Dropped a belt off to have 1 1/2" cut off of the tongue. The owner insisted that he must cut the opposite side where it actually connected to the belt. It had animals on the belt and he cut 1/2 of the pig off. This was not supposed to be effected. I called to discuss it and he was rude and screaming @ me stating that I knew what he was going to do. He owes me $185.00 plus $40.00 for the work done. He said he would give me $20.00 back. Will make this mission to get my money back. This is the second time I have had a bad experience with them. Stopped by this shop to have some golf shoes cleaned up. They didn't stock any Polish that matched the shoes (only had black, brown, and white... odd for a shoe repair shop) so I decided to just get a good cleaning. Paid $20 and looks like I got a quick wipe down. Still lots of dirt in the leather (see picture) and they didn't even bother to remove the shoes laces to clean the tongue. Service requested was not satisfactory at all. I only wanted my heel to be cut off one inch. When I picked it up the heel had not been touched after he assured me it could be done. Then they charged me a whopping 25 for absolutely nothing. When I asked him why my shoe heel had not been touched he was screaming at me in a very rude manner saying no more no more no more and his wife was saying the same thing I called back on the phone and he was screaming at me again in the phone but when my daughter talked to him he told her he cut one half an inch off and spoke playing English when he talked to her. I have five other pair of shoes that needed repairing but I will not take them back to his store I do not appreciate the way he treated me and I will give him a zero if I could for POOR QUALITY SERVICE AND RUDE MANNER OF TALKING TO CUSTOMERS. read more

Great work. I've gone there twice. The first time I needed fast turnaround for a business trip and they got it done early. Not only did they get it done earlier than asked, but it was exceptional quality and they actually called me to let me know the boots were ready! The second time again high-quality time completed about a day earlier than the projected date. Will absolutely go back. I just need two taps put on the heels of 1 pair of boots. They wanted to charge me $10 per shoe! On top of that, they wanted me to pre-pay. I called to see what the cost would be to have a Goodyear Neolite 1/2 sole glued to a Brass Boot Tie Shoe. Now if you are a shoe repair you should know Brass Boot. The person on the other end did not speak good English, I explained in plain terms what I wanted. He said have to see it. I asked again what he would charge for this service, glue the 1/2 sole to a shoe, no repairs to the shoe. He said again I have to see. I said I would be coming form a distance and that is why we have phones. Again I asked how much would it cost. He said have to see no tell price. this is not the place to go if they can not give a price for a simple job of gluing a Neolite 1/2 sole to a shoe. If I could give zero stars, I would. This shoe repair shop ruined a pair of boots that I took in for re-heeling--they applied some sort of shellac to polish them which crackled and looked horrible. I decided to give them one more chance after my favorite shoe repair shop closed. Again, I took in a pair of boots for re-heeling. During the repair process the soles of the boots crumbled, yet they did not call me to ask if I was still interested in the new heels; nor did they ask if I would like the soles repaired. They did not indicate in any way that they knew the soles were crumbling. As I had been asked to pre-pay, the invoice was already paid. I was handed my boots in a paper bag and did not realize I had just paid for a useless pair of boots to have a new heel until I got home. I view this behavior as unethical. Needless to say, I will not ever be giving them another chance. read more

I mean, I go here because it's close by for me but I feel like they just make up prices which annoys me. I just needed to get the little heel things replaced on my boots and some heels. They charged me more because they are boots but the piece is the same size as the heels... does not make sense? After I told them, no... it's okay... they dropped the price. Need to find a new place. This is a great place in Raleigh that I have been going to since 2004. The shop is run by a very friendly Korean couple and I have been very, very pleased with their service over the years. They make your shoes look like new. I have had shoes and boots re-heeled, re-toed, re-soled as well as having the inner arch/lining repaired. While I'm all about buying new shoes, I love taking care of the ones I own and this place has enabled me to significantly extend the life of expensive boots and shoes. They also do a great job on purses: a few years ago a friend had her purse stolen out of her car in Durham. The empty purse was found abandoned in downtown Durham. The nice folks at Quail Ridge Shoe Repair made her leather Kate Spade purse look like new - and it had been pretty worked over. They will ask you to pay at the time that you drop your shoes off for repair, so don't forget to pick up your shoes! read more

Don't waste your money here. Can't speak english, no set prices, and you have to pay up front because you will be mad when you go to get your "repair". Glue all over, terrible cuts disgraceful workmanship. I've been getting an orthopedic lift for 30 years and have never seen such shoddy work. Its like a kindergarten art class. read more
