I am torn. The best nail service I have had in years was here. The worst I received was here. I think it's the luck of the nail technician. The last time I went , I got to the salon at 6:00. I was seated and no one came to work on my nails for about 15 minutes. When she did come to do my nails she was miffed. She asked me what time it was and rolled her eyes and while working on my nails kept bouncing her leg like she was irritated. It was awful. Getting my nails done is hard enough because I have a hard time sitting still for so long- this lady wanted to leave and I was in her way. Ugh. The good news is the time before that the woman who did my nails did such a great job they lasted three weeks!! I say go... but don't be like me and take the abuse of a nail tech who is irritated with you. read more

Very disappointing. It was highly recommended by a friend of mine to try you guys out. I made an appt for a Hollywood nu skin manicure with dip. I'm asked to pick my color and have a seat. The girl informs me I picked the wrong type since the color I picked was gel. We pick the correct color and she starts dipping my fingers in powder. So I told her, I wanted a mani.. and since she had already dipped most of my 2nd hand in, she said, I'll do it afterwards. Continues to scrape, dip.. then she is full on rushing. Spilling powder all over. Then grabs her tools to start my mani. At this point I notice that the nail clipper is used.. and I would think she would sanitize it, but no.. continues to rush through it. Even to the point that she didn't event put my hands in water until after she pulled my cuticles. In all my 25+ yrs of getting mani and pedi.. I've never had such a bad experience... and I never complain either. I just paid and left and will not return.. so do yourself a favor and don't go read more

This was my first time here. I came with my aunt and cousin to get a basic spa pedi and shellac mani. I hardly ever get my nails done (the last time I had them done was for my wedding almost 4 years ago) so I was really excited to get some pampering for my hands and feet. We were greeted by the receptionist immediately as we walked in. Our appointment was at 10:30 so we arrived about 5 minutes early. Even though it it was the day before thanksgiving and it was super busy, we were still seated for our pedis right on time so that was great. I also appreciated how they sat all three of us together and not apart as some places have done to me and a group before. The environment is quite relaxing and clean. There are plenty of seats for both manis and pedis. My technician for my pedi was very nice and did a good job on my toes. Same for my mani. The only thing I wish she had done was get the polish a little closer to my cuticles. My nails grow fast so in two days, I can already see my nail beds. But if I ever get a mani again, I'm definitely getting shellac. I hosted thanksgiving lunch at my house and my nails lasted through the whole thing. And so far has outlasted taking care of two babies as well! Overall, I would go back to Quarry Nails again. Reasonably priced and good service. read more

STAY AWAY!!! I'd like to give zero stars. I am new to SA, still trying to find a good nail salon. As I walked in I was greeted by a man who reeked of cigarettes, the atmosphere was chaotic! My "technician " was rude and rough, employees were constantly yelling at each other, those who did not have clients were playing on their phones, talking to other technicians as they were servicing their clients and one girl was napping on the nail bar. Definitely NOT a relaxing environment, they had club hip hop music playing. The more I looked around the more I noticed that this place is filthy. Dirty rags strewn about, it looked like the floor hasn't been cleaned in years. I am praying I do not get an infection, I am not convinced the tools were sanitized. read more

She will be the only reason I would keep going back! No one has ever taken care of me for a pedicure as Morgan has! I absolutely love her! That is the only reason for the 5 star as well! I loved this salon. From the moment you enter, it is a very relaxing experience. My friend and I went to Quarry Nails on a weekday evening without an appointment, for pedicures. The staff was very nice and accommodating and they did not attempt to upsell us on anything. The pedicure was amazing, the water was the perfect temperature (not boiling my skin off), and the pedicurist had a firm but gentle touch during the scrub and massage portion. They have a great selection of color and the best part is the complimentary mimosa or wine. COMPLIMENTARY. MIMOSA. UPDATED REVIEW: The last few times I have been into this place, I have been very disappointed. The technicians do not care about what they are doing, they would rather sit around and talk. Then if you have something wrong within a week of getting your nails done they will charge you $5 to get it fixed because it was something you did. The management at this salon is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. During my pedicure, two members of the management team yelled at multiple of their employees in front of a salon full of customers. I've been here twice now and had two different technicians. Both technicians were great!!! This is my new salon for sure now! The first time I went in with an image I was trying to look similar to and Van painted the blue colors perfectly. The paint was smooth not bumpy and lasted over two weeks. Sunday I went in at 5 and my technician (I didn't get her name) and even though they closed at 6 she took her time and didn't rush. The pink polish was my original choice and last minute I decided to add the black tips. She wasn't upset or bothered by that at all. Super sweet woman! Great job quarry nails! I knew it was a bad idea to cheat on my usual spot, but I was in the area. I recommend Asiana Nails they never do me wrong and the managers/owners actually walk around checking the work. First off I went in for a pedi and full set. Both were done at the same time, I could understand the rush, it was a Saturday morning. Ken did my pedi, candy did my nails.... I noticed the color wasn't the one I chose when he was putting it on, I chose a off white and he was putting on a light pink. It was a honest mistake and the color wasn't bad or too much diff from the original one I chose so I just kept it. I showed the technician the shape and length I wanted, which I always get at my other salon. (I'll include pic for reference) Right away noticed they were way too short, thick, and way too "bubbly" looking and not smooth at all. IT was clearly a bad paint job and the tech still sent me on my way, I was super unsatisfied and I usually don't complain but for a total of $105 I wasn't going to let it slide, and definitely wasn't going to be seen with such horrible nails. I asked to speak to the manager and he said they'll redo them, he brings the same tech and I asked for someone different, so the new tech comes and says "WHAT DONT YOU LIKE ABOUT THEM" and I said "everything, the shape is all wrong, color, texture, and I don't think they can be fixed." asked to see the pic I showed and she tells me "yeah because the way your nail bed is, that shape can't be done" So I'm like "really because my other nail salon does it all the time no problem" So I'm aggravated by her response and I tell her I just want them taken off now. so she brings back the original tech who did them and she says "I don't understand why you want them off, I spent time on them" ....being a nail tech you should be able to tell what's wrong, and the whole playing dumb thing was getting on my nerves. She asks for me to let her try and fix it and if I still don't like it, she'll take it off. So she fixes it I guess the best way she can, makes them thinner and smoother, she then apologizes and says "I'm sorry I didn't check my work before" ....so you admit to knowing they looked bad to begin with? Anyways, I give 2 stars instead of one because they are semi decent now, still not what I wanted and took 2 hrs, no refund or discount.. but money isn't the issue here and the manager came and asked if they were okay so I appreciated the effort to fix it. I was familiar with them 2 years ago with no issues so I trusted. Mistake! Went for nail dip powder while Emily was rude and distracted. Nails lasted less than one week with 2 cracks and 2 lifts. They did repair for free. Decided to go back for a Pedicure. The gel color chipped off of 3 toes in less than one week. They fixed. Decided to try the nail dip powder with another technician- nope! 1 week and I have cracked nails. Either they are using cheap product or technique is bad. I hate wasting money and time. read more

Regan was the absolute worst technician to perform my manicure & pedicure!!! My nails on both hands were not even filed the same--some more square than round, & I even asked her to re-file them more round (disappointment number one)! Disappointment number two came along when I smelled lavender (I am highly allergic & notified the girl as soon as I walked in, as well as the technician when she asked what kind of pedicure I wanted) & sure enough she was rubbing lavender location on my left arm--I freaked out and started scrubbing the location off with a towel and water from my pedicure faucet! Disappointment number three is the overall appearance of my polished nails--terrible, just terrible!!! The forth disappointment came along when she only put callous remover on one foot and not the other--may I ask why?!?! Number five was the lack of foot massage for a $55 pedicure, even though it states a "10 minute massage," lightly moving your hands across my legs and feet does not count in the least bit. I've been coming here for several years and sad to say I won't be coming back. I asked for a specific number dip color- the color wasn't actually what was pictured- the manicurist and I both noticed half way through, he said he would put the correct gel color over the dip and it would be fine. This resulted in a lumpy, thick, uneven manicure(some parts of the dip color were showing through the gel). I told them that I would tip the manicurist bc it's not his fault the color was mislabeled, but I shouldn't have to pay for the manicure, the manager said they would redo it right then, I told them I didn't have another hour to take all of this off and reapply- he said come back in another day or two and I said look, I shouldn't have to make more time to come back and get this redone and still pay for this. He didn't seem to understand that- so I just paid and left, but I won't return, I've spend hundreds of dollars here over the years and now they just have terrible customer service. read more

Updated review: I was initially very happy with my experience, but quickly changed my mind. If you know me, I hate giving less than stellar reports on my reviews but I felt that I was giving the people a misrepresentation. My very expensive shellac nail polish began chipping in just 2 days!!! But the end of the week, only the black undercoat was left! I would have gone back to complain and get them fixed but I was on vacation. I was so upset that I had spent so much time and so much money for polish that was going to chip off before the weekend even started. That being said, I will not be returning. Original review: This nail salon is located in the west portion of the Quarry shopping center. I was in the area and needed a manicure before I left out of town so I Yelped nail salons in the area (whoop whoop)! This place luckily takes walk ins, however, many of the other customers had scheduled appointments. One thing that stuck out to me about this place is that they have a HUGE selection of shellac and dip polishes! Like I was overwhelmed with the choices! But in a good way, of course. I came in with the intention to go red, but called an audible and went for a metallic black blue! As soon as I sat down, I could tell this wasn't a cheap, trashy nail salon because the bowl of water they had for me to soak my nails in had a fresh slice of lemon in it! #classy Michelle was my technician and she took her time to ensure my nails looked flawless! She painted each of my nails as if they were mini canvases! When she was done, she was not satisfied with 2 of my nails and completely removed the polish and started again on those nails! My shellac mani with chrome polish cost $50 but they look like I spent $50 so well worth it! The only thing is that I was kinda on a time crunch and like I said Michelle took her time with me. I will definitely be back but I will make sure to give myself ample time to enjoy. read more

I've been a customer for a couple of years and unfortunately I'm done with this place. I get dip manicures and every single tech does them differently...some good, some not so much. Some do 2 coats, today I got four. Lately they all seem to be extremely rushed and the last 3 techs I've had are very hurried to the point they file extremely fast and hard and actually burn the skin under the top of my nail. Most times I have to come home and re-file/shape and today I came home looking like my nails are textured...not smooth and shiny. Over it. They just rush too quickly through customers now. My nail tech was Stacy. First impressions were not good as she sat me at a chair that wasn't set up and went to get her things which took several minutes of cell phone usage and talking before I actually saw her go to the room and grab her case. Luckily she has a great personality and once we started talking I found her fun. But long story short, I'd rather be Stacy's friend than nail client. Are my nails pretty? Yes. Are they in any way my preference? No. The simple answer to why, I wasn't asked. I have very healthy feet, take care of my skin and grow my nails. She had a great template and I feel let down that my nails which started several centimeters longer than my toe top were cut in a very straight line All the way to the quick in the middle which left the sides very long in contrast. There was no gradual cut down, she went straight for my big toe, and cut the nail maybe half a centimeter above the connection point where skin meets nail. I Hate Having My Nails Short. I never stopped to ask her where she would cut because the conversation started with her saying how long my nails were and she'd have to cut them down but it was better than people who came in with no nails and wanted French. 3 seconds later, I have no nail in the middle and long nails in the side. :/ My feet don't have crazy callus skin except one area and I felt like she over focused on that area to the exclusion of smoothing out my heels at all. I actually came home and used my pedi file to smooth my heels so they'd match the bottom of my feet she focused on. She took her time working on me, which wasn't a blessing as I was stopping in on my way to work and only had a 90 minute window as I didn't figure my pedi would take more than an hour. The chairs are nice with massage features you can control while you get worked on. I also like that they offer drinks, which I declined so I don't know what specifically they have. It was fun getting to see everyone wearing their Chinese New year outfits, very colorful. However I think the set up is very cluttered up front. Just my 2 cents. End result looks nice, but the next day I went back to boots and tennis shoes with dread knowing how are the front of my big toe nail was would hurt being pushed into by the unforgiving interior of ladies boots. I don't believe you can't have it all, you just have to know where to find what you're looking for. At $45 for my deluxe pedi with lavender scrub, I'll have to sadly say this place isn't it. The front staff/management are very rude. Walked in and was not greeted. We went closer to the front desk and asked how long the wait time was, the woman in the front waved me off and says 30 mins as she walked away. She never took my name to see if we were willing to wait. She really seemed bothered that she had to help us. She was being rude to everybody. Now sometimes we all have bad days but every time I've been to quarry nails, their customer service is awful. They aren't friendly and always seem to be annoyed at any requests. The nails techs are talented but the front staff is dreadful. We left to a nearby salon across from Trader Joe's. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and had a nice, relaxing service. read more
