If I could give this review no stars I would. Choose any other place then this location. My boyfriend and I checked in at 10 at night and there were so many odd events that occurred. There were at least 3 people with injuries (people in casts, with crutches, etc) walking around late at night. The clientele made me want to lock my door but the lock to the hotel room was broken. I was calling the hotel company on the balcony to get my money back and then there was a suitcase thrown from the floor above me (the 3rd floor). My boyfriend and I made sure not to touch anything in that room and ran out of there as soon as we could. This place is a dump. read more

Do 0 stars exist? We arrived at 11:00 pm . It looked decent . We get to the room one key card doesn't work ... no biggie ,it happens. Get into the room and there's no TV remote, no ice bucket ,but there's 3 "rodent" traps , we had two whole cups to drink out of . Down to the desk we go ... guy was talking to his GF on the phone and basically threw the stuff at us ,we get a remote , get an ice bucket with NO plastic bag liner cuz apparently even though they're all masked up they don't care about covid when it comes to us . The room is hot ...turn on the AC it doesn't work . I take a shower, there's ONLY 2 towels , As in NO hand towels or face cloths . This hotel is filthy. I do not believe it gets cleaned. It was the only place left in Worcester with space. Luckily we were in town for a concert and only went back to sleep. THERE WAS CIGG ASH IN THE ICE BUCKET. freaking puke. On a more empathic note, it seems like the hotel has worked something out with the City to house homeless people. They seem to think everyone who comes in is Worcester trash, well honey corporate will be contact you very soon. You'll soon know just who I am. She was getting loud completely forgetting she had other guest to check out, a guest had to intervene. The guy working the night shift gave us the wrong information, and her reply was basically stating that they put him on the night shift because he doesnt know what he's doing. She decided to talk mess to another employee, thinking I didnt speak spanish or understand spanish. What a clown....literally, a clown with dark lipstick, she dressed and looked a mess! Be careful who you let in your room, most of the staff does not wear uniform! Some smoke smelling woman knocked on my door, saying she was housekeeping. She had no name tag and uniform. I had the common sense to decline, shortly after I realized most of the staff didnt have uniform on. And if they did they didnt wear it in a professional manner, much like the gothic front desk girl. Maids would be cleaning rooms and leaving their phones out in the open. The woman serving food, was also eating breakfast while serving. Left her cleaning supplies on the dining table while she was having conversations with guest and eating! We constantly checked our car to be sure noone stole it or broke into it, thats how bad it was. The back door was always unlocked, so anyone can come in!! I've stayed at The Plaza Hotel in NYC to the Holiday Inn Express and I have neeeeeeeever experienced a place like this! Choice Hotels are a huge chain, so are they allowing this to happen! We were here to visit a sick friend and because of it also being a holiday we had no choice, once we decided we wanted to change hotels mid reservation. All the other smart people booked the better hotels in the area! I'll listen to the reviews next time, and book elsewhere from the start. Do not stay here!!!! My husband and I made the mistake of booking this room in Quality Inn (QI) without checking reviews and all I can say is that the name "QUALITY INN" IT A COMPLETE OXYMORON and that I am grateful that Hampton Suites was directly across the street and had vacancies. The lobby was okay but the hallways were dark and dingy with old gum and other inappropriate objects worn into the actual carpet fibers. Water damage was visible on several walls. We overlooked this as we believed the hallways might be undergoing renovations and that the rooms would be well kept and inviting. When we first entered the room, the bright white and comforters looked clean but when I placed my suitcase own the bed, I noticed the red stain and dinginess. As I looked around I noticed the carpets had not been vacuumed well and several areas of carpet had major stains. The chair by the bed was filthy. I took the below photos and showed the clerk, his rooms were unacceptable and that we were checking out. He gave us a refund. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I hope this review can help people understand what they are getting themselves into. I took my experience very seriously. ZERO star for this place ! We booked 3 rooms through hotwire starting it as a 2.5 star hotel while on a family road trip. We got in pretty late (10:30pm) and the front desk checked us in. The lobby area seemed ordinary and clean. As we were moved into our rooms it was whole other story. The room smelled horrible, it can only be described smell in a zoo thr carpet was full of that smell so there was no escape. The beddings were dirty, old, stained and hair on it. Furnitures were old and nearly falling apart. The bathroom was old and musty. We checked all three rooms and none of them came close to acceptable. We asked to switch rooms and that's when we realized NOT only were the rooms horrible. This place was full of drug addicts walking around, sitting on stairwell and creeping up around corners. Okay, maybe I can deal with bad rooms for one night, lock the door and ignore the druggies but ONE thing that screamed leave the place ASAP. We watched the front desk employee making keycards for these druggies without checking ID or confirming if they really stayed in that room. All they said was, I left my key for room ###, and he makes a key for them. This happend at least THREE times. I finally figured to call Hotwire and inform them, we got our full refund at left at midnight. We also noticed the windows were unlatched in all 3 rooms and we were on the ground floor. Do not book this place unless you dont mind filth! Our room was in a seperate building but the directions given were extensive and we took a wrong stairwell. As we walked up to the 3rd floor (because there is no elevators) there was a banana peel and 2 empty chip bags just laying on the floor in the stairwell. My family and several other guests were directed to the next building where there was blood on the walls in the hall. Upon entering the room, I saw a smashed centipede on the ceiling, children's stickers all over walls and appliances. There was hairs on the tub in and on the side. No hand soap available. No screen on the window and a broken hair dryer. The table leg was also broken though we didnt use it. 2 square pillows on each bed, I will say the sheets appeared clean though considering what the rest of the room looked like, I can't say for sure. I was also told at the front desk that the tv wasn't working but that they were trying to fix it, which it was. We were up by 6am because we werent comfortable and opted to check out early. We packed up and got to the desk around 735 am. No one was at the desk but there was a sign saying they were tending to another guest. I stood there for over a half hour waiting. I spotted a bottle of industrial bug spray behind the desk and took a pic. Some hotel employee who had previously walked by with a large trash cart came over to the desk at the request of one of the several guests waiting to check out and he just ended up taking our room key cards and we all walked out. The staff were nice and all. But as I'm anxious about bugs, I looked everywhere possible before going to bed. Woke up and there were six bugs on the walls. I posted the pictures here as well to show everyone. I was disgusted and annoyed. I did let the clearly know. You get what you pay for but I didn't pay to be eaten! Update: I asked someone who works in the field and he said though they look similar to some breeds of bed bugs, they most likely aren't. Where to start..... Places I would rather be.... The hospital. Jail. Yep, it really is that bad. In fact, I am and have been both a Choice Hotels Diamond Member and a Best Western Diamond Select Member for over 4 years now. And I can say emphatically that this is by far the worst experience of my lodging career. There is much bad to talk about, but for purposes of this review I will limit it to mostly the customer service experience. Upon check in, I was immediately met with argument from the front desk over my personal information when I had asked for a very minor verification. At this point I had already considered going someplace else, as I did not have a reservation to commit to. I should have. I did inform him that I wanted to speak with a manager and was told no, that there was no manager. In the morning, I spoke with Amanda who was the Front Desk Manager. One of the first things was that I advised her that there were no wash cloths in the room. Amanda advised that the property does not supply wash cloths to its guests. When I brought up the incident at check in, without knowing any of the facts, she immediately justified the front desk agent's behavior and became very defensive and argumentative. When I inquired as to a general manager I was told that the general manager would be out of town for an extended period of time. I was told that there was no manager to speak with, and further was told that they could do with and speak with whoever they wanted however they wanted. Amanda also turned the event into a shouting match. I was later able to obtain an email address for the owner and sent an email as to what transpired. The property is run down and old, but honestly if this place had bed bugs (it did not) they would have been far better behaved than the staff. If you have the lowest of the low standards of customer service expectations, this place will go above and beyond to NOT meet them. Skip this place. When I say the hospital or jail would be better, I'm actually not joking. It's not bad, it's very bad. They do have plenty of parking though read more

I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or throw up. Even writing this review a few days later I feel a bit queasy as I think back to the inexplicable stains all over the wall and the nursing home meets ash tray essence throughout the establishment. We ended up leaving and not spending the night, despite my attempts to lessen my disgust with alcohol. Oh, also, it did not feel very safe at all. One woman told my sister not to go on the other side of the "hotel?" to avoid threats of danger. We paid $197 for this hotel for one night, and that is an absolutely ridiculous, obscene price for what you get. I wouldn't pay more than 120 for this place. In fact, we were just in Chicago for three nights in a gorgeous hotel by the river for $155 a night. How on earth they could charge so much for so little in this place is a mystery. Really needs a lot of time and money to make it halfway decent again. It was filthy, had living and dead bugs, a window wouldn't lock shut, and it just looked dingy in a very unnerving way. I always read reviews before I book hotels, so I was honestly shocked at how bad this place was. The so-called transitional housing situation wasn't an issue at all. Here's what I submitted to Choice Hotel's customer service as well as their executive leadership (with no response to date). "It wasn't until morning when the true rubbish of the room was apparent, as seen in the attached photos. The room was dangerously dirty - especially the climate system/air blower that is struggling to fill the room with mold and dust. It is nearly impossible to think that unit has ever been properly cleaned or even dusted off. There was drywall and paint debris all over the floor along with years of dust (clearly seen directly under the mattress). What appears to have been a smoke alarm was sprayed completely over with ceiling "popcorn". The light switch in the bathroom was horribly stained and appeared to have visible fecal matter on it. The corners of the room were filled with cobwebs. The refrigerator was smashed and dented as was the furniture it sat in; and it smelled of mold inside. Best of all, the TV had some type of symbol literally carved into the screen and the clothing drawer had long hair and what appeared to be blood stains inside it! Possible blood splatter/droplets can be seen on the wall all around a mirror as well." I wish I was making this up but you can clearly see all of the above mentioned and more in the disgusting photos I sent to Choice Hotels. Even in an emergency you are better off to sleep in your car than stop at this deceivingly "choice hotel". It is filled with dangerous issues and health concerns. read more

This place isn't well kept. There was garbage all over the entrance and in the parking lot. The elevator was down and all of the vending machines were out of order. The room was decent but there were stains on the carpets in the rooms and in the breakfast area. Also in the breakfast area there was mold in the walls. Hotel gave strangers keys to our room and they attempted to enter multiple times around 2am while we were sleeping. Luckily we had put on the extra chain bolt so the door only opened about 5 inches. We always look for "clean and safe" hotels. This was NOT clean or safe. We first walked into the lobby and it smelled like sweaty feet. There was a man arguing with the lady at the front desk about something shady. The hallway to the room was warped and went up and down, making a huge tripping hazard. Every single door leading to the outside was propped open by a rock or brick, which was not safe at all. We got to the room, and it smelled like smoke (even though it was supposed to be smoke free), human waste, and mold. The bathroom light didn't work at all, there was mold in every corner, there were mystery sludge stains on the carpet, and various rips in the carpet. The beds smelled like dust, and the window lock was broken so they'd shoved a metal rod into it so it couldn't be opened from the outside. Everything felt sticky. Just an overall red flag. We checked in at 1:30am, and left at 2am, because we couldn't stand it. Thankfully, we were refunded quickly once we explained why we left. Don't stay here, it is the shadiest, dirtiest, and most unsafe hotel I've ever been to. I would give it 0 stars if I could. read more

Don't even think about staying in this horror! The negative reviews do not exaggerate. Sometimes people exaggerate in these reviews, so we didn't pay them too much attention. Big mistake. We checked into the hotel for the weekend while we visited relatives. We only planned to sleep there for two nights and did not plan to spend any time at the hotel during the day. If we had planned stayed longer, or even arrived in Worcester earlier in the day, we would have never stayed in this place once we saw the lobby and our room. To call this dump a hotel is an absolute joke. The whole first floor reeks of cigarettes and damp. The hall carpet is all stained. The pool is not open, which is understandable due to the pandemic, but the whole area around it was overgrown with weeds. It looked like it had been abandoned. Our room smelled of damp and mildew like it had been flooded or the HVAC filters had never been changed. Worse, only one window opened and had no screen, so forget about trying to air out the room. The shower took forever to drain and there was mildew along the tile grout. Next time, we will avoid bargains and look for something that looks fit for human habitation. read more

The only reason this gets a 2 is because one member of the front desk staff was helpful, and the manager offered to move me. Sadly, the rest of the property was as dirty as my room. I begin and end with cleanliness, that's all I ask, really. Fail on all counts. From cobwebs in hallway corners to soiled rugs and a generally dirty smell...awful. No elevator or fridge in the room, but ok, not a deal breaker. Then I started to look around the room. Cracks and holes in the ceiling. Dresser drawers broken and handles missing. A mystery red/brown smear in the wall. On top of it all the coffee maker was broken and there was no ice bucket. When I went to the front desk it was pretty evident they just did not give a shit. This is absolutely the worst hotel that I have ever reserved. Before we even got to the hotel we noticed a drug rehabilitation on the left of the driveway, a local hospital detox clinic on the right, and plenty of unsavory-looking people wandering around the hotel proper, some with carts of things, some just sitting on the concrete, and a bunch of department store type carts in the back by the dumpster. The building itself was very scary. Carpets were torn or ripped and when we went into our room, which was in the 'better' area of the hotel, the first thing I noticed was a broken cover on the light switch, very much a safety hazard. I believe they might be housing homeless migrants at this hotel because one of the rooms had a sign explaining some type of migrant survey happening in that room. My husband, a former police officer, had his 'radar' up the entire time because of the 'clientele' on the grounds and said we were not staying. We checked out and the clerk refunded our money. We reserved a room in a much nicer hotel in downtown Worcester. Avoid this motel at all costs! read more

Found out the next morning that it is a "SHELTER BASED HOTEL"! They have shelter people living there! While other reviewers complained about smell of smoke, I want to correct, that is weed, or marijuana. It is legal in the state. And smoking weed is civil, not criminal, offense, hence police can do nothing about it. It is management's responsibility to keep hotel free of marijuana. Obviously they didn't do anything because I could see people smoking weed outside front door. On the second night of our stay, when we came back, there were police cars lined up, and some police with heavy arms (think about swat or special force). We were told by some guest that someone called 911, claiming heard someone in a room yelling being held by force while in realiy the room was vacant. Staff at front desk were nice. read more

We stayed here for two nights when we were dropping our daughter at school in Boston. It was not very expensive, but it definitely falls in the "you get what you pay for" category. Everyone of the people we dealt with were very nice, but the room was not great. Very dated, there were holes in the wall, some had been patched very poorly, others not at all. The toilet was barely functional, and the room smelled like a nursing home, and not a nice one. The front parking lot was very small. The side lot had quite a few small school buses parked there. There was more parking further back. If you are traveling with small children, people that can't manage stairs well or have a lot of luggage make sure you ask for a first floor room.
