we happened to be downtown mid-week and it was painless to walk right in and have a cozy booth seating. Their menu is creative and fun, and our server explained tequila forward as that is their specialty. As old fashioned lovers, we had to try "The Old Fashioned Guey" and to stick with their speciality focus the "Strawberry Kiwi Smash" marg! The Old Fashioned Guey - comes out in a stunning two glass process where the server removes the top and smokey delightfulness fills your nostrils - it's a sultry, sexy experience!!! The taste - it was much sweeter than I anticipated, make sure you enjoy some sugar. The Strawberry Kiwi Smash - so juicy and yummy, exactly what you'd imagine, comes with fresh fruit pieces. Would be an easy one to drink a lot of!!! The only downside (which is to be anticipated and totally understandable) is that the portion sizes didn't quite match the price point. With the added downtown liquor tax and tip, you are essentially paying double what you'd spend on drinks anywhere but downtown broadway. Be ready and know you're paying for the location and atmosphere. A solid spot for a one-time experience as locals, but won't be a regular go-to for us.

Loved this space! Stopped by before a night on Broadway and it did not disappoint. Staff was friendly, drinks were really good, we also got the guacamole and queso and I could have drank the queso! Comfortable seating and there was a DJ. We made a reservation for a Friday around 6pm and it was relatively quiet when we got there but picked up quick. So would recommend just to make sure you have a nice place to sit. The big booths looked really comfy.

The drinks are amazing, but the service is a bit rough. We sat at the bar, and there were three bartenders talking to each other while another one was making drinks. One came up and set two waters for us next to me. I had to reach over and get them and hand one to my husband. It was weird she wouldn't set them in front of us. We assumed the three talking weren't bartenders because of how strange it was they wouldn't help us. After a few minutes of not being asked to order, we asked the one bartender working if he was the only person making drinks. He turned around and told the trio to help us. The same woman who gave us the waters came over, didn't greet us, and coldly asked us what we wanted to order. We gave her our order, she made the drinks, gave us the tab, and then immediately walked away to go back and talk. It was so uncomfortable I wanted to leave. Thankfully, we ended up meeting Will. He was so friendly and fun to talk to! Unfortunately his shift was over, so we ended up leaving. We would have stayed had we not had such a negative experience with the original bartender.

10/10!!!! This place is such a fun speakeasy vibe for a girls night out! The entry is so fun, we got daisies stamped on our hand and walked down some stairs and entered the little club. We got the nachos and a pitcher of margs and it was delicious! If your going to get at least one drink, just get the pitcher! Drinks are $15 and the pitcher is $65, we each got about 2 drinks out of it. The booths were so cute & the vibes were so fun! read more

Would love to give an accurate rating but instead I will give a 1 out of annoyance. We were denied entry because my husband was wearing sandals. Oh the horror!! His other attire included a collared golf shirt and khaki shorts. I was wearing a dress, hat and boots (like every other female on broadway). Seriously ?? Oh man... you just gotta try it. This is a definite return to spot for us. If you like tequila and margaritas you are going to get in trouble here. We stood in line waiting for them to open at 5 and glad we did and we ended up spending several hours tasting a number of their specialty concoctions and every single one was amazing. They are pricey so be prepared. The only thing that was missing during our visit was live music rather they had a DJ mixing. read more

My sisters and I came to pushing daisies for cocktails and a quick snack before the Janet Jackson concert. I loved it. The drink selection was impressive. I tried 3 different cocktails and they were all fabulous. The Spicy Marg was one of the best I've ever had. If not the best I've had. The service was great too. MJ was our waitress. She had many tables she was tending to but you would have not known that as she showed attention to each table. Loved the whole vibe of it. I'll def be back. read more

Great addition to Broadway area!Made a reservation a few weeks in advance. I ended up need to add 2 more people the day of and they were very flexible which I greatly appreciated! One thing to note: the reservation is what gets you IN not a table. There is a separate fee if you want to reserve a table or it's first come first serve. Ambiance is 10/10. They had a DJ up front playing great music but you can still hear each other talk. We loved every drink that we tried! MJ was our server and she was super sweet and even brought us out her favorite drink to try(the tequila espresso martini) and it was AMAZING! Almost like a dessert. We went pretty early around 7:30 and the place was pretty packed by the time we left a little after 9. Located right beside 12/30 club where you can park in the 5th and broadway parking garage. read more

So this location was suggested to us by a waiter at another restaurant location that happened to be next door. We trusted this friendly waiter as we were visitors in a new city looking for unique experiences. This lounge was dark and sexy. Can I say that? Low lights and a musician that had cool covers and a quirky sense of humor. I just ordered a Casamigos on ice to keep it simple (we were going to dinner very soon). This discreet underground margarita bar checks lots of boxes for me. First, it's not your typical bar on Broadway with country music blaring from every level. Don't get me wrong, the Broadway music scene is one of a kind and is appreciated, but when your a local it gets old quickly. Pushing Daisies offers a mysterious and quaint ambiance. The DJ is spinning beautifully mastered beats that are well suited for the space, giving it a NY or LA feel. Second, the tequila selection is outstanding. We opted for a pitcher of the spicy margarita and they were tasty. Finally, the menu is small but perfect for a snack to accompany the margaritas. We ordered the house made guacamole and it was delicious. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because the service was a bit slow. It was early and there weren't many patrons. Server was pleasant but inattentive. We had to ask for refills on water and the wait was a bit excessive for our drinks and appetizer. We had time and the music was dope so it wasn't a big deal. If you want a break from the typical Broadway music scene, I highly recommend this place. read more

I apologize in advance for the horrible photos but since this is an underground bar, the lighting didn't allow for great photos. However, the lighting and ambiance is amazing for a chill evening. The DJ was just vibing and playing cool music that you wouldn't normally hear on Broadway in Nashville. The bartenders and waitstaff were truly wonderful. We ordered 4 drinks total and the nachos - all amazing and would highly recommend. The Devil's Vice and Tell Them I Said Something were our top favorites. This was our absolute favorite bar in Nashville and I am so sad there isn't anything like it back home. read more

So let me first start with the drinks are AMAZING! We had their Watermelon Margarita, one spicy, one regular. Excellent. Then we decided to try some of their straight tequila. They have a great selection of additive free tequilas... we went with Fortaleza Reposado and Añejo. The Bartender, Cassidy, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive, despite it being pretty busy. The only reason I can't give it a five was the music... . They had a DJ playing house music, for us it wasn't a great fit lol. The club is an underground tequila bar, we would've much more enjoyed a live bluesy set, or something more laid back. This place was a great surprise! It's a tequila speak easy with two of the greatest bartenders Will and Michael. The cocktails are fabulous. Will made us an off the menu cocktail of his own creation! Great vibe. Check it out. Espresso martini shot is another must try made by Michael. read more

Delicious drinks and good food! Our waitress was super sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive the entire time we were there. When you first get there, you check in with the host on the sidewalk and someone will come escort you down multiple flights of stairs to the bar. We were seated in a booth which was very comfortable and spacious and did not feel crammed at all. The bar is dark and kind of loud, but that's to be expected from an underground tequila bar. We will definitely come back next time we're in Nashville! read more

not sure who was the DJ on Friday June 9th but HE DID THE DANG THING! throwback after throwback, transitions on point, great dance vibes! the 'Sweet but not too sweet' HIT THE SPOT, not once, not twice but three times - & tbh you can sip it, such a great size! the closer to midnight it gets, the lower the patience of those around you - be mindful. shout out to the gentleman attending the restroom area - he was vigilant and very professional!! we will be back! read more

Stopped back in to Pushing Daisies on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday and had the worst experience! The bartenders were so rude! We ended up finding a table that wasn't reserved and about $200 into our tab, we're told we have to move because they "sold the table." They basically only want to serve you if you're getting bottle service, despite us racking up a tab. And we would have kept ordering. The waitress was so rude the entire time, it felt like a chore that she had to serve us. Once she told us about the table, she left the card reader on the table and just never came back. We couldn't split our bill. We couldn't see an itemized receipt. Just a total on a card reader and no waitress in sight. Finally got someone else to help us because the card reader just wouldn't even work. The most annoying part is no one ever sat at the table we were kicked out from. It was such a poor experience, I will never go back. read more

Went in Thursday night and everything was amazing. Hanna was our server (I think that was her name, she was from Vegas ) but she was the only one on the floor that night and she was so friendly and welcoming to everybody even with it being full. No no no no no. This place is bad vibes all around. We suspect one of my friends was drugged here by a shady group of guys who wouldn't leave us alone. We saw and overheard people starting fights and drama all around us, it was so strange. Someone allowed us to sit at their reserved table while they were up and mingling around, so we did. The people who booked the table ordered $600 worth of liquor apparently and when the bill came, they dipped and left the server asking us to pay. We didn't know these people or have one sip of the alcohol they ordered, so we refused to pay as well and got tons of attitude from the staff about it. This all happened between 9-10pm so a lot of ridiculous activity happened within 1 hour and we could not get out of there fast enough. WATCH YOUR DRINKS AND DONT TAKE DRINKS FROM STRANGERS! I'm incredibly disappointed with the treatment my group received at Pushing Daisies in Nashville. We were a diverse group of 8- black, Hispanic, white, and middle eastern, both men and women, who were denied entry because one of the men in our group was wearing shorts with drawstrings and no belt loops. However, we witnessed multiple white men being allowed inside wearing similar or even more casual basketball shorts and sweats. When we questioned the inconsistency, the general manager refused to explain or let us make a formal complaint. Instead, she escalated the situation by calling the police on us for simply asking for fairness and transparency. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in 2025. It's disheartening and infuriating to feel racially profiled and then silenced for standing up for ourselves. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of appearance or background. We came to enjoy Nashville but instead left with a disturbing reminder that some places still choose discrimination over decency. I truly hope they reevaluate their policies, staff training, and how it treats all patrons because no one should have this experience. read more
