Sesame chicken was tasty. Not too "bready", enough to hold the sauce. Sauce was sweet, but not over the top sugary. Considering the price $13.00, I expected a huge portion, wrong. Oh well, it was a fast meal to go for a lazy night. read more

I've been to Quan's twice now, the first time sampling my goto Chinese favorites, crab rangoons and general gaos chicken, along with a sushi roll, the Quan's Special. The sushi was phenomenal, comparable to Asian C or Great Chow. The crab rangoons had a nice flavor, you could actually taste the crabmeat which is rare. The general gaos was good, all white meat, good flavored sauce, a little too thick on the breading for my taste but overall way better than most other Chinese restaurants versions in the general vicinity. The second visit my husband and I got two different sushi rolls, both very good. I got the red sox roll which had a generous topping of raw ahi tuna on each bite - a plus on my book. Overall, especially considering how poor the quality of Chinese food options in this area are, Quan's is my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. I should note because of the other reviews, both times I've visited (granted I've only sat at the bar) the service has been phenomenal. Plenty attentive, with the owner taking time to come introduce himself, and then chat the second visit. Food comes quickly, empty drinks are refilled quickly, the decor is very nice and parking is ample. If you're expecting high end fancy pants chinese food, go to somewhere in Boston that promises those things for 3x the cost. For good chinese food in a nice atmosphere on the south shore, go to Quan's. read more

Tried this place once and wasn't happy. The food was fresh but blah, and the service was poor. The restaurant was very nice inside, but since the food was not to our liking we have decided not to return. In my opinion the Chinese restaurant just up the road from this place called Tsang's Village Cafe is the best around. Perhaps it's just a matter of taste, but Quan's didn't satisfy us. read more

Christmas eve screwup. Over one hour wait to get preordered food. Next year, no way. Very unhappy crowd of customers. I have no idea how they thought this was going to work. The even had the "Disney World" serpentine line going on so when thought you close, you weren't. That being said the food was warm and order correct. I have to give them credit for that. read more

Quan's Kitchen is awesome! I guess this place just opened up, so I figured why not stop in and see what they have to offer. Huge restaurant space, and really nice decor inside. Had some fantastic drinks at the bar (very reasonably priced $6-9) and a dinner combo that had generous portions. The general gao's chicken was extra spicy, just as I had requested, and I got a ton of it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks Quan's Kitchen! Took some time off going to other places. Went to Quan's last friday and as usual it was great. My wife and I always sit in the bar area. The food was just how we love it and my drinks were perfect. I think the only thing I don't like is the band on both Friday and Saturday . I remember going there before they had there opening and my wife and I would be able to have a great night talking and drinking. Now it's tough doing that. Just wish they would do it one night so I could decide if I want to listen to a band or relax and have a few drinks. Other than that I love the place .. read more

I got sushi which was really good. They said the wait time would be forty five minutes to and hour wait for delivery, but it got to my house in twenty minutes which I was super happy about. Ordering over the phone was difficult because it took a while for them to get my street but I was happy nonetheless. read more

Ordered delivery from here for the first time. SO disappointed! I was given an estimate of an hour which was fine, it was a Sat night. However, the delivery took 1 1/2 hours and the food arrived stone cold. Had the food been the best ever, it would have been fine, but this was the worst pad thai I've have ever had. read more

It is a shame. When Quans opens a few years ago they were awesome. As time has gone on the quality has gone down incredibly. They have messed up our take out order 5 out of the last 7 times. We order the same thing every time with little exceptions. We were told tonight that we art he problem. Apparently they have enough business that they don't need our business. The portions seem to be far less than when first opened. When we brought it up they again told us it was us. It is a shame because they were the best Chinese restaurant when they opened and have gone down hill in my eyes Rey quickly. Good luck if you try them. read more

I dont know how this place was Phantom Gourmet approved. I ordered more then 36 dollars of food for myself and my friend. Delivery took more then an hour! The food was luke warm, and tasted so bad. I ordered pork strips and got what looked like left over pork for pork fried rice and it tasted like dead fish were used to marinate it. I could not even eat it I had to throw it in the trash. The crab Rangoons were over stuffed and were soft and not crispy. The only good things were the Egg Rolls and Peaking Ravioli. Overall crapy food and crapier delivery time. read more

I've had Quans before and it has been a great experience. Placed an order NYE and there was an hour wait, no problem at all. I understand a very busy day for them. I got there and there was a line outside (thought this would be a good sign!) I was called out by my name and phone number and paid pretty quickly. Made a stop for one thing at stop and shop, literally in and out for one thing, and then home (less than 5 minutes away) opened the food at home and it was cold as if it was ready 10 minutes after I called, but then sat for over an hour. It was NOT good and it seemed like it was old, or cooked early on in the day and maybe heated up when I called. Extremely disappointed and the price for what we got was much too high. I'm willing to pay when the quality is good but this was very poor. Hopefully it was just the inability to handle and properly plan the business of the night because historically their food has been pretty decent in the past. read more

One of my favorite local places to go for sushi. Quan's offers a pretty huge menu with different types of Asian foods, including sushis and typical (American-style) Chinese food. I've personally only ever ordered from the sushi menu, but I've visited with friends who ordered other foods and loved them. I've tried over a dozen of their different makis, sushis, and sashimis and am yet to find one I don't like. Also, the wonton strips they give you in lieu of bread are really yummy. read more

Horrible and expansive. Crab rangoons are gross(if you are used to the cream cheese filling type)-these are not them. Got the pupu platter and the chicken fingers should have been cooked longer. Pork fried rice was blah. Also got the Marco Polo I heard was not that good. I did not have any my opinion the sauce that came with it looked disgusting.Worst Chinese food around. I'm giving Quan's Kitchen 3 stars, but only because I'm feeling really picky about the food - it was nothing special. Objectively though, there are some really great things about Quan's. It is probably the nicest looking Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. It is quite spacious, all of the furniture seems new or well-maintained, and the décor is reminiscent of a modern, foodie-type establishment. (There's a really cool wine wall in the back of the dining room that I kinda want to steal for my house.) My husband and I got a nice big booth for just the two of us on a Friday night. The service is very attentive and friendly - our server gave us time with the food and drink menus, and brought my husband his spicy chili sauce with our meal as requested. And the cocktails are CHEAP, like $6.50 a drink cheap, which is pretty darn good. I had a Pineapple Passion cocktail which was almost too boozy for my liking. More liquor for less money? Not a big selling point for me, but I can see the value. The food was just so MEH though. We had the Hunan chicken, which had only a few slivers of chicken and was mostly vegetables. They were big chunks of vegetables, quickly stir fried, in a tasty-enough sauce. We also had vegetable lo mein - the noodles were a bit underdone and the dish was overall a bit garlicky. Given all the other pluses, this place is probably worth another visit, and I'll try some other dishes. I'm still looking for my to-die-for Chinese on the South Shore... where are you? read more

We went to dinner last night at 7 o'clock the food was good but the service was horrible we already tea and she bring only 2 cups for four people we asked for two more cups she bring one cup and told us The other ones are in the kitchen she would get it when she went out in the appetizers came then she took away the appetizers because of table wasn't big enough for all the food nervous are appetizers again asked for a big table she walked away came back with more food and we said we want a big table she was mad and really never sorry after that other waitresses at a come over and give us beverages so if you want good food bad service this is your place read more

The service is absolutely horrendous. Our waitress couldn't speak English, brought us the wrong drink after making us wait forever and then disappeared. We had to bring it to the bar ourselves to get the right drink. Then, when we ordered our food we asked if one of the dishes had nuts in it because someone in our party had allergies. We were told us that it didn't, but when the dish arrived and the person who had the nut allergy was a couple bites in, there was a tingly sensation in his mouth, and we discovered the dish did in fact contain nuts. I had to go to the front desk to ask what KIND of nut it was. Luckily, it was only pine nuts and he only has a mild reaction to them. Phew! After that incident, our service seem to improve a bit. But the fact that the waitress couldn't understand English made for another incorrect drink. After dinner, we went to watch a live band on the other side of the restaurant. The area where they played was great. I do have to say the restaurant is esthetically very nice & fancy looking, and it's a great place to see a local band. The drinks, however, are ridiculously overpriced, I was shocked at how expensive! The bartenders I ordered from were extremely rude, unfriendly, grouchy people that really acted like it is a huge nuisance to get you a (VERY OVERPRICED) drink. The male bartenders, anyway. My boyfriend said the Lady bartender was pleasant to him. This place left a bad taste in my mouth. It was not a pleasant experience, it was a quite annoying one. I have been driving by Quans every day watching and waiting for it to open... Finally there it was a sign that read open for take out. So on my way home I stopped in and made my order. The place is big and they were very pleasant to deal with. Now for the food, big portions!!!! But all and all very salty... The stir fried rice was dry and lacking any flavor. The egg rolls were not crunchy like I like them and bland. Did I already say SALTY... I did brings their menu to work and my co workers the next day also got take out and complained about the food being over cooked and salty. The owners truly care(I know, I've met them), and work tirelessly to provide the best possible atmosphere and customer service. The food here is great, I can't say anything about the quality of food so if it was just about the food I would have given more stars. I will say that I was disappointed when dining in. My husband and have sat at the high tops in the bar area. I asked the bartender who was tending to us if I could get a pu pu platter for one since it wasn't on the menu. The waiter told me there were no substitutions and was not friendly, he didn't seem phased by the fact that this was disappointing to me. I found this odd since I've dined at there Attleboro location which easily accommodated this for me. The North Attleboro location would receive a 4.5. I even told the bartender how we had been to the Attleboro location and he was very short with me and said, this location is different and it's not available. Either way, it was annoying since I knew it wasn't a difficult request. Instead the server allowed me to order all things individually which was way too much food and totally unnecessary, not to mention way too expensive. He didn't even seem to care that I was unhappy. I've since returned once because the food is so good and my husband wanted to take another stab at it but my first experience stays with me and I'm really not a fan of this place because of that. The bartender was different this time, extremely friendly and accommodating. Whereas the other bartender we were lucky enough not to get on our return. I didn't ask for any alternative options and I do my best not to let one experience determine whether I like a place or not. The building is impressive but the food tastes like it came out of a can - little itty bitty square pieces of chicken in their chicken chow mein - and the chow mein tasted looked and smelled like it came out of a LaChoy can. Fried rice was grease and very overcooked. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more
