Hotwire put this establishment in the same class as the La Quinta, Hampton Inn, and Comfort Inn, all in Auburn. It's not! I refused to check in. No A/C in the lobby, but instead a very dirty fan blowing hot air around. Grimy lobby chairs. Broken cars in the parking lot. Some shady-looking characters in the lobby and outside. When a hotel posts a "No Loitering" sign, you know you're in trouble. read more

Anyone complaining about this place is probably some wuss from Manhattan that has maids and butlers waiting on them hand and foot on a daily basis. I never take those reviews seriously and am always someone who needs to see something himself to believe it. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. An absolute Dump! From the outside it looks as if no one has done any maintenance other than mowing the limited grass that grows around the building. It didn't improve when we checked in. Check in was accompanied by the smell of cigarettes and marijuana, in a no smoking facility. Then my coworker and I got to the rooms. His smelled of body odor and the linens appeared to not have been changed. Mine was worse! I opened the door and the room reeked of cigarettes. I put my case on the table and looked around at a room that looked like it had been savaged by a drunk raccoon. The chair and couch looked like they had been a cat's scratching post. The door safety latch didn't work. One of the doors to the bathroom didn't close, the other didn't latch. I looked around the room and found a sock under the curtain and a pair of panties in the closet! When I tried to call the front desk to comment the phone didn't work! When I went down and complained I was informed that the rooms were non-refundable and they were booked. I recommend no one stay in this place. At least I didn't get bed bugs! read more

This place gets one star only because I can't give it zero. It was absolutely horrible; filthy dirty throughout- lobby, elevator, stairs, hall, room. Nothing was clean. When we checked in we were told "no throwing things out the windows" and "no loud parties." There were stains all over the carpets and curtains. The stove and fridge were not clean. And the walls and doors were stained and dirty. I doubt the sheets had been changed. For this they charged us $120 a night. We stayed the night only because at 11:30 pm there were no other rooms available in the city. They did refund our non-refundable reservation for the next night, and gave us a discount on the night we did stay- in the end though, it still cost us $97. Never ever book a hotel without checking reviews first, and never ever EVER stay here. Lesson learned. read more

This is the most disgusting place we have ever stayed. We were referred here after calling Comfort Inn and Suites for anreservation but we had a Sportsman Show dog with us that they would not accept pets. They referred us here. When we pulled in around 12:30-0100 you could immediately tell it was dated but the cars in the parking lot were the giveaway. Some didn't have license plates on them, all were late model, dented and missing hubcaps. There was trash, beds, grocery carts, tarps on one end of the property across from The pool. The actual trash containment was overflowing as well with the same items. Upon entering the Door 4 (that was a cut out similar to a school project with tape) we were greeted by a resident there without shoes, with a hood on smoking a pipe. He graciously opened the door for us at which time we were hit with the stench of stale weed, cigarette smoke and mildew. The floors were crusted and torn, the doors and door ways stained. Storage door jams broken, trashed piled in the hallway and stains all along the corridor. And that was only the floor we entered on. Going up the stairway to the third floor was the same finding. When we went back out to let our dog out (I wouldn't let my husband go alone). We were greeted by another hooded figure this time again barefoot walking around dazed and aimless. Then another woman with a hood on darting out the door to a car with slippers on only to come back in wreaking of some sort of smoke and barely able to make it inside. This place is nothing but a glorified trap house. Now to our room: it wreaked of smoke, mildew and looked like it was never cleaned except the sink and the bed made. The light switches had either feces, choi dried blood on them. The toilet did n work properly, there was hair on the sheets that was not our own. The door handles and doors were sticky and barely shut right. We were exhausted so we wrapped the pillows in our own shirts and attempted to sleep. Went to turn on the heat knowing smoke would billow out. Only to see that that was also filthy, with broken pieces exposing the insides of the system making one unsure if you would be electrocuted if you used the dial to turn it on. We ended up not sleeping a wink. We left a few hours later not bothering to even ask for our money back for fear returning would expose us to bedbugs or scabies. That place is a public health safety hazard. I have no idea how it maintains its franchise contract. We drove the rest of the way home exhausted and disgusted. We ended up washing all of our clothing and the dog. And put our suitcase in a black trash bag fearing what we had been exposed to. read more

staff is really friendly and the rooms are very clean i jad to switch credit cards from when i booked and they were able to switch it for me which actually made my day because i dont have a pin for my cc for cash advances and needed cash for the event i was going to. They have juices, a pancake maker, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bagels for breakfast...they were so nice they brought ice to our room!!!it was great because earlier we went the wrong way and i think we tried to open the maintenance door dont go to 101 we were in 110 haha it was funny to me i was having a day! for 124 with tax included comfy bed.....i will be back also another tip it is about a 7 minute ride to dcu center if you are staying for a show or event we took an uber 10$ and there is a liquor store very close by actually right near the mcdonalds! read more

Wow! Probably the worst place I have ever stayed. Dirty, dirty carpets, smashed door, stained linens. Here's what I'll say. Quality Inn is one of those places that has made space for homeless. Which is great, but that is not the business of a hotel. A hotel and shelter are two very different uses and needs. They need to be able to live, though temporarily, with dignity. Every place should be well kept to promote a sense of reassurance and stability. This facility is not well kept with plenty of issues for the health department and whatever safety oversight a company like this falls under. That being said. A hotel guest would expect more. Guests are there for one or two nights and do not have the luxury of waiting for carpet cleaning in 6 months or if ever. This is too sad. I feel badly for the residents and guests. On both accounts, this is Quality Out. Whatever agency chose this place for residents didn't give damn! Shame! The staff was very user friendly, in spite of what this company has given them to work with. If it's a shelter them operate it as such. If it is a hotel then operate is in that manner. Either way the facility needs a complete overhaul, structural, design, safety, maintenance, amenities. There isn't even a sign on the building, ( yes there's one at the end of the common driveway driveway). I resident may not want this, but a hotel guest would expect this as brand quality. I thought Quality Inn had a standard, and couldn't be that bad. As a young woman staying alone, I was terrified sleeping here. There was a man walking the hallway up and down talking loudly on the phone right outside my room. The heater was loud and did not let me sleep. Save your money! This place is very dirty and feels unsafe "Where do I begin: 1. Broken car window glass in the back parking lot... break in? 2. Empty alcohol bottles and trash all over the back parking lot and on the lawn. 3. The exterior door could easily be pulled open, even after it was locked. 4. The hallway carpets were filthy dirty. 5. The microwave, which was in the common area in the hallway, was caked with pizza sauce and food. Looked like a college dorm room microwave that hadn't been cleaned in months. 6. The wall lamp inside the room was broken at the socket. Felt like a fire hazard. 7. The refrigerator door was hanging offf at the bottom. The hinge was not attatched. 8. Pizza or some sort of food was on the floor in the corner of the room. 9. Women's makeup, foundation, was on the light switch in the bathroom. 10. Hair and some sort of gel was on the hair dryer. 11. The A/C worked for a few minutes and then got warm. Freon? 12. No hot breakfast, just cereal and fruit. This place was gross and should be checked out by someone at Quality or Choice. Very pricing for such an aging, out dated property. This place could do with a complete make over. The bed was comfortable, though up way too high. Good sized in-room fridge with freezer and a microwave. It was reasonably quiet. Plenty of hot water for shower. Parking was fine and free. Check in was okay. Breakfast was decent...eggs, juice, toast, pancake dispenser machine. Free daily newspaper. Ice machine not far from room but no ice bucket in room. Shower towels were on the small side and not soft. Bathroom shower had been modified and look really grubby in some spots. I took some pics but there doesn't seem to be a way to post them here. The shower units need replacing not modifying. No bar soap in shower only body gel. No "Do not disturb" card on door knob. Some TV remote buttons didn't work like Power...had to use TV's power button. Also, no printed channel guide so I had to continually flip through 100 channels. Several restaurants and stores close by. Downtown was about a 12 minute ride one way via 290. Disappointingly, there was no free hotel shuttle. I would stay there again if there were no nearby cheaper alternatives but they really must lower their room rate to match the condition. read more

Pros: Cost comfortable temperature Cons: lax security very slow wifi Internet This place is one of the cheapest places around, and it's a case of getting what you pay for. In the pictures, the rooms show a mini fridge and a microwave. My room had the mini fridge, but no microwave. The breakfast was simple. The automatic pancake maker was pretty cool to use. The ice machine didn't work, but to their credit, you could walk to the front desk and they'd give you ice from a freezer. Though there was no note on the ice machine suggesting such, you had to call and complain. Speaking of calling and complaining, the wifi Internet was slow (you couldn't actually get things done using it, beware anyone expecting to telework) the entire time, but at one point they had a failure. When I called, they said that it was an outage to their ISP, and that other businesses in the area were experiencing it. Oh and they were also in the process of transitioning to a different ISP. I have a feeling that if I kept asking questions, more excuses would come up. I did call the other business they mentioned by name as having the related Internet outage, and as I expected, they said they were having no problems. The back door of the building had a notice on it stating that the door was locked and that for security, you needed to swipe your room card to gain access. I appreciate such security, unfortunately the card swipe did not function, and the door was permanently open. In another instance, someone staying in my room with me locked themselves out, and went down to the front desk to get another key card. The person working the front desk simply gave them the key card to my room without asking for any ID or further information, just knowing the room number was good enough for him. The AC kept the room comfortably cold, water was hot, for the basic necessities, the hotel was fine. But it was more of a Value inn, not a Quality inn. read more

If I could give this place a lower rating I would without hesitation. My wife and I at 3am heard a noise at the window of our 1st floor handicapped room. looked up and saw an middle aged Hispanic women trying to crawl through our window. She saw me turned around and ran away. She had pried the window open from the outside and tried to enter our room. We did not sleep the rest of the night. Reported the incident to the front desk in the morning, supervisor who told me the manager would be contacting me when she came in the next morning. This was on 12/09/18, today is 12/12/18 and am still waiting for a return call. I normally carry a revolver for protection when I travel, since I am handicapped. Extremely lucky that someone didn't get shot and killed. There would be a different outcome if she made it all the way into the room. read more

I would not recommend this hotel to a family or to people who want to rest . You can smell weeds in the hallway . There is a lot of noise at night . I think the hotel is used to party and to smoke weeds . As I write this I can hear loud noise and people speaking loudly . The carpet is sticky and dirty . A half a star is a gift they don't even deserve. Crushed is an understatement. I came up from New York to experience this fine establishment. As a New Yorker, I've experienced my fair share of hood hotels, but this takes the (pan)cake. Yesterday was international waffle day, so as you can imagine I was in the mood for something fluffy coated with syrup. I had high hopes for the pancake maker, at the free breakfast as it is one of my favorite foods. I typically like a Aunt Jemima syrup, with a pile of butter on top as high as I can make it. However, I was crushed with disappointment. To my surprise the pancake maker read "out of order". Once I knew they neglected the maintenance of the free breakfast, I knew the room couldn't be good. On my way to the room, I got a glimpse of the sausage for the breakfast sitting out in the maintenance room, making my stomach turn. As I walked to the room, a substance of plaster or primer consistency was smeared across the floor. As I got into my room, the air conditioner creaked and didn't maintain any air circulation (in the summer time prime). The room smelt of your great uncle who hasn't showered since the last family reunion. The musty smell couldn't escape from my nostrils as I breathed it in all night. The walls, now they were made from paper. I could have probably poked my fighter through to get a peep hole of the room over. The shower curtain rod was obviously installed incorrectly, and they "fixed" the mistake with a wad of plaster. An eye sore was an understatement. The box spring on the bed was highly questionable, as we broke it. The weight of a person caved in the bed, let that sink in, as I did. If you had something sticky on your hands, which you would if you touched the pillow, the sink was at your convince. Placed next to the doorway, it was the highlight of the room, with two mirrors! If you were in the bathroom, there was no sink or mirror for you. If you have $118 to throw down the drain, please come on by this hole in the ground. Or go out and get yourself a shovel, dig a hole and sleep there for a better stay. read more

Window in one of the rooms was broken through, toilet didn't work, breakfast is free for a reason. The paint was peeling in all of our rooms (came in a group) and there are needles on the front lawn. This place is a safety hazard. I wish we'd paid a little bit more for a place that I wasn't afraid to be in. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE else. Seriously an air mattress in the back of your car, parked on the side of the Mass Turnpike, would be a thousand times better than this hell hole. Mouse droppings in the bathroom, a nonsmoking room that reeked of cigarettes, toilet leaked (a lot) with every flush, dark isolated parking lot with no cameras, dirty floors and carpets, and some sort of partying going on in a van in the parking lot. Now, let me tell you the bad stuff. My car window was smashed and I was robbed. They freakin took my daughter's graduation pictures, which were in an envelope in the front seat. When I reported it to the front desk, the woman wasn't surprised at all. She just asked if I wanted her to call the police. Well duh, yes. When the police arrived, the officer said that the police are called to this hotel at least three times a week and that the hotel refuses to do anything to improve the safety of the guests or to run off the meth addicts who hang around the hotel property. Apparently, the hotel is being paid to house the meth addicts who are supposedly in rehab. The hotel also is being paid to house homeless people, as Worcester doesn't have enough space in its homeless shelters. I don't have a problem with the city trying to help people who are struggling. However, I wonder if the Choice Hotels chain knows that this one location has sunk so far below the standards that an average paying customer would expect? read more

wonderful staff, free breakfast. room smelled weird, AC didn't work very well but the room was fine and the pool was clean.

The bed was really comfortable. More so than other places I've stayed. The room was neat and clean. The staff was enthusiastic and friendly. In the end those are really the most important things. But everything else was hugely disappointing. Terrible free breakfast (powdered eggs? Really?) exterior doors that didn't have working card readers, they did took out the dirty towels but didn't clean the room or leave new towels. The internet was slow (one meg when it worked which it often didn't) Overall there's a real feeling of run down and old here. And cheap too These things all added to the feeling of "I don't want to be here". They would need to fix the things that are broken for me to want to come back. They have two hotels at this location. I can't rate the hotel but I stayed in a suite that is behind the hotel and it was disgusting!! It is named The Surburban Extended Stay Hotel. The minute you walk into the lobby it just looks dirty and it is. It is a non smoking hotel which is good until you get to your room and it smells like a old smokey stale bar room. My wife loved the cockroach that she found in the bathroom in the morning too!! Your better off sleeping in your car!! read more

I stayed here for 2 nights, booked by my coach for a sporting event. Upon arrival the hotel messed up our room block and gave us room keys and room that did not belong to us. The hallway where my room was located reeked of weed and cigarettes. The scent was unbearable for more then a minute. The people next door had their door open speaking very loudly. The room two doors down sounded like someone was about to get murdered. The yelling didn't stop for hours with banging and loud smacks. The hotel layout is something right out of the shining. The floors make no sense. You literally can't find rooms. Their are legit rooms in the basement. Every floor in the entire hotel had a different smell. The bathroom didn't have hot water and the towels had hair on them that wasn't mine. At one point a fire alarm began to go off in a room nearby. I went to the front desk to ask for help. The staff women, although helpful, kept sighing under her breath over and over telling us they were "cooking too much." Had no clue what indeed they were "cooking" but i can only assume. She went into the room and began talking to the 2 men as though she knew them( which gave me the hint that people use this hotel as a apartment building) she ripped their fire alarm off their wall without addressing the smoke issue on my floor. I finally got a room switch to arrive in a room smelling of spoiled milk and mold. i refused to sleep on the bed so i covered it in towels and my own clothes. everything was dirty. i felt gross. absolutely disgusting. walking around alone was terrifying. sketchy men walked the halls making creepy remarks and smoking. i went out onto my balcony to find a man just simply watching me from his car. As a girl it was just scary to be alone for any amount of time. save yourself the time and do not stay in this hell hole. it is horrifying that the company allows a place to get this inhabitable. someone needs to shut this place down it's simply a scary place. read more
