I have purchased several glasses from here and always greeted with a smile and the staff there are very friendly.. Especially This guy Christian, who helped me out and was very patient with me. Jen, the asst manager, also a great girl to deal with. I'm sorry to see those negative review, but they come across as self-centered, selfish people with think the world revolves around them and think they should have them staff waiting on them hand and feet..This me me me generation needs to get a grip on how the real world works. My only previous experience with Quay is purchasing my sunglasses at Nordstrom. I never had a problem, but I figured since I was at the mall I would stop in. I have been eyeing a new pair for my collection so I was eager to shop. The staff barely looked up at me to greet me. I tried on a few pairs and ended up selecting the ones I had looked at online. The staff did not come over to offer any help with anything at all. I was in the store for about 10 minutes, mind you it is not a big store. When I was ready to make my purchase I told the staff which ones I wanted. She picked out the wrong ones but was apologetic when I corrected her. I think I will stick to Nordstrom or online for purchasing my Quays. read more

I have to give the store 5 stars!! Glasses: The glasses themselves are of average quality (I admit) but they are stylish, cute, and comfortable! The quality of the lens is great for me, but the build is just okay! But I'd still keep buying them! When raybans are in the 100s and these run between 40-60, they're very worth it to me! Brea Mall staff: THANK YOU! I have been in there 3 times now. Once to purchase, and twice to deal with warranty for my glasses breaking. They are phenomenal, helpful, professional, and made me feel better (and not crazy) about having to come back with the same problem twice in a month! I placed an order over a month ago for 2 pairs of sunglasses and my order has still not even been shipped. I have try contacting the customer service line, customer care email, and their Twitter DMs. Twitter seems to be the only way I can get a response. They have attempted to help me a few times but my order has still not shipped..so clearly they need to work on their customer service. Do not be surprised if you order sunglasses from here and they take forever to come in or possibly don't come in at all I'm not sure if I'm even getting mine at this point! The employees were extremely unfriendly and completely and utterly rude. The shop itself is like a walk in closet sized room. The shop fills up with so many guests and there are only so many mirrors for try ons. By the time you run back and forth and finally find the pair you like the staff doesn't seem to help whatsoever. First and foremost I love the selections that Quay Australia has. I have a larger face so it's difficult for me to find sunglasses that are the right size while being stylish, affordable, and high quality. I bought two pair when I went in and the girls that worked there were extremely helpful (and honest, without trying to upsell me). Second, I had an accident with one of the pair of sunglasses I bought, causing the arm hinge to bend (my fault). I brought in my glasses, thinking maybe they could have the manufacturer repair them at some sort of price. One of the ladies who worked there, Jen, was so nice and allowed me to exchange the glasses!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I visited this store twice & won't ever be back!! Reason why I even came to this store, was for a return from, an online purchase . when I went into to the store the lady said I couldn't, return without the box in came from the mail, because she had to scan the box to make a refund ? Which that was a first I ever heard of a retail store doing that... so I told her I would be back with the box. I came back the second time, with the box! And the girl at register said I didn't need the mailing box and we do not scan the box for any reason! After she took everything out the box she took the sunglasses out of the case and cleaned them and began to examine them, after she did all that she wouldn't accept my return because I paid with (Quadpay) and told me would have to return by mail. Which I was already Furious at this point because the first time that was never told to me. and when I spoke with quay rep over the phone they said I was able to return my sunglasses to any quay store, no matter how I purchased the sun glasses. This store needs to get there information/communication in order and train each employee to communicate same details to customers ... about returns/exchanges waste of customers time. Let me first start off by saying I love Quay. I've been buying them online for years and recently decided to make the hour long drive to the retail store they have in Brea. The female brunette associate working seemed snotty when we first walked up and boy did she earn that title... she told us we could try anything on just to give them to her to wipe off after. The first pair I picked up literally had someone's face oils on the part between the lenses. The frames were matte so it was very easy to see. I nicely asked her to wipe them off because of the oils and she was so rude about it and kept saying "I didn't see any oils" and "I wipe off every pair so they weren't worn." Like why don't you just shut your mouth, smile, and wipe off the pair of sunglasses? It takes 2 seconds. I was so disappointed that I drove so long for such horrible service. I'll continue to buy my sunglasses online. read more

The sales associates, Christian, wouldn't let me return sunglasses without the original credit card even though I had the original receipt. This was a gift and I was unable to get the original card. They offered no alternative ways to get this resolved. Christian simply said, "we have a strict policy." He was more than willing to help when the purchase was made but so inflexible on getting a simple return done. How is this customer friendly? Do not buy sunglasses from this store unless you're 100% sure that you want your cheap sunglasses. They are not customer friendly and not willing to work with you at all unless you want to waste your money here. read more

The store has very unique styles, different from any of the other stores at the mall. Quay is small, so the workers were able to take their time and help me try on different pairs of sunglasses. As I was checking out, Christian took a look at my sunglasses and caught a small scratch on the lenses that I wouldn't have noticed. He replaced them right away with a new(er) pair. Extremely unhappy with the customer service here. I put my Quay sunglasses on today and they nearly fell off my face, upon further inspection I found that one of the arms was bent, not the screw, but rather the plastic arm had a sort of warp to it. (Mind you I bought these sunnies less than a month ago, on the 27th of June to be exact, along with a hard case for them.) So I grabbed my receipt and took them back to the store I purchased them from in order to exchange them for a non faulty pair. I was told they couldn't be exchanged because whatever force of nature caused the arm to warp wasn't covered under warranty, but I could take the $60 pair of sunglasses to lenscrafters and ask if they would use their heat gun/machine to fix them. How ridiculous is it that a company won't exchange/replace their poorly made product but want me to take this cheap pair of glasses to lenscrafters. If what is required to fix these is a HEAT GUN, clearly the warped arm was caused by something out of my control, THUS couldn't possibly fall under the 'accidental damage' clause. I'm extremely disappointed (and irritated), I work in customer service, and the customer service is terrible here. It's no skin off anyone's teeth to just replace the pair of sunglasses. Giving it one star for the reason that One of their employee does not know their product, i was coming from downtown LA called the store prior asking if they I have an item in stock ASSURED me they did, I asked her about 3x ti make sure it was the same one, drove an hour just to get to the store and the SAME girl tell me they didn't have it in stock .... I got livid and all she was able to do is apologize and tell me that I can order them online, but no free shipping, reasoning for me going to the store is to avoid shipping and get them that day, reason why I CALLED THE STORE prior to me wasting my gas!!!!!!!!!!! Came to take a look in the store today and when I entered the two women didn't even smile or greet me what so ever didn't catch their names unfortunately because they were not wearing name tags. Gave dirty looks the entire time and didn't even interact with any of the other customers including me. They both just were talking to one another paying no attention to their customers. Very rude. I love Quay! I have several sunglasses from Quay and I love each one! I'm always getting compliments! As far as the complaint on the associate named Christian; I just have to say that from all my experiences shopping at Quay Brea Mall he has always given exceptional customer service and goes above and beyond for customers. Companies have "a strict policy" for a reason and it's not the employees fault for simply enforcing the policy. They're not the ones who make the polices so stop blaming them for simply doing their job. Almost ALL retail stores require that you have the original form of payment when doing a return so this shouldn't be surprising. All in all I love Quay Brea and will continue to shop here! read more
