This was our first time trying out Tres Machos. The food was very delicious and the service was quick and accurate. The ambiance was good and expected for a Mexican restaurant. Nothing negative to say. I definitely recommend Tres Machos.

The food was excellent, but the service was struggling a bit for me. The waiter was new so we were very accommodating to her not knowing all the menu items but she also didn't speak english and could barely understand what we were ordering. She returned to our table time and time again to ask...what kind of tortilla, what kind of drink, sugar or salt rim, how did we want our sides cooked..etc. It became a bit frustrating especially since we were one of maybe 3-4 tables in the entire restaurant. The food finally came after all the back & forth and it was good. I had the steak quesadilla and added jalapeños. It was made fresh and had plenty of flavor on the meat. The queso ordered with our chips was just ok..straight up melted cheese. The salsa was good & flavorful. Ordered a Bahama Mama & a frozen margarita- well worth the wait.

So, I ate at Tres Machos several years ago and gave it a so-so review, but going back, I'm giving it an upgrade! A group of 15 of us went in, on a Friday night. We called ahead and the staff had the tables ready for us. I'm so glad I gave this place another look because our experience last night was very different from previously and everything was delicious. Between all of us, we probably ordered 11 different dishes and I heard zero complaints from anyone. I spend a great deal of time in Mexico and my go-to is Tacos Al Pastor. While not quite like the real un Americanized Al Pastor, the Tres Machos dish was quite tasty. My order came with the standard 3 "street" tacos (they were a little larger than the real ones). I was satisfied with 2 and took the last one home where it's going to be my lunch today! The waiters were efficient and friendly. The food didn't take long to get to the table. No complaints. Perfecto!

3.8 - Service was really good. We were seated promptly. Chips & salsa, along with our drink order immediately followed. They have a nice selection of options. We decided on the chicken taco salad and the burrito fajitas. When I tell you that the food was out in 5 mins....that exactly how long it took. For the burritos, the plate was hot but the beans were lukewarm at best. I'm not a huge fan of my rice having frozen veggies in it so that was a bit off putting. The drink menu has zero prices - surprise surprise!!! all in all, it was decent. Not saying I would return considering there are so many Mexican spots to try. But definitely come out and give them a try!!!

Ordered the Birria Pizza & Enchiladas. Both were amazing and very filling. The food came out extremely fast and our waiter was great ! 10/10 recommend trying if you haven't already. We'll be back in soon

I visited Tres Machos for the first time and was pretty impressed! It's tucked away near some offices, so I didn't realize it was there until my dad mentioned hearing good things about it. Overall, the food was really good. I got the dinner combo 2 which is a chicken burrito and chicken flautas with rice and beans. The chicken was a little dry, but I put a bit of the hot sauce served with my dad's tacos and it made a huge difference. Service was okay. I am not sure if they were understaffed, but after taking our order, we didn't see our waitress until she brought the check. This meant no water refills. It took a while for our food to come out, but it was hot and fresh, so it was worth the wait. They were out of all diet sodas, which was disappointing for my sugar-free mom. Burritos just aren't as good with water. Overall, I think Tres Machos is a hidden gem. I'm sure I will be back again in the future.

Yum! The service was great. The food came out quickly and it was yummy. I enjoyed the music and the decorations in the establishment. I had a great lunch. I enjoyed the lunch Burrito San Jose filled with chicken and chorizo that was topped with a yummy cheese sauce. So filling!

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

We arrived on a Thursday night around 8 o'clock at the ever daunting and strange Brown Box Plaza…read moreparking lot. There are usually spaces available, but it is a confusing parking situation. We were seated in moments of arriving after a brief walk to the door from the parking lot. The atmosphere is authentically Mexican with no shortage of bottle-related wall furnishings or decor. The stairway in the front entrance, the chandelier, and the rafter hangings are among my favorites. Our server was Don (that may be wrong, I didn't get the printed reciept before leaving), who reminded me of a professional linebacker, was soft spoken and attentive. He was there when we needed him, and out of sight when we didn't. I ordered the Empanadas and Sweet Plantains for my entree and my partner opted for the Baja Crunch Burrito. We had been here before, so knew about what to expect from the kitchen. My empanadas were light and fluffy with some delightful flavors and added peppers, compared to other Sysco-style empanadas I have had. With only two small pouches for 10 bucks, I was disappointed. The sweet plantains were cooked to perfection, a little crisp and a little smooth and creamy. Suggestion: the empanadas and plantains would make a great entree for $12-14. The crispy chicken burrito was passable. My partner said, "The rice was slightly crunchy and the burrito was not as hot and tasty as last time." We decidedly went with the churros for dessert. I cannot tell you what they put in them, but I can tell you that every bite was as exquisite as the last. Absolute legend. Our server Ben, Don, whatever your name was, you were excellent. Thank you for providing fantastic service, my fellow sour beer enthusiast. May your tips ever increase. Casa Del Barco has a curated menu, plenty of drink options, and a half-full bar on a Thursday around 9 o'clock. It seems like a great place to go to meet a few people. I know the kitchen probably just had a rough night, and the restaurant will continue to strive for the highest quality food possible; therefore, I continue to recommend Case Del Barco if you enjoy Mexican food.
