Janie did my "fill" and only applied polish but charged me full price. There was fungus from the previous set and she said it was no big deal. I have never had fungus before. As she was polishing my nails after she filed them down, I questioned this and she said "I would never charge you for full price " She also told me she sees ghosts. I went to the restroom and she rang me out full price. When I challenged her, she said "oh you just didn't feel it." I called later and spoke to the manager who told me camera showed her putting on acrylic but he conveniently couldn't send me the footage. I don't appreciate being gaslighted or overcharged. I literally came here for a basic fill and was denied a book of colors by not 1 but 2 staff members?? When i was unsure of the color choice on my nails (due to not being offered a book) before she proceeded too far i did inform her that it wasn't really the color that i was going for. Another lady did in fact enter asking for a fill and was immediately greeted and sat next to me with 2-3 color books. After being accused of rushing her i was told to get out of her chair and switch to another nail tech who decided to throw my arms around due to obvious irritation from the miscommunication that we had about my nail color. I did offer to pay and leave mid session due to the inconvenience (mind you i only have medium length almond nails in a solid color with a cat eye finish) and was told all was okay just to continue to be completely mistreated. This was such an awful experience and I will surely keep in mind to never recommend this place to anyone looking for a standard service, being that at any other nail salon this would have been a simple in and out service. Tried a new nail place out of convenience and based on their reviews...... STAY AWAY!!!!! Walked in explained that I didn't want my nails really thick (you know when they look like an eagle talon hump at the cuticle) he misunderstood me (language barrier) and thought I just wanted a manicure. My natural nails are long, but I usually get them dipped to harden them. So he tells me he's done and I said they're super thin, I show him how easy they bend. A girl comes over and said, that I told them I wanted a manicure. ‍ Um no, you can tell my nails are so thin they need to be dipped or get an acrylic overlay. So she dips my nails once and told me if any broke within 10 days to come back and she would fix them...... They charged me $75!!! I broke 3 nails within 3 days while out of town. Went back today, and the owner told me they would fix them this time but WOULD NOT SERVE ME AGAIN!!!! I responded oh believe me I have no desire to come back!!!! So the same girl redid all of my nails but was pissed the whole time. She told me they broke because I bent them........I replied that they broke because they were too thin! ‍ I've been getting my nails done for 25 years and this was the worst experience I've ever had!!!!!! Walked in without an appointment today Thursday 9/08/22 at 1:00pm or so. I asked for an off white with a little shimmer and although they didn't have the exact color, they worked their powder magic and made it happen. I asked for thin nails and they're beautiful. They took their time and I'm very happy with the result. It is exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much. Oh and I bumped my toe on my shoe and messed up the polish but they quickly re did it without a problem. Prices here are great. It's stupid expensive in California now so that was another plus. If I could give this place no stars I would. I'm very upset with the way my wax experience went. She did amazing on my eyebrows but when she waxed my lip, she burned me & now I'm left with a permanent scar. She didn't show me after the fact with the mirror like usual, it wasn't until I got into my car when I saw the aftermath. I drove home crying because I had an event the next day which I had to miss due to this inconvenience. I've been coming here for years but normally go to Q, but I guess he's on vacation or something so I had to go to someone else. I just had the worst experience at this salon to the point that I don't think I'll go back. I always get the same thing: super skinny, coffin, long, French or plain white powder- very thin. Today was no different, I even showed her several photos but I could tell the woman who was doing my nails cut them too short and they ended up being so stubby and thick they the french design I wanted would look weird. Fine, whatever, I show her another photo and ask if she can do that design instead since they're too short for the design I originally wanted and she said she would do it for an additional $15 (chrome powder- so fair enough, but frustrating since I was already unhappy and didn't like my nails.) There we're several more issues but I ended up giving up and just saying ok they're fine. What REALLY frustrated me was when I wrote the tip (I tipped her $10- normally I tip 30-40% because I'm a server so I get how it is working for tips) but I wasn't happy at all and didn't feel inclined to tip for the additional chrome charge. The woman who did my nails literally asked the receptionist how much I tipped and the receptionist looked down at the receipt and yelled it to her across the salon, and then the woman who did my nails gave me a nasty look. Asked for a dip manicure, all they really did was apply the dip powder. Didn't clean up my cuticles or anything. The tech pushed my cuticle so far back he made me bleed (he seems very apologetic), didn't clean clean up any of the edges after he apply the top coat. Just don't. I typically go to the same nail salon in south Austin, but really needed a fill before a meeting. So, I popped in here. Wow. This location cannot be old enough to look as gross and run down as it looks! It's truly shabby. Flies were literally buzzing around me while my mails were being, poorly & roughly, done. I haven't even had a single fly in my flippin' home this summer, they must all be taking sanctuary in this filthy salon. Here is my experience... I did do a walk-in on a Wednesday afternoon. They weren't busy at all. There were 2 other people having their nails done. I entered, gal pointed to an iPad and said, "sign in". Ok, sure. iPad doesn't even work. So, another guy, comes to play with iPad. It restarts, I sign in, I sit at a nail desk and multiple people are milking back and forth. At this point, I have no idea who is going to do my nails. Then, one man sits down and just starts. Doesn't ask me anything, just a brisk, "pick color". I will mention, the language barrier at this particular salon was huge. I really had a hard time understanding anything the nail tech said. So, he files off my old gel polish, down to my acrylic and gets to work. I didn't even notice he wasn't removing the lifting in on my nails until he asks me if I want that fixed. Is that not standard?? Why would I want it to stay lifted under my nails?! Another worker comes over and strongly reprimands him for even asking or something. Then, my tech just begins filling my nails. They fixed zero of the lifting. Initially, I was interested in having nail art done, but this place is absolutely unfriendly and unwelcoming. I felt uncomfortable and unwanted to the entire time I sat on the chair. I would never, ever go back. My nails looked OK, when finished, but the gel top coat is patchy and he didn't cap any of the edges. If you only offer gel polish, don't suck at it! I'd pay double to get actual service in a clean location. TL:DR--DIRTY...the tools, the floors, the walls, all of it. Unfriendly. Poor quality. Asked for powder and for French Nails was told they do not do French. So I picked a different color. This is what happened.... my previous powder nails were not removed. Then, they used a gel over the original powder color. The pedicure went fine until I went to pay the bill..... $31 for pedicure $27 for the French color (used on my feet), $40 for the gel overcoat, total bill $98. First of all the pedicure should include color and at the most $10 for the French. Second, the original powder nails should have been removed. Third, a French option should be made available and Forth, Gel should never be put over powder especially at the request of the customer. I will never go back and I will not recommend the place of business to anyone I know. read more

It was an okay experience. I requested a mani pedi. Set an appointment but it wasn't busy during this time either way. They don't sanitize chairs after getting pedicures. But Holly did a great job and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. But instead of doing the mani pedis at the same time they forgot and left me waiting on the chair for about 15 minutes before they directed me to get my manicure. The female that worked on them was so in a rush to finish my nails even though no one was waiting to get service. I previously saw her just sitting on her phone. Because she rushed there are air bubbles in the nail polish and the water she used was already sitting on her desk and was cold. I really hope it wasn't from a previous customer. All they did was put acetone in a bowl, I did the rest. The mood of the place was anything but relaxing. I went there today to get my nails done and honestly, I was impressed. With this being under new management I was kinda nervous but I was so pleased with the service. I got a full set of dip with tips and all of my nails are even, she even got my middle finger right, YAY!! The only problem I really have is the price: $50. I'm from Dallas and we pay only 30 or 35 for dips. Some places in San Marcos do it for 40 or more but I think 50 is too much for dip. Other than that it was amazing service! read more
