Great food, but the service could use some improvement. I'm big on customer service, and trust me when I say everyone has good and bad days. I've been doing customer service myself for over 20 years. This was my first time at Los Taquitos, and I ordered my items right away. The food was great, but I did notice an employee complaining and saying she was done for the day. She was rude enough that I told her it's my first time here, be easy on me, just over salsa. I could overhear it her complaining, and honestly, if a customer is complaining, I think the manager should step in and possibly swap employees out and move them to a different task. I know it can make a big difference when employees communicate directly with the manager instead of complaining to other employees. To be fair, she was keeping the forks, spoons, and knives stocked and was cleaning and the place was clean, so she was definitely working. she just came across a little rude. Carla, had a much better and more helpful attitude. One funny suggestion: I'd definitely relabel the hot sauces! Maybe "Mild," "Hot," and very hot. A chipotle-style sauce would also be a great addition. Overall, the food was great, and I'd be willing to come back. My wife and I came here after doing some Homegoods shopping at the Ahwatukee Foothills. A lady in the checkout line mentioned it to us as we were looking for a local place to hit up for lunch. This place was very good - family run and the food was excellent. We had some of their street tacos, guacamole and salsa, and their deep fried taco (can't remember as it was my wife's order). Their margaritas are good and strong (just a little small and served in plastic cups - which is a little lacklustre - hope they their plastic! I have been coming here since moving to A Town in 07. I eat here 2-3 times a week and everything on the menu is great. Music is fun and service is great. Margs with tajin and chamoy are bangers. Super nachos with carnitas, AZ burrito, fajitas (not on menu), chorizo burrito all fantastic. The food quality is obviously very low. They already know this when whey make their purchase order. Fake guacamole at a Mexican restaurant is wild and lazy. We added on to our order for example add avocado for an up charge. None of the up charges were added we asked for all flour tortillas all were corn. I got the 3 veggie tacos. It was just random stuff not matching the description on the menu. Pretty terrible experience and would not come back. Staff was rude our To go order was ready and the girl just sat there like we were supposed to bag it up. Normally, I'm happy with my orders from here, but today they gave me the wrong thing. I ordered a shrimp taco on corn tortillas with melted cheese in between the tortillas. The last three times I've ordered delivery I've added a request that if no salsa is available to cancel the order. The last 3 times all the burritos and tacos arrive with no salsa at all. Went here around 11:30 on a Thursday. It was busy, but my order was quickly taken and received. It was nice, clean, and colorful with cool murals on the walls. I got a 3 carne asada taco plate (beans and rice) and a chicken taco to go. The cashier offered me pickled carrots and limes which I accepted. I grabbed my own salsa cups to go. They are on the front counter for you to pour yourself which I appreciated. Everything was yummy. Only con I noted was that while the chicken in the chicken tacos had nice flavor, it was overcooked and a little dry. Everything else was yummy, hot, and well made. Those pickled carrots stole the show! They were fresh made, spicy, and still had a crunch. They were not the canned ones at all! The beans, rice, and carne asada had great flavor.
