I absolutely love this spa! It's definitely my favorite spa in NYC. The view of the City from Governor's island makes this spa feel relaxing but, also regal. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, and they recently introduced an hourly sound bath meditation group you can join in on at your convienience. You have the option of booking a 3-hour, 5-hour, or all day pass for different prices but, I personally find the 5-hour package to be enough. There are appetizers available, like sandwiches and a small charcuterie board ranging from $18- $26 dollars and buffet, for the evening session. A bar is also available for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages also within the same price range. There is a restaurant on the property, but I did not get a chance to eat there so I can't give an opinion but, the food did smell amazing while walking past. My only complaint is that the spa is going through renovations and it can be hard to find the different ameneties on the property. The entire spa is divided into 2 buildings and it can be hard to navigate with the work that is going on but, all in all, I would recommend QC to anyone looking for a wonderful spa in NYC.
Absolutely love coming here! I come here at least twice a year for birthday occasions. They have a promo which you can purchase a ticket for yourself and the birthday person gets in for free. Ive never had an issue with this promo & you are allowed to use it within your birthday month. I've been coming here for the past three years and it's great to see the improvements they make each time we come. You have to make sure to make your reservations ahead of time because this place gets booked! I'd say the food items are pricey. When you're here all day, you are bound to buy at least one item. I was bummed they had several items on the menu that was sold out already and it was only 2pm. I do appreciate the complimentary coffee/tea they have available and the apples too! The locker rooms are always too tier! Always clean and well kept. Actually the overall space I feel is kept in pretty clean condition all day. One thing I wish is that are times when people tend to have conversations in certain saunas. I think there should be signs to keep conversations outside. People are relaxing inside the saunas, no one wants to hear about your gossip! Overall my fav Spa in NYC. It is adults only too!
This spot is great for the location and experience alone, however, I think I should get out the negatives during my visit just to get them out of the way and suggest a couple things if you plan to go. * I feel it was a bit over-crowded the day I went, sorta takes away from the beauty and relaxation of it all, waiting for people to move to get by, or a line for a steam room? That's absurd. In fact, I'm shocked anyone waits on a line, there's plenty of relaxation rooms as they call them and various saunas to dip into... a lot of it is silly to me because once I hit a sauna and steam room, I'm just bopping between those and the outdoor pools. (There should be hot tubs, but aren't. * Bring your own snacks, they provide you with a locker, so just set aside something you think you'll want because the food situation is bleak; you're either paying $50/p for a buffet (I don't know who wants to stuff themselves full of food when trying to relax at a spa) or you're getting a chicken salad wrap or little cups of cherry tomatoes and salami. * Don't count on the flops they provide, they suck and they pile up, you might lose yours to someone else, bring your own. (And always make sure you know exactly where you leave your robe hanging, we went on a day where robes were stacked three deep on the available hooks. Way too many people) My last little upset was that the entire last hour of my session, the steam room wasn't hot or steaming, there was another steam room around the corner but there wasn't any room for another human... Oh, and a 25 minute couples massage is an insane joke at $230.... 25 Minutes!! Hahaha GFY. Now that I was so negative, I almost don't have the energy to be positive, but I'll say it was worth it! It's a labyrinth of room after room of "relaxation" that I'd like to experience with less people gabbing over each other when the rooms are playing fkcing serene spa music you can't take a deep breath, close your eyes and HEAR. I think there was a room with tables to lay on and have water fall on you (that was so packed it had lines) and the room with the infa red lit beds never had an open spot either... so, really, all I enjoyed was the dry sauna, steam room, main overcrowded pools, and the seemingly secret side pool. The igloos were also impossible to snag. While this review sounds super negative, I enjoyed the day and still feel it was worth it. I just don't thing I'd go on a weekend ever again, I'd take a personal day or something, or hell, maybe I'll just work from the spa on a slow day.
This might possibly be my favorite spa in NYC now. I love exploring all the different rooms since they have 2 connecting buildings, I went twice and realized there were spaces I didn't go to the first time! They do a healthcare worker discount 30% off and a birthday BOGO promotion as well. When you book a reservation online, they also include the ferry ticket to Govenor's Island as well, and you can pick your times to get there. The boat ride only takes 5 minutes from the city! Love the saunas, outdoor pools (heated in the winter!), and the many many rooms (and secret rooms)! I really love finding little nooks where there's free coffee, tea, apples, apple cider, etc! The buffet lunch was full of variety, and for $44, it's a better value to me than their $28 sandwich... Just do the buffet! Every hour on the hour they have a foot mask ritual in the lavender room so you're handed a mask for your feet to soak in, and they give you a towel at the end to wipe it off. There's also a room of comfy huge baby carriages where they do a seaweed eye mask ritual every hour too, and they hand you a piece of dried seaweed to snack on. Lots of moisturizers, creams everywhere for you to freely use!
Fun way to spend a day but a very lukewarm spa experience. Amazing view of the NYC skyline Buffet Very small selection, foods are at weird temperatures, and batches taste inconsistent. The salmon was ice cold, chicken was dry and room temperature, pasta cold-- only thing warm was the soup which tasted great my first time but when I went for seconds it lacked taste, like they forgot to add salt. Weirdly, they have a charcuterie station with a bunch of meats but no hard cheese. Food does not taste as good as it looks Saunas None of the rooms really felt hot enough where I felt like I was in a sauna. Water experiences like the waterfall and Vichy shower had tepid water pressure. None of the rooms were very memorable, they just varied in temperature by maybe 5-10 degrees Overall experience Quite fun! But if you've been to other spas, you may be a bit disappointed.
I recently came back for my second visit this year and still just absolutely adore the experience they curate here. I always leave feeling so relaxed and content, I'm convinced this place puts a magical spell on me each time! When booking you can select a limited time slot or spring for an all day pass, trust me, the daily pass is worth it! Then you'll get an email to book your complimentary ticket for the ferry. Upon arrival I was shown to a kiosk to check in, presented ID, linked my payment for purchasing food & bev, and received my wristband that had my locker number. The locker room I was assigned this time was more spacious and had more showers & blowdryers than the other women's room. I also appreciate that there were face & body products available for use in case you forgot your own. When you open your locker you'll see a tote bag with a robe, 2 towels, and a pair of flip flops (though the sizing you receive is completely random so I bring my own which also makes them easier to identify when putting them back on after being in the sauna or pool). My one gripe is having to pay for additional towels when the entry fee is already quite high, I just think this stifles the experience and makes it not feel as high end. My strategy is to do all the dry stuff first (sauna, relaxation rooms, red light, etc.) and save the water activities (pool, aqua level, steam room) for the end of my experience that way I'm not sitting around all day in a soggy swimsuit and paying for multiple towels. Overall the spa is beautifully appointed, however this time I did see some worrying signs of wear - many saunas have shifting/loose floor boards and the ceiling beams on the aqua level had peeling coating and rust spots. Light refreshments are offered throughout the spa (flavored water, apple cider, coffee and tea, apples, and other small offerings from attendants) plus a buffet ($) and a bar area ($). I was happy to see they finally started offering some à la carte sandwiches as well, a buffet is just not enticing to me, I would love to see some lighter fare on the menu like a fruit plate or yogurt bowl. During my visit there were a few additional experiences like a group meditation with under eye patches and a guided foot massage which I much appreciated as they made the experience feel slightly more luxe. I love how many little nooks you can find all over the property for relaxation and unique experiences. I ended up spotting a swing from inside of a sauna and immediately went to find it! Beds, rocking chairs, and cushions, there are plenty of places to get comfy and read a book or meditate. The views are stunning and the overall experience feels luxurious, relaxing, and restorative. I already can't wait to come back!
A friend booked this for our group of 10, and honestly, I had never even heard of Governors Island before this trip. We got to the Battery Maritime Building at Slip 7 just before 10 a.m., and the line for the ferry was already long. FYI: if you have a reservation at QC Spa, the ferry is free. Boats run every 30 minutes, and the ride itself is only about 7 minutes (great news for people like me who get seasick--it's literally just across the water). They don't require prepayment when you make the reservation, which was nice, you pay at the front desk upon arrival. We opted for the 5-hour pass ($124). Check-In & Lockers Check-in was a bit of a drag. Like other reviewers mentioned, the staff didn't really explain anything about the amenities. We were basically pointed to our lockers and left to figure things out. At first, we were told the 2nd floor was women's lockers, then directed to the 3rd floor "for men." Turns out the 3rd floor has both men's and women's lockers. Confusing! The lockers themselves are a little tricky. Pro tip: Type in your 5-digit code + press V to set it. To lock, hold the door closed while entering your code + press V again. Don't let go until you hear the click. Each guest receives a tote bag with a robe, two towels, jelly flip-flops (not comfy at all), and a wristband. What they don't tell you is that you need to add your credit card during check-in to use the wristband for purchases. Otherwise, you'll have to carry your card or phone around for food and drinks. Pools, Loungers & Wellness Rooms By the time we got outside, most of the daybeds were already claimed. Lounge chairs were available but not the most comfortable. Still, we scored front-row seats with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline. The outdoor heated pools with bubbling jets were the highlight of the day where we spent most of our time there. Inside, there are supposedly about 20 themed wellness rooms, but again, no one explained this at check-in and there's no map. We only found out because friends stumbled upon them. Some we tried: Dry sauna Ice room Water bed room Vichy shower Cold water bucket "challenge" Foot bath (never quite figured out how it worked--lots of guests looked equally frustrated, and honestly, I think ours wasn't working at all). Would've been so much better with clear instructions or staff guidance, instead of wasting time experimenting. Food & Drinks Cocktail game was strong. I stuck to Aperol and Limoncello spritzes, both solid. There are water stations everywhere, which is great. Food-wise, I had the tuna wrap with chips (just okay), and for dessert, the chocolate whiskey ice cream (yes, it has booze, but not overpowering, it was actually good!). We skipped the buffet since we weren't that hungry, and based on other reviews, sounds like we didn't miss much. Overall Experience Despite the hiccups with staff communication, locker confusion, and lack of guidance for the wellness rooms, it was still a fun experience with friends. The view from the pools alone makes it worth trying at least once. Next time, I'd probably try the sunset pass, since I've heard it's a vibe and would give me time to explore the island during the day. Bonus: they gave us a floral gift card with $40 off a future fall or winter visit, which is a nice touch.
5 stars for all the water related spa rooms and the lavender room, but mixed thoughts about the other features We used my birthday to go since you get 1 free admission that month - I think it was worth it at that price point but definitely don't think I would go full price. The bottom level of both buildings have the water related spa rooms (waterfall, jets, vechi baths/scrub, steam rooms and the outdoor pool). Those were definitely the highlights and where we spent most of our time. They also have a guided foot massage in the lavender room every hour which we enjoyed as well. Other than that the spa felt a bit gimmicky - lots of whimsical rooms to lie around but a lot of the same thing. The little lotions and scrubs all around were a nice touch but not sure if they were the best quality. Another downside is they mention there are snacks, coffee and tea to enjoy - tea machjne was broken and the snacks were apples. I would recommend they add more attention to this - it's a simple thing that would significantly boost the overall experience. They should also place these on every floor rather than having to search for it at the bottom of one building Another downside is the lack of a map or general direction - I think that's the theme of this place but it was confusing. I'd recommend everyone start at the bottom of the buildings with all the water rooms/pool and then end with all the calm/relax rooms, lavender foot massage etc or else you are washing all those lotions off Overall glad I went because of the deal and would recommend checking it out once.
We've been coming here for the past few years, usually in hubby's birthday month since he's a summer baby. Our first experience was amazing and it's only gotten better, especially since they've expanded. We always book early and during the week when there's less of a chance of a lot of patrons. We always book the first reservation with the birthday special so we can scope out our perfect spot with a view by the pool. The check-in process is seamless now that they not only have in-person assistance at the counter, but also multiple kiosks to accommodate a large amount of people entering at once. The locker rooms are still spacious and clean. They've brought back the complimentary totes and still provide spa products. During my visit they were in the process of renovating part of the pool sitting area. It looked like landscaping. I'm unsure if they have completed that. As previously mentioned, they have opened their second building, which houses the new restaurant and a few levels of additional experiences, including mini events, relaxation rooms with water beds, and optical illusion interactive pieces. They now also offer a sit down restaurant with buffet option for $44. There's an option for Sunset Bites between 6-9p, when you get their aperitivo tray free with any drink purchase. This deal is only available if you pay full price, meaning you can not combine it with a discounted admission (i.e. Birthday Promo). I really wish I knew about the buffet ahead of our visit or at least during our check-in, because we would have taken advantage of that. Whenever we visit, we usually stay the whole day, leaving near closing. Having the buffet would mean we could stay longer and not have to worry about grabbing dinner afterwards, before heading home. The ferry is always cute. We drive down and park across the street. The price isn't too bad, especially for the entire day. It pays to have a small breakfast ahead of your booking time so that you're not dying of hunger before you get a chance to eat at the spa. QC will always be our annual relaxation destination every year. I always tell fiends so we can take advantage of the birthday special. You're able to stay the entire day with that special, so it's definitely worth it. The staff is amazing, pleasant, and helpful.
TDLR: Very cool experience that is unique compared to the typical spa day. 3 stars if you want actual relaxation, 4 stars if you want a fun experience with your friends. Phones are allowed and you don't have to stay quiet. You take the ferry there which is super fast, less than 10 minutes. Once you arrive they have everything for you - they provide flip flops, 2 towels, 1 bathrobe, a bag and plastic bags for your wet bathing suit. You get an assigned locker and can choose your code. Bring sunglasses and a water bottle. You need your ID at check in. I found the property confusing to navigate. There are two main pools that look onto the NYC skyline and some pool chairs in grass to hang out. The building is kind of a maze, but there are rooms where you can sit in fun spinning chairs, lay in a water bed, do a foot massage, sit in a cold room and rub ice on yourself, get an eye mask and eat seaweed snacks, sauna, steam room, etc. You can buy a drink but you can't have it in or around the pool. They accept a credit card or apple pay. As I mentioned before, this isn't the super relaxing spa experience that you might expect. Everyone is talking and has their phones out. People are taking photos in the pools. So, if you were planning on quiet relaxation, this is not the place.
We have been to QC Spa at least 3 times before and had a lovely time. But this year, my partner, whose birthday is on Jan 26th tried to do the birthday buy one get one free promo and we were denied. Last year, in the fine print it said if you make a birthday promo reservation it has to be within 30 days of your birthday so I thought that same rule applied this year but it had changed and nobody let us know that until we were already there which isn't an easy place to get to. At first, the one woman helping people get checked in told us that you can use the promo seven days before and seven days after your birthday date but it has to be in the same month. This doesn't make sense if you have a birthday at the end of the month because then the 7 days bleeds into the next month which I told her and she was like a robot and just kept repeating that rule. Then we talked to a manager with blond hair who kept talking over us and acting like we were stupid. She rolled her eyes. She told us the 30 days was never the case and she's been there for three years. She wouldn't listen to what I had to say and didn't seem to believe that we had been there before. So we went outside because it was really warm and stuffy and I got upset like we were there to share a rare day off and was being treated badly. We look up the past trip and low and behold, I was right. His birthday is on Jan 26th, I made the reservation on Feb 4th 2025 and it was for a Feb 19th 2025. Last year, they let us in. No problem. So we came back in, and my partner showed them the proof. Another older woman with long brown hair also came up with a reason why we were allowed to come in last year. After tag team yelling at us with the blond lady, she suddenly "remembered" that last year there was a power outage and SHE gave us an exception because they had to close early and reschedule people. We were both like "no, that didn't happen."Nobody mentioned a power outage last year or that they were giving us an exception. Then she totally changed her answer and said last year the person who let us in (who suddenly wasn't her) doesn't work there anymore and giggled. I was like didn't you just say you let us in?? Like what? Usually, when someone gives multiple excuses it means they are lying. For this year, 2026, I booked it for Tuesday Feb 24th but the blizzard happened the day before. Where 19.7 inches of snow fell and a snow like this hasn't happened in 20 years. Places were already hard to get to because of the snow, add in the fact that the QC is on Governors Island which is a mostly abandoned island and doesn't have a lot of people or activity that you have to take a ferry to. Would the sidewalks even be cleared? I didn't know what the conditions would be like or if they would even be open. I mentioned that we had booked it for Tuesday Feb 24th but had to reschedule for Thursday Feb 26th and the brown haired woman smirked and was like "well we were open on Tuesday." And she said it in a way that implied that she would have given us an exception but if that were the case, it totally negates the 7 day rule so why even mention it? Overall, they were really nasty to us. Didn't care at all, kept talking over us, made up multiple excuses as to why they let us in before but not this time. They clearly don't give a damn about their customer. I used to recommend the QC to my friends and they would come. We loved it there with all the options for saunas and steam rooms and their outside pools with an amazing view. Despite how they allow phones in the bathing and sauna areas so anyone can film you. I also never liked the food (it's bland, mostly tiny and overpriced). And now after being treated so poorly while also being lied to and talked over I see no reason to return. After being treated this way, I wanted to go home and cry. But the day was young and my partner was like let's just go somewhere else. Luckily, we live in a big city where spa's are trending. So we tried a new spa and had a great time where no one treated us like crap.

My friend surprised me with a spa day here, and I loved it. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The spa is beautiful and well run. Coming off the ferry, I caught a ride on a golf cart. The man was ice enough to give me a lift. I checked in later than I should've and met my friend. I opened the locker, and there was a cute tote bath with a towel, robe, and slippers inside. After changing into my bathing suit, i let met my friend out in the glass house for mediation, which is soooooo cute. The pool is heated, and it has jets with 3 different levels overlooking the city and some chairs to sit on. Inside is huge. There are different sections full of different things to do. I tried the sauna and the steam room and wanted a massage but at $100 for 25 min. I opted to hold off on that. There's a foot bath I contemplated on using, but i changed my mind. The steam room was intense, and I really needed a detox from drinking the day before but couldn't handle it. Through the facility, they do have infused water. There's a cafe and also a bar. You can grab a bite to eat and sip on an Apperol spritzer while you enjoy the view outside. Although it was covered by smoke, you can tell the view is exceptional. They did have to close early because of the smoke and I didn't get enjoy everything but I liked it. I would definitely return. read more
For my birthday this year, I took myself to QC NY after seeing it on social media. I bought a 5 hour pass for $133, which includes the entire wellness experience (aka access to all of rooms). The pass also comes with a complimentary ferry ticket. You need to book your ferry to Governor's Island separately. The ferry ride took 4 minutes - super easy and fast. W When you exit the ferry, there is easy signage to see where you are going. There is an obvious sign that points to the right for the spa entrance. For the duration of your stay, you get a robe and jelly sandals to walk around in. There's a fine if you damage/lose your robe or sandals. I think you only need 3.5-4 hours here maximum. I didn't opt for a massage so maybe if you wanted one, then you'd want to stay longer. Wellness experience rooms I used: - Infrared beds - Panoramic spa pool (it's heated!) - One Thousand and One Nights - steam room that pumps eucalyptus oil. I found it really hard to breathe in here to be honest. I only stayed for 3 minutes before I had to leave. - Foot bath - Multiple saunas It was a very relaxing way to spend my birthday! The staff were friendly but some of the patrons were not. For a random Wednesday, there were a decent amount of people here. I can't even imagine what it'd be like on the weekends. There is currently construction or some remodeling being done by the outdoor pools, so the caution tape kind of ruins the view and the relaxing spa vibe. The spa is not that big. The rooms are actually quite small. Again, I can't imagine what it's like on the weekends. For the first spa experience ever, I was quite pleased! I really enjoyed the saunas. It felt nice to just sit there and sweat everything out and be with your own thoughts. read more

This is one of my favorite spas in New York. The outside pool is wonderful . The pool outside is very spacious and the veiw is beautiful when the sun sets. I also like how they have heated outside pools. This spa also have several saunas and they have multiple floors for people to explore. I had a great time when at this spa. They have an outside lounge chair for people to sit down and eat and relax. They also have an upside down room and the customer service is great here. read more

I visited the spa yesterday for the first time. Loved it. If you choose to go during the month of your birthday, you get a 2 for 1 deal - it's spendy, even at that price, but totally worth it. It's a beautiful spa - big enough to get lost in (several times). It has 2 main pool/lounge area, cafe, lots of saunas, steam rooms, rain shower type rooms and you can also book a massage. You book a time slot to arrive and then you can stay until closing if you want - 10 pm on weekdays, so the price is a little more palatable. It got pretty crowded after 5pm. The changing rooms, restrooms, shower rooms are well maintained and fully equipped and you get a bathrobe, 2 towels and the most excruciatingly painful flip flops I've ever worn. My only criticism is that the food is a bit meh .. I had a very small salmon salad, served on a paper plate with plastic cutlery and the wine was served in a horrible plastic wine glass. It just didn't match up to the vibe of the place. read more
Relaxing location! A few details; 1. Food is overpriced and not impressive in my opinion. I had the tofu ($24) and beer ($10) and it was below average. 2. Girls locker room is hot and bathroom is NOT clean. I would recommend they clean every hour or so. 3. They limit to two towels and one robe which I believe is more than enough. 4. The saunas, steam rooms, foot power and power back shower are awesome and a great experience! 5. I didn't find certain rooms interesting like the infrared and upside down room. 6. Pool was awesome with so much variety. I really enjoyed! read more

The spa is located in Governors Island and requires a ferry to get there which is free. you will need to plan ahead if you are going here. The check-in process is easy and the staff is friendly. They have a great birthday deal where you can get two people entrance for the price of one. They have a few outdoor pools as well as saunas and indoor relaxation areas. I would like to see a little bit more saunas available. Some of them are regular saunas you can get at any gym. The food however, is crazy expensive. The minimum meal cost is $24 and it is usually a wrap or a salad. Overall, this was a good experience! read more

Went for my birthday, for the second year in a row! We live in queens and we like to get away from the busy city to just enjoy and relax. Beautiful views of downtown Manhattan, beautiful pools, nice sauna, lots of space and good amenities. Tip: food is expensive and small portions! eat beforehand or eat afterwards. they do sell alcohol too. bring a small bag that you can keep your phone and sunscreen in while on the concourse because your robes don't have pockets. read more

My partner and I visited QC NY Spa to celebrate THE AMAZING: - The staff! Oh so friendly from reception to the locker rooms! You all are amazing! - The cleanliness! Absolutely amazing and spotless in every corner! - From wellness gardens to outdoor spa pools to indoor saunas and steam rooms, Vichy showers, foot baths, relaxation rooms, and so much more, the amenities were next level! - The clear signage and scent descriptors -- I'm allergic to peppermint and was able to clearly see that one sauna/steam room used peppermint oil so I steered clear. - In various stations, they offer DIY face masks, exfoliation, and more. It truly felt like a spa experience from beginning to end and I didn't even mind that I was my own facialist haha! THE GOOD: - I *loved* the dyson hair dryers (though I wish they had the dyson airwrap attachments, as I love those). - The foot bath was hard to maneuver, but once we got it, it was great. - I didn't find the jet showers to be anything special. The VICHY SHOWERS HOWEVER are 10/10. THE MEH: - The regular cost feels a tad high. A huge reason as to why I visited was because they offer you free admission on your birthday if you bring a paying customer (aka my partner!), and I offered to pay for our food for the day. I would love to go more often, but I believe she paid something like $140, which felt like a lot. But hey, it's a treat I suppose! - The showers & shampoo/conditioner/body wash were lackluster and I didn't feel quite "clean" afterwards. - I wish they offered a map or a "suggested" order of amenities/experiences as I didn't quite know where I was going or what order would be the most beneficial for the experience. - Food was way overpriced for the most part *but* they offered a mini cheese/appetizer platter which was perfectly portioned and priced. HIGHLY recommend that (at the top of the menu, I believe). WHAT I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN: - Bring a hair brush!! It would have made drying my hair a whole lot easier. - There are no pockets on the robes provided, so make sure to either bring the bag they provide around with you, or something smaller and more secure to carry any valuables/your locker key in. - The showers are not great. I'd recommend hitting the Vichy showers instead to rinse everything off and relax, and then shower for real when you get home. - Come EARLY!! Aim to spend 4+ hours here (you'll want it!) - EAT BEFORE YOU COME!!! The food is overpriced and basic for the most part. - Check out their FAQ's for more recommendations. Please note: the spa is for folks who are 21+, and for good reason. It's a very upscale environment and a huge reason why it was so relaxing was because we were surrounded by other adults. The place is well run and the staff is excellent. Not too difficult to get to. The ferry is very quick when you take it from the city. (the governors Island ferry is located right next-door to the Staten Island ferry ) The pools could be hotter I think. we got a couples massage and we both were not really impressed. It cost a lot of money and felt like the guy was just rubbing my back and I wanted go to sleep. He didn't really work any muscles. I would not ever get a massage there again. it's definitely worth it for the view of Manhattan and soaking in the pools. It's definitely a vibe. read more

This place is mediocre and highly overrated to say the least. The food is like eating at a Deli with options like wraps, eggs sandwiches and charcuterie boards. After paying more than 150 dollars only to enter this place I expect at least a wide variety and better prepared food. The place was crowded and people were behaving like they were at a water park. Yelling and laughing out loud in an environment that is supposed to be enjoyed in silence or at least speaking at a volume to respects each other. I was very very disappointed. This is a place for people to come and take pictures with the skyline in the background so they can brag about it. Did not feel relaxing at all! I would never ever come back and of course would never recommend it. read more

QC NY was a good vibe. The ferry to get there is quick and easy to get a ticket. They include a link to get your free ticket in the confirmation email after your spa entry purchase. Upon arrival, you check in, sign the waiver, then are given your locker key and the option to get a wristband to charge purchases to. The locker has a bag with your robe and slippers inside. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The 2 pools were nice & warm. They have a beautiful view of the water. We also enjoyed the saunas, steam rooms, foot bath, and more. It would have been nice to have a map of the facility as we didn't know where everything was; we just stumbled upon them. The food was definitely overpriced, but decent. We had the chicken salad. The food is very healthy. The drinks were VERY strong. We had margaritas and they used don Julio. I would definitely return to experience more of the amenities. read more
It is a beautiful getaway, away from NYC's hustle. Everyone in the spa are very friendly. There's is a place to eat and buy drinks but they are cashless. They accept credit and Apple Pay. I recommend the chicken wrap, it it tastes better than the grilled Remember to pack swimwear and sunglasses. They provide robe, towels, flip flop and tote bag (you can keep the tote bag but you will have to return the robe, towels and flip flop). There's a birthday promo where the birthday guest gets in for free with a paid companion (birthday guest gets it on the day of or 7 days after birthday with valid ID). Loved the experience with friend, there were also a couple of couples, but most groups friends, just hangout making memories. I believe the cost is worth it to celebrate a special occasion. We arrived around 5pm, it wasn't busy at all. We got to enjoy all the amenities, saunas, pool, heating rooms, fireplace room, changing area, showers, you name it, we did it with having to wait for someone. You can make a whole day out of it since there is a bar and food available. Take beautiful pictures, relax, drink and just enjoy the moment and the view. read more

We came here for our birthday celebration and we had a great time. Their wellness birthday spa was complimentary on your birthday with a paying guest, otherwise it's $90 for 3 hours during the weekdays and $116 for 3 hours during the weekends and Friday. Navigating the space was a bit confusing... a map would be helpful. This multi-story oasis consists of various types of saunas and steam rooms, a foot bath ritual, an infrared room, a Vichy shower, a steam bath, a jacuzzi, a music pool, an upside down room, etc. They offered complementary water, tea, and coffee. Food, alcoholic drinks, and massages were additional charge. Their food options were pretty average and limited... Minus two stars because this was the only spa that I have came across which imposed a time limit, and we were not provided with birthday gifts as advertised. read more
First time here and ambiance is beautiful the views are stunning. My favorite thing about spa is the scents and this place has that!! Spa is a bit pricey I would give it a 3.5 and here's why. Getting there wasn't terrible we had a pleasant experience taking the ferry. The spa has outstanding views of the Manhattan Skyline. Plenty of Saunas and Steam rooms. I went on a Thursday noon And I was so happy that the places was not packed or overcrowded most of the times the saunas were empty with just me and my partner most people were out in the pool. I have to say my favorite part would be the ambiance very peaceful and quiet and the saunas were very relaxing. I also got a massage and it was soo good definitely was worth it my masseuse was friendly and attentive. While waiting for the massage there was fruits and nuts. Throughout the spa there's flavored water that was refreshing. However, these are my cons one there's a time limit for us it was 3 hours including the 25 minute massage felt a bit rushed. Two I was disappointed with the bistro and drink menu. The menu was limited and for some reason everything is $24 even if you get a muffin???. The drinks $20 + is regular NYC price however I would have felt more comfortable if they were more impressive but the drinks were very simple no garnishes. Lastly I did wish there were wipes or something to disinfect the foot spa section to disinfect after every use. Overall, great spa but look to spend here 90plus just on the entry. TIP : they offer a free entry on your birthday with a paying guest. Great spot to get away and relaxed a bit. read more

This was a great start to the summer getaway. We were a group of 5. The ferry was big enough that it felt pretty empty even with a big crowd heading to governors island at 1030am. Upon arriving to the island there are signs guiding you to where the spa was located. The check in area was so esthetically pleasing and it smelled so nice. It did get a little crowded as multiple groups were checking in at the same time. Check in required all people in the party to have their id and there was a staff member guiding how to use the machine to complete the process of checkin. You get a bracelet that has your locker #. Once you head to the floor of the bathrooms there are two different wings. Both bathrooms were beautiful. The showers had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Next to the lockers you have some benches and some pumps with face lotion, and other face/body cream for use. In your locker you get a robe, two towels, and slippers. We started the experience upstairs and worked our way down. There are different themes to each room and even a sandclock available for you to time how long you're in the space. There were staff members walking around with fruits, face masks and other goodies to enhance your experience. The different scents and amenities in each room were so fun. It was great to experience with friends. Once we started to head downstairs we went to the saunas. The downstairs floors had multiple steam rooms with a variety of themes, temperatures, sounds and scents. You're also next to the Vichy showers and the foot massages. Once you're done there there is a door that leads you to the pool area. There are beds, Lounge chairs and it's first come. While we did start with chairs in the grassy space, we soon shifted closer to the pool. The pool is divided into different sections and the massage chairs available inside the pool are a fun experience. The relaxation does not end. The pool area is also connected to the final 2 saunas, face infrared and the dining space. You can order your food and take it out to where you're sitting in the pool area. There is no rush to leave the pool area or sense of urgency to leave the spa. We had a great day and ended up taking the ferry after 5:00pm. read more
I definitely will say it was a good and relaxing experience. There's some cool instructions with different scrubs before the saunas or steam rooms. It's fun to explore and can easily take you 2 to 3 hours. We went on a rainy day, so it was relatively empty. There were many instances where no one was in a room with us. The pools are nice and a good temperature. It is pricy to get in. We went on a weekday so it was $90. The food and drink inside was too much for us, so we opted to eat elsewhere. read more

I really liked this place at first-the staff were very friendly, everything was clean, the food was fresh and tasty, and the design was thoughtful. I especially enjoyed the music and the charming butterfly and balloon decor. However, I was quite disappointed by the lack of clear communication regarding the pool dress code. Nowhere on the website or on-site was it indicated that regular clothes are not allowed by the pool. It would be helpful to put up clear signs next time. Because of this, I chose not to wear wet clothes in the cold weather, which limited my experience. I understand that dress codes are necessary, but please make these rules clear upfront to avoid surprises. After returning the robes, we planned to enjoy some drinks and food at the bistro, intending to spend more time and money, but had to leave early to travel back to NYC. We were also surprised to learn that robes and towels would cost $8 per person to use. Charging extra for these basic items feels excessive and unreasonable, especially since the website doesn't mention any restrictions on robe usage outside the pool area and there are no signs stating so. My friend spent $350 on a birthday promo for both of us, so this felt particularly unfair. Lastly, being followed to the reception felt uncomfortable and made me feel unwelcome, which was very disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests. Please consider clearer communication about your policies and more customer-friendly service regarding robes and towels. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, though I had wanted to bring my boyfriend here. I guess we'll go to SOJO instead-they don't charge extra for clean towels, at least. read more

I wanted to give this place a five star I'll state that first. But the bar service is what made it a 4. I get it they have to mark up the drinks but don't go here hungry or thirsty if funds are an issue. $18 a cocktail. We got a beer and a soda tipped 20 percent. And when we sat down to drink the beverages, the beer was warm. The male barmaid told me to kick rocks basically. When we asked to replace the warm beer with maybe just a water, He refused and we left the beer with a salty taste in our mouths for the lack of hospitality. I've worked front of the house for years and I honestly think this man should not Be working the industry I would have sent him home from my staff. I wish I didn't tip the lousy $3.60 it was not pleasant and he could care less. But most of the staff was very friendly. The cleaning staff seemed real friendly at the end of the night too. We got in on the evening package for the birthday special. I recommend that for the pocket minded folk. Other then that the spa the pool the sauna were all amazing and we liked walking around at our own pace. Amazing place to be when not a lot of people are there. We managed to get the sauna and pool to ourselves briefly . All and all I would go here again but hopefully they fix up some of the staff. The front desk girls were nice sweet and informative . Are there any indoor water spaces or just the outdoor pools?
The only pools are their heated outdoor pools (one is actually a bit more secret and less crowded) but there are also some massive water rooms, water tables, etc.

They have them summer or winter. Some are heated some aren't. When I went it was cold windy and drizzling and the outdoor pool was still available.
