Pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw
Kelly F.

What an amazing BBQ spot! We walked in as part of a big group passing through, and the folks inside were so accommodating and welcoming. All our food was wonderful. The pulled pork was juicy and flavorful, the sides were great and we wished we could have tried them all. One member at our table remarked the smoked wings were the best he's ever had! I should have saved room for dessert because the banana pudding looked heavenly, but I'll have to wait until next time!!

YUM

Had a coupon for a free Beef Banger and OMG I will probably always get that and their delicious brisket. The Banger had both bbq and coleslaw on top . Last nights dinner was worth the 30 minute ride.

Stopped at Daddy's on my little road trip from NJ. In Yelpers I trust! We got a sampler platter and 10 wings. Wings were good. I liked the sauce cooked on them. Wasnt blown away but definitely good! The brisket looked overcooked and dry but was actually moist and pretty good. Wife loved the tenders. Looked dry as well but were moist and tender. Pulled pork was good. Liked the cheesy potatoes but fir some reason there was corn flakes in it which was just weird. Haha. Mac and cheese was thick and good. The cheese and bacon hush puppies didnt seem to be made with corn meal but were OK. Overall it was good. Wings were pricey at 10 pieces(not whole wings) for $16. The sampler meal was a good price at $23. Very happy with my stop. The kids working here were very nice with quick sevice. Comfy little joint. I enjoyed it.

Pulled pork sandwich, cheese potatoes, baked beans and hush puppies.

Stopped by while driving back from Chesapeake one Saturday evening after we had seen the smoker running on our way down that morning. Being late in the day, they were out of brisket, but they had deli-style trays out with a few options for us to choose from. We opted for the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, cheese potatoes topped with cornflakes, and hush puppies. The hush puppies were the crispiest hush puppies I have ever had on the outside, but still fluffy on the inside. They were amazing. The pulled pork was okay, not bad but also nothing to write home about. The baked beans were good - very sweet - but occasionally you would find a bite of the best smoked meat. It melted in your mouth. The cheesy potatoes were a bit of a miss for me... The cheese and potatoes were good, but the buttered cornflakes they added on top completely missed the mark. They don't add texture because it has been sitting on top of a casserole all day, they don't add flavor... instead, you just end up with this gummy, soggy topping on what would have been pretty good potatoes. The fountain Mr Pibb was also at the end of its life span, so we dumped it out and tried a different drink. Sort of wished I had just opted for water, or a $6 milkshake instead but... $6 milkshake... I was a little disappointed that when the friendly and helpful guy taking our order handed me the number to take to our table, it was covered in dripping butter, which then stained my clothes when I failed to notice it before accepting it from him. We didn't have to use the restroom while we were here, but unless I missed something, it appears that the bathrooms are outside in a different building, which is just creepy and inconvenient in my opinion. Definitely not somewhere that I can take my kiddos while traveling since the bathroom isn't even in the same building. Other moms of multiple kids know what I'm talking about... Definitely no way to post up to keep an eye on the kid at the table and an ear on the kid in the bathroom... the food was okay, but not enough to draw me back in favor of some of the other places near here.

Okay... so after driving by this place so many times, i decided that this is what my family is having for dinner tonight. It was a great choice!! We love BBQ but never in my life have I seen or heard of a fried brisket sandwich and it was DELICIOUS!!! I bit it as soon as I got in the car. It was hot and fresh... it was so tender and juicy... my teeth went through it like butter. I would go back for that alone. We tried so many different things just to try and they were all pretty good... except the chicken tenders.... They were hard. Not a fan of that. We tried the hoppin John as a side and if you're a fan of black eyed peas, YOU WOULD LOVE THIS. I'm not a fan of them but the dish wasn't bad. The meat was so tender. Chicken salad - very good. Potato salad - very good. Pulled pork - delicious. Bacon and cheese hush puppy - it was okay. Cheesy potatoes... ummm... is that cornflakes mixed in there? That was weird. Not too bad but probably won't get that again. The refusal at brisket, not fried, it was okay. Mac n cheese - decent. I didn't like that the bathroom is outside. At night by myself with my baby, I would NEVER go to the bathroom outside alone. I can't speak on how the service was because i didn't deal with anyone directly. I ordered online. But when i called to ask about hours earlier that day, the young man that answered was very nice. When i went in to pick up the food, no one said welcome in or anything. So i guess it was okay.

A wonderful BBQ stop on the road while traveling, the interior is very welcoming, and the service was warm. The pulled pork sandwich was filled with delicious meat, and the sweet and spicy barbecue sauce paired well. The mac n cheese had a good, sharp cheddar taste. The banana pudding had a slight taste of cinnamon, was fluffy, and not too sweet. Overall, a delicious BBQ spot!

We were headed to the beach from Richmond and I had remember previously seeing QDaddys while riding in 460 so I thought it would be good to try. We first walk in and were greeted by an older gentlemen who asked if it was our first time and let us know we could sample anything on the menu. I didn't sample but got the BBQ sandwich with baked beans and Mac n cheese. I was skeptical about the Mac based on how it looked but it was pretty good. Was slightly sad I didn't get fries because they looked really good. My boyfriend got the southern fried brisket sandwich. I'm knocking off a star because it says it comes with slaw and pickles and it did not. Fried brisket is an interesting concept and while good, it really need that slaw to set it off! Lol I would be down to go again if in the area.

Sampler special. Almost $18 including tax and drink

It was okay. I was expecting more to it. The Mac and Cheese was bland and the potato salad tasted like Walmart's brand. The hash is really good though. Not sure about the pulled pork, haven't tried it yet. I ran out of time for my lunch since I had to wait. The Lady in front of me keeps talking about her and life and so on.

Great food & friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing Brisket & the Cleanest restrooms I've ever seen! EVERYTHING else looked delicious, but that Brisket melts in your mouth. Thank you!

Chicken tenders Mac n Cheese, pit master sampler

I cant say enough about all the food and sauces! We got the pitmaster sampler and everything was great! The chicken tenders threw me off because it is a BBQ joint but let me tell you! They did not disappoint! The house made pickel ranch it amazing too! The house pickels, pickeled red onions' & Jalapenos were great as well! The loaded smoked beef links were great as well! Highly recommend!

My favorite was the chopped salad -- highly recommend! Hubby said his pulled pork sandwich was really good, but he wasn't a fan of the potato salad. I originally ordered the brisket sandwich, but some of the brisket pieces were hard. I mentioned it to the cashier, and she recommended trying the prime brisket instead. She was absolutely right -- it was tender and much better! The customer service was great, and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, a good experience and we'll definitely be back!

I love me some BBQ & I love GAR group restaurants (Great American Restaurants for you non-locals…read morelol), but this one was a bit of a disappointment, unfortunately. DEETS: This is a counter-service restaurant where you place your order with a cashier, and someone brings your food to your table when it's ready. SERVICE: We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and it was not very busy at all, with maybe three tables occupied. There were several staff members behind the counter, but no one was paying attention to anything other than themselves or their phones, and they all had their backs to the entrance, oblivious. We waited & waited for someone to turn around, notice us, greet us, and be served. As for seating, we had only the option to sit at a table because all the open booths were dirty. The restrooms were not much better. After our food came out, they must have finally seen the mess because a couple of the crew members, including the chef, started cleaning up the tables. Great to finally see the place get cleaned, but the dining room should never have been in the condition it was in to begin with, especially with it so empty and the staff just standing around, oblivious, as if they had nothing to do... *sigh* & insert a big eyeroll! FOOD: Not surprisingly, the food was average because "you get what you give" and they obvi didn't give a.... We got a pulled pork and a prime brisket with coleslaw, and they were both a bit on the dry side and lacking flavor; nothing at all like the amazing pulled pork at their sister restaurants. The table had a cute wooden box holding a selection of sauces, but sadly, they all tasted pretty much the same. Surprise! lol As always, peeps, support your local small biz, and yes, I would possibly give them a second chance because I do love GAR concepts, but if I do go back, it won't be back anytime soon, or I may not go back at all and stick with my faves of their concepts that I love and know they work, i.e., Patsy's, Silverado, & Sweetwater. 5/31/26

Great service (oddly they're all REALLY attractive Asian guys... save for the front desk girl - and I'm a straight, married, asian male), prices are great for the quality of meat and service you get (they cook for you) They come with the little appetizer plates like most Korean restaurants do, and they all have their own little twist to them, not super vanilla but still keeping to their roots and simple flavors. The green onion one was particularly memorable Our side dishes were excellent. Cheesy corn and seafood pancake. Both come out in cast iron pan, so it's piping hot and super fresh. Corn is hella cheesy and paired great with the appetizers. The seafood pancake was DENSE - really packed with seafood and not so much filler We got their combo so it came with kimchi soup and egg soufflé. The soup was very simple, very spicy. The soufflé was a nice contrast - light, fluffy, honestly almost felt like a desert. We definitely done made a mistake because for two of us, by this time the meats were ready to be cooked, we were about 60% full - and there were 4 meats to cook through We got brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and another beef I don't remember - ended up taking about 1/3 of it home and half the pancake Our server was attentive and busy managing other tables so it's great to see all these guys staying sharp Considering how much food we took home, the bill was quite reasonable. Eyes were definitely bigger than our stomach this time tldr; fantastic kbbq served by ridiculous hot Asian guys. You need a reservation to get a table here

Food (2/5): The peanut appetizer and salad were enjoyable highlights. The shrimp, however, was served head-on and lacked the flavor I was hoping for, and both the shrimp and chicken needed heavy saucing to be palatable for me. Although my mom did enjoy the melon ice cream given to her at the end, she also experienced some stomach discomfort after our visit, which is worth noting. We will most likely not come back because of the food. Service (5/5) : Genuinely impressive. Our server had a warm, persuasive energy that kept us engaged even when we were quietly on the fence -- without us ever having to say so. The manager was equally personable and gracious.
