    A welcoming place

This wonderful place on the Rogue is a great jumping off point for exploring. The cabins are quaint and have all you and your dog need.

    A very friendly cat.

Very clean, safe, and absolutely beautiful place. I found this place only because the commercial hotels downtown were full, and it turned out to be a much better place. So much so, that I stayed an extra day just to enjoy the peacefulness. This motel is very peaceful, situated along the river, and it feels like you're in the wilderness. You're surrounded by the river on one side, and beautiful greenery on the other, and you completely lose track of the outside world. The room is like a mini cottage where you get a kitchenette, and a spacious private deck. (I've added a photo of my room's deck, and one of a very friendly cat who lives nearby). There are places to sit right up along the river, and there is also a volleyball net and other such activities on the grounds. The people who run the place are very friendly, and nearby there is a seafood restaurant, small groceries, and about two miles away is the town center with conventional shopping. I liked the place so much that I plan to return. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation.

So happy to support this family-run business! Motel Del Rogue is such a gem of a place! Very quirky and cute. Super clean, charming cabins on the river for the same price as the nasty, unsafe motels in the middle of town. Kevin, the owner, is so personable and clearly takes pride in his business. These are old school cabins but very clean. You feel like you're in the woods. BONUS: there are very cute, sweet cats that will greet you and hang out with you on the property.

If you are looking for a five star hotel, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a unique, funky place to stay then you've found your spot. We stayed in trailer #3. It was perfect for us - cute and retro. Retro as in orange counters in the bathroom, brown appliances in the kitchen and a cute vanity from the 60's or 70's. The beds were comfy and clean, with the exception of the twins which were kind of like roll aways. Great view of the river with a big bench swing that all four of us fit on. There is definitely stuff that needs to be fixed and cleaned up around the property (kind of like how a junk drawer or spare room collects stuff over the years). We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

We make a point of staying here every trip we make through this area. It's a slice of heaven on earth. Peaceful and spotlessly clean. The owners are some of the nicest people and always so accommodating. Had a few girlfriends with me last trip....we stuck our camp chairs right in the river out back and spent the day laughing and having cocktails. The views are always lovely, the beds crisp with the best ever mattresses. Great coffee and the cutest patio furniture.

This establishment was the best motel experience i have ever had. The hospitality was like none other. The location is perfect right on the river, the room and kitchen had everything we needed, including games books television etc. it was very peaceful, accommodating, and affordable. I WILL BE BACK and i am happy to make this the first review I've ever done on any establishment.

Super cozy spot to spend the night right on the Rogue River in Grants Pass. One of our favorite places to stay on our road trip from San Fransisco to Portland. Older construction. Cute and quirky. One of the most comfortable motel beds I've ever slept in. We had a private deck facing the river where we sat during the evening hours. Full size kitchen sink, gas cooking range, mini fridge, kitchen stocked with plates and utensils. A full size coffee pot! The owner was super nice and chatted us up when we rolled in. We stayed on a Wednesday night and it was a quiet and peaceful stop. Decent nightly rate around $100. We would stay here again!

There is a apple tree with most delicious apples. We had our breakfast at outdoor table watching the river. Priceless!

Then The Logic Riverside might be exactly what you're looking for. Do you enjoy driving 15 hours straight to end up at a moldy smelling, blood stained sheets, motel 6 vibe hotel? The photos online promised fresh, modern, and welcoming. The reality? Dingy, musty, and crusty. The second we opened the door, we were hit with a mold smell so strong it could've had its own zip code. The carpet was dirty and lumpy, the ceiling sagged like it was giving up, and the patio hadn't been touched in ages--covered in spiderwebs and so slippery (not safe for disabled, elderly, pregnant women, kids, or anyone). Housekeeping? Could be better. Toilet paper roll half-used, dust everywhere, pubes in the tub (yes, really), mold around the shower and stained comforters that looked like a black-mold art project. Nothing says "welcome" like wondering if your sheets are contagious. And the surroundings... let's just say there's a full-on homeless camp right next door. The vibe outside makes you want to lock your car doors every ten seconds, and definitely doesn't scream "safe family getaway." We told the front desk, and while they were nice, offered for us to talk to management. The solutions were laughable: switch to another musty room or take a "discount next time." Next time?! As if anyone is lining up for round two. The only halfway-decent part of the place is the lobby, which lures you in before the bait-and-switch. For the price they charge, this is absolutely not worth it. If you're spending good money and actually care about clean, safe, decent accommodations--skip this place. Unless, of course, you're into mold, mystery stains, and locking your doors on repeat. *EDIT: Response to Evelyn To clarify, I did speak directly with the manager and the only solution offered was a "discount on a future visit." Given the condition of the room and the health/safety concerns I experienced, I did not feel that was an appropriate resolution. The photos I provided were taken in the room I was assigned, and accurately reflect the conditions.

Unlike some of the other reviews, and the pictures that show it, they have upgraded the rooms with flat screen TV and remodeled bathroom (even though there's no countertop, there is a set of shelves that work just as good). My room and bathroom were spotless from what I could see. A very nice place to stay for a few days, if necessary. The Wi-Fi, is free and works well. And, if I remember correctly, it is secured (sorry, but I went about 32 hours without sleep. So, I don't recall exactly, as I didn't use it long). The only problem that I was able to find, is that they don't start serving breakfast until 0800. So early eaters will probably have to go out for breakfast (see my review for the Powderhorn Cafe). And, with the wine classes at they have available, it might make a nice anniversary getaway, too. I'll post pictures later, as I have to transfer them from my laptop to this phone first.

It's a very quaint old school motel oozing character. Margaret, the current owner, told me that the motel was built in the 30s and then the other half was added in the 50s to create the motel's current horseshoe shape. The motel has been updated many times over the years and mixes vintage with modern very easily. There are only 15 rooms, but each one is unique, with some having full kitchens and bedrooms. There are painted murals of vines and such on the walls, and the rooms come with bathroom, shower, kitchen (with eating utensils and plates) fridge, microwave and even a dining table. The bed was comfortable if not a bit too squishy. It's all done in the style of the old motels where you parked in front of your room. Jackie, the check in lady, was helpful and kind and made checking in a breeze. It's located on one of the main streets in Grants Pass and is within walking distance of a bunch of helpful stores and restaurants. With all this charm and very affordable pricing, this is my new go-to motel in the Grants Pass area.

I saw some very positive reviews for The Weasku Inn on the Rogue River, so I booked it. I am SO glad I did! The lodge is nostalgic of days gone by, built in 1924-- so quaint and lovely. On arrival, a warm staff met us and we checked in to a picturesque cabin facing the river. Perfect! King sized SUPER comfy bed stacked high with lovely quilts. The cabin featured a lovely mountain-style, working rock fireplace with a comfy couch facing the fireplace, looking out onto the trees with the river beyond. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Weasku offers "appetizers" in the evening--which really is more like a meal. If you are still hungry after the appetizer hours, which we were not, restaurants for dinner are just a quick 5 minute drive away. There is a bar available to purchase wines, beer and ciders, if you wish, available all day long with complementary coffees and teas, as well. And the FULL breakfast is SO well done; not like those plastic, poorly done "breakfasts" served at many places--THIS is a proper, complete breakfast meal. There is a fire pit for evenings and complementary "s'more"kits are available for toasting on the fire. The Weasku staff were so warm and friendly and all seemed to be pleased to see us! We will most certainly return to this lovely spot. If what you want is a respite from the crazy, a quiet cozy place to relax and comfortable accommodations, you will love The Weasku. I saw the many rave reviews and decided that this must be "the place". I'm going to be as objective…read moreas possible while setting the record straight- the staff were all good, and offering breakfast, appetizers and cookies/fire/s'mores in the evening was a really nice touch. As others have mentioned, the breakfast wasn't great, but we were travelling with little kids so having something to get the day started is really important (A for effort, C- for execution). They had a decent selection of beer and wine to order in the evenings (at reasonable prices for a hotel). The grounds were pretty nice. Things fall short of expectations when you get to the accommodations and location. Our cabin felt old and dilapidated, not "historic" in the sense of the Ahwahnee Lodge (Yosemite) or Lake MacDonald Lodge (Glacier). You walk in to a slightly damp environment that smells a bit like septic mixed with old camp fire. The couch, and carpet were pretty gross. Beds were mediocre, and although the sheets looked clean, the setup wasn't exactly confidence inspiring. Rooms are not cleaned daily, and since we have little people in diapers, we opted to just put the trash can outside. Perhaps the worst part was that we were put into the AFrame cabin with no possibility to change rooms (that's not what I booked). There's a steep ladder that leads to the second bed upstairs. This arrangement is not realistic or safe with toddlers. Overall, everything was just, kinda... shabby. "Historic" in the context of the Weasku is a euphemism for "run-down". As for location, if you think you're going to be right on the Rogue, you'd be mistaken. There's an irrigation ditch that runs directly behind the cabins, fed by a pump house about 100 yards away. If you do walk down to the river, be careful because this section is very dangerous/inhospitable. The river is really swift there, so it's not good for fishing (yes, no fishing spots there!), not good for kids, no beach stuff... but plenty of spiked berry brambles and poison oak if that's your thing. Road noise is constant and detracts from the vibe of peaceful seclusion. Interstate 5 is hidden by trees just on the other side of the river, so you'll hear that all night long. As for Grants Pass, unless you've got a reason to be there, you'd be better off somewhere like Ashland. The Weasku served our needs, and we all escaped without bedbugs or scabies. Would I stay again? Not if you paid me. Rating reflects great staff and nice grounds, with negative stars for accommodations.
