    Create Your Own Bowl (~$15)

Ordered: Create Your Own Bowl (~$15): Brisket Birria, Extra Grilled Adobo Chicken, Half Cilantro and Half Brown Rice, Half Black and Half Pinto Beans, Pico de Gallo, Chile Corn Salsa, Chile Crema, Guacamole, Pickled Red Onions, Faiita Veggies, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Shredded Romaine Lettuce, Cotija, Crispy Tortilla Strips, Cilantro Aya's take: Qdoba is one of those places that is consistent, tasty, and filling. I decided to try their Brisket Birria which was a bit dry but had good flavor. All the toppings were delicious and I like the diversity offered here compared to at Chipotle. Kept me full for hours!

The entire establishment was filled with smoke. It took us 30 minutes to get two simple burrito orders with no line ahead of us and 5 employees behind the counter. The employees moves slower than molasses. We had to repeat ourselves constantly. Once we finally got our order we went to the soda machine and more than half of the soda options were out. I let one of the employees know and his response was "uh, ok, I'll let her know" ... who is her? I've never seen such disorganization.

I rarely get Mexican takeout but the boys are a huge fan of this Qdoba. We were near the Union Hill shopping center last night, so we decided to stop in. I ordered a burrito which was actually really delicious! The servers were all very friendly and the restaurant neat and clean. Was perfect on a chilly night. I'll be back!

Just got some Qdoba at 10:30 AM after work, the owner of the restaurant recognized me because I have came here almost every day for about a year now. He gave me double chicken I would say even triple chicken for free, free chips and salsa, and a free large drink. On top of this, he gave me a recipt for a free meal my next visit. 10/10 food and service, 5 stars.

    Metal screw in food
    Rich I.

I would not eat here ever again. First and last time I will ever eat at Qdoba. Be wary of the one in denville. Someone call the health inspector please. My friend had a large metal screw in his food. Thankfully he did not bite into it. We told the cashier what happened, and she acted like it was no big deal that there was a large screw in his food. We left rather than cause a scene, but it is pretty foul that this restaurant has long metal screws in their food. Somebody is going to break their teeth or choke. I had another friend that this happened to at a different restaurant recently. It makes me not want to eat out anymore. The cashier said that the screw must have fallen off the prep table into the bowl. She offered us a coupon and we told her to keep it. It. I am never going back In their again.

Its a chain restaurant so its just like any other qdoba. I usually get a chicken burrito or chicken nachos. Its relatively new and updated.

What matters is the food, and the food in El Mejicano is authentically superb. On Monday 11/10/25 I had lunch at El Mejicano, and I was deeply impressed by its food. Authentic? I've been to Mexico four times, each time to a different state, and each state has its own food. Authenticity comes from the person who cooks the food, and the food here is fantastic. I was served chips and salsa, which were quite good: the chips thick, the salsa a bit spicy and flavorful. I've had chips and salsa many other times, and the ones here were quite good. Then I ordered pozole. I had pozole in Mexico twice, once in Jalisco, once in Oaxaca: those two were different from one another (authentic?) Very good, that they were. This pozole in El Mejicano was delicious, pork in a red sauce, chockfull of hominy and pork pieces, with complex flavors. Not spicy, but genuinely tasteful. I couldn't finish it (and had it for lunch the next day). Adding to my delight, my lunch included two tostadas; I added bits of salsa because that's how I like them. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was delightful: a modern eclectic soundtrack added a layer of pleasure. El Mejicano is a gem, and I intend to eat there again. I highly recommend it.

First of all, the interior is just as impressive and immersive experience as the outside - it's worth a meal there just for the ambiance. But luckily it's not just about the atmosphere - the food lived up to it as well! Our favorites were the 3 cup chicken and the Mandarin pork chop. Both unique dishes that we hadn't had before and were delicious! If you like the classic american Chinese dishes, they also made a great version of chicken with broccoli.

American Chinese food was ok, though much of it was still off-temperature due to the commute over. The rice and noodle was just-ok. Not as good flavor as an AJ Bistro. Gold coin steak was saucy, yes, but meat was tough. General cho's was soggy. The more authentic Chinese dishes, though, were much better - the xiaolongbao were good, BBQ spare ribs people liked (I found too dry and lacked flavor in the middle of the rib meat, needed more marination), Shanghai bok choy with mushroom was great, lobster & scallion was excellent. Seared green beans were good. Overall, mixed bag on dishes - I think it'll be better when I go to eat in-person.
