Horrible customer service and workmanship. Todd, the manager, was pleasant on my first visit and on my last to pickup my vehicle after they did NOTHING to fix it, $900 later. The receptionist who took in my car and returned it today, GINA, was unbelievably unprofessional and even threatening. I asked for her name, because she had no badge, and she retorted "why?" I said because I'm documenting my case. She said "since you're suing us, I won't give it to you." I then demanded to speak to the manager. She gave me the wrong car keys and I again requested the manager. On her way out the door she said "you're lucky I'm wearing my company shirt..." Todd apologized for her behavior. Her text to me explaining the car issues was replete with typos and grammar errors, to the point I could barely understand. Do better QUALITY! Now on to the issue of their horrible workmanship: I brought my car in to QUALITY TUNE-UP to fix an OIL LEAK and they never did! I came in first on 6/28 for an oil change with a coupon (which they did not honor), and to detect where the oil leak was. They could not find the leak, so a dye was put in the engine and they told me to come back the next week for inspection to determine the leak area. When I returned on 7/5, after several hours, they called to say it was the rear transmission mount side axle shaft leaking. Recommended I replace the seal and mount. I asked if this would resolve the oil leak and they said yes, it would be good to go! $900 later, I drove home and within 2 hours it was leaking oil just as bad as when I first brought it in! I took the car back in to QUALITY today, 7/16, now they tell me to fix the oil leak they want another $779 to "remove and replace valve cover gasket"! THIS WAS NEVER DISCLOSED IN THE INITIAL DIAGNOSIS and I've only driven 6 miles since the last "fix"! I would never have paid the first $900 if that did not fix the oil leak, which was the reason I brought the car in! Now I will be suing QUALITY Tune-Up in small claims court. I would never use this shop again. They are poorly staffed, have rude employees, give different stories each time I've brought my car in, never fixed the problems, and instead "found" new problems insisting they would fix the oil leak, and then they lie about anything you do not have in writing! Wow!!!! 3/15/2024 had my AC fixed, spent $1354.17 I could not believe how much it cost, but I wanted to build rapport with the owner because I needed to find myself a new mechanic in the area (my current one retired) that I could trust and knew that he would take care of me and my family. I have six children, and we have a total of nine cars. I actually knew the previous owner of this Quality Tune-up location. That's why I came here. When I left after having the service, I could not believe how much I just paid. Todd. (The owner) could see that I was not really pleased spending that much money. He actually said out loud to me "don't even worry about it Joe, if you ever have an issue with the AC, it'll be covered." The AC went out in March of this year 2025. I remember because it was my birthday. I haven't came back to him because again we have nine cars and I don't use this car that much. Well, my Suburban just broke down today and so I brought my Infiniti here to have him look at the AC because the AC's been out since March. He has the nerve to tell me I have to pay $199 for him to take a look at it. I reminded him three different times that he told me if I had issues with the AC it would be covered. I even came back into the office and tried one last time and he still said no he's going to charge me the 199. It's so crazy in life, at my age and with my patience, I'm not gonna sit here and badmouth this man. He needs to make a living and he needs to stay in business. However, I really believe you do not screw over a loyal customer that especially you have the potential to do a tremendous amount of work with. I'm posting this review more to just let him know he missed out on more than $7,000 - $10,000 of repairs throughout the year every year. However, even more valuable than that is when a person communicates with hundreds of people a month believe me word-of-mouth is very strong! Especially for someone like myself who enjoys talking. I'm not even mad, I just feel sad for that business owner. I will just say what an absolute joke, I will not ever come back to him! No reason to respond Todd it'll just be a waste of your time just like it was a waste of my time posting this. I will continue to take my other vehicles to Midas and Work with David and Nick or to Carl at Rocklin car wash and lube or to Kieran at Roseville Auto Care or Jared at Bertinis. Quality tune up saved my trip!!! I had a major break issue in which I had to use my emergency/parking brake while I drove to stop. I had about 80% less stopping power in the foot pedal. I called AutoZone and they highly recommended I go see them. They said he is a fair priced, trustworthy, and a quality auto shop. They were right. They were great. They let me know what it needed. 2 things and it was pricey. I only did the more important thing I needed, a solenoid and they called about 4:30 to say it was ready. I paid and as I drove out of their parking lot, I noticed the exact sound was still there that I brought it in for. I called them back when I got home and they told me to bring it right back. After looking at my car again, they found out that the bigger problem with the car was 2 broken engine mounts and fixed it right up. I was really appreciative that they fixed my car. Replaced the alternator than came in the next day with the same issue. Oh now you need spark plugs and you have to pay for more labor!!!! Are your kidding me? They caused $3500. damage to my vehicle after they accidentally installed the sparkplug wires incorrectly and refuse to pay for the damages. So now I have to go to small claims court to get reimbursed. Todd the current owner is obviously only concerned with his profit magin, as most auto repair shops have garagekeeper liability insurance. I wasn't having any issues with my car, but the clutch was getting up there in miles and I already had the Clutch purchased so I thought why not just get it replaced ahead of time before something breaks so I eventually land on this shop. It was a bit more then $1000 in labor which made sense to me. I get the car back everything's fine initially and then about a month later maybe less my car stops being able to have the clutch released to a full position making the car undrivable. I called them and I bring it in. they charge me more money to replace something they already should've replaced whenever they messed with my clutch the first time. I think they broke something or didn't do it right and didn't want to pay for their issue And now here we are several months later having the exact same issue not even gonna call them and have them blow Smoke up my ass again and steal more money for me taking it to the dealership, which is what I should've done in the first place. Never take your car here they do crap work and then try to make you pay for their mistakes. 0/5 Update: Honda said the entire clutch wasn't installed properly so it's leaking lots of fluid from my slave master cylinder. I had a scheduled appointment today at 1:30 with the receptionist only. Then the receptionist said I could have my vehicle tested for the problem I had with the car but it will be one hour and 30 minutes before the mechanic can look at it. I asked the receptionist does this make sense that I have an appointment and I have to sit an hour and a half before the mechanic can look at the car and she said yes. This kind of way of running a business will put you out of business. Be honest when you book an appointment with full disclosure of the expected 90 minute wait. Unacceptable. read more

Overall NOT knowledgable on the basics of replacing oil combined with condescending service. Would not recommend. Save yourself the headache and head down the street to Midas. On 08/18/2022 I presented to Quality tune-up to have my oil changed. I believed that this was due as I had surpassed the date and the mileage listed on my previous oil change sticker and my check oil light had come on. I was assured that they were comfortable working on my vehicle make and model. As I was paying the total of $105 for my synthetic oil change, the technician entered and reported that my check engine light was on. I was surprised as it had not been on prior, and I informed him that when I arrived only my (erroneous) tire pressure light and check oil light were on. Seeing as how it likely happened during the oil change, I asked if they could run the diagnostic to see why the light was now on. They informed me that I would have to make a new appointment and that it would cost me $170 just to run the diagnostic, and that any repairs would be in addition. In addition, the front desk staff was frankly snarky - and said "Wow looks like it's not your day, is it?" And when I asked her to clarify if indeed it was indicated to change my oil she could not confirm and rather said "We do whatever the customer asks." I immediately, the same evening 08/18/2022, took it to another mechanic shop. They ran the diagnostic for free, and informed that the light came on due to having OVERFILLED THE OIL, a common problem in my car model. cannot recommend this shop as they seem to not have grasp on the very basic task of replacing oil and then trying to up-sell me by charging me an additional $170 to diagnose the problem that was inevitably caused by them. This is bad business practice, and overfilling the oil is a dangerous practice that can lead to serious engine damage. Save yourself the trip, avoid this shop! read more

I loved my entire experience at this facility. I chose this facility because it is Veteran owned. I had to have a SMOG check for license renewal. My car failed, which I couldn't believe as I'd just had a full inspection with all hoses, etc., changed.... It was a $7 hose that made it fail and labor would have been $25. The mechanic was a dream come true - he didn't charge me labor. I couldn't believe it. What a wonderful gift. The entire staff was very friendly, extremely efficient. Great experience. Brought my wife's car in due to a leak. Good news they figured it out pretty quick. Bad news it was the A/C compressor. They were able to get the part and fix it the same day unlike the dealer who wanted a few days to find the part. They also did the brakes and were reasonably priced. They gave me the $50 coupon they post online and a free cabin air filter just because. Obviously they made money on me but they were not over priced and the service was top notch. I've gone to Quality Tune Up 3 times and have consistently been happy with the results. I have found that they do not overcharge you. I used to go to Oil Stop for my oil changes, and Quality Tune Up is less expensive and you get more for your money, especially if you get the inspection that includes the oil change. Unlike places like Oil Stop, they have NEVER tried to upsell me. They frequently offer coupons as well. One time, I was having issues with my cooling fan and they ordered and replaced the part within the span of a couple of hours. They are super flexible too, and don't mind if you drop your car off early or pick it up a little late. My dad used to be a mechanic so I have verified Quality Tune Up's prices with him, and he has also stated that they are fair. read more

This place is top notch! I randomly chose Quality Tune-Up for an oil change about three years ago simply because they're close to my work and had good reviews. I have been absolutely thrilled with their oil change services, repair services, and customer service! Every time I need to come into the shop they've happily answered all my questions and, most importantly for me, charge a reasonable price for their services. Even when I want to go into the shop to see what needs to be fixed and why​. They're incredibly accommodating​ -- they don't have anything to hide like some other shops out there. Their customer service is far superior to any other car service shop I've ever gone to. I grew up around cars and helping fix them, these folks are simply in the service of helping their customers, not overcharging​ them. If I had my own garage and tool collection I'd work on my car myself, but since I don't have that at my disposal I am going to keep going to Quality Tune-Up for all my car needs as long as possible! LONG TIME DISABLED CUSTOMER TREATED POORLY-- BEWARE 7/29/21 I was treated poorly and extremely rudely by the girl at the front desk receptionist upon returning with my wheelchair lift van just a few days following a radiator flush and oil change service. My CHECK ENGINE light came on and the vehicle went through violent shaking when the engine was was running and would not accelerate. I explained that my vehicle was the sole source of transportation for my wheelchair bound son who is scheduled to have surgery on Monday. They told me they were too booked to deal with it and couldn't work on it until Tuesday. I exclaimed that it wouldn't help me get him to the hospital for the surgery or get him home after the surgery if the van wasn't repaired. I explained my loyalty as a long time customer and was told by the rude girl, "it doesn't matter how many times you've been in or how much money you've spent in here, it depends on the schedule." I insisted that they check the van because I was concerned the dysfunction was caused by the prior service and was fearful that the vehicle had become dangerous to drive. While I realize, my son's transportation needs are my responsibility, the rude girl lacks the soft skills of customer service which creates and maintains satisfaction and customer retention. In fact, I was so disgusted by the end of our discussion that I told her that she had just lost 2 customers with a total of 3 vehicles to which she responded, "That's fine as she smugly dangled my keys in front of me. We've had no issues with Quality Tune Up when living in the Bay Area. My senior father brought his car in here to get an oil change at this Roseville location and has since then had nothing but horrible issues with his car. We took it to another mechanic who said it looked like someone messed with certain parts of the car. Primarily the fuel pump and oil pan. We heard from the mechanic that they hear that Quality in Roseville takes advantage of older clientele there. The car never had a leak or any issues before it was brought there. Still do this day we have issues with the car leaking and can't afford to have the damage that Quality did to it repaired. Stay away from here by any means. read more
