Some food is very good. Other stuff meh. Issue I have is whether take out or order in they have messed up out order every time including last night. Beyond three strikes. We're out. Not going back.

Been here a few times since my last review. My gma loves this place so when I visit she always wants to eat here :) Food was delicious of course! Recently tried the tofu fried rice and LOVED it. The only thing I wish is that everyone's food would come out at the same time. I was sitting there for awhile with my food because I didn't want to eat until my grandma got hers. I ordered everything at once too. But still- love this spot.

We came here because a friend from Shaanxi recommended it, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The owner was super nice, and you can tell they really care about the food. We ordered the House Specialty Xi An Beef & Lamb Bread Soup, Beef Noodle Soup with Chunky Beef, Lamb Skewers, and Egg Fried Rice. Everything came in huge portions, especially the noodle dishes. The hand-shaved noodles had a great chewy texture, the beef was really tender, and the lamb skewers were fresh and flavorful. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

EverSpring delivers a fresh, modern take on Chinese classics that strikes a nice balance between traditional flavor and quick-casual appeal. Signature dishes like the crispy beef are consistently highlighted as a must-try, offering bold flavors and satisfying textures. Other popular choices include orange chicken, potstickers, handmade soup dumplings, and a range of bento box options -- each showcasing fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Diners note the food is flavorful and well executed, though portions can feel moderate compared with some fast-casual spots. Highlights: Crispy beef with a rich, savory profile Fresh, hand-crafted dumplings and sesame balls Balanced classics like egg fried rice and stir-fried veggies Overall, the food earns strong praise for taste and quality -- especially for a quick-service concept. Ambiance The vibe here is modern, clean, and casual, well suited for laid-back meals with friends, family, or solo dining. The interior has bright, contemporary design cues and an open floor plan that feels relaxed rather than formal. Ordering is done via self-service kiosks at the counter, which helps keep the feel streamlined and efficient. One of the standout features of the space is the robot that delivers food to your table -- a fun, tech-forward twist that many guests enjoy, especially families with kids. The atmosphere is friendly and approachable, making it ideal for quick lunch or dinner outings without fuss. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating options make coming and going easy, adding to the overall comfort of the setting. ‍ Service Service at EverSpring is consistently described as amazing and kind. Staff go out of their way to explain the ordering process, assist with menu questions, and ensure guests understand how the system works -- especially helpful if it's your first visit. Even with the quick-service model, the team maintains a personal touch: friendly interactions, clear communication, and prompt attention to any issues. Coupled with the novelty of robotic delivery, the blend of technology and warm hospitality makes the service feel both efficient and welcoming.

Review 19/365 Review Challenge This is like a fast food style Modern Chinese Food. Simple wall decor. Open floor plan with indoor seatings along they have patio tables are chairs outdoor available. You order at the Kiosk or at the register. Associate can assist help take your order. Servers and sometimes a robotic machine will bring the items to you at your table. What we ordered ~ Cucumber Salad is a great complimented to our entrees. Refreshing and crunchy goodness. ~ Chili Pork Wonton is good. Not spicy at all. ~ Orange Chicken is good flavoring. Battered perfectly & fried. ~ Mongolian Beef is highly recommended. Tender and great size with lots of sliced up onions and green onions. ~ Chicken Fried Rice is good w carrots & peas, like traditional fried rice. ~ Salt & Pepper Pork Chops had a really awkward floral taste to it. We had 2 orders that came out separate of time and they both had an odd taste to it. ~ Egg Custard Sesame Balls 流沙麻团 for dessert. Custard is really eggy but good and the sesame ball is fried to perfection. Server was nice and we got our items in a timely manner. There are plates, utensils, to go box at the counter near the fountain drink station. Bottled drinks like sweet tea & coconut water available. Located in the Tustin Marketplace, a few doors down from Dairy Queen. Lots of parking available.

Crispy beef? Where's the beef!? Tasted like fair fried sauced batter. Asked for refund. You been warned.

Really disappointing. I'm from the region this restaurant is supposed to represent, and the food tasted nothing like authentic Northwestern Chinese cuisine. The flavors were completely off and honestly just bad. Two noodle dishes cost around $50 with barely any meat, which is ridiculous considering there's basically no service at all. You order at a kiosk, get your own utensils, and pour your own water. The food also took forever to come out. A complete waste of money.

Din Tai Fung without the wait! EverSpring Modern Chinese in Tustin is known its flavorful, modern Chinese food like Crispy Beef, Orange Chicken, and Soup Dumping served in a fast casual setting with fun robot server. Their food is packed with flavor. The egg custard sesame ball is filled with lava egg custard. The adorable robot servers delivering food is a big hit, adding a fun, modern touch. They use fresh ingredients especially the orange chicken; it is prepared with Fresh Orange juice. They use biodegradable plates and utensils. EverSpring Modern Chinese offers a solid, modern Chinese dining experience making it a popular spot for flavorful quick meals or family outings.  Must try : -crispy beef -new -Soup dumpling- new -Orange chicken - hot and sour soup -angus steak and black pepper sauce -shrimp and pork wonton soup -pork sticker -chili pork wonton -honey walnut shrimp -egg custard sesame ball -cucumber salads

Overall food hit the spot for my cravings but did not wow me in flavor. Crispy beef: as the name suggests, the beef definitely is crispy. It did not have much flavor itself tho. Like I was eating more driven by its appearance and texture than actual taste and I wished it was a bit more meaty to pair with the crispiness. I'm intrigued to try it again tho to see if I like it enough to continue getting or not. Orange chicken: I saw multiple reviews not loving the chicken because it was tough but most of my pieces were normal with a few tough pieces. Overall enjoyable but I'd prefer panda express's over this.

EverSpring Modern Chinese in Tustin just became our new go-to for Chinese food! Came here for a late lunch and left completely stuffed and happy. The menu has all the classics done really well with fresh ingredients and spot-on flavors. Standouts from our massive order: - Crispy Beef - perfectly tender inside, super crunchy outside, not too spicy - Orange Chicken - juicy pieces with that tangy sauce and regular spice kick - Crispy Duck - beautifully golden and rich - Black Bean Fish Fillet - tender fish in a savory sauce - Stir-Fried String Beans - garlicky and just the right regular spice - Pork Soup Dumplings - juicy and comforting - Both Hot & Sour and Creamy Corn Egg Drop Soups were excellent - Finished with the Egg Custard Sesame Balls - warm, crispy, gooey perfection The restaurant itself is spotless and modern, with a cool high-tech twist: robots bring your food to the table! It's such a fun touch and makes the whole experience feel convenient and seamless. Ordering is easy at the kiosks, food came out fast, and portions are huge. Staff were friendly and great with recommendations too. Bonus: they do catering! If you're in Tustin, Irvine or nearby, definitely check this place out--you won't be disappointed. Already planning our next visit!

    Happy hour specials!

The best Chinese restaurant in Tustin by far! The prices are very fair and the food is very good! We have ordered a lot from the menu over the past visits and have been happy with all the dishes. We usually order the signature crispy beef dish, chicken chow mein, honey walnut shrimp, and we go back and fourthe between the sweet n sour chicken and the orange chicken. We usually call our order ahead of time and it is always ready in the time that they quote us. The food is so freshly made it still tastes very fresh even when we take it to go and eat it at home. There are daily specials you can order before 5 pm so be on the lookout for that! It has saved us a good amount of money. We will be back again very soon!

    Orange Chicken Everspring Bento Box

This continues to be a go to place for us. It's usually solid. On last order the hot and sour soup, wontons, spring/egg rolls, mapo tofu, and green beans were all great. The orange chicken wasn't bright and fresh like the previous picture I had shared. It was darker and tasted overfried and we didn't finish it. Overall, we like this place and will keep frequenting it.

I've been curious about this place for a while since the pictures and reviews seemed good but was apprehensive about the prices for the quantity and quality of food. I finally tried it because I had a coupon for a free veggie spring roll appetizer with a purchase of $20 or more. The fast casual ambiance was very contemporary, and you can tell they lean into this with their self order kiosks and robot delivery. But to use the coupon, I ended up ordering with the cashier, which was nice to ask questions about the portion size. The rest of the experience was unfortunately downhill. They forgot to give us a number, so the robot delivered our free spring rolls to the wrong table, which the other customers did not report. It took a while for the workers to notice and eventually send a new order our way. Having the time to observe this for a while, it generally seemed like the robot has more of a gimmick than a tool to increase their efficiency. Food-wise, we were also not impressed. While the flavor was acceptable, the texture of the orange chicken was pretty abysmal. A large proportion of the dish was just the batter, so despite the outer appearance, the slim niblets of dry chicken breast were overpowered by the stale and extremely tough exterior. Moreover, the portion size was not as large as we were led to believe, especially given the price. The steamed white rice that it came with was also extremely dry and looked like it might have been old. (0/5) The veggie spring rolls were underwhelming and rather starchy, especially because the filling was on the sparse side. This was a let down because the photos of the shrimp egg roll looked much more promising, but maybe I ordered wrong. (2/5) But! The pork soup dumplings saved the meal. Came out fresh enough to burn our mouths, with a welcoming curl of steam when you open the basket. Surprisingly, they were not in individual tins and actually looked plump and supple, with a delicate wrap that held its own and wasn't sweet (a personal preference over more fragrant dough). Filling flavor is nothing to write home about, your standard morsel of slightly tough salty pork, but the quality of this XLB was leagues above the rest of the meal. Sort of on the pricey side, but worth a try if you're here already. (4/5) Overall, it was a rocky experience, and maybe the highs and lows eclipsed each other. As it stands, I don't think I would come back, but at least it's crossed off my list

Hi, do you no longer make the dry chili chicken entree?

Hi. Unfortunately we no longer offer Dry Chili Chicken, but feel free to browse our menu for some new options we recently added!

What vegetables are in vegetable chow mein. I like what ingredients I can see on menu but it doesn't give full list. Like also celery, and onions? And can I have chicken or shrimp instead of tofu?

Hi, the veggie chow mein comes with bok choy and broccoli.

    Open on Christmas?

    Yes we are! :)

Are there any dishes I can order to be prepared without soy sauce?

Yes, we can make some of the options without soy sauce or gluten free soy sauce. Please feel free to call us to place an order and our associates can help you navigate the options :)

Do you have gluten free options?

We can do our best to accommodate this for some of our dishes. Please call us to request this option when you order. Thank you!

Is anything vegan on the menu or only vegetarian?

Hi! Yes we do have several dishes that are very vegan friendly: mapo tofu, stir fry mixed veggies, stir fry string beans, veggie potstickers, veggie spring rolls, and veggie chow mein are all very tasty treats. If you want to try our veggie fried…

Do you use msg in your food? Can you make the food without it if asked? I have an allergy to it so that’s why I want to see if yo can make it without it.

Hi, we do not use msg but chicken bouillon and mushroom bouillon instead. Is that okay for you?

What kind of cooking oil do you use?

    Hi, we use Soybean Oil.

Are you open yet? Drove by and the windows are still covered up and say "Coming Soon"

Yes, they are doing the soft opening now. Free drink or soup, also free steam rice with each main dish. Grand opening is on 4/26.

Their xiao long bao is also really good and definitely comparable to Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the dumplings and wontons were so moist and flavorful. The beef roll is a MUST. Unlike some places where it can be dry, theirs had the perfect amount of sauce and was so good. Also get the lava egg yolk steamed buns. So soft, moist, fresh, and delicious. But surprisingly, one of the biggest standouts was their drinks. They use real tea, and their taro milk tea completely changed my mind about taro drinks. Fresh taro mixed with real tea, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I would literally come here just for the drinks. If you love boba, you need to try them. Just be prepared to wait because this place gets BUSY. Lunchtime was packed, and we came around 3 PM and were lucky to get a spot. Everything was so satisfying without feeling overly heavy afterward. Definitely one of my new favorite finds and a place I'll be coming back to again and again.

However, when we got home, we realized they left behind 3 pieces of our beef roll (one order comes with 6 pieces, and we had only eaten 3). I keep thinking how to surpass the food and wine pairing at Chang An, and for my latest visit, I…read moreshifted my focus entirely toward a different mountain, flawless structural precision and critical perfection. To test Chang An's kitchen against ultimate balance, I anchored the table with dual 100 point perfect vintages, the 2015 Lafite and the 2009 Petrus, using their spectacular roasted duck as a canvas to build experimental, multi meat mixture bites. Left Bank Structural Test: The 2015 Lafite brought a massive and focused tannic spine. I pushed it to another level by combining roasted duck and tender deep-fried beef tongue into a single bite. The result was mind blowing. The dual-fat layer of rendering duck skin and velvety tongue completely melted the Lafite's powerful tannins, transforming a muscle bound 1st growth into pure silk. Right Bank Opulence Test: Bringing in the grand, velvety weight of the 2009 Petrus this time, I created a rich hybrid bite of duck fat and deep fried lamb brisket. The seamless, opulent 100% Merlot texture of this perfect vintage effortlessly embraced the gamey, crispy richness of the lamb without a single harsh edge. I came to see if perfect scores could handle creative culinary boundary pushing, and Chang An's kitchen and these two iconic bottles answered with a resounding YES!!!

The service is fast, attentive and the ambiance feels inviting and open. Make sure you call ahead to reserve the Peking Duck when making your reservation. You won't be able to order at the restaurant.

I went to the A&J in SGV over a decade ago and was thrilled there is one in Irvine. They have the usual Taiwanese staples like nu rou mian (beef noodle soup), beef roll, and green onion pancake but they're done exceptionally well and have abundant portions. Bonus for me is they have a very cheap zhua bing, which I don't usually see on menus. The Beijing style meat pie / hand pie was absolute fire and should be enjoyed immediately upon serving when it's still burning hot. It's sold by the each so you'll have to buy multiple if you're dining with people since I'll can't split one with all the e juicy broth inside. They have other basic items like Chinese zhajiangmein (perfect for kiddos) and lots of other noodle dishes. Avoid the potstickers -- something was really off with the flavor th3 day I went and I usually don't turn away fried dumplings. Plenty of parking!

We ordered combo C while making a few substitutions to our order along with a few additions. This combo fed 4 people and there was plenty of food left over. We did have a slight language barrier with our server who unfortunately brought out our meal incorrect multiple times. Our server however was quick to correct his mistakes and very apologetic. Good customer service in spite of mistakes goes a long way. The atmosphere is casual, and low playing 80's rock echoed throughout the dining area. The restaurant had a relatively small dining room which wasn't overly crowded at 6pm-ish on a Friday night. The bar counter hosted a couple guests as well. The honey walnut shrimp was arguably my favorite meat, while the house chow mein was my favorite side. The restaurant provided complimentary fried wonton crisps complimented by sweet and sour dipping sauce. This was the perfect starter prior to our food coming out. I look forward to returning for the great customer service and fresh prepared food. ***CLOSED MONDAYS***

Looks like a converted bar with plenty of booths. Our no nonsense server warmed up to us as lunch progressed. We ordered sweet and sour and king pao chicken from the somewhat (?) lunch menu, both very inexpensive. My wife liked the hot n sour soup. My egg flower soup was a STAR! Not too thick, great flavor and nice and hot! Some large egg rolls were included. A little oily for my taste but again, Irene liked hers. You can ask for some S&S/mustard dipping sauce. A slightly different take on how they prepared the mustard. The sweet and sour was decent breaded chicken with good homemade sauce, chopped onions and peppers. No pineapple darn it. My Kung Pao could have been called Kung zucchini! That was okay as the portion was huge and I shared some. Plenty of peanuts too (I wished they had been cooked inside the wok..). More than enough fried rice (we took some home. I always ask myself would we come back? A resounding yes as I have to try their egg foo young! I admit I was disappointed that the tea is in a single serve bag instead of a pot.
