Found this place on Priceline at a "discounted" rate. The money I spent was not worth it. Upon entering the facility, you can see the pool was emptied out. The evening check in staff made no note as to why it was empty. I was given 1 room key instead of the usual 2. I'm traveling with my husband but there should be two in case both people need to step out separately. Got into the room to be greeted by the gold bead covers that distract how ugly the room is. Upon entering the room, you can also see the Bathroom light didn't work, just the fan. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to use the bathroom. On top of that, our safety latch was broken which made me feel uneasy. I've had a negative experience of a hotel staff member entering my room unannounced while I was undressing. Quality Inn? This place is a half notch from a motel. I would have gone elsewhere, but we got in late and my husband and son were very tired. The breakfast was an absolute joke. Cereal, oatmeal, waffles were subpar as they had no butter or syrup, old toast with no jellies. There was no eggs or meat. The foffee was in the greeting area, not the breakfast room. Got in late...I rely on choice hotels for 2 things: cleanliness and safety. Safety was out immediately as the desk attendant was arguing politely w a guest who wanted to pay cash that he had to give $100 if he paid cash or lived in grants pass. This made me think "Do I want to stay in Grants Pass at all?" Then, I checked in and the room was dirty. Curtains falling off, tons of long dark hairs and stains on the sheets, (clearly they were not changed,) chipped up furniture and a mattress that was like a sway back mare. If I had not been in intense pain and exhausted, I would have left. We went to janitors closet and threw new sheets over the sheets and pillows. Odd characters were around the hotel...not guests just...homeless I guess. Just drive through...don't stop here. read more

I did not give us the proper reservations. And explain that it's not their problem because we went through to trip advisor but it was there mistake. They lied three different times going back-and-forth telling him they had the correct rooms and they didn't have the correct rooms and I had and they didn't have them manager was complete ass on the phone as I was on the phone to him because of the situation the clerk continuously lies trying to get out of anything you can but still we end up with the same room which is the wrong room. We need two queen beds got one and two rooms. I don't need one in each room. I need both rooms but all it ended up as a big hassle. The manager says he's not even on the clock or what the hell is he answering the phone for if your manager aren't you available continuously that if you're not who is the manager in charge for this night nobody can answer that question. This hotel was by far the most pleasant experience I've had in Grants Pass. I couldn't believe the rates were so low and the quality of the place so far exceeded my highest expectations. The workers were very nice and friendly. The quality of customer were excellent. The rooms were nice clean and modern. The breakfast was included and it was top par waffles eggs cereal etc!! Zero stars, horrible service. Lie to get extra charges. Do not stay here. Room was dirty, carpet was ripped shower rod barely hanging on. But we were tired and just needed to sleep so we stayed. Upon checking out we received an additional $80 charge on my bank account. Called and inquired and was told it was because the towels were stained. We didn't stain any towels. We took showers and that was it. She said well my housekeeper said they were stained and hung up on me. I called back to try to speak with manager and she said yeah good luck and hung up on me again. Called corporate office and filed a complaint and some foreign person who could barely speak English said all we could do was speak with manager. Been trying to get a hold of him for almost a week straight now. Called my bank disputed the charge. Filed a complaint with BBB. Will call a lawyer next. Short and simple the Grants Pass Quality Inn is rundown and gross. A true get what you paid for situation. I now understand why it was the cheapest option. The first impression was when I opened the door to the lobby and a empty beer can rolled out. The carpet over the concrete outside of the front door is ripped. But the lobby was clean and the guy at the counter nice so I proceeded to check in. I'm a night shift nurse from out of town so I'm really just looking for a good bed to sleep on and a shower to clean up in between shifts. I get to my room and there was an overwhelming strong perfume type smell. The scent was so strong it made my eyes water. There was like a plug in air freshener in the room set to high. I unplugged it and figured I'd be ok after the room aired out. Then as I'm setting my bag down at the desk, I notice a random maybe 8inch painting of a cow hanging low on the wall to the right of the desk, no other decorations on the wall. Look being the picture and it is covering a hole in the wall. The bed looks like something from the 80s and well the mattress was about as comfortable as a bed from the 80s. Against my better judgment and because I am worked 13 hours and was too tired to go elsewhere I decided to sleep here anyway. When I wake up my lungs hurt and I have a headache. I go to take a shower and the shower curtain is barely holding on onto the wall. The bar had been screwed into plastic outlet plates that were screwed into the wall to cover bigger holes. Then there was black colored mold along the ceiling of the shower. Well that was it for me, I paid for two nights, but no way I'm staying here another night. I'll sleep in my car, Then as I'm packing up to leave a huge looking wolf spider walked across the floor. I walk out and get hit with a sting smell of weed. I go downstairs and tell the front desk person that I'm checking out because the room is terrible, he takes my key and doesn't even ask what is wrong with the room. If you see this place run the other way. I booked on hotel tonight and didn't think to check the reviews since we had broken down all day. I was just trying to find a place to spend the night and rest. Got here and they wouldn't honor the amount of guest I had on my app for when I got room. I was told that only two guest. They wouldn't change my reservation to add another guest. They asked me to cancel, which was not allowed on app. They asked to get another room instead of making the change. To speed up the process I just asked for the room. Went up to the room to walk my kids and check the place, it was horrible asked for another room for them. New person at reception was rude. I asked if they could male an exception for me to stay in the room (prior wouldn't budge) said no and was told that if she would catch me sneaking into the hotel room where my boys were that in her words "we were going to have problems". I understand policies but understand exceptions could be made. Slept in the car so my kids could rest for the night. Was not about to pay for another raggedy room. My kids are 16 and 22. read more

The staff weren't welcoming or friendly. No one introduced themselves or made me feel comfortable. Our room at Quality inn was gross. The "pool" outside is unusable due to debris and sludge, it's more green then blue. And I was only given a half baked apology and $75 off the room for the fecal matter. When they came to clean it up they didn't get all of it and I had to pick it up myself off the floor. Completely disgusting. Come to find out, they charged my credit card an extra $50 today. Very dirty. Even the hands of the person checking me in were filthy. No elevator. I'm an older person with luggage, and I wasn't offered a ground floor room. The carpets were extremely dirty throughout. It took the about 10 minutes to check in each party, so I literally had to stand there for close to 20 minutes before I could check in. The party in front of me was local, paying cash which says a lot. My room had a brand new mirror and sink which was very nice, but why not fix the towel bar right next to the sink that was fall off the wall? The bathtub looked like it could use a good bleaching, and the a/c unit had the front broken off revealing dirt and mold. There were no easily accessible outlets for charging my phone, but the room was very quiet. "Free breakfast" was basically toast and cereal. No juice. No water. No protein. Zero verbal interaction with the front desk when I checked out. read more

Adding a third person to my room almost doubled my price (I had a discounted price through Priceline for $94). They charged me $78 more $78 extra for my 14 year old. Ridiculous. Never again. I'm writing this review from my room at the Grants Pass Quality Inn. Quality, it ain't. No breakfast in the morning- not even the brown bag grab and go version so many hotels have gone to. Our room has a coffee maker, but we've been told there is no coffee available. Our room appears clean and the bed looks comfortable enough. The bathroom has (only) two towels, and they are rough and worn looking. No clock. No phone. All of this I could overlook from an over-priced but convenient to the interstate chain, however, I will never be complacent when it comes to rude desk staff. We were checked in by a person who couldn't take the time to glance up at us, much less exchange pleasantries. We felt like our presence was more than an inconvenience. Information was given in a grudging murmur. In a town that has plenty of lodging options, travelers shouldn't put up with rude staff. And no coffee. read more

My husband stayed there while in Medford for business last week. we had a medical emergency and he had to leave and give up the next 4 nights of his stay. We booked through Priceline and when we asked for a refund/credit for his nights he wasn't using, he was told no. As he was leaving the girl at the desk said that he had an outstanding balance which is BS because it as all prepaid online. The website is so beyond deceiving. We get there and get checked in the carpet looked as tho it had been patched up, curtain was hanging had to find a way to keep it up and then couldn't use it do to that. Bathtub was horrible looked dirty then went to shower and it was so slippery I almost fell. In order to use the AC we had to prop it up to use. Bed spreads and sheets had holes.
