Required having car towed to dealer to re-program a key fab with car computer.......UGG. worst yet, my car was in short term parking at airport ($32 per day) and my car is all wheel drive, so not so easy to tow, (need to either flat bed or ride on wheel dollies. Good evening. It is 9:20 on Friday May 22nd. I am writing because I just had an encounter with one of your drivers in a white pickup truck. We were driving east on Olympic parkway when he began to tailgating me at an unsafe distance. I was already going 60 miles an hour and there was a car to my right so I wasn't able to get out of his way. He then cut over two lanes to the right and sped away at 80 plus miles an hour, only to need to be stopped at the intersection of Hunte and Olympic. when that light turned green, he again sped away at a high rate of speed only to be stopped at Olympic Vista traffic light. We both turned left and he was tailgating me unsafely again up the hill and when I turned left on old janal road, he kept going at approximately 60 miles an hour up Olympic Vista road. There was no need to be so reckless. He did not represent your company in a good light tonight. I'll look for my towing business elsewhere because of this. read more

This tow has been the worst experience I have ever had! My car was towed by San Diego PD 07/07/2023 because it wasn't safe to drive and was stuck in the middle of the road at 2:30am due to some mechanical issues. So, this morning I went to ASAP towing, paid the tow yard fees and called AAA to have the car towed to the Honda dealership for mechanical issues that could have been possibly covered under warranty. AAA sent Quality Towing out to the tow yard and the first serviceman who showed up damaged the body of the vehicle trying to lift it onto a flatbed tow truck. I told him beforehand the car could not be towed via flatbed as the front passenger wheel assembly was no longer attached to the control arm. He did not take that into consideration and decided to attempt pulling it onto the flat bed. He was unsuccessful and dragged the entire wheel assembly into the fender causing body damage and bumper damage. After this he said someone else would be coming with the necessary tow truck. I assumed they would return with a wheel lift tow truck since the car is front wheel drive and could have easily been hooked up and driven fine on the rear wheels. No, second tow truck that showed up was also a flatbed and this time there were two serviceman. I told the lead man that the car could not be towed via flatbed and that the previous guy damaged the vehicle trying to do so. He assured me that it was possible and just that the previous serviceman didn't know what he was doing and was inexperienced. I reported the damage to AAA and Quality towing. The lead serviceman also took pictures of the damage and advised his perior. So they get to work, they jack the car up and removed the wheel assembly. Then they slide two wood blocks under the rotor and let the car down to rest via the rotor on the blocks. They then proceed to DRAG the vehicle up the tow truck causing more damage and body damage. The entire transfer of the vehicle onto the flatbed was CHAOS and caused so much unnecessary damage. Also the lead kept telling me that Honda would not accept the vehicle because the damage to the suspension system and now the body wasn't mechanical and that I needed to take it to a body shop and call my insurance. But I explained to him that prior to Quality Towing causing "body damage" the car is under warranty through Honda and they could have fixed the mechanical issues with the control arm and suspension. But since they damaged the fender Honda advised taking it to the body shop where they could preform both the bodywork and suspension work. The lead serviceman was so adamant about taking it to his preferred auto body shop "All Insurance Auto Collison & Repair" up the road that I caved under his pressure and said fine. He said they work directly with Geico. Great, so I called my insurance and come to find out they aren't an approved GEICO auto body shop. So I look up the body shop and they have two stars on google, and now this is all beginning to feel shady. So I call GEICO and schedule to drop my car off 2 more miles up the road with a Geico approved auto body shop. I then called All Insurance Collision & Repair to inform quality towing to not remove the car from the flat bed because I do not want it dropped off there. The representative from the body shop proceeded to tell me that even though they don't work directly with GEICO they can still work with my insurance and do the repairs. She asked what my deductible was and even offered to help me out and cover half of it. Her desperation to have my car repaired there raised some major red flags for me and I said no immediately. When I got there shortly after I gave the GEICO approved auto body shop address to the lead serviceman and told him to take the car there instead. All the while him and the rep from the body shop are trying to convince me to leave the car there. The body shop would cover half of my deductible and the tow charges since they work directly with Quality Towing (what a coincidence). It was all beginning to feel like a scam/fraudulent at that point so I said no. So the serviceman took it to MY preferred body shop and proceeded to try and charge me for a tow I had originally scheduled through AAA. I refused to pay because it was within my 7 mile tow radius (2.9miles) for AAA and because of all the damage they had caused.Upon drop off Ability Auto body could not believe how much damage they had done to the vehicle from DRAGGING it onto the tow bed and also advised that I shouldn't pay out of pocket for this tow. The damage they caused was so severe they couldn't even reinstall the wheel assembly back on the vehicle after drop off. Instead they had to rest the vehicle and rotor on top of the wheel. It took Quality Towing over two hours to tow my vehicle 2.9 miles. I do not recommend them. I would rate them Zero stars if possible. BEWARE!! Quality Towing is running a scam with All Insurance Auto & Collision. Driver lied saying AAA would not authorize my tow. He didn't have to call for special equipment or use any specialized service. Then he said it would cost $600 to tow my vehicle 9 miles to my repair shop, but it wouldn't cost anything to tow it to All Insurance Auto & Collision. All insurance Auto & Collision charged me $1500, which I never authorized, to remove the driver side fender and the grill. That's it. I could do that myself in under 45 minutes. So I suspect that QT is collecting kickbacks from All Insurance Auto & Collision. QT cost me $2000 out of pocket and $3000 in loss of business opportunity. QT provided exactly the opposite of service, rather a trap where once All Insurance Auto & Collision has possession of your vehicle, they hold it for ransom and charge whatever they want in unauthorized "tear down" and other fake fees. If you have been victimized by QT, file complaints with the insurance carrier and State of California. read more

A flatbed tow truck speeding down the 5 almost rear-ended me. The driver was going so fast he had to swerve into the lane to the left. I was barely able to get the name of the company on the truck. He knew I was trying to get his license plate info because he sped up even more across 3 lanes to exit in a hurry. From reading other reviews, I'm not surprised that this driver drove the way he did...obnoxious and inconsiderate. It's a good thing they're company name is at the end of the alphabet. There is a reason this company has such low reviews- please go elsewhere!! My car was damaged by one of the drivers January 1st, I had to pay 1400$ to get it fixed. Filed a claim via my insurance who finally wrote me a letter stating that after speaking with the mechanic, they concluded the damage was 100% the fault of this tow company. The dispatcher I spoke with, Paula, was extremely rude(not even sure how these people get hired) and their one and only manager is on vacation. He towed it and was to my house in a timely matter already knowing the issue easily fixed. He was very friendly. My insurance contacted this company to tow my car. They knew it was front-wheel drive (in case the driver can't look at it and tell). I gave the key to the dealership where it was headed and went home. The driver showed up 25 minutes late for the pickup and called me, and his English was so poor he could barely understand what I was saying. He said since the key wasn't with the car, he had to call someone and hung up on me. The company says they won't tow a car without the driver or keys. Driver arrives and refuses to tow the car because I'm not there and I didn't leave the key. Told him dispatch said that was fine, please call your dispatcher to sort it out. He said he'd have the dispatch call me. No one calls me. I call them, they said I told that to my insurance company but not the towing company (either way, they CLEARLY knew there was no key and I was not there). Should be zero stars. This is the absolute worst and most unprofessional company. I had a blown tire on the I 5. Insurance company sent this company-guy in a pickup truck which should have been an easy change of tire to the spare. He claimed he did not know how to get my spare tire out ( it is under vehicle since SUV) and then said lug nuts corroded and he would not be able to do. He said to make sure to call his company and tell them I need a tow and then just took off, leaving me in the pouring rain on the side of the road. I received a text that said service cancelled because they could not find me. Blatant blatant lie. This guy was a lazy liar who did not want to change a tire and just promote a more expensive option to the insurance company for a tow. About 10 minutes later, a pickup truck pulled up. It was Roadside Assistance for CHP/Caltrans who saw me on side of road with flashers. Within 5 minutes of his arrival he had my spare tire out. He then proceeded to change my tire. There was no problem with my lug nuts. He then told me about Quality having a horrid reputation, known for lying and up-selling to use a tow truck, buying batteries and taking cars to " their auto repair shop". The guy seemed nice enough but it was relayed to me by Discount Tire that when the tow operator dropping off my car, he notified NOONE and just left my keys on the front desk of Discount Tire and parked my car in a handicapped spot where I could have been ticketed and towed. Called Progressive to get an updated ETA. 30 more minutes. 30 minutes later, still nothing. Called this towing company directly. Another 25 minutes. Still nothing. Called again and explained I've already been waiting for more than 2 hours. They said he was fueling up and will be here in 25 minutes. Still nothing. Shocker. The driver called me and asked why I wanted a tow. I informed him my brakes do not work. At ALL! He tried to tell me to try a few things. Mind you, Ford sent a tow truck cause I shouldn't drive a car with NO BRAKES. He finally paused for almost a minute then said fine I will come. When he got here he told me to drive out of the parking lot, with no brakes. Then made me drive onto the bed of his truck. WHAT!?! With no brakes he forced me to drive onto the bed of his truck and climb down. Isn't that against OSHA? Then he argues why I wanted to go to a specific dealership and not the closer one. He called to say he had to circle back BUT argued with me that we should have been on the right hand side and not the left and that it's not called q center divide, it's the lefthand side. Scam artists. They will say anything they need to say to shut you up on the phone but when you come to their doors it's a whole different story. I had my car towed here through a State Farm damage claim. I found a body shop I wanted it towed to so I called them to release the vehicle. They informed me all they needed was for me to recite my first and last name, and the receptionist confirmed the vehicle was released. My tow truck came and they did not release it to him, they required the registered owner present.... why the hell go through all that trouble to end up back at square one? How are these scamming tow trucks companies still in business? I ended up having to drive all the way down to the yard to release the vehicle, which just meant them handing me the keys and I handed my tow truck driver the keys. My insurance sent this company out when I got a flat tire. After waiting for hours I saw the tow truck at the other of the parking lot I was stuck in. I walked over and flagged him down and pointed out my car. He said he'd meet me there, then left the parking lot. i called dispatch and they told me he said I had declined service and canceled my call. Dispatch then told me that I'd need to open another claim with my insurance to send him back out, or pay double the price quoted by my insurance. USAA sends towing service requests to a 3rd party who contacts towing companies. Unfortunately in San Diego this seems to mean they will try to send me this company when I need a tow. They have never arrived anywhere near when they said they would. On more then one occasion I waited for more than an hour past their estimated arrival time and have the. have called a tow company I found on the internet to come tow me and just paid out of pocket. Today for example, I was told an estimated arrival time was 45 min after my call. After waiting an hour I called "Quality" Towing and was told the driver would call me back. I waited another 45 minutes and received no call from the driver. I again called "Quality" and reached a dispatcher who seemed annoyed to be bothered by my call. He explained the driver was stuck in traffic but would arrive in 30 minutes. I eventually called USAA and was transferred to their 3d party contractor who handles towing calls. They called the towing company and were told the drive was still stuck in traffic (I does. it take more than two hours to get anywhere in San Diego in almost any traffic). A couple of minutes later I received a text saying the driver would arrive in 124 minutes! I had to purchase an AAA membership last month; guess I will try then next time. If you are stuck with getting towing from USAA, ask their contractor to NOT send this company. My caller ID identifies this company as Angie's towing, so would avoid that company as well. read more

Called roadside service over an hour ago, they sent message that quality towing would be here within 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I called quality towing to find out where their person was, but guy, who answered the phone either didn't understand English, or was just a jerk. I gave them my address again and asked when someone would be here. He actually told me to call the tow truck driver. I said "no, that's your job". Click. Tow truck driver called me 15 minutes later and I gave him address. He had no idea where he was, and again, barely spoke English. The gps site was like 3 blocks away, but since he didn't know where he was, nor the area, didn't understand English, couldn't take directions. Chrysler called me, and I once again gave my location, she could barely speak English. Sent me "update" 50 minutes after call, that it will take approx. 60 minutes now. He was courteous, knowledgeable and I was impressed at how pristine his uniform looked after such a long road trip, that shows pride in his job. He had ne road ready in less than 30 minutes. As I was driving to work this morning I turned left though it was the right of way of the cars going straight- I was sure I had more than enough time to turn since it was in a residential area and the speed limit is 15 mph. The driver of the quality towing truck held his horn, honking for the next 30 seconds. When the one lane opened up into two he sped up next to me to throw his hands up in the air and flip me off. Obviously I did not receive service but I would never from a company who acts as this. You don't need to be working with a customer to be a kind person. These trash idiots showed up and didn't call anyone. They came out a second time and didn't complete the tow still not calling anyone.

At 4pm I was told they would come tow our vehicle in 45minutes to 1 hour. Called back an hour later and it seemed as though they were barely putting in a request for a tow truck, they even had me send photos of the large vehicle and then after being placed on hold they said it would be another 45 minutes to 1 hour. Called back again at about 6:15 and they said it would be like another 45 minutes. It is now 7:43 and we are still on the side of the freeway with no one here to tow. This is the worst service I have ever received. If they would at least be honest about how long they are going to take then it wouldn't be so upsetting. Oh and this isn't my first experience with them. Last year my vehicle needed to be towed and they took 3 hours. Finally got my insurance to call another tow company and somebody else came to tow us in a descent amount of time. If I could give 0 stars I would!
