I haven't ever had a bad experience at this location. I'm always trying different items off the menu and today I ordered a bowl where I added my own ingredients. They're always generous with their servings which I love. The only thing I am not a fan of is their side sizes, when I get guac on the side I want a whole bowl of guac and usually I have to beg them to give me a bowl size of guac. I stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch, and even with only a handful of people of customers inside, it was really hard to hear what the staff was saying, so we had to scream at each other. Luckily, the food was pretty good. I was a bit confused when I first walked up. Too many different choices. I ended up with the $6 combo and got a naked salad (basically, no taco shell) with the pork (really tasty) and the 3-cheese nachos with shredded beef (delicious). My husband and I got those coupons that the kids from the school go house to house and sell... You know the ones . We thought we would take a chance and go in because we had a buy one get one free coupon. We love those :) We were not impressed at all. The queso doesn't taste like queso. It lasts like thin canned cheese soup. The guacamole tastes chemically and NOT like an avocado. The girl that took our order folded the burrito into a ball.... Not a burrito... Making it virtually impossible to eat without a fork.... Which completely defeats the purpose of a burrito. The pork verde quesadilla was actually flavorful and quite good....... With the exception of not being crispy enough. I like my quesadillas to have a little crunch to them. I could've asked to have it cook a little longer but I didn't realize it was gonna be like that. My family and I always go here and most times it is great but today we were waiting for a very short time till we ordered and this nice lady stayed to help us and they went down the line and the Second Lady was a witch she was older and acted as the one in charge she had on glasses and was so rude! She started to talk back to us and was complaining on how things wouldn't fit or be good on the bowl (and proceeded to smash everything in the bowl when she could have put it in foil that was wide open and there full like the normally do) and was getting snappy and when we started to checkout e had the younger kid running the register who was a bit slow but he was super nice and helpful! But then the old witch came back over and started being so mean to him though he was just trying to do his job right and have great customer service (which is hard to find these days) so today (12/2/23) whoever was there and/or working at around 6:30pm (that wasn't that old witch) did an amazing job and thank you! I never write reviews but I thought this was one worth writing for many reasons! I am incredibly torn with writing a review about this place. I hate making comparisons but unfortunately, I must do so here to build a frame of reference. Chipotle and Qdoba have similar concepts. Get in line. Pick your choice of burrito, bowl, salad, etc. Brown rice or white rice? Beans? Meat? Additional items? I've always been an avid Chipotle lover as we don't have any Qdoba's close to home in California. So, here we go... The meats here always seem to be at the end of the hotel pan. It never fails no matter what time I come here. Keep in mind that these pans are heated. The longer the meat stays, the longer it cooks and the toughness increases. My biggest problem is just that. The meat isn't where it should be. The rice also isn't as tasty. I love the cilantro lime rice at its competitor. This place doesn't have the freshness and crispness to put that extra layer of flavor in a burrito. What do I like about Qdoba? Everything is included. Guac is no extra cost. Is the guacamole as good as Chipotle's? No...but Qdoba doesn't charge a ridiculous amount for it. I also like the TVs at this location. They tend to play sporting events which I really appreciate. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3. read more

I would give more, but even though the food is good and the service is decent, I am definitely not liking the fact that no one comes out to clean up the tables. After we got our food, we looked for a place to sit and eat, but that took a little bit of searching because about 12 of the tables were not clean. A little more attention to detail would go along way towards the customer experience. It seems at times that a company will become complacent because they are a popular brand. Just my two cents. My wife and I really liked this location. For several years we would go here for a quick bite, or a easy dinner option. They seemed to have lost all of their regular staff, with an exception of a few, and got new staff entirely. We kept going and it seemed like it was really a totally different place. There were several different staff members with dreads? I dont think this is good for the food buisness. Yes, please let me order food from someone who looks like they dont shower on a regular basis. At this particular visit, the staff was yelling at each other over who got a break and who didn't. The girl that was making our food stopped helping us and starting yelling at a co worker. It was crazy! So after all this happened we took a break from Qdoba for awhile. Later, we decided to try it again. We walked in and there was no one in line but us. We ordered and they could barely function enough to get our order correct. Mind you, we stand in a line and let them know what you want in or on your food. Once we went to pay, the guy with the dreads rang it up wrong, didn't charge us for a burrito or our chips, and almost forgot to take my quesadilla out of the press. We told him we were missing a part of the order, and while he was handling that, my wife started to look at the receipt. She told him once he brought back my food, that he didn't charge us correctly. He shrugged it off, couldn't be bothered by ringing it back up and said it was on the house. Really bad customer service, bad business not charging people the full price for food. I Am a loyal customer of the S Reno location. I Received the worst service ever on 12/4 at 3:00. Shorter red head girl w a merry Christmas mask didn't have her mask on correctly and was extremely rude and agitated. As I ordered my food, she angrily slapped it on the plate. I do eat at Qdoba for lunch every so often because it's fast and is the only mex place nearby. They're known for their burritos but I haven't a clue why. I'm from San Diego and maybe I'm just use to authentic Mexican. Their burritos are huge but filled mostly with just rice and beans. They tend to skimp on the meat, in my opinion, and are always extremely bland. Another thing I really dislike is the lack of salsa bar. Only thing you can add yourself is tabasco??? Boring. One thing I really really like there is the Mango Grilled Chicken salad (and this coming from someone who never enjoys mango in anything except by itself). We stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch while running errands today. I hadn't been to a Qdoba in 3 years because they've never been my favorite. This location isn't helped by having another TexMex place so nearby (Del Taco is in the adjoined parking lot). The portions are huge - even larger than we're used to seeing in increasingly obese America. There are guaranteed leftovers for all but the biggest eaters. The food ingredients are not very fresh nor of great quality, but one cannot expect too much at this price point and it is definitely edible. There is no presentation to speak of. As with most franchise establishments in the Reno area the true problems don't come from the food but from the service. In this case the employees were helpful, patient and friendly but the manager on duty at the cash register was not. Between loudly barking at us for starting in the wrong end of the ordering line (we had no idea as we had approached the counter from the rest rooms, and have not been here before), seeming impatient as we took 2 seconds to look over the available garnishes (despite there being no one in line behind us), and automatically wishing us a good day without even making eye contact, she is one lady that we won't rush to encounter again. read more

A great to-go spot! I came in with friends today on our way back to my place. We wanted something quick and easy for lunch so this was our choice. I consider this place a mexican Subway. You pick your item, your rice, your beans, your meat, your cheese, and then your toppings. My order was a naked queso shredded beef burrito. I'm not a huge fan of tortillas so I love the option to have my meal without them. I get double rice since I don't eat beans either. I'm really picky about Mexican food, obviously! A generous helping of shredded beef tops the rice and is then covered in their queso. I like the mild salsa, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream to top it off. We paid and were on our way. If I could leave zero stars, I would. This place was so skimpy on my burrito, I've never experienced a burrito from Qdoba this tiny. Not to mention their guacamole is almost $2 additional to the price. The cashier stated their prices had increased, yet their prices on the menu did not reflect the change. I really like this qdoba. It's the closest one to my house at least. The staff is always on it. Bree is awesome, and is always helping make things run smoothly. Everyone seems to be in an upbeat mood, and to be working as a team. If in need, the staff always had great input and suggestions, for those undecided customers. The food is always fresh and delicious. I always enjoy their fresh mango salsa to put on you entree in the summers. I do like their queso, and now have 3 different kinds. Variety is good! They also have a qdoba card you can sign up for, you earn points, and get free food! Free food is good. I'm a big Mexican food eater as it is, and when I can swing in quickly for some steak tacos, in and out, I'm a happy girl. ID highly recommend this location! read more

This is the best Qdoba I've been to (I've been to others in the Reno/Carson area and other places as well). Staff are friendly and the manager is great! I usually stop in here for lunch at least once per week. The food is always fresh and the portions are good. Good things I've tried here: Regular Burritos, Naked Burritos, Mango Salad, Quesadilla with pork... or my favorite: Chicken Nachos with the chips on the side. I don't understand how the majority of reviews are complaints that this restaurant is not chipotle or comments about other restaurant in the area (Del Taco is not even close to the food flavor or quality of Qdoba IMHO) or one review said there were too many items.. :S This restaurant chain is similar to others but different enough to stand out on its own. Lunchtime can be busy here, but the staff are fast and efficient and the line goes quickly. It's a great choice for lunch if you're in/near the Damonte area. read more

Well, we have to have some chains that we like, right? I'm used to Baja Fresh from SoCal and Qdoba is similar...and definitely better than Chipotle. Seemingly fresh ingredients and healthy-ish for Mexican food. The combo deal is great! The kitchen in the back had tons of dishes stacked up and the appearance didn't look like it would pass a health inspection. I'm not giving 1 star because of the food, it's because of the 1 employee that served us. Food has always been great, good portion size, and normally there's good service. But 1 (most likely new) employee showed extremely poor customer service. Young girl never acknowledged us, and stood in a daze before I finally said hi and started ordering. She was pathetic, I don't like to say that but it's true. She gave me the smallest portion of eggs and potatoes in a breakfast burrito. It was about 6 inches long total and wasn't filled completely. She was not friendly at all. Very disappointed in that one employee. Everything else was fine, but she ruined going there for me. I work in customer service, and I make a point about being nice to others that also work in it, as I know how customers can be sometimes. I went for lunch today QDOBA and was very disappointed with my lunch. I had tortilla soup, chips and diablo cheese. My soup was not temperature hot. I asked if they could reheat it so it would be hot. They said they did not have that capacity to do it but that they would remake my soup which I appreciated the attempt. The soup still not hot. The chips were good and the Diablo Cheese dip was good. I really liked the Habanera salsa. Paid $12.78 for lunch that was minimal. Will not go back. Staff were nice but soup was not satisfactory.
