We were grateful that QTea was open last week because we were really craving boba milk tea during this awful pandemic. As instructed by Cindy, the QTea owner, to order ahead online or by calling, we called ahead to place our order. The process was quick, easy and painless. We ordered two Black Milk Tea with Boba, 30% sugar. The tea was spot on, I could taste the tea and I really liked it that way. The sweetness level was really to my liking too, at 30%. The boba was well cooked as well, but one constructive criticism that I had was I wish the boba was much more sweetened. When consumed with the drink, the boba almost tasted a little bland in comparison to the drink. I think that would be a one major departure from their previous drinks when they were iTea. But I still think they make good milk tea drinks :) Oh and their customer service was top notch. read more

i used to go to this place a lot when they first opened. but then they started watering down the tea a bit. and then i got realllyyy bad food poisoning from their tea once. obviously i can't be 100% sure but i am 99% sure. and i noticed that they don't consistently charge people the same amount of money. that is, sometimes they'll sneak in extra or sometimes they'll not charge some others on tax. i can't tell what the reasoning is behind this. favoritism? it makes no sense. so make sure to TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT!! and count your change if you're paying in cash!!!! the owner will literally shortchange you! it's ridiculous this needs to be called out. i won't be going back to this place because of their shady practices and possible freshness issues. read more

Gave it a second try because the owner reached out to me and guaranteed that they would take my feedback to heart. Well, definitely the drinks were done in a timely manner and there was no sick employee making our drinks. So that's good. We got a super fruit tea and a mango frosty. Overall it was ok. Nothing to brag about and we have had better of both drinks in San Leandro iTea to be specific. So that's something this location needs to improve on. I can't pinpoint what exactly is the cause of the difference though I get it made the same way in terms of level of sugar and ice. read more

It was hot Monday afternoon. I was traveling back from a road trip with some girlfriends and we were craving some boba and popcorn chicken. What a great find on Yelp. Tons of tea, coffee and fruit boba options. Totally fresh boba and refreshing drinks. The popcorn chicken was absolutely delicious along with an extra chicken wing order. Perfectly fried and seasoned. The chicken wings came with a nice creamy dipping sauce along with other standard sauces. Again, the weather was so hot, so the shop put out a table and chairs out in the back of The shop, since the front of the shop had no shade. They went above and beyond. Great customer service! I've been coming to QTea since it opened, and I've never been disappointed. They have a variety of drink and snack options such as milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, popcorn chicken, and takoyaki. Service is fast and efficient; they also started take out ordering via text during COVID, which has been very helpful. The staff there are very friendly as well. The quality of their tea is fantastic, and you can adjust the level of sugar and ice to suit your tastes and needs. Fruit teas can be ordered with less caffeine as well. Snacks can also have their level of spiciness adjusted (i.e. mild, spicy, not spicy). I highly recommend QTea to anyone who likes milk tea! read more

We came in on Xmas day since we were craving some boba. This was the only shop we could find open in a 15 mile radius and wow were we happy. The shop itself is pretty quaint, with limited seating. However, the menu this place offers is probably one of the most comprehensive I've seen. I personally got the Hokkaido milk tea with mango pudding at 50% sugar and regular ice. This was one of the few times that I've asked for 50% sugar and actually gotten a drink that wasn't overly sweet. The pudding was fresh and soft, and overall the quality here was pretty solid. What really put them over the top was the popcorn chicken. We got a mild popcorn chicken with white meat and the portion size was HUGE. Each nugget was juicy and well seasoned, and not overly covered in batter. This easily could have been a meal on its own! read more

I ordered the almond green tea with almond pudding. What a disappointment. I could taste the almond in the drink. The only almond I could taste is the pudding and it was a really light almond flavor. We have been coming here for years. By far, they have the best teas in the nearing areas. My husband and i always get the white peach milk tea and white peach regular tea and when i noticed another yelper mentioning that the peach tea wasn't good at all i felt compelled to write a review of my own. To set the record straight, there is no peach syrup or anything in that nature. It is an actual white peach tea which is then sweetened with sweetener or honey so yes the flavor is mild since It is just the tea, but none the less it is still great and unique in comparison to what other bobs shops offer (tea variety wise). I've tried the Qtea back in Newark and was wondering if it was the same chain as the one in Dublin so I had to come check it out. I had the honey brown rice milk tea with boba and I do have to say it was pretty decent. You can definitely taste the brown rice flavor infused with the tea. I do like the option of choosing your own sugar and ice level so I went with 80% on both. Sweetness was just right, and the boba was still holding up even after a 10 minute car ride. It had a pretty good texture, nice and chewy and not hard at all. However, the drink didn't leave an overall impression on me. I heard that it switched over from an iTea the overall tea flavor seemed relatively familiar to me. You can never go wrong with their popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned and crispy, just little umami grenades exploding on your palette every time you pop one into your mouth. Although I got all white meat, the chicken was still juicy and not dry at all. Good tea spot overall if you ever need to satisfy your milk tea and boba craving. read more

My family and I are regulars at QTea. We stop in a couple times a week. My kids love visiting Cindy and Spenser (the owners) and their favorite tea is the Mango Fruit Tea and the Mango/Strawberry Fruit Tea with Mango popping boba. My go-to is the Jasmine Milk Tea with soy milk, and egg pudding and boba as toppings. Such a treat that probably isn't helping my waist line any! (Lol!) My husband likes to rotate between all the drinks on the menu, but one of his favorites is the winter melon milk tea. Really all of their drinks are delicious, flavorful, and made fresh. I've never tasted anything I didn't like. Also they have snacks, my kids love their chicken wings and my husband and I love the crispy chicken with extra spice. For those unaware, QTea was formerly known as iTea but the owners decided to start their own business instead of limiting themselves to a franchise. It's still the same owners and top quality service! Another tip, unless a menu item states "fresh milk" their milk tea creamer is dairy free. Much easier on the belly. I regret trying this place..... What a waste of money. I got the matcha red bean smoothie & it was EXTREMELY Bitter.. I don't think there is any type of milk tea that is suppose to be bitter. Their drinks are priced very high so I had hoped I would get what I was paying for. Out of all honesty, I would have rather gotten quickly's.
