I feel like things at this location have definitely taken a turn in the right direction over the last few years. I feel the staff has a mix of some good workers some not so good workers but that is pretty typical uncommon. The food is consistent every time I go in. The restaurant upkeep overall seems to be much better than the chipotle just up the road. I'm definitely starting to frequent this location more and I'm enjoying it. read more

I came in to get a chicken bowl and although the food was fresh the staff was quite rude. Looks like no wanted to work there or should I say Esther. I think that was her name. But she had the biggest foochie face as I walked in the door. Not sure if she had a bad day but seriously the last thing I want to encounter is a bad attitude when wanting to enjoy some food. Thankfully Quiarrah helped check me out she thanked me created me with a smile. When my food was ready she made sure I had everything in the bag. She was really nice I think she was the manager! Ever since the first time I tried Qdoba, I've always been a fan and I've maybe been to Chipotle and Moe's about 5 times total. I was truly saddened when the other Broad St. location closed because this Short Pump location is too out for f the way for me. However, I managed to make it in for the first time in about 6 months and sadly, it turned out to be one of my worst fast food experiences ever! I ordered 3 tacos and the 3 cheese nachos. When I told the guy (husky black dude with a beard and tattoos) that I wanted 3 different tacos he gave a deep sigh and rolled his eyes. While he was making the tacos, he seemed very annoyed and confused. I'm assuming either he didn't know how to make the tacos or he wasn't good at multitasking... I'm pretty sure he made them wrong because 2 of them were pretty off... When he got to my nachos, he was rushing me, even though there was only 1 other person in line. I only got 4 toppings and for every one that I said, I got more deep sighs and eye rolls. Really, wtf!?!? At this point, I'm loosing my appetite and all I wanna do is roundhouse kick this dude in his face. And finally when I told him it was to go, he gave me the look of death and mumbled something. Even though all he had to do was put a lid it. I don't care what kind of business this is, but to treat a NICE customer like that is totally unacceptable. Consistently surly and disappointing customer service from a staff that seems resentful and poorly motivated and managed. "Whaddya want?" is hardly the greeting I want to hear from the person behind the sneezeguard bar who would built the dish a customer is trying to order. If you don't walk out before you get to the cash register, you can expect not to be able to redeem any discounts accumulated on your rewards card unless you load the Qdoba app on your smart phone. (No smart phone? Tough tacos.) and then there are the frequent online come-ons and online limited time offers that somehow staff say they don't know anything about and even deny they exist. If you have a smart phone, you can call it up and prove it while other customers have to stand and wait. But that should not happen. So I will never be back to this Short Pump outlet. I might try another outlet just to see if this is limited to this one franchise or whether it's an issue across the brand. But not any time soon now that Chipotle has opened a store near my neighborhood. (I gave a one-star rating because a zero-star rating isn't possible in this app.) read more

After a tediously long and arduously slow Monday night, right before CLOSE, an employee would be obviously annoyed, but tonight... we got to experience not one, but two amazingly enthusiastic and positive woman that honestly brightened our night. It was our first time there, and as painfully obvious as it was they answered all our questions, and even informed us of everything there was to offer. My husband and I were excited to go get lunch at Qdoba. We prefer them over Chipotle or Moe's any day. This experience was not so great and we even walked out. Just want to start out with We go to Qdoba a lot and have been for the last 9 yrs and mainly this location. When we walked in my husband went to order his usual 3 taco meal with 1 steak, 1 chicken and 1 pulled pork. The guy taking and preparing our order could not understand anything we said. He just looked at us like we were stupid and then had to turn to his other line worker to see what we were saying. He didn't speak any English. The lady had to end up taking my husband's order bc the guy couldn't understand when my husband asked for 2 soft tacos and one hard shell. I ended up pointing at what I wanted to help him. We get to the register and my husband asks for his to be a combo. She ended up ringing up each taco individually for $4 each and then added the chips for almost $5. There's a combo special for $2.95 for a drink with chips and queso. My husband tried to very nicely and calmly explain that it's never been almost $19 for just his food. He tried to tell her it was supposed to be the 3 taco combo and she started telling him no, he was wrong and calling him a liar. She said bc he ordered 3 different meats it had to be charged individually. It's never been that case in 9 yrs and multiple locations. Only an upcharge if you do the shrimp. She kept talking over him and repeating. My husband told her he understood but that he'd never been charged individually. She started grabbing the information cards and showing him which didn't say anything about pricing or how to bill it. After a few more minutes of her arguing with my husband he told he he just wanted to have it remade then to chicken. She continued to push his order for $4each and almost $5 for the chips. At this point there was a line forming and bc of how disrespected we were being treated and the fact thay no one in the location was able to understand anything we were saying bc they didn't understand English. We decided it was best to just leave and go elsewhere. I was very disappointed in our visit as this is one of our fav places to eat. Truly reconsidering giving Chipotle another change and not going back here. It's a 15-20min drive from our he to get here and we have a Chipotle 2mins away. Not a racist at all and do not want to come across in thay way but if you are going to be working customer service or take orders in a English dominate country/business, you need to be able to speak and understand the language. I went to college in a city that had Qdoba before I had ever heard of Chipolte. I went to Qdoba a lot. After graduating in 2006 I don't see Qdoba that often. With time to kill and hungry I stopped at this one when I was on vacation near by. The entrance was still locked a half hour after they opened. I was about to leave but my wife suggested walking around to try other door and it was unlocked. Come on man. 101 here. Unlock doors. Walked in. Interior was very cool. Mix of steel and wood and Edison bulbs. Very cool design. Diversity of offerings here is better than chipolte. Salsa is fantastic and should be served with a straw. Not everything was great though. Soda machine had half of the flavors out and the the ones that did didn't have proper calibration. Bitter and off. Fajita veggies inconsistent texture with some peppers done well and others hardly cooked. Meat seemed rationed. Overall the food was fine but wasn't what I remembered. read more

I typcially wait in the car when my wife comes to get dinner from QDOBA, but decided to come in this tonight. I'm a fan of Chipotle had never given a chance to this restaurant. We were immediately greeted by Torre with a warm friendly welcome. My wife proceeded with her weekly order as I stood back thinking about what I works order from chipotle. Torre notices my lack of engagement and interest in the menu and asked what I would be eating on tonight. I told her that it would be Chipotle. Immediately Torre encouraged me just to try QDOBA one time and promised that I would be hooked. Convinced by Torre' s gift of persuasion, I proceeded to order. Torre inquired on what I typically order from Chipotle and made sure I had everything I needed. Her customer service skills was so amazing that I immediately had to articulate it through writing to this app. The service was amazing and the food was very tasteful. This Qdoba location is by far the poorest staffed location I've ever been to. I've been hesitant to review because honestly I feel bad for the one or two good employees that work here. They have the most inconsistent output as well. The variance from my bowl from one visit to the next is unreal. My last visit was the visit that pushed me over the top. When I can clearly see that you are low on something, I'd rather wait for y'all to make more than to have you try and skimp me, but if I ask for extra protein that costs almost $3 more....putting a half a scoop extra is insulting. Then when I ask for extra "free" topping to get attitude is pretty ridiculous. Lastly, if while I'm paying for my "extra" protein bowl I say to you that the 1 and a half scoops of it are hardly what I'd call "extra" ....maybe you don't charge for it? Y'all need to figure this place out Stat cuz it's just continually getting worse. read more

I love Qdoba because they have a wide variety of menu options including both healthy and vegetarian options. Great for crowds and takeout. Popular for lunch and dinner. They have a spacious indoor seating area. Although this location doesn't do the college student discounts they do tell you that you can sign up for their rewards program by downloading the Qdoba app to receive redeemable offers. Qdoba has a pretty casual ambience. They offer great options for children as well. The staff was friendly and served you quickly. I highly recommend getting a bowl because you seem to get a lot of food for your money's worth and the bowls are very filling not to mention deliciously satisfying! read more

Just received terrible customer service! I walked into this restaurant, the only one waiting in line, and about two groups of people were eating inside of the restaurant, basically not busy at all. I waited at the order counter for about 3 minutes while two service members ignored me. I asked if someone would be able to help me soon, and the service members' response was: "oh we have to make the mobile orders first" then she continued-making the mobile order. Still no reassurance that I would be helped soon. My response; uuhhh, ok, well someone could have at least acknowledged that they saw me. I kindly left the restaurant. read more
