I have been craving for Chipotle for many many months now and this is the closest I've made it to satisfying that hunger without having to book a flight to Seattle. The concept of the two restaurants is very similar. Same, same, but different. As far as price goes they're really decent. Go ahead, get the guac or the cheese; they won't charge you for it. Service was fast, restaurant inside is warm but I got mine to eat at the comfort of my own dining table. For what it is they're doing a good job. Some things that could be better: some of the beans have a little more crunch texture and it'd be nice if the pickled red onions were pickled longer to the point they're tamer and the flesh has become pink. All in all I still like being able to get somewhat pickled red onions on my food. For a Chipotle alternative (love it or hate it) the place fairs very well. read more

It's Qdoba, and it's generally a pretty pleasing experience. I rarely go to this location, as the other location is right next to my work. I suggest ordering on their app, then you can just waltz in, take your food, and be done! They've taken masks and social distancing seriously from the very beginning of all this. I come here often and I've been happy until today. I attached a photo with all the meat pulled aside on the top left of the photo. I dissected it as I noticed the lack of meat during its creation. Haven't been back here since pre covid. Seems like their portion sizes have dropped a lot. Ordered a bowl and wanted to try the new cauliflower mash. Honestly got like 1tablespoon full, which I paid almost 2$ extra for so I had to get rice with it. Had chicken for the protein and got like half a scoop. Had to ask for more fajita veggies cause there was very little put on. Hope they can get it to where it was. And more cauliflower mash for the extra you are paying. I've been here a few times for what I get I think it's expensive. But it's good. However we went yesterday and it was definitely off. The steak had zero flavor. The brisket wasn't drained so it was super watery which made the taco a soggy mess. The guy working there was trying to be funny but just came across as rude and obnoxious. "Can I get a bowl?" Maybe "Can I get steak?" Maybe Asked to be rung up separately and was rung up together. Was never asked if I wanted a drink and she had already totaled us. With Taco Bell giving such a thorough finger to its customers with their awful menu slashing, I'm on the hunt for a new quick & easy burrito place. I got some pandemic delivery the other day on a whim, and it was OK. The good: VERY fast, I got my food in less than a half hour. The queso dip was also delicious. The bad: Most of the chips I got were very stale, and the burrito was made in segments. So unless I pivoted to eating it like a corn on the cob, each mouthful only had one ingredient. All rice. Then all beans. Then all sour cream. Etc. I do plan to try again since they're nearby and maybe it was an off night, who knows? I don't eat meat and carrying Impossible goes a long way with me. Ive eaten plenty of qdoba and chipotle in my life. Plenty! And happily! This was literally the worst take out I think I've had in 47 years. We threw away $40 worth of burritos and street tacos after 2 bites. The rice was somehow both crunchy and mushy with a lingering taste of dish soap. There was no guacamole. My husband will eat just about anything and my kid was starving after 3 hours of swim practice. Neither of them could stomach this crap. Never ever again. read more

This location is super clean, service is really good, and workers genuinely seem to enjoy working here. They also seems to pay attention to the customers in line, and all the food is always fresh. I would like to start by stating that the food is good and the girl Keisha at the register is the sweetest. However, I have had multiple irritating encounters with two of the staff members in particular. I'm a regular and every time I come in I try to explain how much of the toppings I want. Two staff members in particular are always rude, ignore you're requests and give you the sassiest attitude. Typically this wouldn't be such a big deal for me. If they had good attitudes and messed up my food I would just roll with the punches. For example, today at roughly 8-8:15pm I requested a burrito with both rice options. I specifically asked for half servings on each item so it would make one scoop together. The server there today did two heaping scoops of rice and beans. This may not seem like a big issue but it was when I got a side of attitude I didn't ask for. Then, when she rolled my burrito it wasn't rolled correctly and is leaking sides; not because the burrito was over stuffed but because she rushed it when only my partner and myself were in line. Then I asked her to double grill it, she acknowledged my statement. I noticed her taking the burrito out after one session in the griller, I kindly reminded her that I wanted it grilled again she made a snide remark and shoved it back into the griller and slammed the lid. This in conjunction with a poorly rolled burrito made for a sloppy meal. There is no excuse for having such poor customer service in a customer oriented environment. Frankly, I'm disappointed that the only consistency this store has is bad attitudes with the line servers. The other experience was with a female manager who's name I do not know unfortunately. I came by here earlier tonight since I had a craving for Mexican food. I have always liked visiting this location off of E. 85th Ct. and Abbott Rd in front of the Carrs Shopping Center. The dining area is wide open and is always clean whenever I visit. The chairs and tables are spaced far enough for comfort and there is a TV set playing baseball or football games in one corner of the room. They just added a large outdoor seating area by the road just in time for summer. The employees here are quick to take your order and I never had to wait more than five minutes even when there is a line ahead of me. I decided to get their promotional Knockout Tacos plate since they were so delicious and filling on my previous visit. The platter gives you a choice of three flavors. I decided to go with the Drunken Yardbird (tequila lime chicken, guacamole, salsa verde, cilantro, minced onion, and cotija cheese), the Triple Threat (grilled steak, bacon, three-cheese queso, fajita veggies, pico de gallo, and cotija), and the Gladiator (grilled steak, bacon, pico de gallo, lettuce, Mexican Caesar dressing, cilantro, and cotija). Like last time, they were absolutely delicious hot off the grill and served on flour tortillas. Other flavors for this promotion also include the Mad Rancher (grilled chicken, bacon, guacamole, picante ranch, lettuce, pico de gallo, and cotija), the Two-Timer (pulled pork, salsa roja, shredded cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, in a crispy taco wrapped in a flour tortilla), and the Bohemian Veg (shredded cheese, black beans, corn salsa, guacamole, salsa verde, minced onions, cilantro, and cotija). The three-item plate was reasonable at $11.99 for the quality of the ingredients and the amount of food I received. All I really needed was a cup of water to wash this down which saves a little money from buying drinks. Other items are your standard Mexican fare like chips and salsa, taco salads, burritos, three-cheese nachos, crispy or soft tacos, and quesadillas with choice of grilled chicken, ground beef, pulled pork, grilled steak, or shredded beef. Some of the more unique items are the Mexican Gumbo, the Loaded Tortilla Soup (crunchy tortilla bowl with lots of meat, veggies, sour cream, queso, and guacamole), and the Mango Salad (choice of meat with romaine lettuce, cilantro-lime dressing, and topped with a large amount of mango salsa). This is a decent place to get a good lunch without having to spend more at a higher-end Mexican restaurant. read more

The service was terrible. First time at a Qdoba. Downloaded the app and placed a mobile order. I came in and there were 2 employees working and 1 person waiting for a to go order. I stood near the cash register for 10 min and nobody greeted me or even really looked at me, and they both looked like they hated their job, but I could see that my order was being put together so I just waited. I noticed that a couple of things were being missed on my order as I had requested guac and cilantro on the birria tacos. I politely brought it up to the person who was making it, as they were about to close the container. They seemed somewhat irritated that I pointed it out, but added the quac, and then assured me as he was closing the container that he had already put the cilantro on. When I got home, I found the tacos had about a teaspoon of meat in the center of each taco and was missing the cilantro. The small birria taco's are nearly $5 each, so you would think they would have more than a teaspoon of meat in them, as there was at least an inch or more of void of meat on each side of the tacos. The meat was tasty, what little there was of it. After my meal, I took thier survey on the app and stated everything here. The manager emailed me within two days empathetically apologizing, thanking me for pointing it out so she could address it, and then telling me that she would request corporate to add two free entree's to my mobile app to make it right. I wasn't looking for free food, but it was a nice goodwill gesture. She gets FIVE STARS for her customer service, but Corp gets 1 Star as they never responded to me, nor followed her request. We stopped in while we were on vacation in Anchorage. The outside of the building really didn't inspire a lot of confidence, but it was next to our hotel and seemed to be a more interesting meal than the other fast dining within walking distance. The interior of the place was clean but by no means stylish. The menu offerings were pretty varied for a Mexican place with more variety than Chipotle. I ordered a combo with 2 tacos and the nachos. I couldn't believe how much food I ended up with! I was expecting a little plate of tortilla chips with some nacho cheese on them.. err what I got was a bowl piled with chips, cheese, beans, salsa and meat! I could have just ordered that, I had to take the tacos back to the hotel because I couldn't eat it all! We were both surprised by just how good, fresh and tasty the food is. The amount of food you get for the cost is huge. Especially because restaurant prices in Alaska seem very high compared to Florida. We most certainly weren't expecting such a good meal. I liked it so much I wish there were one here in Florida. Because I crave those amazing nachos. The staff was super nice, friendly and professional. There is one location in Houston TX that gets blown away by other casual fast food places like Mission Burrito and Chipotle. I was happy to find this place as I like a good burrito now and then. Quod a did not disappoint. Everything was fresh. On a side note I while choosing what I wanted on my burrito I selected pico then I asked for mild salsa. The girl said to me (pointing at the pico) "this is the mild salsa". LoL! So I told her to add some of the hot salsa. Also more sauces besides Jalapeno Tabasco and Cholula would be nice. I love this Qdoba. It's in my neighborhood, so it's very convenient. Like other reviewers have said, it's always very clean with a nice layout. Lots of windows, so great natural light. Ample parking. The condiment area is always spotless and well stocked. The kitchen is wide open, so you can see the food being prepared and how clean it is. The signage is attractive and easy to read; as you move through the line it's extremely easy to make a selection and then customize it because all the available Ingredients are right in sight. The service is fast, focused and very customer-centric. The employees have always been great - I've never seen any signs of frustration or lack of 100% dedication to what they're doing and they seem to move together really well as a team. The last few years, I've gotten used to seeing one employee in particular named Alisa who is just so great - to be honest, as much as I like the food, it's probably seeing that wide open smile on Alisa (when she's there) that I really look forward to. The food's great, the environment is great, but when you have someone who just lights up when you walk in and makes you feel like a friend, that's pretty priceless. We used to like going to this qdoba but the customer service was really terrible. The new guy they hired like a month or 2 ago was a complete dirt bag. Then as we were leaving the guy who rung us up said "don't come back" and guess what I won't and I'll make sure to tell all my family and friends to not go here either. Absolutely can't beat the flavor, freshness or variety here. I've come for at least 1 meal every other day and it never gets old--always a new option or variety that's delicious. This restaurant is by far I think the closest tex-mex food Alaska has to offer. After living in Houston i realized what real tex-mex tastes like. I have eaten her a few times and have never have a bad experience. I usually get one one their burritos, which all of their burritos and a little more authentic then what Taco bell has to offer. On top of that it is not that much more expensive than taco bell, you can easily eat there for under 10 bucks. It's also fast food sort of, they make it right in front of you, so its relatively quick. This place would be an excellent place to go during your lunch break for sure or a nice place to go for dinner. So if you like mexican and live in Alaska I would definitely stop by here. read more
