I really enjoyed visiting S.mart! You can't go wrong with anything you buy here…read more I spent less than $20 and got a decent amount of stuff: Black Truffle Velvet Mashed Potato Pringles Ritz Crackers with Chocolate Matcha Chocolates Watermelon Konjac jelly pack Japanese Oreos Gift Box (not pictured) So far, I've had the Oreos, Matcha Chocolate and the Pringles. All were pretty solid! The Pringles remind me of something other than mashed potatoes but I can't put my finger on it. The Oreos are all different flavors and are slightly thinner than the Oreos sold here in the US. The flavor I tried was White Peach and Crystal Grape. Interesting combination to mix with chocolate but it was actually tasty. The matcha chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate. The matcha flavor is very strong and it tastes like you're biting into a block of matcha but with the consistency of chocolate. I wasn't helped by anyone besides the cashier so I can't speak too much on the staff but overall I was able to navigate the store without any questions. The store is a little tight especially when you're sharing the aisles with other people. My understanding is that the S.mart directly next door is owned by the same family and is a store specializing in skincare. They share the same name but sell different items. Great selection of international treats and a nice place for gifts, too!

The other time it was a traditional cookie - fantastic. I like to get the halva- it's the best. I forget where they get it from but thru usually have two flavors and they cut it fresh for you. The flavors range from the usual to some really interesting variations. I also love getting salmon trimmings. They have many unusual food items.

We got a couple of pickles, some salmon skin chips/crisps, and a few other items. The pastrami lox was amazing - delicious and sliced so thin you can see through it. We ate it and the sable outside on the sidewalk, and it was one of the best snacks I've enjoyed in a while. The half sour pickle didn't seem very sour at all, so I recommend going full sour if you're on the fence. The shop is a delight. They have everything wonderful: bagels (they don't assemble bagel sandwiches, but you can buy bagels, cream cheese, and smoked fish to take home to assemble the bagels yourself), caviar, tinned fish, greeting cards, pins, condiments, refrigerated items (labneh, salads, fresh horseradish). It's basically heaven. I wanted everything. Biederman's falls just short of five stars for me, because the service wasn't that friendly. A few orders were sliced before ours even though we had ordered earlier and hadn't ordered much, we kept thinking ours was next, and we weren't sure what was going on. It took a little bit to get our order, and we felt a bit in the way as we waited for our order in their pretty tiny shop. It just wasn't the most welcoming place on this visit, but I couldn't have loved our cured/smoked fish on the sidewalk snack any more than we did. A real treat. I'll definitely be back (hopefully next time with a cooler to stock up before leaving town). If I lived in Philly, I'd be here constantly.

Hopefully it's good food!? The hostess warned us of 15 minute delay for seatings. No worries. Sat at bar enjoying a beer which was nice. Got to be sat in a room, circular table which was perfect! Then the staff got to work. Took drink orders and food orders. The food was ordered by my daughter so I really don't know what was name of each dish. The Hot and Sour was super. Had a chicken dish like orange chicken that was really good. Something tasted like moshu beef was very tasty. Then they served a spicy chicken that was fantastic! I wish I knew the name!! All in all a good experience.

They had an extensive menu, most of which, I've never tasted. So we requested some egg rolls as an appetizer. I also requested won ton soup. My daughter and I decided to share some Singapore noodles and my son requested orange chicken. My cousin requested beef and tofu and two different kinds of dumplings. The food is served family style and it turned out that we requested too much. However, all the dishes were yummy. Favorites were the spicy dumplings, won ton soup, orange chicken, and beef and tofu. There are so many Asian restaurants in this area that you could never try all of them. Anyway, I'm glad we enjoyed EMei. Recommend.

One of my favorite food markets I've been to during my travels. It's not too big or overwhelming,…read morebut it's packed with a variety of vendors. Here are some if the places I tried: Beiler's Bakery - The cookies were made fresh there and I enjoyed a slice of their red velvet cake. By George Pizza, Pasta & Cheesesteaks - Decent cheesesteaks here, but the bread was a little tough for my liking. I probably wouldn't return here as I had better cheesesteaks elsewhere. Famous 4th Street Cookie Company - This was my favorite bakery I tried. The cookies were a good size, tasty, and the service was great! Termini Brothers Bakery - Tried the pig ear as it was described as puffed pastry with cinnamon and sugar. I wouldn't recommend this at all since it was hard and crumbled easily.

Apparently, we needed a sugar rush! And we got a burst of energy, and it was quite delightful to see the energy at Reading terminal market! As soon as we walked in the door, it was pretty exciting because it was a Philly cheesesteak restaurant, and there were crowds waiting to try their food. We walked past that, and passed the Greek market to the baked goods and soda area that also had wonderful Philly T-shirts and stationary. Great service and no lines there!! I look forward to coming again!!

If you want fresh ingredients and condiments that don't contain any hard-to-pronounce-bad-for-you chemicals, then please come to Condiment. Friendly owner Elizabeth explained to me how everything is freshly made and you can get daily "mix-ins" with the different condiments available. Mustard, ketchup, mayo, jellies/jams, and they also have pastries and fresh made butter! You can sample anything and the three things I did were great. The ketchup is meant to rival a super large ketchup producer and the taste is spot on to that brand. The strawberry and raspberry jams were outstanding from the small tastes I had. Elizabeth said they purchase a lot of their ingredients from the RTM including the Fair Food Farmstand. She also mentioned when I asked that the products will last for some time in the refrigerator. I'm certain they will be gone very soon at my house! You can purchase 8 or 16oz portions, and for a little more you can get a squeeze bottle. I got those and if I bring them back, they'll refill them (still have to pay, though)! I believe it is $6.99 for the 16oz size and another buck and change for the squeeze bottles. I'm so glad I work nearby. Hope they start a frequent buyer program...come to think of it, I wish the Valley Shepherd Creamery did, too. I'll be back. Definitely!

I love to come here after I have picked up steaks at a butcher and either get a butter that has herbs and other cool things in it or have them marinate my meat while I shop around. Yes, that is right, they will marinate your meat while you shop! Just buy your meat, bring it to Condiment, and they will put together a delicious marinade for you while you shop! Just pick it up before you leave and you are all set! I also really like their pot pies, roasted eggplant, and other pre-made items to grab for an easy meal. Their sauces, condiments, dips, and butters are so good, it is hard not to buy everything in sight! They are a little pricey, but it honestly is so worth it! Everything is so fresh and yummy. You can find almost any condiment here, and if you don't see it, the staff is so friendly and helpful, I feel like they would see what they could do to help. Absolutely a place to check out if you are in the area!
