You can find the "Lube" inside the Cleveland Airport across from gate B6 - quite handy if you're catching a Delta flight. I ate there yesterday returning to Atlanta from a business trip to Cleveland. There aren't a lot of sit-down restaurants at this airport, it's mostly fast-casual and those that provide seating generally have a large bar to accommodate travelers who like to get adjusted prior to flying. I arrived shortly before lunch so it was easy to find a seat - I opted for one end of the bar as I'm traveling by myself - I find it's just easier and doesn't take up tables that the servers rely on for multiple turns. The attractive bartender came by and after finding out the taplist (one lager and on IPA) I then ran through available softdrinks - as an Atlanta resident I demurred on the Pepsi products and just had a glass of water. Looking over the menu it was fairly sandwich focused with various bar items like wings and fried food. I asked the server what she liked and surprisingly she said "all the food here is good." Taking her at her word I ordered the gyro wrap substituting a salad for the fry/chips option. The food took about 10 minutes - not bad. At first I was a bit dismayed by the big glob of tsatziki filling the mouth of the wrap - but once I distributed it along the length it was fine - I'd recommend providing a side (and I probably should have asked for it on the side). I find that gyros in general are really hit-or-miss - I've had some really terrible ones. This one surprised me as it was quite good - fresh fluffy pita and crisped up beef/lamb gyro meat. The salad was served on the same plate and fairly massive -I was happy. Overall the food was better than I expected (I've eaten at a lot of airport restaurants over the years so my expectations are quite low). Do not recommend. Very busy and I'm assuming they are short-staffed. The guy next to me waited an hour to get his food. My food came out fast but should have been cooked longer. My wings looked nothing like the picture on the menu. My onion rings were fried to a crisp. The onion inside was basically nonexistent. The servers are overwhelmed so not very friendly. Came here for an early lunch on a slow day. We were seated immediately but the food took a whileee to come (beware if you don't have much down time before your flight, even if the place doesn't look busy). The interior felt a little outdated, but so does the whole airport lol. The food was eh. I got a fried chicken sandwich and wished I went to a Popeyes instead, not well-seasoned and dry with only mayo packets to dress it up. My sister got the garlic cheese curd caesar w steak bites and the steak was very well-done and presentation was lacking along with overall flavor. The cheese curd bites were really yummy though!! I stopped at this Quaker Lube in the Cleveland airport recently. It's located near B5 gate. It's a tight squeeze with a bar area and about 20 tables but it works. My server Billy was exceptional at handling the various tables and getting everyone's order out. Billy's customer service was excellent as well. I wanted to order wings as I did miss eating them when I lived in Cleveland. However, $10 for 5 wings wasn't going to cut it for me. I ordered the Lube burger with fries. We needed lunch and we didn't want to miss our flight (which right across the walkway). Been a while since I've had Quaker Steak and the wings are just as filling as I remember. The flavor of the sauce was there in abundance, meaning there was extra in the tray and on each wing. We were greeted and told we could pick anywhere and our server would be right with us. Our server must've been the only one in at the time, we waited about 10-15 minutes before she came over and took our order. She then came back a few minutes later to confirm which sauce I wanted, which is fine, but maybe write things down and repeat back to confirm. Food took a while but it came out hot and ready. The seating area started getting more and more full and other guests were getting very antsy. Some folks just got up and left with no order taken. I usually stay away from airport restaurants because they're usually a poor representation of a licensed concept. Airport concessions can be a nightmare because there could be a licensed operator and another 3rd party partner or joint venture partner in addition to the brand. With that many hands expecting a profit it usually results in some combination or all of the following: poor/cheap quality ingredients, limited/vastly different menu, limited number of associates to as many as 1 person doing everything just to name a few. Like I said usually; some find a balance that works for them. All that to say for an airport restaurant Quaker Steak pleasantly surprised me. The food was cooked AND presented well, it wasn't dry or greasy. The lettuce and tomatoes weren't falling out of the bun. It was cooked to order. The fries weren't old, they were crispy and I could taste the French fry rather than the oil they were fried in. They had a root beer that tasted phenomenal. If I didn't have to take a work meeting I would have tried an adult beverage as they seemed to have their own mixed drinks that looked good. I mean even my waitress was pleasant and helped me pick out what I wanted. I'd usually give this a 3 but for an airport they are a definitely a 4. Not a 5 as the food was average but considering that it was a full house and I got my food in a decent amount of time and was greeted immediately while the waitress was carrying 2 separate tables' orders I feel that should be reflected. Also the prices weren't outrageous. I've had to pay $20 for a medium combo at a McDonald's in the airport before because I didn't want to spend $30+ for a burger and fries somewhere that didn't even come with a drink. All to say if you're traveling through CLE and are hungry but don't want to bust your travel budget give this place a try. read more

Airport food is not known for its quality and value. So, I'm here mostly for convenience and opportunity and went in with low expectations. I was greeted by a blonde woman still sucking down a chicken bone. She seemed bothered that she had to walk away from her plate of wings to take my order. I ordered the Bloody Mary because it looked good in the photo. Unlike the photo, she added nothing to the rim what looks like should have been tajin. It was the blandest most tomato juice drink ever. I added hot sauce, black pepper, and even salt to give it some sort Bloody Mary flavor- I don't even taste the vodka so, I don't even have that help. Actually, it could be mixed with water too it's so watered down and easy to drink. In fact, two women sat next to me at the bar and also ordered Bloody Marys and I overheard them talking saying, so you taste alcohol? The other woman said no, and I think it needs pepper or something. I handed them my pepper, salt, and hot sauce and told them this will make it a little better. The omelet was pretty eh, and something you'd get at concession stands served on a paper plate. The home fries like everything else bland AF. NO FLAVOR ANYWHERE! I'm not sure why I've been going to the Pub every time I'm at the airport and hating every experience there that's filled with ridiculously horrible service and mediocre food, when right down the B terminal lies Quaker Steak & Lube. The food here is good, in my opinion. Good fries, good wings, and AMAZING fried pickles - always get the jalapeño ranch! Very tasty - with just the right kick. Their beer selection is fine for the airport and most importantly, their service is great! Always fast and always friendly. I've encountered some of the worst service at the airport between the Pub and Great Lakes (Panini's hasn't been too bad) - so it's a nice, refreshing change to see some great service at this airport restaurant! It's not like the Cleveland airport is ridiculously big, so regardless of what terminal I'm flying out of, if I want some drinks and food, I'll definitely be returning here instead of the other options the airport has to offer. PS some tables that line the walls are right next to an outlet, so be sure to scope those out when you seat yourself if you need to charge up before your flight. read more

When we went on a short trip up to Cleveland for an art exhibit, my stepdad swore he had to try Quaker Steak & Lube. We got busy and forgot until we hit the airport. Then, right next to our gate, we saw it. My parents, my husband and I ate there quickly before our flight, and while the hurry may have impacted our judgment, we weren't blown away. It seemed like a Buffalo Wild Wings or any other chain that offers beer, wings, and other fried foods. Still, the food was alright, and we got the experience. Thank goodness for the airport QS&L, or we would've completely forgotten about it! We'll be sure to hit a real brick and mortar next time we're in town. There isn't too much of a selection at CLE so this place has been my go to dinner + drink before my weekly trek to B2. Wings are pretty good but I think I'll just stick with the standard hot / atomic wings. The others are just straight out of the bottle and smothered on the wings. Fries are nice and crispy. Not at all healthy for you though. Good luck trying to hold it all in on the plane. Staff is pretty friendly but remember they do close early so be prepared to wolf down some chicken and beer. Okay, so I'm a big chicken wing fan and was in the Cleveland Airport on business. Had some time and I have heard good things about this place so I thought I would give it a try. No one greeted me, I had to wander in and find a server to be seated. Then I ordered a dozen boneless wings (I was in a suit and didn't want to sauce on it) half original buffalo flavor and half BBQ. It took quite a while to get the order and when it came out, I was disappointed to say the least. The chicken pieces looked like slightly large chicken McNuggets. The Buffalo wings had hardly any sauce on them were in the bottom of the basket covered up by the BBQ wings which had a ton of sauce on them. I pointed this out to the waitress and just got a shrug in return. When the check came there was a $.99 charge because I had ordered two different sauces. I asked the manager to remove the charge and she said she couldn't. I am in the Cleveland Airport a lot, but I will never get dinner here again. read more
