Over all those new car-buying experiences - and not counting the few used one's we purchased from a dealership as well - none came close to the quality of care we received from Andy and Ben. (I should include my initial online contacts with Dan, as well.) To a person, they were competent in their demeanor with us; considerate and friendly; authentic (as in, "being real" and not a "salesman"); educated on the facts and admitting it when they were not - but were willing to find out; genuinely sincere. We came away with not only the car that we were looking for, but with the sense that we actually made friends with some individuals who, when they leave their "day job," are the same at home with their families. They helped us above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are not low, but nor are they unreasonable. Adam's conscientious time with us in test driving and getting Joy the right vehicle she wanted, was simply matched by Ben's absolute friendly expertise in managing the financial aspects of the purchase. Despite seeing negative reviews online, I decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. During our visit, our trade-in vehicle was damaged during a test drive. Afterward, warning lights and an alarm/siren were going off. When we asked for help addressing what had happened, instead of helping us resolve the situation, we were told to leave the property. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the people involved would not provide us with their names, business cards, or contact information when we asked. I ultimately picked up the salesperson's business card from his desk, which he did not want me to take. I will be posting a video showing what happened so people can watch it and decide for themselves. Based solely on my personal experience and opinion: Buyer beware. I would not recommend Manly. I was able to bring it in same day to get an estimate and the repair itself was a few days. The communication at every stage was very quick. The repair was perfect and my mom-van was shining when I got it back. They not only washed the exterior, but they also cleaned and polished the headlights and vacuumed the inside. He was forcing us into a deal we should have never signed, and wanted us to commit to $64k in debt for a Honda EXL. (For comparison, I bought the same car the next day for $30k cheaper.) When I left the room as my mother called me with a medical emergency, he then proceeded to ask my wife for her phone number and hit on her. Then when my wife said she was uncomfortable and pushed back on the deal he tried to pressure to sign the paperwork WHILE I WASN'T IN THE ROOM!!!! When she showed hesitance he became aggressive with her all while I was outside on the phone. When we left, we told them we had a medical emergency and I wasn't aware of what had happened just yet. The managers hunted me down asking "what happened". At that time I didn't even realize what the guy had done. After that I reached out to the manager and filed a complaint. In this day and age, there's no place for predatory men such as that financial manager. Our 2017 Acura TLX suffered a connecting rod bearing failure that was covered under Acura's recall. Before the failure, the vehicle routinely achieved fuel economy consistent with Acura's published ratings and our years of ownership experience. Around the time of the bearing failure, fuel economy dropped dramatically and has remained severely reduced ever since. Over the course of several months, we worked extensively with Hopkins Acura, providing fuel receipts, mileage logs, manual MPG calculations, photographs, and detailed documentation. We gave them every opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue. Instead of focusing on finding the root cause, we were repeatedly met with shifting explanations, contradictions, delays, and ultimately a refusal to continue helping. One of the most concerning aspects of the entire experience was the quality of the recall repair itself. After major engine work, the vehicle was returned to us with the battery improperly secured. While Hopkins corrected the issue after we brought it to their attention, it understandably raised concerns about the overall attention to detail during a repair that involved significant engine disassembly and reassembly. The most disappointing part of this experience was dealing with General Manager Mike Gough. Rather than taking ownership of the situation or demonstrating genuine concern for a long-standing customer, his communication reflected exactly the type of stereotypical car dealership mentality most customers dread. When we raised legitimate concerns supported by documentation, his responses became increasingly dismissive. Instead of addressing the facts presented, he ultimately chose to tell us to seek a second opinion elsewhere while simultaneously banning us from future service at any Hopkins Auto Group dealership. Think about that for a moment. After multiple visits, multiple repair attempts, countless emails, and months of effort on our part, their final solution was: "Go somewhere else." Even more frustrating, Hopkins repeatedly suggested obtaining a second opinion from another Acura dealer yet offered no assistance with the cost of doing so. When I directly asked whether Hopkins would cover the expense of the second opinion they were recommending, I never received a response. The email was simply ignored. What stands out most is that nobody ever actually explained why a vehicle that once achieved well over 20 MPG now struggles to achieve 15 to 16 MPG. Nobody identified a root cause. Nobody offered a meaningful plan toward resolution. They simply declared the vehicle "normal" despite extensive documentation showing otherwise. Jessica Wagoner and Sheila Roberts were generally professional throughout much of the process and at least engaged in the conversation. Unfortunately, once the matter reached upper management, customer service and accountability seemed to disappear entirely. If you're looking for a dealership that stands behind its work, thoroughly investigates customer concerns, and takes ownership when problems arise, my experience suggests you should look elsewhere. Hopkins Acura had months of documentation, multiple opportunities to make this right, and every chance to demonstrate exceptional customer service. Instead, they chose to dismiss the concern, refuse future service, and stop communicating when asked difficult questions. Extremely disappointing experience, and based on how this situation was handled, I would not purchase a vehicle from Hopkins Acura of Fairfield nor would I recommend their service department to others.

The detailing was excellent considering that the car was 40yrs old with original paint so extra attention had to be paid and it obviously was. The windows tint came out perfect and as for the paint touch up people really need to understand that only so much can be achieved with a touch up job and even when it comes out really good it is rarely showroom perfect even when companies do their best with what they have to work with, so the choice is simple,you either spend 6 grand or more for a new paint job or a couple of hundred for a decent touch up job.
