sorry for the delay. life gets in the way. like i said…read morebefore we believe in customer loyalty. frank responded to our concerns by informing us of what was going on i the office. we felt in good hands as he guided us through options for a new heat pump system. old hvac was 15+ yrs. explained we could upgrade n not change ducting. 2024 tricky at first was a very humid summer but system did its job they adjusted fan speed to get rid of humidity. winter system overheated at first but balanced itself. winter 2025 system worked fine down to 29*f. since they fixed app to show outside temp learned how to get the most out of system. when temp and dew point are near freezing if humidity is above 70*. system will defrost more often. so use home heating. thanks for help frank

They did come back and fix it- I've been trying to get them to return my calls to explain the warranty which they said they would give me - I also thought I would use them for maintenance but since they have not returned any calls I worry that if I had an emergency they would return my calls. I received the bill about a week later on Sunday, by Wednesday that week, the plumber called me to threaten to put a lien on my house! Over maybe an hour of work, the bill was less than $500. He also threaten to have someone come by the house. I tried to explain I had just gotten the bill but he kept insulting me. His quote was competitive, but best of all, his communication is second to none. He returns calls promptly and shows up as scheduled. He always took the high road when dealing with surprise problems on the job site. We recently had a problem with recurring pinholes in the older copper pipe sections of the house. Mr. Miller immediately diagnosed acidic water from our iron rich well, and installed a neutralizer. The pinholes stopped occurring immediately. He now services the neutralizer regularly for us. If you want something fixed CORRECTLY call Miller. I have dealt with other local plumbers that seem to fudge things just to get them fixed long enough to bill you.

I have hired George Miller several times over the last 10 years. His work has always been excellent, and I have found him very knowledgeable about plumbing and construction and his prices are very fair. Not all jobs are pretty - once I had a malfunctioning sewage ejector system, and he had no qualms about getting down and dirty to find a fix. He has always returned calls very quickly, even on a holiday, and is generous and exact with his advice, sending pictures back and forth to help diagnose the problem. He is an excellent communicator with a lot of varied plumbing experience who seems to like the challenge to solve a problem. Most recently I had a no-water problem while he was on another big job and he loaned me some well control boxes to switch out to logically diagnose whether it was the well pump itself. He put a lot of office time into my problem explaining to me on the phone how to take the electrical readings and didn't even want to charge me for the time afterwards, because he was on another job he had to complete. A very nice guy! Thanks to him, I was able to get the well pump replaced the next day, because of the correct diagnosis. It's comforting to know that I have a local plumber who cares enough to help me solve my plumbing problem. I highly recommend George if you want someone who has a lot of plumbing expertise and can handle tricky repairs as well as new installations.

He appeared to have a Van with ladders and tools but decided to use my ladder, btw improperly, leanning it against the wall and stepping on another workers vacuum to support himself. It took him more than 45 minutes to figure our how best to disconnect the chimney and inert his brush. He also left me a mess of sutt all other the boiler room. I hope i never see this idiot again.

They've really gone downhill. John went above and beyond in the past, but they really let me down…read morerecently. I had an underground oil tank removed, but it turned out there wasn't enough oil left in the tank to start the new tank. I called American Eagle the morning of to ask for an immediate delivery. In the past they had been incredibly accommodating and were able to schedule a delivery on the same day. This time, though, they said they didn't have any deliveries for the day, but they could schedule me for tomorrow. Okay, I thought, they'd bailed me out in the past so I would show them some loyalty instead of calling someone else. I asked to get a delivery early in the morning though, because we wouldn't have heat or hot water until we got our delivery. They said they couldn't guarantee anything but would try to make it happen. Tomorrow rolls around and still no fuel delivery by 12:30. I call and ask for an update, and I'm told 2-3 hours. 2:45 rolls around and still no delivery, so I call again. Again I'm told "2 hours, depending on traffic" and "there's nothing I can do." I don't know what happened with them. I think they started contracting out their deliveries because the trucks that show up don't have American Eagle's logo on them anymore. Sadly, it's time for me to find a new oil company.

American Eagle is a small fuel oil company, which means when you call their number it usually gets picked up by the owner unless he's out on a service call.
