This is the last "big" town where I could find decent hotels (e.g. La Quinta, multiple inns), on a road trip from Seattle to San Fran. I'm happy we stayed here - Friendly staff, home-y feels, clean rooms, spacious free parking, and with a decent breakfast included and a popcorn maker?! Also love the hot water, coffee, and a water dispenser available in the lobby 24/7. Competitive rates for 2 queen beds w/ a balcony river view (under $150 on a Monday in September) relative to other hotels in the area. No mosquitoes that I noticed either! Pets can stay here too. We enjoyed staying at the Riverside Inn. We opened the sliding patio doors so we could hear the geese all night. EV charging drew us here. They have two chargers. Breakfast is behind the lobby and was a step above cold cereal with fresh fruits and juices. Biscuits and gravy. Very clean room and helpful staff. We will return when traveling through. I've stayed here a couple times now. It's a friendly hotel, with helpful staff, a full breakfast included in the rate, and coffee always available in the lobby. Dog friendly, at least on the bottom floor, with vinyl plank flooring. Room has a beautiful view of the Rogue River, which I could admire for hours! Even during the cold weather, it's nice to crack the sliding glass door to hear the river and birds. Downside: could hear walking from upstairs guest, not a lot of dog walking options immediately near the hotel and the grass is squishy during the wet months. Rooms have a slight dog odor, may need to include Odoban or some other dog smell neutralizing cleaning solution, but as a pet owner I went nose blind pretty quickly. Easy to access and depart from this hotel as it's off the main road with a shoulder that keeps one safe in traffic. Nice looking restaurant across the street, with a paved trail one could walk to avoid traffic while reaching that destination. Overall: I've stayed twice, any time I return to Grants Pass in the future this will be my first choice to book. read more

The view was so serene and wonderful, the room was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The pet deposit was low ($25 or so) and worth the price. Was in town and stayed here recently on a trip through the area, this hotel is literally on the rivers banks at the bridge. Check in is simple and easy, the man running the front desk on the afternoon of my arrival was kind and professional. He had me checked in and my room key in hand within about five minutes. My room a double queen on the lower floor, right on the rivers front. A comfortable room, with a balcony that opened up right above the river. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and spacious with the standard amenities you expect while traveling. Work desk and chair, a room fridge with coffee station and flat screen tv. Breakfast the next day was both hot and cold items, served in the dining area next to the front desk reception area. Good enough if your passing through. Location is good. Many things within walking distance. Breakfast served but limited. Unfortunately we were traveling with about 34 in our group and their eating room no way could handle the load. Although kitchen staff did everything to keep things available seating is very limited. Rooms need upgrade. Ours initially had no TV service. While I waited for front desk staff to come out, I explored. I saw the cable box was behind the cabinet on the ground and unplugged. The back of the TV was very dusty. And box when staff pulled out was dirty as well. The wall unit of HVAC was dirty and pics on wall were dusty. Not a good thing for someone allergic to dust . Our sink had a slow drain. And waking up in the middle of the night, i stepped on some tacks. They were the rug tacks into the bathroom tile. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE... Their staff are amazing and accommodating to all our needs (I.e. Early check in, etc.) with kindness and respect. It's very affordable and includes a full cooked breakfast, not your traditional coffee and pastries only. Much appreciated... It's located in a beautiful location along the river with views from our balcony of rafting, boating, etc. and a nice park for strolling on the other side of the river from the hotel. Our refrigerator died early in our stay and they graciously replaced it with a "New" one within approximately 15 minutes of notifying them. WOW!!! We stayed at Riverside Inn as a halfway stop on a road trip with our 3 young kids. The river views looked great online, and they were able to accommodate adjoining rooms, which was a big plus. The staff was wonderful--especially the two ladies at the front desk who were incredibly kind and helpful. The staff is easily 11/10! They had our rooms ready, and even the pack and play we requested was placed in the room. Bonus points for the free popcorn in the lobby--huge hit with the kids! My daughter also hid her stuffed animal in the room on the way out and they called and held it for us to get when we come back through. The breakfast is also TOP NOTCH! Unfortunately, the walls are very thin. We could hear every footstep from the room above us, and by 7am, loud construction right outside made it feel like a jackhammer was in our room. No warning about the work either, which was the only thing that was disappointing. Overall, great service and family-friendly touches, but noise was a major downside. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs or ask for a top-floor room away from any construction. read more

I read the reviews and booked this place online. It was $109 a night and the price is good for what you receive. First, the hospitality is top notch. Grants Pass has not forgotten what hospitality is. Everyone and I mean everyone that works here was so nice. Sly checked us in and he was so kind and gave us a room near a family member when I requested it. He offered me a bag of popcorn as well and that is free and served from 6-9:30pm nightly. They also have coffee, tea, and apple cider in the lobby all the time. The daily breakfast had lots of options, but I would have liked maybe a potato option and cut fruit. They offer biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, bagels, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, and waffles. The people who worked at the breakfast were incredibly friendly and always filling everything. It's a small area to eat, but they are quick to clear tables and get them ready for new people. The location is great on the river and perfect distance between most things in GP. It's right next door to a big gift shop at Hellsgate tours. The room was plenty big and it came with a good size mini fridge and mini freezer as well as a microwave. The bath tub was big and the water was always hot. It has a small seasonal pool that is open May to mid October. My only wish is that the king rooms came with a pull out couch bed so that as a family we could get a king room and the kids could sleep on a pull out couch bed. Great place. Right on the river. Staff was great and they give you a nice pet bag if you have a pet. Includes a bowl, treats and some other items. We stayed here on our way to Washington and on our way back. Got the bag both times even though I told them they had given us one. Breakfast was awesome and it's a nice safe neighborhood. They even have wine and some snacks if you dont feel like going out. We will stay here everytime we go up to Washington to see the family. read more

In May we went to GrantsPass to go on the HellGate jet boats (What a blast ) and I knew we were taking a vacation to Ca. In Sept and I wanted to break up our trip back so I booked a room at Rivers Inn . About a week before they sent a text saying the elevator was still down and would we require a first floor room and we didn't because we packed light and we're healthy enough to carry our luggage up to the third floor so that was not a problem. And we wanted a view of the river that is why I booked it. When we got there to check in the lady at the desk was very nice, and showed great customer service! Gave us our room key, and we carried our luggage up the three flights, opened the door, we were pleased with the room, and then went out to the balcony to look at the river and had a view of scaffolding. I was totally bummed. I did not want to look at construction and workers, That's not why we were staying there. so abruptly went downstairs and asked for a different room and the gal that helped us in the first place said no problem we can move you, we have other rooms so the question is, why did they give us this only room with the construction view in the first place? We hauled our stuff up there without an elevator, and then they give us the room with a construction view. Anyways, I thought that was very strange. She fixed it right away, and that was good, but I don't know why we are given that room in the first place if you have other rooms, give your guest the best room that you can give them. A clean, welcoming and friendly hotel situated on the banks of the beautiful rogue river in Medford Oregon. Very close proximity to Taprock Grill and the Hellboat tours. Was pleasantly surprised by the upgrade to one of the top floors to a room that faced the rogue river. The entire staff, from lobby, housekeeping, reception and breakfast seemed very happy and jovial. The room itself was big, clean and smelled fresh. At 11:30 PM the front staff gal was darling and super helpful and there was plenty of parking for people like us who were pulling trailers. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and we had everything we needed. When we woke in the morning and realized how beautiful our setting was it was an extra bonus. I don't usually leave reviews for hotels, which I probably should. I'll start here. The room is spacious with a nice king size bed. The bed was comfortable and supportive which you don't seem to find anymore. For some reason we were surprised to find not only a micro fridge in our room, but there was also a micro freezer and a small microwave. Convenient. There is a balcony off of the room with a view of the river. It's nice and peaceful in the morning. Before this morning, I couldn't tell you the last time that I ate breakfast from a hotel. I divided my trip from northern California back home to Vancouver in two by spending one night at the Riverside Inn. The check-in by the staff at the desk was comprehensive, making sure I knew my way around the inn, including the location of the elevator. When asked, they also gave me some suggestions for dining out. A spacious single King room, a bed that was very comfortable and the view, at night from the balcony especially, is really wonderful. I got up and went to the car and got my camera to take a picture at a quarter after midnight. The property is older, but generally very well maintained. A flat-screen HD TV, the Wifi was easy to connect and fast once connected. The in-room coffee was by way of a small, single-cup maker, but the coffee quality was good and two each of caf and decaf were offered, with Coffee-Mate and sugar. The bathroom had a tub deep enough, and with water hot enough, to take a decent bath. The water pressure and showerhead were also very good for showering. I'm a bit of a stickler on that. Few places measure up. The breakfast area is well lit, small but comfortable, and the option is available to take food away on real plates to your room or pack it to go. The hot breakfast is well laid out, with traditional items; scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc., and also yogurt choices, fresh fruit, and bagels. The bagels were notably top drawer, fresh, not packaged. The hot food looked fresh and was flavorful. The attendant was helpful and friendly. At the very reasonable price I paid, I had not expected nearly as nice a place. I will make a point of using it for a stop on future trips through the area, or if we come to Visit Grant's Pass to look around. read more

The beds were super spacious kings and every room has a romantic view of the Rogue River. There are fridges and a gas fireplace and complimentary breakfast. As we were driving our Tesla, extra point for having two free charging stations on site. There are several terrific restaurants and bars within walking distance. This lovely overnight stay was just what we needed. The room was very clean but the best part was the balcony overlooking the Rogue River. It was absolutely breathtaking. Customer Service was excellent. And the breakfast was pretty decent as well. Bonus rarity; the coffee was also good! We accidentally left our food in the refrigerator and had to return to pick it up and they retrieved it for us and had it at the front desk. Such friendly customer service, too. We are looking forward to returning in the summer when everything is green and the river is rushing! read more

This hotel did a great job of making accommodations that were COVID friendly. The river view we had was very beautiful and we got a room that was a lot more affordable then surrounding hotels without compromising quality. We really appreciated that they were able to provide an inclusive breakfast by having us fill out a form and pick it up the next morning. We also loved that they have popcorn you can ask for :) Overall it felt more than just a place to sleep but a pleasant little stay that we would come back to again! read more

Called and booked a room through someone named Heidi, I believe. They do take pets which is a plus. I arrived at the property on a little after 7. Damon checked me in and had me sign the room quote for 119 a night. However, when I woke up the next morning I had and they charged me an additional 25.00. The amount of the fee is not the issue is that It was not in the bill I originally signed. When I left they tried to slip me a copy of the new invoice but refused. I advised them to give me a copy that I actually signed. Clearly, this was a mistake on their part and should not be passed on to the guest. Overall, the property was relatively clean. I asked for a late checkout and they did not inform house keeping. They knocked on the door multiple times even though I kept telling them I had a late checkout through the room door. I guess they couldn't hear me. I was super annoyed because I had been driving for 7 hours straight the day before and was exhausted. When I was packing to leave? There was an employee named Michael while was walking around the property. He was unbelievable rude when I said good morning. This place get and overall C-! Make sure you get a copy of your the invoice when you check in. The view of the river was stunning but that is mother natures doing not the property. While I appreciate the business actually responding? The fee wasn't the issue. The issues was that the invoice initially signed did not include the fee. The owner also did not address the rude employee. Reducing the experience to one star. read more

It's a little unfair to rate this hotel before I check in. But it's 5:45 PM and I've brought a group here for a fishing trip and out of our 5 rooms we've booked, NONE are ready. The manager suggested we go to dinner and come back. When we asked when he could guarantee the rooms would be ready, he stated: "By 9 PM." I'll update this when I actually see the rooms. Don't remember the initial date I started a review and didn't post it (oops). But it was early COVID times Today, June of 2023, the 5 stars still stands, and needs more stars added! On arrival, I found that the ADA compliant room I had requested wasn't available. Road weary, I got a little snippy. Laura, the person on duty at the time, went to work for me. She couldn't get me a different room, but she listened to my needs, even walked to the room herself to check things out. It sounded okay, so I (warily) decided to keep it. When I got into the room, first thing was someone had the A/C on. (It was 90-ish). If anything, Laura had held back on the qualities of this room! All of my concerns have adequate work around! A proper chair for the shower, not a little bench. Grab assist bar reachable from the stool, and a great patio area Thank you Laura for caring and being kind about the whole thing! Stayed 4/9 and 4/10 - Never again and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. In all of our world travels staying at hotels this ranks as one of the worst experiences. Paper thin walls and floors, slow drain (they came to fix but wasn't any better, 3 in of water by the end of your shower), shower with hot and cold switched, key stopped working.... room was roasting when we checked in. They had the heater cranked and we never quite got it cool enough for sleeping the first night. Nice view but had to call about people smoking on their balcony and smelling up our room twice so had to close it down. The first night we heard our upstairs neighbors stomping around at 2:30 am and 4:30 am and of course we were still hot. AC was too loud to run and sleep. The second night the stomping started again at 2:30 and this time we called the front desk. They did call the room and that stopped but then there was an engine type of noise that had started and when we went in our bathroom it was super loud and the floor was vibrating. It was like a really bad air conditioner at full blast. Too loud to relax so we called the front desk again. They offered to move us at 2:30 but we really didn't want to pack up everything. Cant you just come hear this? They said they would check it out. So we did our best to sleep with the engine noise but really didn't. In the morning the night person was still there and as we expressed our horrible night of sleep she said she did walk by and the room under us she could hear their fan was on. But didn't call as she didn't want to disturb them. (How were they sleeping) BTW the fan was on all night and still on at 7:30 in the morning. So the fan is so loud you can also hear it outside the room. We said we really feel like this second night we shouldn't have to pay for since it was so bad. They said when the manager came in at 9 am she would call us but never did and it is now a day and a half later. The only good point was a more generous breakfast options with Covid style than other hotels. Oh and the towels were fluffy. Not enough to ever recommend them. read more

Ok, how can this place not be all 5 stars? Unfortunately we only were able to stay one night because we are headed up to Olympic NP, and needed a place to rest for the night. And, right off the freeway is a Holiday Inn Express, which, don't get me wrong, is an excellent choice to stay at. In fact we always have great service and accommodations and even stayed with them the night before In Sacramento. Back to this place... Every room has a sweet view of the river which is amazingly beautiful. Our room even had a side view of a cool looking bridge. The place may be an excellent launching point if you are into fishing but the shore didn't look like it would be appropriate for kids to swim from, but no worries, the hotel has a pool- fish not included- hahaha! When a came to dinner there are plenty of options in town and a few in walking distance. My wife and I decided to enjoy the balcony patio view and went to the local Safeway and put together a salad and fixns- delicious! So when you check in, be prepared to be welcomed by people with smiles and a genuine hello. They will take care of you and even had fresh popcorn ready for an evening snack which we enjoyed with the sound of the freeway, no wait, THE RIVER, chirping birds, and a slight wind rustling the leaves of trees is soooo- not downtown Julie Brown!
